Plot
Shamus O'Reilly is supposed to receive $1 million for a scandalous video-tape desperately wanted by notorious businessman Kaiser Poppo. Before Shamus arrives for the switch, Poppo's thugs accidentally give the money to Shamus look-alike Dave Rickards, a radio host in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rickards is chased through the streets of San Diego and onto a train, where he makes a clean get-away with the cash. Now Poppo wants both the video and his money back, but must contend with the FBI, con men, and his long-time nemesis "The Greek". Despite advice from San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and Watergate legend G. Gordon Liddy, Rickards loses track of both the money and the video-tape. He is then tricked into a dramatic showdown with Kaiser Poppo and a 30-year-old secret is finally revealed.

Plot
Down-and-dirty musical love story set in the world of the working class. Nick is an ironworker who builds and repairs bridges. He's married to Kitty, a dressmaker, a strong and gentle woman with whom he has three daughters. He is carrying on a torrid affair with a redheaded woman named Tula. Nick is basically a good, hardworking man driven forward by will and blinded by his urges. Like Oedipus at Colonus, he is sent into exile and searches to find his way back through the damage he has done. Explores the cost and value of a relationship through life and death. When the characters can no longer express themselves with language, they break into song, lip-synching the tunes lodged in their subconscious. It is their way to escape the harsh reality of their world - to dream, to remember, and to connect to another human being.

Kitty Kane: You two must think I'm the cucumber in the gardener's ass.
Cousin Bo: Some people fear the Lord. I fear women.::Kitty Kane: What really happened between you and Roe?::Cousin Bo: Roe... was my first love. I traced her name in cow shit. She was my first, my last, my everything.::Kitty Kane: Was it um... true? I mean that, you had...?::Cousin Bo: What?::Kitty Kane: Um... trouble?::Cousin Bo: Only with Roe. With other chicks, I'm Barry White. I go to the meat market.
Nick Murder: Are you circumcised?::Angelo: What?::Nick Murder: Are you circumcised?::Angelo: Circularized?::Nick Murder: No, circumcised.::Angelo: My circulation's fine.::Nick Murder: No, are you circumcised?
Rosebud: I heard you with Fryburg. He makes loud noises, and I hear them.::Constance: He makes loud noises?::Rosebud: Yeah, I wanna make them too. I told my psychiatrist.::Constance: What?::Rosebud: Well I had nothin' else to tell him so...::Fryburg: HEY!::Constance: Oh, fuck off, Fryburg.::Fryburg: I'm a fucking star!::Constance: Did he do his Richard Gere for you, jumping all around in his jockstrap?::Fryburg: GEAR!::Rosebud: I love Richard Gere. He's hot.::Fryburg: Hot chocolate!
Baby: Dad?::Nick Murder: Yeah.::Baby: I'm going into wedlock.
Nick Murder: Would you give me one more chance? Please? I'll do anything! Anything! I'll give you anything! I love you. Maybe I don't know how to show it like they do in the movies or in books but I love. I have love to give.
Cousin Bo: I wanna buzz your butt.
Constance: Porkchops!::Rosebud: Porkchops!::Constance: Lambchops!::Rosebud: Lambchops!
Nick Murder: Two, two things a man should know how to do...::Nick Murder: Be romantic and smoke his brains out.::Gene Vincent: I agree...
Tula: [to Nick Murder] G-strings, push-up bras, teddies, garter belts, crotchless pantyhose. Fuck bloomers. That's what I sell. To rich, tan, bored housewives who take the fat from the ass cheeks and inject it into their lips. You gonna kiss someone's ass then you should know that that's what you're kissing. Personally, I think that kissing's sexier than shagging, but you're sucking on chicken fat there. Not that their husbands mind. You know, they're out buying big homes, buying paintings, going to the fuckin' opera, taking one up the bum for the queen while the misses are out sticking their fannies in my face. "Does my bum look big in this? Can you see my cellulite?" What they need, these women, is a good old-fashioned horse-fuck. They can buy all the new panties they want, but they get stained, don't they? Stained panties are part of life no matter how hard you wipe.::Tula: I think you're dead sexy. Not at first, then one day I looked up and saw you working with your shirt off and your gut out. That's a man, I said to meself. A real man. Someone to take me down the pub for a pint. You're way too old for me, but I figure you only go around once in life. I got, what, 75 years? Don't get hit by a bus. I want to kiss you, big man. Give you a big sloppy, wet kiss. You won't tell anyone that? Inch by inch the elephant fucked the ant.
Plot
One night at a restaurant, Warren Lowe notices a striking older woman celebrating her 80th birthday. He's seen her before. Thirty years earlier, when she was 49 and he was 19, they were entangled in an intense, secret love affair, which ended when Gail moved away. As he struggles to connect the vivacious, middle-aged woman of his past with the old woman he sees now, the two of them take a bittersweet journey through time, place and memory. "The Moor" is a haunting tale about love and loss, youth and old age, dreams and disappointments, truths and lies.

Michael: What are you doing?::Lorraine: I'm going to New York to open a whorehouse, Michael.::Michael: Look, Lorraine, I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said before.::Lorraine: I know you didn't, Michael. But I'm going to New York with Jack. It got too stuffy here.::Michael: I don't get it, Lorraine.::Lorraine: You really want to know?::Michael: Yeah.::Lorraine: You've got these rules, Michael... but whose rules are they? Whose dream are you buying into? You've been angry for so long you don't even know it. We're all scared... but somehow we don't believe that babies, TV sets, two-car garages and McCarthy are going to make us happy. You think Roslyn did something wrong. Maybe in your world she did, but in our world she's just fighting for some sort of freedom - freedom from slavery she can't even explain. Don't you see, Michael? Life is not wall-to-wall carpeting with half down and the rest of your life to pay. You and I had a good time, some tenderness... but you can't even enjoy it because somewhere in your mind it was dirty... un-American. Figure out what you want, Michael. I'm not sure time is on your side. At any rate... adios. I'll send you the bill.
Michael: What a bunch of saps we are.
Joannie: Listen, Roslyn, I've been thinking.::Roslyn: After what I just heard, you were not thinking.::Joannie: Come on, come on. This is serious. This is our lives, not some dress rehearsal. I'm tired of being some slave. I spent my whole life watching my mother cook and clean, never leave the house, never leave the valley. She died looking a hundred. She was only 45. She started out just like us - love in Hollywood High. Next thing you know, there's no money, no love, nothing. She raised all of us. So what? She broke her ass like a Mexican maid, and maybe every two weeks, she'd scrape together a few pennies for a hair set and wash, reading her Hollywood magazines for her high on Hollywood boulevard next to the studios. Big deal.::Roslyn: You're having an affair, aren't you?::Joannie: We have to live before we die. We're kids playing mothers to kids... and that includes our so-called husbands.
Michael: [after seeing her sniff a line of cocaine] What kind of dinner is that?::Lorraine: Expensive.
[Michael is watching TV when the phone rings]::Michael: Hello?::Joey: I'm gonna take her clothes off real slow... till she's begging for it. And then I'm only going to give it to her... when she admits that you're a piece of shit -::[Michael hangs the phone up]
Joey: Women are dumb. Dumber than corn.
Lorraine: So, how's it going over in Burbank with you guys?::Michael: Well, it got real exciting one night - Sullivan had Presley on. It could be worse... I guess.::Lorraine: Well, Michael, hardly any of my friends - probably none -were married at 18 and had a kid at 19. That's got to be hard.::Michael: You live with those sick beatniks in Venice. Most of my friends who grew up with me are married. That's how we all became men.::Lorraine: We're not sick. We're just horny.::Michael: Well, maybe I'll come and visit you one day... if you promise me that you won't play that record.::Lorraine: You don't like Chet Baker?::Michael: I don't understand it. It has no beat. I mean, how do you dance to it?::Lorraine: Try listening to the feelings, Michael.
Joannie: [to Roslyn] No nooky again, huh?

Lonely: You hit Arthur?::David Callan: I hit him... and he died of it.
Hunter: What about Meres?::David Callan: I believe he is unconscious, though with Meres it is difficult to tell.
David Callan: [after beating Meres in a fistfight] Now will you SHUT UP! I! AM! TIRED!
Hunter: Did you rebuke Lonely?::David Callan: [depressed] Yes.::Hunter: Sufficiently?::David Callan: [angry] He thinks so!
Schneider: [after Callan deliberately spills the box of model soldiers in front of Schneider] I see another madman!

The Greek is a fictional character on the HBO drama The Wire, played by actor Bill Raymond. The Greek is the head of an international criminal organization involved in narcotics and human trafficking. The Greek is a mysterious figure involved in numerous criminal activities. His given name is never mentioned on the show, and though he is known only as "The Greek", he has stated (in the episode Port in a Storm) that he is not actually Greek. A quiet and unassuming man, the Greek prefers to keep a low profile, operating all of his business through his lieutenant Spiros "Vondas" Vondopoulos. His smuggling organization operated from a small diner in Baltimore for years, and while Vondas would conduct business the Greek would listen in quietly at the counter. Nick Sobotka, upon seeing the Greek identify himself, was amazed that the shadowy figure had been in plain sight the entire time.
Despite his calm appearance, the Greek is cunning and ruthless, and only interested in facts that make him more money. Series creator David Simon has said that The Greek is an embodiment of raw unencumbered capitalism. Anyone interfering in this process is eliminated immediately, and he prefers to leave victims headless and handless to hinder identification.
Antonio Rodolfo Quinn-Oaxaca (April 21, 1915 – June 3, 2001), more commonly known as Anthony Quinn, was a Mexican and American actor, as well as a painter and writer. He starred in numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including Zorba the Greek, Lawrence of Arabia, The Guns of Navarone, The Message, Guns for San Sebastian, Lion of the Desert and Federico Fellini's La Strada. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor twice; for Viva Zapata! in 1952 and Lust for Life in 1956.
Quinn was born Antonio Reyes in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, during the Mexican Revolution. His mother, Manuela "Nellie" Oaxaca, was of Aztec Indian ancestry. His father, Francisco Quinn, was also born in Mexico, to an Irish immigrant father from County Cork and a Mexican mother. Frank Quinn rode with Pancho Villa, then later moved to Los Angeles and became an assistant cameraman at a movie studio. In Quinn's autobiography The Original Sin: A Self-Portrait by Anthony Quinn he denied being the son of an "Irish adventurer" and attributed that tale to Hollywood publicists.
Sherlock Holmes ( /ˈʃɜrlɒk ˈhoʊmz/) is a fictional detective created by Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The fantastic London-based "consulting detective", Holmes is famous for his astute logical reasoning, his ability to adopt almost any disguise, and his use of forensic science skills to solve difficult cases.
Holmes, who first appeared in publication in 1887, was featured in four novels and 56 short stories. The first novel, A Study in Scarlet, appeared in Beeton's Christmas Annual in 1887 and the second, The Sign of the Four, in Lippincott's Monthly Magazine in 1890. The character grew tremendously in popularity with the first series of short stories in Strand Magazine, beginning with A Scandal in Bohemia in 1891; further series of short stories and two novels published in serial form appeared between then and 1927. The stories cover a period from around 1880 up to 1914.
All but four stories are narrated by Holmes's friend and biographer, Dr. John H. Watson; two are narrated by Holmes himself ("The Blanched Soldier" and "The Lion's Mane") and two others are written in the third person ("The Mazarin Stone" and "His Last Bow"). In two stories ("The Musgrave Ritual" and "The Gloria Scott"), Holmes tells Watson the main story from his memories, while Watson becomes the narrator of the frame story. The first and fourth novels, A Study in Scarlet and The Valley of Fear, each include a long interval of omniscient narration recounting events unknown to either Holmes or Watson.
Russell Edward Brand (born 4 June 1975) is an English comedian, actor, columnist, singer, author and radio/television presenter.
Brand achieved mainstream fame in the UK in 2004 for his role as host of Big Brother spin-off, Big Brother's Big Mouth. His first major film role was in the 2007 film St Trinian's. He became known to American audiences when he got a major role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall which led to a starring role in 2010's Get Him to the Greek. He has also been a voice actor for animated films such as 2010's Despicable Me and the 2011 film Hop. He starred in the 2011 remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore film Arthur.
Brand is noted for his eccentricity and his controversies in the British media, including his dismissal from MTV for dressing up as Osama bin Laden and controversies while presenting at various award ceremonies, as well as his former substance abuse. The 2008 prank telephone calls he made to Andrew Sachs while co-hosting The Russell Brand Show with Jonathan Ross led to his resignation from the BBC and major policy changes in that organisation. His prior drug use, alcoholism and promiscuity influenced his comedic material and public image. He married American pop singer Katy Perry in October 2010, and filed for divorce from her in December 2011; the divorce was finalised in 2012.
Joshua Winslow "Josh" Groban (born February 27, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and record producer. His first four solo albums have been certified multi-platinum, and in 2007, he was charted as the number-one best selling artist in the United States with over 21 million records in that country. To date, he has sold over 24 million albums worldwide, and is the top selling classical artist of the 2000s in the US, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Groban originally studied acting, but as his voice changed, it developed into a "significant instrument". Groban attended the Los Angeles High School for the Arts, a free public school where students received a conservatory-style education. His life changed when his vocal coach, Seth Riggs, submitted a tape of Josh singing "All I Ask of You", from The Phantom of the Opera, to Riggs' friend, producer, composer and arranger David Foster. Foster called him to stand in for an ailing Andrea Bocelli to rehearse a duet, "The Prayer," with Celine Dion at the rehearsal for the Grammy Awards in 1998.Rosie O'Donnell immediately invited him to appear on her talk show. Foster asked him to sing at the California Governor's Gray Davis' 1999 inauguration. He was cast on Ally McBeal by the show's creator, David E. Kelley, performing "You're Still You" for the 2001 season finale.
Say, have you seen the carioca?
It's not a foxtrot or a polka
It has a little bit of new rhythm
A blue rhtthm that sights
It has a meter that is tricky
A bit of wicked wacky-wicky
But when you dance it with a new love
There's a true love in her eyes
You dream of a new Carioca
It's theme is a kiss and a sight
You dream of a new carioca
When music and lights are gone and we're saying goodbye
Two heads together, they say are better than one
Two heads together, that's how the dance's begun
Two arms around you and lips that sigh
I'm yours anda you're mine
While the carioca carries you away
While we carica till the break of day
Now that you've done the carioca
You'll never care to do the polka
And then you'll realize the blue hula anda bamboola are
through
Tomorrow morning you"ll discover
You're just a carioca lover
And when you dance it with a new love
There'll be true love just for you
You'll dream of a new carioca
Its theme is a kiss and a sigh
You'll dream of a new carioca
When music and lights are gone and we're saying goodbye
When music lights are gone and we're saying goodbye
Check out the scheme of a dream thick fog all around me
Standing in a tunnel of blood hounds surround me
Shadow of a child my eyes visualize and figure
And as you walked backwards the shadow grew bigger
Temptation made me curios to follow it
All fear in my heart at that point I done swallowed it
State like trance as I reach out my hand
You wore an overcoat robe face was disclosed
Now was this a dream or reality
I was about to become one of Satan's fuckin' fatalities
In silence, I hear the wings of a black crow flappin'
The bird lands, then appears a man
Very sleek in physique, stood about six feet
Dispute was jet black, I had to step back
His demeanor wasn't pure, I knew this for sure
He had a diseased look that the world couldn't cure
I'm frozen, the fear returned to my body
Heart pumpin' so fast, I thought I was goin' into cardiac arrest
I wake up in a cold sweat, wifey sleepin' on my left sound asleep
I peep around the room then I make a sudden jest
A feather from a black crow was beside my pillow
Was it a sign from God to repute for the things that I did in my lifetime
Now my soul's on the line, I'm puzzled, spark up a Newport
Then I take a fall in hell, it's the cancer
Then I try and find an answer
My wisdom that I'm droppin' is, is somethin' like a doctor
And necessary like oxygen
I'm seein' who's my opposite and who's my aid in life
So let's attract and repel
Third rate government, they tryin' to seize the world
My wisdom that I'm droppin' is, is somethin' like a doctor
And necessary like oxygen
I'm seein' who's my opposite and who's my aid in life
So let's attract and repel
Third rate government, they tryin' to seize the world
Day like a rose, the wind is blowin' hard against the window
Pull up the blinds there sits the crow
I back up fast heart beatin' massive
Lost my breath, collapsin' fallin' on the mattress
I went into a state of unconciousness
Open my eyes up, I'm layin' on the dark street
Leaves blowin' in the breezes, Jesus
I on the street like a nightmare
I take flight, a bird through the air
While I'm wingin' it I see all sorts of chaos
Dead bodies, burned buildings turned over cars
Uh uh, seein' visions of an all out war
Territory factors, picture escape from New York
Gun fire, blomb flowin', nerve gas a-flowin'
Just imagine whole race of Harlem gaurds showin'
Realizin' I was havin' out-of-body experience
Return to my physical and wake up tense
Layin' in the hospital as I figured the riddle
G O D was throwin' at me paranormally
So givin' sight beyond sight about the world we know
Say, have you seen a Carioca?
It's not a foxtrot or a polka
It has a little bit of new rhythm, a blue rhythm that
sighs
It has a meter that is tricky
A bit of wicked wacky-wicky
But when you dance it with a new love, there's a true
love in her eye
You dream of a new Carioca
Its theme is a kiss and a sigh
You dream of a new Carioca
When music and lights are gone we say goodbye
Two heads together, they say are better than one
Two heads together, that's how the dance is begun
Two arms around you and lips, that's why I'm yours and

And you are mine

You'll never care to do the Polka
And then you'll realize the blue hula and bamboola are
through
Tomorrow morning you'll discover
You're just a Carioca lover
And when you dance it with each new love, there'll be
true love just for you
Now you'll dream of a new Carioca
Its theme is a kiss and a sigh
You'll dream of a new Carioca
When music and lights are gone and we're saying goodbye
