A demon is a supernatural, often malevolent being prevalent in various religions, occultisms, literature, and folklore. The original Greek word daimon does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the Koine δαιμόνιον (daimonion), and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root.
In Ancient Near Eastern religions as well as in the Abrahamic traditions, including ancient and medieval Christian demonology, a demon is considered an "unclean spirit" which may cause demonic possession, calling for an exorcism. In Western occultism and Renaissance magic, which grew out of an amalgamation of Greco-Roman magic, Jewish demonology, and Christian tradition, a demon is a spiritual entity that may be conjured and controlled.
The Ancient Greek word δαίμων daimōn denotes a "spirit" or "divine power", much like the Latin genius or numen. Daimōn most likely came from the Greek verb daiesthai ("to divide, distribute"). The Greek conception of a daimōns notably appears in the works of Plato, where it describes the divine inspiration of Socrates. To distinguish the classical Greek concept from its later Christian interpretation, the former is usually anglicized as either daemon or daimon rather than demon.

Barry's grandfather, 82, was attacked in his home in Waterford by burglars in 2009, later dying of his wounds. Barry and his father launched a high-profile campaign to stamp out abuse against the elderly in their homes, said the government was “insulting” the elderly and said he would “bring the country to a halt” Pundits referred to the incident in discussions of laws about the actions people can legally take to defend themselves in their homes.

He is best known for his high-profile feats of endurance, and has made his name as a performer of street and close-up magic. He has set and broken several world records. When he was ten years old, his mother married John Bukalo and they moved to Little Falls, New Jersey, where he attended Passaic Valley Regional High School. He has a half-brother named Michael James Bukalo. When he was 17 years old, Blaine moved to Manhattan, New York.
In the California streets at night
You can feel the thunder rising
You can hear the screams of tires in the air
All the racers in their street machines
Gonna' push it to the limit
Let the engine fly, let the power take you there
I need the speed, to touch the sky, it's my religion
I burn the nitro in my veins
I only live so I can fly, it's my addiction
I'm dangerous, I'm not insane
If I live to see another day
I'll be racing for tomorrow
Acceleration keeps me riding on the edge
I can breathe beyond the dangerzone
Where my freedom likes to hide
Gonna' ride the wind 'til I reach the other side
I need the speed, to touch the sky, it's my religion
I burn the nitro in my veins
I only live so I can fly, it's my addiction
I'm dangerous, I'm not insane
I'm a speed demon
I feel the rush, I feel alive
I'm a speed demon
Adrenaline in overdrive
I'm a speed demon
I feel the rush, I feel alive
I'm a speed demon
I'll never drive your 55
All in all this world is what it is
We shall leave the way we came
Changed in years, lives and memories
All the pictures that make up our day
One small step
Is all we'll ever take
In this slipstream of mankind
All the things we'd have liked to do
Had we been much older then
Standing alone at the end
With the sun full in my eyes
Thinking of what we might see
Had we lived a lifetime from now
All in all this world is what it is
We shall leave the way we came
Changed in years, lives and memories
All the pictures that make up our day
Standing alone at the end
With the sun full in my eyes
Thinking of what we might see
Had we lived a lifetime from now
All in all this world is what it is
We shall leave the way we came
Changed in years, lives and memories
All the pictures that make up our day
One small step
Is all we'll ever take
In this slipstream of mankind
All the things we'd have liked to do
Living free running wild
Ain't nobody gonna hold us down now, no how
We don't let nuthin' stand in our way
So set 'em up for another round
Sleep through the day
And when the darkness
Hits the town
We're gonna have
One helluva night
What a helluva night
One helluva night
What a helluva night
We're caught in a crossfire
Lookin' for a clearing for
A touch down
We're hard ground
Don't know how the hell
We're gonna take the pace
You see we're livin' on an overload
Another lady, another station on the road
We're gonna have
One helluva night
What a helluva night
One helluva night
What a helluva night
Living free running wild
Ain't nobody gonna hold us down now, no how
We don't let nuthin' stand in our way
So set 'em up for another round
Sleep through the day
And when the darkness
Hits the town
We're gonna have
One helluva night
What a helluva night
One helluva night
What a helluva night
One helluva night
What a helluva night
One helluva night
There's a scream in the night
There's death on the wind
And a heartbeat that's pounding like rain
There's a flash in the sky
A cry of a hound
As if someone is wailing the dead
And the nightmare begins as the Devil rides out
From the heat thru the gates of Hell
And there's no escape from the curse of the damned
You better beware
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Better lock up your doors
And get off the streets
If you fear for the reaper of souls
For they say when he rides he never returns
Till he's paid back the debt that he owes
So beware of the night
As the darkness descends the terror's about to unfold
And pray that your life will be spared of the fate
You better beware
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
And the nightmare begins as the Devil rides out
From the heat thru the gates of Hell
And there's no escape from the curse of the damned
You better beware
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
I remember yesterday
The circus came to town
The gentle giant's toppen the bill
Supporting were the clowns
I remember Africa
Where millions all roamed free
And little kids drew pictures
Only innocence could see
Oh how we've grown since those
Crazy childhood days
All the mountains that were climbed
And the journeys that were made
Tell me did we change the world?
Will we still live in our ivory towers
While they're staring down the barrel of a gun
Will we still build all those ivory towers
And make believe that we did the things we should have done
Do you remember 68, a time of love and peace?
A generation born in hope
All those promises to keep
I saw you standing on the streets last night
You looked so all alone
Are you still searching for that peace of mind?
Will they find their way back home?
Oh how we've grown since those
Crazy childhood days
All the mountains that were climbed
And the journeys that were made
Tell me did we change the world?
Will we still live in our ivory towers
While they're staring down the barrel of a gun
Will we still build all those ivory towers
And make believe that we did the things we should have done
Were the tears we shared in vain?
There's a millionreasons to ask
What it's all about
Hear the echoes of the past ring out
There's another way
And though the times are changing now
The spirit of our youth still lives
In the heart of the few
Though the sings remind us of a fading memory
But there's no way back
Will we still live in our ivory towers
While they're staring down the barrel of a gun
Will we still build all those ivory towers
All around
So much change is taking place
Everywhere
We're moving in a different way
All around
You can feel the wind of change
It's out there
On the streets
It's beyond the wildest dreams
Can't imagine
Playing our part
Expressing the heart on our time
Playing for real
Expressing the way that we feel
Playing our part
Expressing the heart on our time
Playing for real
Expressing the way that we feel
Here we are
About to take the biggest step
The heat is on
Maybe we can make it yet
Reaching out
Trying to make the other side
What we're after
Face to face
Waiting for the moment when
We stand there
Playing our part
Expressing the heart on our time
Playing for real
Expressing the way that we feel
Playing our part
Expressing the heart on our time
Playing for real
Expressing the way that we feel
It's the only way there is
We have a chance to put things right
Gotta leave the darkest road
And head into the light
Playing our part
Expressing the heart on our time
Playing for real
Expressing the way that we feel
Playing our part
Expressing the heart on our time
Playing for real
Have we been here before
We all shine on. Shine on
I believe after life the spirit lives on
It's a journey without end
Whatever's precious to you now
Will it stand, stand the test of time?
And all those faces in the crowd
Seem so familiar to you now
And though I've never walked this street before
Somehow I feel, I feel I know it so well
Have we been here before?
We all shine on
Have we been here before?
We all shine on. Shine on
We move between two points in time
And question existence of if all
Is it fact or is it fantasy?
What lies in wait, waiting for us all
And when we leave, will we return again
Only to wear a new disguise?
And while this world, it keeps on turning
Will there be a place where both become one?
Have we been here before?
We all shine on
Have we been here before?
We all shine on
We exist beyond reason
No explanation for it all
We've been searching tor it everywhere
We've done it all before.
Have we been here before?
We all shine on
Have we been here before?
We all shine on
And all those faces in the crowd
Seem so familiar to me now
And though I've never walked this street before
Somehow I feel, I feel I know it so well
Have we been here before?
We all shine on
Have we been here before?
We all shine on and on
Have we been here before?
We all shine one
Have we been here before?
Another hand has turned
Across the face of time
Reaching out somewhere beyond
We're on the outside
Looking back at you
There's so much more to black and white
No more heroes they're left behind
Silent running
Turned full circle a high in the sky
Watching waiting
It's up to you to see it through
It's up to you to see it through
And if you're new, you'll see it through
And if you're new, you'll see it through
Free the memories, images are formed
Lightning switch across the lens
The line of forces travels in material waves
The spirit the crowded sometimes sense
One dimension, real world and the stage
Communication
Take advances as though men were more
Changing tempo
It's up to you to see it through
It's up to you to see it through
And if you're new, you'll see it through
And if you're new, you'll see it through
Together now we know we are
Togethet we are
Together what we speak we see
The sellout clothes they wear
Still fit the new line
Blood's thicker than water
So they say
It isn't what you know
But who you are
Where you've been
And what you've got
A first class ticket to the other side
That's what they all want
That's what they're all after
A first class ticket to the other side
That's what they all want
That's what they're all after
The school for boys taught
When to ride the waves
There's so much distance in between
The league of gentlemen
Still practice what they preach
And find contentment with their peers
No way you'll find them
On the wrong side of the street
Now the spell has been cast
The curse has left its mark
And we await the judgerment to be passed
While we look upon each other
The sinner and the saint
The final curtain falls upon our kind
It's too late to pray
For the victims left outside the gates of Hell
What fate awaits them now no-one can tell
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter from it
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
As we reach the final chapter
And turn another page
Do we see the writing on the wall?
Is it better to have witnessed this
Or never seen at all
What lies behind the shadow of the night?
You've seen the sign
You're forever on the run from your last rights
You live in fear of The Unexpected Guest
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter from it
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
Deliver us we don't want to go down there
Deliver us we don't want to go down there
Now the spell has been cast
The curse has left its mark
And we await the judgement to be passed
While we look upon each other
The sinner and the saint
The final curtain falls upon our kind.
It's too late to pray
For the victims left outside the gates of Hell
What fate awaits them now no-one can tell
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter from it
Deliver us from evil, gimme shelter
It's time to get together
Thank God the night has passed
Thru evil and thru good things
You know we all must pass
It's time to make decisions
To see a better day
A lesson from this nightmare
We won't be fools again
Looking back on history
See confusion
And on every page the same mistake
And where's the line
Between the darkness and the light?
So short on time to be waiting for a sign
When you're stretched out on that line
It's time to make decisions
To see a better day
A lesson from this nightmare
We won't be fools again
Do we look for new beginnings
In the future or the past?
The end was always there right from the start
So take your time
You ain't going anywhere
Don't be so blind
You'll never cheat your fate
Don't your blow that fuse too late
It's all a mystery
Though I know it to be true
It's still a mystery
And it still comes down to you
You see it's just a point of view
It's time to make decisions
To see a better day
A lesson from this nightmare
I'm coming home, now the waiting is all over
Can't find the words to tell you
How I feel for you tonight
A cold wind blows
But inside I feel a warm glow
I hold a pen in trembling hands
A stranger in a foreign land
Now I've found what I'm searching for
What we have means so much more
Tell them all that I'm coming home
Keep the candle burning brightly
Now I've found what I'm searching for
Every day oh I miss you more
Tell them all that I'm coming home
I'm coming home
To the mountains and the valleys
The cobbled streets
Where the boy became a man and learned to love
I hear your voice
Speaking softly in the morning
I see you lying next to me
Let the moment last forever more
Now I've found what I'm searching for
What we have means so much more
Tell them all that I'm coming home
Keep the candle burning brightly
Now I've found what I'm searching for
Every day oh I miss you more
Tell them all that I'm coming home
Oh, I know so much has changed
In our hearts I'm sure
What we've been through
Will make us strong again
Now I've found what I'm searching for
What we have means so much more
Tell them all that I'm coming home
Keep the candle burning brightly
Now I've found what I'm searching for
Every day oh I miss you more
Through the cold in the air
I breathe the fear you're feeling
Break free catch up with them now
Of course I was the best in my day
Built to survive
You know they're after us
Do you know how far we are?
Breakout
The dog are closing in
Soon we'll reach the breakers yard
Head for the underground
Leave all the creatures to play
No-one ever goes there anymore
The rats on holiday
We can stay for a short while here
You're on of the privileged few
When it's over make up your own mind
What you wanna do
Now we're breaking with the past
Living dangerously once more
We're going across the line
Breakout
You know they're after us
Do you know how far we are?
Breakout
The dog are closing in
Soon we'll reach the breakers yard
Don't look back
There's nothing but
Builders dreams in sinking sand
Don't make waves for someone else
It's not the time to make a stand
See the lights in the distance
Gleaming pillars of steal
It's time to take off the new disguise
There's nothing left to fear
They'll be hiding till the battle dies down
There's so much depending on you
We dare not make a mistake at this level
We all have to get through
Now we're breaking with the past
Living dangerously once more
We're going across the line
Breakout
You know they're after us
Do you know how far we are?
Breakout
The dog are closing in
Soon we'll reach the breakers yard
Don't look back
There's nothing but
Builders dreams in sinking sand
Don't make waves for someone else
Would you come and walk with me
Would you let me call you friend
We can stand out in the sunshine
Now the cold war's at an end
I can see behind the curtain
That you're really just like me
And comrade you just wanna live in peace
Well so do we
The ghosts of Lenin and of Kennedy were here
The world was waiting for a sign
And all around us, north and south and east and west
This was a new age for mankind
Now there's blue skies in Red Square
People dancin' everywhere
Now there's blue skies in Red Square
Children singin' everywhere
How I feel at home in Moscow
Just like London or New York
And at last we can communicate
Now we must learn to talk
I can see the flame of Glasnost
See it burning everywhere
And when your walls come tumbling down
We'll ossak in Times Square
The ghosts of Lenin and of Kennedy were here
The world was waiting for a sign
And all around us, north and south and east and west
This was a new age for mankind
Now there's blue skies in Red Square
People dancin' everywhere
Now there's blue skies in Red Square
Children singin' everywhere
Would you come and walk with me
Would you let me call you friend
We can stand out in the sunshine
Now the cold war's at an end
I can see behind the curtain
That you're really just like me
And comrade you just wanna live in peace
Well so do we
The ghosts of Lenin and of Kennedy were here
The world was waiting for a sign
And all around us, north and south and east and west
This was a new age for mankind
Now there's blue skies in Red Square

Beyond the Gates of Hell
Between death and life
There's a road few have travelled
A road few survive
Watch out! Beware!
Prepare to run with your life
Watch out! Out there!
For the fool who takes
A look in his eyes
Will be lost to the Master of Time
We're searching for souls
Everyone must be saved
Beyond the Gates of Hell
Between death and life
There's a road few have travelled
A road few survive
Hold on to the light!
There's no way of turning back now
It's not real what you see
It's just a state of your mind
That he holds
They're trying to work it through you
But the time's running out
There's nothing more you can do
Beyond the Gates of Hell
Between death and life
There's a road few have travelled
A road few survive
They're searching for souls
Everyone must be saved
But the time's running out
Begin the madness
Tear down the sign
Ideals and values
They use to keep us in line
Turn a blind eye to jobless millions
Queues of wreckage to be broken down
Leaders feed us their solutions
Mistakes the death cart clears away
Beware of the...
The plague
The plague
The plague
The plague
A pig for power
Misplacing trust
Science moves fact to fiction
Disturbing dust
All this in the name of progress
While our existence is sold downstream
Religion plays upon the ruin
While Manson throws away the key
Beware of the...
The plague
The plague
The plague
The plague
Don't look at me
I'm not the answer
Look to you
It's where it's at
Don't look at me
I'm not the saviour
It's up to you
To face yourself
What price the future
And Orwell's dream
All yours big brother
On twenty two inch screen
The tragedy we bleed human
Can't feed emotion to the zombie brain
And as the rat becomes exhausted
We stand to lose the game
Beware of the...
The plague
The plague

Headed out the jam
Loaded in the van
Back on the road again
Going out my mind
Tryin' to make It on time
Back on the road again
To tired to sleep
To stoned to eat
Don't think I'll make it tonight
Need another shot
Straight rock 'n' roll
I guess I'm feelin' alright
Just another band on the road
On the road
Just another band on the road
On the road
Another crazy gig
What a way to live
Back on the road again
Drinking with the boys
Making to much noise
Back on the road again
To tired to sleep
To stoned to eat
Don't think I'll make it tonight
Need another shot
Straight rock 'n' roll
And I'll be feelin' alright
Just another band on the road
on the road
(back on the road again)
Just another band on the road
On the road
Oh oh oh back on the road
Oh oh oh back on the road
Headed out the jam
Loaded in the van
Back on the road again
Going out my mind
Tryin' to make it on time
Back on the road again
To tired to sleep
To stoned to eat
Don't think I'll make it tonight
Need another shot
Straight rock 'n' roll
And I'll be feelin' alright
Just another band on the road
On the road
(back on the road again)
Just another band on the road
On the road
(back on the road again)
Just another band on the road
On the road
(on the road)
Just another band on the road
On the road
(back on the road again)
Just another band on the road
On the road
(on the road)
Just another band on the road
On the road
(back on the road again)
Just another band on the road

If I believed in all I've read
I'd be marching with them to the black lands
Of the living dead
Blackheath
Nothing goes on here
Blackheath
Nothing grows on here
Blackheath
Only children play
Standing out in wastes of time
Deals where made while you're away
Your part's in the answer
To it all
To it all
Run free you spaced out monkey
Run free you superman
A shining example to us all
Destination has no matter
Gravity can't take the weight
You wait in the slipstream
To be called
To be called
Run free you spaced out monkey
Run free you superman
He stares alone at the night
No emotion shown
A glimmer of light
Now and then
Communication is broken down
Contact is lost
Just a machine between him
And his maker
It's a strange institution they call life
A nowhere existence, but who's right?
They gave you a mountain to climb
But left you no will to survive
It hurts to see him now
The way he is
Just a shadow of a man
That I once knew
A restless spirit running wild
Hey you! Hey you always laughed
In the face of disaster
It's a strange institution, they call life
A nowhere existence, but who's right?
They gave you a mountain to climb
They left you no will to survive
There's just a machine between him

Don´t break the circle
Don´t break the circle
Concentrate!
I´m your contact link across the great divide
Many voices in my ear
Hold on I think there´s something coming through
From the other side. It´s for all those who believe
The chain is stronger if the lifeline is unbroken
So beware the presence of The Unexpected Guest
Don´t break the circle
Don´t break the circle
Unexplained
Many things we thought were lost may come to light
On a higher plain in the spirit world
Where only a few of us possess the second sight
Now the messenger awaits
The chain is stronger if the lifeline is unbroken
So beware the presence of The Unexpected Guest
Don´t break the circle
Don´t break the circle. The circle must keep going on and on
But wait
Is there one amongst us here who believes?
A stranger to the sign
Take care, for all the things you fear
May be revealed
Within the forces of the night
The chain is stronger if the lifeline is unbroken
So beware the presence of The Unexpected Guest
Don´t break the circle
Don´t break the circle
Don´t break the circle
Don´t break the circle
The circle must keep going on and on
Somewhere inside a raging storm
Is waiting to be free
The balance hangs on one slim thread
A twisted nerve could blow it
All around the heat is on
Confusion. Confusion
A finger hitches on a trigger
Another mark of the gun
It's a sign of a madman
Losing his control
It's a sign of a madman
Losing everything
An insane act where genius reigned
The traitor came to light
He swore you were the chosen one
Who'd come to take his place
Now it seems you're showing signs
Of stress. Distress
The sentence passed upon yourself
There's no way out of here
It's a sign of a madman
Losing his control
It's a sign of a madman
Losing everything
How does it feel to be alone in there
How does it feel to be alone in there
Nothing is real now you're alone in there
Nothing is real now you're alone in there
You're all alone in a crowded room
Surrounded by your fate
In the grip of all your plans
You didn't even know it
Now the shadows hide the one
Who lies in wait
Looking for a place in history
How many more like you?
It's a sign of a madman
Losing his control
It's a sign of a madman
Losing everything
It's a sign of a madman
Losing his control
It's a sign of a madman
Nowhere to run
No place left to hide
Nowhere to run
No place left to hide
I just can't believe it
What a waste
What the hell has gone on here
This devastated place
Thought this was buried with Dachau
But there's new blood on the tracks
Outside the city
They're shooting people out of fear
Nowhere to run
No place left to hide
Nowhere to run
No place left to hide
Broken lambs to the slaughter
Soiled red like the sea
In the land of the holy
The Devil runs free
No dignity in death now
As they litter the streets
What's for the living
They'll build you up to knock you down again
Shadows cast upon this land
A black cloth drapes a promised land
Shadows cast upon this land
Fever's in the city
Fever's in the city
The wind she cries
A bell is ringing
Stood outside
I could hear the sound
Keep away
Before we know
Before we will know
Fever's in the city
The fever's in the city
People dying in the city
A lonely sign
Red welcome
Somewhere our side
For just someone
How do we
Heaven forgive them
For they finally blew the wall
It's a visitation to us all
Fever's in the city
The fever's in the city
Take a seat we've got it made
You're move to precision
We're all sold out of human rights
It's made your decision
Keep belief in avoiding wars
Keep faith with Santa Claus
Feel free the first time in you life
Give yourself away
Blackheath nothing goes on here
Blackheath nothing grows on here
Blackheath only children play
On your admission the ride is free
Whatever takes your fancy
It's time to change your life support
We've got the future bottled
One chance to go away from it all
What a way to go
No more fear from crazy toys
We got the answer
Blackheath nothing goes on here
Blackheath nothing grows on here
Blackheath only children play
If I believe in all I read
I'd be marching with them to the black lands
Of the living dead
Blackheath nothing goes on here
Blackheath nothing grows on here
I can't come down
It's gone too far
Oh, I can't come down
It makes no sense
Just wasted words
Oh, I can't come down
I've tried to come to terms with it all
Has it really gone this far
Love suspended frozen in a jar
I never did belong
They're staring back at me from inside the cage
I'm staring back at me
The ape's coming of age
I can't come down
It's gone too far
Oh, I can't come down
It makes no sense
Just wasted words
Oh, I can't come down
Why offer stimulation to a lost cause
You drive the nails in, I can't take anymore
I'm the last one survivor I took you all
I'm the rare breed the cast off
Come on break the mould
I can't come down
It's gone too far
Oh, I can't come down
It makes no sense
Just wasted words
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Everywhere you're lookin'
But there's no place to hide
The strain on your face
You're on the downward side
The hands you crushed
On the way to the top
Smiling faces
As you face the drop
You're here at last
Won't you please come inside
What do you think about hell
The knife in your back
Only pays the debt
Now the vultures have gathered
For a pound of flesh
The countdown starts
Enjoy your last breath
You've been programmed
For the lingering death
Time to own up
It's the reader's reward
What do you think about hell
Dante's dream has come of age
And now we know
Did you think throughout your days
You'd get this low
The night marks new reality
And you can't wake
You had the chance to change the course
Now meet your fate
The hands you crushed
On the way to the top
Smiling faces
As you face the drop
You're here at last
Won't you please come inside
What do you think about hell
Dante's dream has come of age
And now you know
Did you think throughout your days
You'd get this low
Hell
Dante's dream has come of age
And now we know
Did you think throughout your days
You'd get this low
The night marks new reality
And you can't wake
You had the chance to change the course
Now meet your fate
Hell
Just to compete was once the prize
Now mega bucks are in their eyes
We light the torch then stand our ground
Money makes the world go round
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
What price your chariots of fire
Where's your spirit and burning desire?
My God is that what you earn?
Bionic Kid I gues I'm too old to learn
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Now in my day all men were men
And stereoids were something not invented then
With pride and honour true grit and sweat
You could put down your money and make your bet
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Wanna play with the big boys son?
I can manage your account
So go have some fun
Jump when I tell you
Win when I say
And we can have a hell of a big pay day
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
Commercial dynamite
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Everywhere they gathered on that day
Poppies worn with pride
And in a land torn apart by hate
People came to pray
It was a time of hope, a time of peace
A time for a change
But in a moment all was raised to the ground
Could it ever be the same?
Some mother's son or daughter lay in wait
And blew some mother's child away
And every dream we dream
We have to pay the price
In God's name what have we become?
On Remembrance Day
On Remembrance Day
Through the hell a father dug with his bare hands
Still standing firm in his belief
He asked forgiveness for the one who'd taken life
I'm sure I heard the heavens cry
And as the grey reality of violence leaves its scar
The pictures tell their stories more than words
A sense of survival might teach us all we know
But there's another way for voices to be heard
Some mother's son or daughter lay in wait
And blew some mother's child away
And every dream we dream
We have to pay the price
In God's name what have we become?
On Remembrance Day
On Remembrance Day
I pray they find a peace
In a great and proud land
Where their sons and daughters
Will walk hand in hand
And all the hearts will beat
To the sound of one drum
When the streets no more
Echo the gun
(Dave Hill-Mal Spooner)
(Intersong/Warner Chappel)
There's a scream in the night
There's death on the wind
And a heartbeat that's pounding like rain
There's a flash in the sky
A cry of a hound
As if someone is wailing the dead
And the nightmare begins as the Devil rides out
From the heat thru the gates of Hell
And there's no escape from the curse of the damned
You better beware
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Better lock up your doors
And get off the streets
If you fear for the reaper of souls
For they say when he rides he never returns
Till he's paid back the debt that he owes
So beware of the night
As the darkness descends the terror's about to unfold
And pray that your life will be spared of the fate
You better beware
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
And the nightmare begins as the Devil rides out
From the heat thru the gates of Hell
And there's no escape from the curse of the damned
You better beware
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't you know it's the night of the demon
When spirits run high
Don't close your eyes they'll never wake you
You're into the nightmare
Beware the dreaded sleep don't let it take you
For this is the nightmare
Your mind begins to drift away
You try to fight but now you know it's too late
The power's to great
Your losing control they've taken your soul
You're into the nightmare
This nightmare may take your life tonight
You're into the nightmare
This nightmare may take your life tonight
Spirits on the wall they're growing taller
You're into the nightmare
The madcap voice that moans for you to follow
Into the nightmare
Run for your life no place to go
The naked truth is now on show to us all
You've taken a fall
The phantoms of night your too weak to fight
You're into the nightmare
This nightmare may take your life tonight
You're into the nightmare
This nightmare may take your life tonight
Out of the dead of night they came into the nightmare
Out of the dead of night they came into the nightmare
Out of the dead of night they came into the nightmare
Out of the dead of night they came into the nightmare
Your mind begins to drift away
You try to fight but now you know it's too late
The power's to great
Your losing control they've taken your soul
You're into the nightmare
This nightmare may take your life tonight
You're into the nightmare
Like a river you keep flowing through me
Feel like I'm drowning
Drowning in your love
Just how long can I survive
With this weight so deep inside
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play lt the hard way
Like a gambler on a losing streak
Played my cards, but you're misdealing me
Guess I should have realised
As I Iooked in your eyes
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play lt the hard way
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
Need your lovin'
I can't let go
I'm a fighter guess
You always knew
I'll take all you can give and more
But you're sure worth living for
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play it the hard way
I'm a fool to play lt the hard way
(Dave Hill-Mal Spooner)
(Intersong/Warner Chappel)
(Instrumental)
In the beginning he gave us the word
But a voice in the wilderness
Can never be heard
So he called for a father of time
Called on the father of time
I guess you've all heard of me
I count the cost
I was there at Calvary
When he died on that cross
I'm the father of time
I'm your father of time
And the world needs me now
Like never before
And the world needs me now
Like never before
I make the predictions
I am your fate
But when you're running with progress
You hear me too late
I'm the father of time
Yes I'm your father of time
And the world needs me now
Like never before
And the world needs me now
Like never before
Now I see destruction
Flames burnin' high
No need for the word now
No father of time
I'm the father of time
Yes I'm your father of time
And the world needs me now
Like never before
And the world needs me now
Something is wrong inside your head
Who you think your foolin'
I don't believe a word that you said
Why'd you tell it to me
Liar your word is make believe
Liar you cheated and deceived
What ya doing oh what ya doing to me
I should have known right from the start
It was playin' with fire
You've given me hell, I've been through it all
Your a two bitten liar
Liar to you it's all the same
Liar to you it's just a game
What ya doing oh what ya doing to me
Your a liar, your a liar, your a liar
Something is wrong inside your head
Who you think your foolin'
I don't believe a word that you said
Why'd you tell it to me
Liar your word is make believe
Liar you cheated and deceived
What ya doing oh what ya doing to me
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Strike up the band
Break out the bar
Let'em know we're back in business this time
Don't be a fool
Can't you see I was kicked when I was down
Got nerves of steel
My memory's long and I've learned to be
The hunter not the hunted
I want the best that money can buy
Gotta have the sweet smell of success
So get out of here
This thing is starting to roll
If you wanna play tough
You might just get lost in the cold
I want it all I don't care
I want it all the lion's share
I want it all I don't care
I want it all the lion's share
Give me the lion's share
I'm sick and tired of playing second best
But now I don't look back anymore
I've served my time
I've paid my debt
And tonight I'm gonna ride out in the sunset
I've been around I know where it hurts
You see action speaks louder than words
Just start me up give me the power
And I feel just like a jet on the runway
So get out of here
This thing is starting to roll
If you wanna play tough
You might just get lost in the cold
I want it all I don't care
I want it all the lion's share
I want it all I don't care
I want it all the lion's share
Give me the lion's share
You can spend all your life beeing somebody's fool
Or sell your soul and go break every rule
You know there's no money in honesty
But I tell you son, you've gotta be what you'll be
Give me the lion's share
Give me the lion's share
Give me the lion's share
Give me the lion's share
Hey mr Big watch your cigar I'm gonna stick
My nose in your business
I've seen the light that shines in the dark
I've seen my destiny written in the stars
So stand your ground it's face to face
And prepare yourself for a showdown
The game is up the pack's at your heels
And there's nothing left for the loser
So get out of here
This thing is starting to roll
If you wanna play tough
You might just get lost in the cold
I want it all I don't care
I want it all the lion's share
I want it all I don't care
I want it all the lion's share
Give me the lion's share
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I love to walk these streets
The ghost of my own childhood
It's the place where I was born
All my memories are here
There's a heart that beats so strong
It keeps me safe and warmer
And no matter where I go
I know I'll always come back home
Out in the night I can hear the voices calling
Out in the dark i can hear it more and more
I gotta shoot for the city
It's the place where I belong
I gotta shoot for the city
I can't stay away too long
I gotta shoot for the city
I'll never be alone
There's so much love round here
I gotta shoot for the city
I'll never be alone
There's nothing that I fear
My father spent his life here
Digging for the future
A man of great respect
But he never had a chance
I left when I was young
To seek out fame and fortune
I had to know what life was like
Out on the other side
Out in the night I can hear the voices calling
Out in the dark i can hear it more and more
I gotta shoot for the city
It's the place where I belong
I gotta shoot for the city
I can't stay away too long
I gotta shoot for the city
I'll never be alone
There's so much love round here
I gotta shoot for the city
I'll never be alone
There's nothing that I fear
The school where I was taught
That life was but a journey
A retired army officer, reminising about the war
The park where Sunday afternoons would last forever
And down at Johnny's place
Where we danced the summertime blues
Out in the night I can hear the voices calling
Out in the dark i can hear it more and more
I gotta shoot for the city
It's the place where I belong
I gotta shoot for the city
I can't stay away too long
I gotta shoot for the city
I'll never be alone
There's so much love round here
I gotta shoot for the city
I'll never be alone
There's nothing that I fear

Wipe the tears from your eyes
It's time for leaving but not goodbye
You don't know what it's like
They went and took the best years of my life
And they broke all our hearts
But not our spirit while we were apart
Now it's their turn to pay
But they can't give back what they took away
Oh I've waited such a long time
That I can't believe it's true
That somebody finally realized
It wasn't me or you
I wanna stand on the streets tonight
Out of the shadows and into the light
I wanna stand on the streets tonight
Out of the shadows and into the light
Who do you think you are?
If you've got problems I'll show you my scars
So don't turn away, you better listen
I've something to say
There's a wrong and a right
And there's a law if you're black or you're white
So we all make mistakes
Like being born in the wrong time and place
Crossing weeks and months off on a wall
Counting hours in a day
Writing letters well into the night
There was no other way
I wanna stand on the streets tonight
Out of the shadows and into the light
I wanna stand on the streets tonight
Out of the shadows and into the light
I'll take it all, take what's mine
Cause all i ever got was time
Take it all, take what's mine
And maybe it will work out fine
Wipe the tears from your eyes
It's time for leaving but not goodbye
You don't know what it's like
They went and took the best years of my life
And they broke all our hearts
But not our spirit while we were apart
Now it's their turn to pay
But they can't give back what they took away
I wanna stand on the streets tonight
Out of the shadows and into the light
I wanna stand on the streets tonight
Out of the shadows and into the light
My hair's too long my pants are too tight
I hit the bottle everynight
They say I'm lazy good for nuthin' at all
But what I've got all make'em holler and ball
Big love, big love
Big love, big love
I take my chances I go all the way
Ignore the warnings don't hear what they say
There ain't a woman can tie me down
Got big love spread it around
Big love, big love
Big love, big love
Got me some big love
Nuthin' gonna come between us
Except big love
Nuthin' gonna come between us
Except big love
Some like 'em big
Some like 'em small
I like it best when they're givin' it all
Don't pull no punches don't hold back on me
I ain't expensive what I get's for free
Big love, big love
Big love, big love
Nuthin' gonna come between us
Except big love
Nuthin' gonna come between us
Except big love
Big love, big love
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I looked in the mirror
But someone else had taken my place
I pulled on my blue jeans
Then found out I was so out of shape
So I walked in the sunshine
And suddenly it started to rain
So I reached for the crossword
But couldn't find where I'd left my brain
It's just one of those days
When nothing turns out right
It's just one of those days
When nothing turns out right
I tried to hide in the darkness
When someone went and turned up the light
All I wanted was peace and quiet
The everybody started to fight
So I called for a taxi
But the man said I'd have to wait
Cause i thought it was tomorrow
When I found out it was yesterday
It's just one of those days
When nothing turns out right
It's just one of those days
When nothing turns out right
I turned on the T.V.
But all I got was the same old repeats
I asked for coke with my whisky
And the waiter brought it to me neat
I took a drive in the country
But couldn't find my way out of town
I booked a table for dinner
But then the restaurant went and closed down
It's just one of those days
When nothing turns out right
It's just one of those days
When nothing turns out right
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Last night I went to sleep
And dreamed the strangest dream
I was a prisoner in a land I'd never seen
The heat was so unbearable
The day was black as night
And I heard my children's children screaming
You left it all to us
The oceans and the skies
You let it all decay
Before your very eyes
The judge and jury they have sentenced you to life
But that's not long enough
Cause life has passed you by
No more hell on earth
You left us with your broken promises
No more hell on earth
There's no time to change it all
No more hell on earth
You left us with your broken promises
No more hell on earth
There's no time to change it all, to change it
Out in the distance
I could hear a lost soul's cry
Waiting for relief to come
Left alone out on the wire
I saw the face of God
In a cradle as a child
He held the cross within his hands
A sword was in his side
He came a second time
But still was crucified
You never did believe
The one called Jesus Christ
You called yourself a Christian
But what about your faith?
You built your temples of desire
Upon the sacred place
No more hell on earth
You left us with your broken promises
No more hell on earth
There's no time to change it all
No more hell on earth
You left us with your broken promises
No more hell on earth
There's no time to change it all, to change it
A shelter in an underground
Strange symbols on the wall
A rat infested sewer
Like some relic from the war
You left it all to us, you left it all to us
These are the corridors of power
Where forever you shall walk
I searched the wastelands till
I found someone I knew
Then I finally realized
The nightmare had come true
The place where I was standing
Was the place where I was born
And my name was on the roll of honour
To the fallen of the third world war
You left it all to us
The oceans and the skies
You let it all decay
Before your very eyes
The judge and jury they have sentenced you to life
But that's not long enough
Cause life has passed you by
No more hell on earth
You left us with your broken promises
No more hell on earth
There's no time to change it all
No more hell on earth
You left us with your broken promises
No more hell on earth
There's no time to change it all, to change it
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
There's a gang who live for violence
On the streets of East L.A.
Survival is to fight or kill
If anything gets in their way
There's a girls from a land of plenty
Who always wanted more
Now she's found her true vocation
Working for the lord
There's a mother in a vacuum
In fact she's now divorced
She's the spirit of the sixties
Still waiting for tha call
And the leaders of the new frontiers
Turn their thoughts toward the sky
No acid rain more greener fields
And micro genetic births
And the leaders of the new frontiers
Sail their shpis toward the stars
In search of new horizons
The answer to it all
There's a child who cries of hunger
In a town that's got no name
He doesn't know he's born yet
But he's learnt to live with pain
In a city just for dreamers
Where the sign says "Sex for sale"
You can live out all your fantasies
Behind the windows without shame
And still we think of east and west
And still we're black and white
And while the poor still hate the rich
I guess we're always gonna fight
And the leaders of the new frontiers
Turn their thoughts toward the sky
No acid rain more greener fields
And micro genetic births
And the leaders of the new frontiers
Sail their shpis toward the stars
In search of new horizons
The answer to it all
There's a dickhead blowing money
Cause he's never had to work
While the homeless live in boxes
Eating garbage out the dirt
There's a world that stand united
Where once the madman reigned
It's a lesson to us all
The threat of war is too insane
And half the planet's starving
And that's a fact of life
Have we got used to all those pictures
That we can't tell wrong from right?
And the leaders of the new frontiers
Turn their thoughts toward the sky
No acid rain more greener fields
And micro genetic births
And the leaders of the new frontiers
Sail their shpis toward the stars
In search of new horizons
The answer to it all
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I am the high climber
And I'm never gonna stop
Gotta keep pushing
Gonna make it to the top
I am the high climber
Got the bit between my teeth
You better watch out now
Gonna knock you off your feet
Don't stand in my way
I'm a rolling stone
A Sherman Tank
I really mean
And executive breed
High powered machine
And when I stalk the streets of Hollywood
I'll climb the stairway to the stars for sure
Cause I've got class and more
I am the high climber
And I'm never gonna stop
Gotta keep pushing
Gonna make it to the top
I am the high climber
Got the bit between my teeth
You better watch out now
Gonna knock you off your feet
I'm one big surprise
A real live wire
A megge dude
I spread it around
I'm the DJ's friend
Give points for plays
I'll buy a multi coloured rag mag
And let the critics all get rave reviews
For the bar room blues
I am the high climber
And I'm never gonna stop
Gotta keep pushing
Gonna make it to the top
I am the high climber
Got the bit between my teeth
You better watch out now
Gonna knock you off your

I feel the sun go down
As I watch you walk away
And I caught a breath of life
When you looked at me today
It's a feeling i don't know
What I miss well who can say?
But every road leads back to you
You got a hold on me
Can I turn and let you go?
Can I really give up now?
There's a force that drives me on
I gotta have your love
Gotta hold on to the dream
Yes it's only love
It's everything I ever need
When i think of love
I gotta hold on to the dream
Yes it feels like love
You're everything I ever need
I'm at this point in time
A crossroads in my life
So close and yet so far
Am I wrong or am I right?
Decisions are the hardest part
They're the things I never made
We always seem to work it out
We always found a way
Now I'm caught between two worlds
It's the one thing we can't share
You're asking me to make a choice
I gotta have your love
Gotta hold on to the dream
Yes it's only love
It's everything I ever need
When i think of love
I gotta hold on to the dream
Yes it feels like love
You're everything I ever need
They say you never missed
What you've never had
But when you've got it all
Sometimes it's sad
To think that we can't find
Another way to compromise
But now we can't pretend
Cause that's just another lie
I gotta have your love
Gotta hold on to the dream
Yes it's only love
It's everything I ever need
When i think of love
I gotta hold on to the dream
Yes it feels like love
You're everything I ever need
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
There's a convoy of eastern dinkies
Flies on the wall of death
Caught in a crazy time warp
Trubs, Mercedes what's next?
Stretched out to the distant horizon
Gypsies in search of a dream
Driven on through the snow and the cold wind
Hypnotized by the things that they'd seen
And the fire burns bright
So bright in their eyes
While the past it cuts deep
In all of our lives
And the face of a child
Tells its own special tale
As she looks for the west
Where her future unveils
There's an eastern sunset
At the border of life
And we've travelled so far
Like wings through the night
There's an eastern sunset
See the coming of age
It's a memory we'll keep
In a lifetime of change
There's an army of brothers and sisters
Forty years in the wilderness
Marching the road to freedom
As the darkness descends at the frontier
The crowd gather just for the feast
And we make our way to the footlights
As the sound of a thousand hearts beat
And the fire burns bright
So bright in their eyes
While the past it cuts deep
In all of our lives
And the face of a child
Tells its own special tale
As she looks for the west
Where her future unveils
There's an eastern sunset
At the border of life
And we've travelled so far
Like wings through the night
There's an eastern sunset
See the coming of age
It's a memory we'll keep
In a lifetime of change
Stop the show cvame the call from Mike
Won't somebody call the cops
Let the ambulance through
There's a life at stake
Not a minute to be lost
The wounded is taken away
He's winning his fight for life
The crowd settle down
To the gig once more
As the evening reaches a high
We leave the stage to the shouts for more
But what more does tonight have in store
It feels like we travelled half way
Round the world, but never left home at all
There's an eastern sunset
At the border of life
And we've travelled so far
Like wings through the night
There's an eastern sunset
See the coming of age
It's a memory we'll keep
In a lifetime of change
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Somewhere in the dark someone is waiting
A boy of seventeen his body breaking
It's a one way trip there's no turning back
Pusher on the street he's a hungry bloodhound
Assassin getting rich in the devil's playground
It's too high a price what a sacrifice
The men of evil hide behind their fortress walls
While the dealers worm their way inside the law
Barons of darkness we won't take no more
Barons of darkness we won't take no more
Show your face what expression lies behind your greed?
Show your face to the addicts killing for their need
Shiny limousines up-town operators
Billion dollar deals and million dollar babies
Selling paradise at any price
Shipment in the night, secret destinations
Army on the move there's a fortune waiting
At the end of the line, if they cut it fine
In a world of flashing lights and suicide
They go looking for their kicks on the murder mile
Barons of darkness we won't take no more
Barons of darkness we won't take no more
Show your face what expression lies behind your greed?
Show your face to the addicts killing for their need
Show your face what expression lies behind your greed?
Show your face to the addicts killing for their need
Your bloody rule of fear will one day be all over
Your bloody rule of fear is gone, gone, gone, gone
Starting in the face of revolution
Walking hand in hand with destitution
Columbia, oh Columbia
Riding on the back of a starving nation
Reaping the harvest of eternal damnation
Too high a price what a sacrifice
The men of evil hide behind their fortress walls
While the dealers worm their way inside the law
Barons of darkness we won't take no more
Barons of darkness we won't take no more
Show your face what expression lies behind your greed?
Show your face to the addicts killing for their need
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
(Instrumental)
Black and white
Expressing the heart of our time
Old and young
Expressing the heart of our time
You and me
We, have so much to learn
We speak as children do
Without fear of our lives
Love and hate
Expressing the heart of our time
Things we say
Expressing the heart of our time
You and me
We, have so much to learn
We speak as children do
Without fear of our lives
Black and white
Expressing the heart of our time
Old and young
Expressing the heart of our time
Love and hate
Expressing the heart of our time
Things we say
Caught us standing in the crossfire
Caught us standing in the crossfire
Don't make a move
The tension is rising
It's a suicide trip
No time for heroes
The runaway's a frightening sight
Staring through bloodshot eyes
Caught us standing in the crossfire
Caught us standing in the crossfire
We'd have been there by now
Breathing the free air
I'd waited so long
To walk in the sunshine
It's all someone else's fight
Who the hell's got the God given right?
Caught us standing in the crossfire
Held a gun against my head
Demanded some strange destination
Some poor souls been left for dead
So while you think of me
Remember this
If freedom's worth fighting for
Don't give in
Caught us standing in the crossfire
Held a gun against my head
Demanded some strange destination
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I'm going out to blow some bread
Soak up the sun, get out of dept
I'm gonna see the world
I'll buy up time and send out gifts
We'll live in style be stinking rich
And hit the Vegas trail
And it's a racing cert
You know this one can't lose
Let it all ride on the red
I only need two draws
And one each way
This is the big chance of your life
This is the moment that you've waited for
This is the big time of your day
This is the payoff you've been searching for
So come on down
Come on down
You can win your dreams
You've nothing left to lose
Come on down
Come on down
It's waiting here we'll help you what to choose
You can't stop now it's all too close
Just one more try
This time I'll win
It's written in the stars
He knows the price
She's seen the cards
My luck is in
So spin the wheel
There's fortune waiting here
My number's coming up
A gypsy told me so
I'm odds on favourite everytime
I take my soma like a good boy should
This is the big chance of your life
This is the moment that you've waited for
This is the big time of your day
This is the payoff you've been searching for
So come on down
Come on down
You can win your dreams
You've nothing left to lose
Come on down
Come on down
It's waiting here we'll help you what to choose
Come on down
We're giving it all away
Caravans, fancy cars, gold toilet seats
And trips to Mars
Holidays, exotic tours, camel rides and German whores
Stocks and shares and teddy bears
Tokens for every shape and size
Free beer for a year
A video, a television, a compact disc
A face lift, a night out with the stars
American Express, the Orient Express
The government expects
Hey come on down
We're giving it all away
Go play outside little one
Daddy will call
When our time has come
We're in the hands of the grown ups
We sow the seeds
And watch it grow
But unlike us
You'll never know
It was in the hands of the grown ups
You can sleep safely in your bed
While the knife it cuts deep
The blood it runs red
Did anyone hear who fired the first shot?
Who licked the first wound
Was the last one to drop?
It's just a game
If only they knew what we're doing
Who knows, we might have a chance
If only they'd hear what I'm saying
God knows, we might have a chance
To make a contribution
A standing Institution
I remember the dream
Who can see where we're going?
Maybe there's room for a change
Time slips like sand through my fingers
Sometime I feel so old
Is it worth the mind games?
Am I going insane?
Oh, come in from the cold
I wanna make it in my own time
For absent friends and faces
I wanna stay when the lights go up
The show it wasn't wasted
I wanna make it in my own time
For absent friends and faces
I wanna stay when the lights go up
In a sea of faces
Why am I always the loser?
God knows I'm not like the rest
You can survive on the surface
I wish I could too
Always walking the same road
Always carrying the same load
Come in from the cold
I wanna make it in my own time
For absent friends and faces
I wanna stay when the lights go up
The show it wasn't wasted
I wanna make it in my own time
For absent friends and faces
I wanna stay when the lights go up
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
There's a shadow in the dark
A Surgeon with a rusty knife
There's a tiger in a cage
And he's waiting to be free
Oh don't go out there
Someone's moving in the dark
Wait until the coast is clear
Before you step into the scene
You have to know what is for real
Oh don't go out there
Standing in the shadow on the opening night
Waiting for the curtain, can't you feel the bright light?
Standing in the shadow, now there so much more
Gotta face the music make it last a lifetime
There's a cast of thousands
An army waiting in the wings
A ghost out on the balcony
The master's holding centre stage
Oh don't go out there
Feel the pounding in your heart
The tension of a waiting game
But when the memory catches fire
Even whores have dreams
Oh don't go out there
Standing in the shadow on the opening night
Waiting for the curtain, can't you feel the bright light?
Standing in the shadow, now there so much more
Gotta face the music make it last a lifetime
And in the still night a small boy cries
Hands a tremble for his mother's arms
Now there's no-one there
This is the moment his time has come
And through the trap door
He makes his break his journey has begun
Standing in the shadow on the opening night
Waiting for the curtain, can't you feel the bright light?
Standing in the shadow, now there so much more
Gotta face the music make it last a lifetime
Standing in the shadow on the opening night
Waiting for the curtain, can't you feel the bright light?
Standing in the shadow, now there so much more
Gotta face the music make it last a lifetime
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
They stood together back in '86
Two old soldiers came in search of peace
They shared a vodka with their memories
Held hands and cried on Armistice
They were friend at last
It had taken seventy years
There was no more hate
Only hope behind their fears
Here we are living in the shadow
Guns can kill just like bows and arrows
If all the world laid down their arms tomorrow
Would there be peace?
No living in the shadow?
We can travel round the universe
But we can't live together side by side
Did we ever learn the lessons we were taught?
Still on bloodstained roads, we hear the thunder roar
Here we are living in the shadow
Guns can kill just like bows and arrows
If all the world laid down their arms tomorrow
Would there be peace?
No living in the shadow?
Stalingrad
Millions of ghosts are marching
Afghanistan
The marters march for glory
Vietnam
The GI's biggest nightmare
Lebanon
Religions bloody story
They still display their might in Red Square
Our missiles face towards the eastern block
I have a dream that all old soldiers
Spend their last days in a world of peace
They were friends at last
It has taken seventy years
There was no more hate
Only hope behind their fears
Here we are living in the shadow
Guns can kill just like bows and arrows
If all the world laid down their arms tomorrow
Would there be peace?
No living in the shadow?
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Through the morning mist I hear the jungle drum
Concrete hugs against the sky
Like a needle searching for the vein
It feels so cold
Wish I was high
Life on the wire
How I love to be up there
Life on the wire
How it leaves me running scared
No more waiting something had to give
And when it came a strange release
I never really knew if it was in my brain
Until the day I went too far
Life on the wire
How I love to be up there
Life on the wire
How it leaves me
I can't stand it one more night
Take this hell away
I can't stand it one more night
There's no other way
A stage door pass for friends
Amongst the garbage cans
Just old soldiers calling time
The smell of meths runs high
Across this stinking waste
Is it any place to die?
Life on the wire
How I love to be up there
Life on the wire
How it leaves me running scared
I can't stand it one more night
Take this hell away
I can't stand it one more night
There's no other way
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Battles rage on city streets
Two tribes face to face
Sunsets high on riots shields
It's a no-goers place
The lines holding fast run run for cover
The heat's so intense into the night
Somebody said this couldn't happen
Not in our time, it can't happen here
The Hurricane blows streets all on fire
The Empires now striking back
The Hurricane moves hearts of the land
The silence was too good to last
A tidal wave rides the crowd
Incensing the mob
A sea of blue rushes in
It's a cavalry charge
Eyes fueled with hate stare through the darkness
A cry stirs the pack sensing the kill
We stood together for Queen and for Country
Something went wrong
We're divided in fear
The Hurricane blows streets all on fire
The Empires now striking back
The Hurricane moves hearts of the land
The silence was too good to last
Bloodshot sky in the morning rain
The battlefield sleeps
Only kids come out to play
In confused disbelief
Word quickly spreads to a man from the government
Promising everything money can buy
But he can't understand cause he wasn't born here
It takes more than words the truth runs much deeper
The Hurricane blows streets all on fire
The Empires now striking back
The Hurricane moves hearts of the land
The silence was too good to last
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Hey you pretty boys and girls
D'ya really wanna make it?
I like the sexy ones
With the long blond curles
We'll supply the make-up
You don't need to know a thing about rock'n'roll
The record's already a hit
There's been a million sold
Straight out of Hollywood
Like all of our heroes
Straight out of Hollywood
We're going to the Rock Show
We're gonna take you all the way
Down Sunset Boulevard
We'll spare no extravagance
Straight out of Hollywood
Do you all wanna play some rock'n'roll?
Do you all wanna stand out in the light?
Who wants to drive a Cadillac?
Who wants to live in Beverly Hills?
Straight out of Hollywood
Like all of our heroes
Straight out of Hollywood
We're going to the Rock Show
We're gonna take you all the way
Down Sunset Boulevard
We'll spare no extravagance
Straight out of Hollywood
(Dave Hill-Steve Watts)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Churchill had a sign for it
Nelson lost an eye for it
Shakespeare wrote the words
We all salute you
The Beatles rocked the world with hits
Errol Flynn starred in it
Rolls Royce made the others sick
We're still making history
Oh we ruled the waves
Oh we ruled the waves
Drake he sank the Spanish ships
Her majesty reigns over it
Remember world cup sixty six
And dear Bobby Charlton
The Rockers and the Mods
Blackpool and its Tower
Morecamb and the wise
Sir Lawrence Olivier
Oh we ruled the waves
Oh we ruled the waves
All this is England's Glory
Lie back and think of all the things we've done
All this is England's Glory
No-one can take away our finest hour
Robin and his merry men
The hall of fame at No. 10
Guy Fawkes lit the Parliament
And went for the big one
Henry and his wives
Rupert is bear
Richard of the round
And Billy Smarts Circus
All this is England's Glory
Lie back and think of all the things we've done
All this is England's Glory
No-one can take away our finest hour
All the Hooray Henrys go to Oxford and Cambridge
While the working class build the motorways
The Royals choose their brides while they're out
Playing Polo but no-one gives a damn cause we like it that way
Maggie's kept the boys in place
Prince Charles grows a Monarch's face
Concorde roars and sets the pace, the reading of the Times
Tales of Sherlock Holmes, it's great to be British
Oh we ruled the waves
Oh we ruled the waves
All this is England's Glory
Lie back and think of all the things we've done
All this is England's Glory
No-one can take away our finest hour
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Sound the early warning
Now put on your mask
Get behind the heat shield
They got poison gas
Missile knows the time and place
War-head set to detonate
Attack - let's blow-out
Attack - we'll blow-out
All those moving pictures
All those deadly strikes
Man there's so much hi-tech
What's a few more lives
Let's go out and kick some ass
We got weapons of a different class
Attack - we'll blow-out
Attack - let's blow-out
It's all on fire
The flames get higher
It's all on fire
The flames get higher
War the game that we play
Anytime anyday
You can find us we're out there
On the front line
Fight our units the best
North, South, East and West
We're the meanest there's no one
That can touch us
Got your marching orders
Got your battle cry
This ain't no manoeuvres
Now it's man to man
This is what your trained to do
Now the rest is up to you
Attack let's blow-out
It's all on fire
The flames get higher
It's all on fire
The flames get higher
War the game that we play
Anytime anyday
You can find us we're out there
On the front line
Fight our units the best
North, South, East and West
We're the meanest there's no one
That can touch us
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I was looking for something just a sign
When I saw something moving in the sky
Seemed to start a reaction there was fire
Then the lightning it struck
And the flames got higher
I wanted to run
I wanted to hide
Something just seemed to take over my mind
I couldn't feel what was happening to me
Everything just getting out of control
When the light came on I saw
Visions of the future
In the night I thought I heard
Voices speaking to me
When the light came on I saw
Visions of the future
In the night I thought
Started seeing these pictures on the wall
It was the strangest of place, I'd never
Been before
Everything was so life like so real
In the temple o' knowledge
I felt no fear
A feeling of power ran through my veins
I was about to receive second sight
I couldn't explain why they gave it to me
Everything just getting out of control.
When the light came on I saw
Visions of the future
In the night I thought I heard
Voices speaking to me
When the light came on I saw
Visions of the future
In the night I thought
I wanted to run
I wanted to hide
Something just seemed to take over my mind
I couldn't feel what was happening to me
Everything just getting out of control
When the light came on I saw
Visions of the future
In the night I thought I heard
Voices speaking to me
When the light came on I saw
Visions of the future
In the night I thought I heard
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I never promised you
It would last forever
We took it one day at a time
But when I held you close
I felt your desire
I saw the love that's in your eyes
Sacred heart don't you bleed
We got time on our side
We just can't let love slip away
Your all that I want
Your all that I need
I just can't let you go away
I know that you've been hurt
Let's face this thing together
Running away only makes things worse
I've been down that road before
Too many broken hearted
There's no easy ride but we'll get there
Sacred heart don't you bleed
We got time on our hands
We just can't let love slip away
Your all that I want
Your all that I need
I just can't let you go
All that I want is you
And I won't let you down
All that I want is you
And I'm not fooling around
Sacred heart don't you bleed
We got time on our side
We just can't let love slip away
Your all that I want
Your all that I need
I just can't let you go away

Bring on the dancing girls
There's pink champagne on ice
He's so outrageous you gotta go
Just to see the show
Valentino had the looks
He also had the style
But this guys got everthing and more
Thats for sure
Play that song again, turn up the radio
Just sit back and watch I like the video
Just a victim of his time
A star that he wanted to be
A kinda magic so unique
His like again we'll never see
Just a victim of his time
A star that he wanted to be
A kinda magic so unique
His like again we'll never see
I love that rhapsody
It reminds me of a time
Bring back those memories to me
Like it used to be
The pleasure you gave to us
It just goes on and on
The music's so sweet like a vintage wine
Gets better all the time
Play that song again, turn up the radio
Just sit back and watch I like the video
Just a victim of his time
A star that he wanted to be
A kinda magic so unique
His like again we'll never see
Just a victim of his time
A star that he wanted to be
A kinda magic so unique
His like again we'll never see
See him there standing in the light
A showman to the world
Living out his royal reign in his own way
Strutting around in that style of his own
A prima donna to the crowds
A messenger from the gods
Sent to spread the word
Bring on the dancing girls
There's pink champagne on ice
He's so outrageous you gotta go
Just to see the show
Valentino had the looks
He also had the style
But this guys got everthing and more
Thats for sure
Play that song again, turn up the radio
Just sit back and watch I like the video

They were fighting for their civil rights
We were raising hell on motorbikes
Then someone shouted anarchy
We all got up to dance
We answered revolutions call
Drove the politicians up the wall
But I guess we knew that it would end
When we outgrew the cause
Everything has changed, nothing stays the same
The fashion thing was all the rage
With bristles studs and razor blades
Our parents thought that we were mad
We'd totally lost control
It was anti this and anti that
But still they fed us all that crap
About God the queen, the flag
It was still worth dying for
Everything has changed, nothing stays the same
Everything has changed, nothing stays the same
Now we stand for king and queen
And all of life's desires
Two kids, a wife, surburbia and an XR3 on hire
Now we sing God save the queen
With a lot more of tradition
We gladly stand and fall in line
And forget the things we'd written
The spirit I can still recall when I
Heard it in the record store
The songs that broke the barriers down
And gave us back our youth
Freedom was our battle cry
We swore we'd live or else we'd die
And change the world a little bit
While we still had the time
Everything has changed, nothing stays the same
Every generation comes of age
And settles for the same old ways
The rebel song is handed down to
New champions of the cause
But we always will remember when
Those magic days of us and them
Before we all grew up and moved away
Everything has changed, nothing stays the same
Now we stand for king and queen
And all of life's desires
Two kids, a wife, surburbia and an XR3 on hire
Now we sing God save the queen
With a lot more of tradition
We gladly stand and fall in line
And forget the things we'd written
Everything has changed, nothing stays the same
Now we stand for king and queen
And all of life's desires
Two kids, a wife, surburbia and an XR3 on hire
Now we sing God save the queen
With a lot more of tradition
We gladly stand and fall in line
And forget, forget

Standing in an empty room
Staring at the walls of gloom
Trying to fix my mind on some romantic place
Thinking of a different time
When music played and we drank wine
And freedom was a dream we shared together
If it's not black and it's not white
Won't you tell me what your looking for
If I'm not wrong and you're not right
Won't you tell me what your looking for.
I gave you all I had to give
Money to spend a place to live
But all you did was use me like a stepping stone
You only ever wanted me
To get you where you had to be
I took you in but then you went and let me down
If it's not black and it's not white
Won't you tell me what your looking for
If you're not wrong and I'm not right
Won't you tell me what your looking for.
You went the other way the bright
Lights held a fatal charm
You had to know what it's like
To ride out on the merry go round
You always loved the wealthy ways
Flashy cars and power craze
You'd sell your soul if it ment getting to the top
There's nothing that get's in your way
To vou life's just a game we play
We're all part of your outrageous master plan
If it's not black and it's not white
Won't you tell me what your looking for
If you're not wrong and I'm not right
Won't you tell me what your looking for.
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Freedom
And a chance for a better world
Freedom
Tonight
Freedom
And a chance for a better world
Freedom
Tonight
Everywhere you go there's someone
Trying to put you down
They'll rip you off for what you got
Even mug you for a pound
Violence like a cancer it's a prehistoric age
The more we have the more we want
In these 21st century days
There is no discipline or values anymore
Respect so long ago went out the door
The jungles full of animals with gold dust
In their eyes while the ghost of past
Generations shed a tear
Still there's something that's worth fighting for
Still there's something that's worth living for
Streets are full of psychopaths and weird
And savage beasts
The system looks the other way
While the maniacs run free
It seems we've lost all decency
Our spirit and our pride
Cause we're all in for ourselves
Who cares who lives or die
But if you try and make a stand
You won't get far
Cause they own the strong arm of the law
Money talks and money walks everybody's got a price
As long as someone out there's still prepared to pay
Still there's something that's worth fighting for
Still there's something that's worth living for
Freedom
And a chance for a better world
Freedom
Tonight
There is no discipline or values anymore
Respect so long ago went out the door
The jungles full of animals with gold dust
In their eyes while the ghost of past
Generations shed a tear
We try and bring our children up to learn
Whats right and wrong
We give them things we never had but
Still they come on strong
It seems the world 's a frightning place
If your growing up today
Cause no one listens anymore
To what you have to say
But if you try and make a stand
You won't get far
Cause they got the strong arm of the law
Money talks and money walks everybody's got a price
As long as someone out there's still prepared to pay
Still there's something that's worth fighting for
Still there's something that's worth living for
Freedom
And a chance for a better world
Freedom
Tonight
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
Searching for gold on another man's highway
Fixing the price of another day's pay
Stalking the streets like a hired assassin
Changing your side like the night turns to day
Do you ever care who's right or wrong
Are you just a hired hand who fights and feels no pain
Soldier of fortune dealer in life
Have you got no conscience were's your pride
Mercenary fighter out on the line
Your just a time bomb ticking inside
Leading the charge under cover of darkness
Blowing bridges in some South American state
Waiting for news of a new revolution
Catching a plane for some god forsaken place
Do you ever care who's right or wrong
Are you just a hired hand who fights and feels no pain
Soldier of fortune dealer in life
Have you got no conscience were's your pride
Mercenary fighter out on the line
Your just a time bomb ticking inside
Surviving the heat in a sweltering jungle
Freezing to death at the edge of the world
Squeezing your finger so tight on the trigger
With the keenest of eyes and the deadliest nerve
Do you ever care who's right or wrong
Do you ever care who's weak or strong
Do you ever care who's right or wrong
Are you just a hired hand who fights and feels no pain
Soldier of fortune dealer in life
Have you got no conscience were's your pride
Mercenary fighter out on the line
Your just a time bomb ticking inside
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
I don't want to talk to you
And tell you silly lies
But I've done things that'll turn your head
And make a grown man cry
I've danced down in the jungle to the
Pounding tribal beat
I was on the first manned space ship hiding
Underneath the seat
I washed my feet with royalty
Had a curry in Madras drank a 34 Dom Perignon
From a thousand year old glass
But you, made a fool out of me
You, (million dollar ride)
You made a fool out of me
You, (million dollar ride)
You only wanted money
You only wanted money
People call me genius had women kiss my feet
Seen the temple of Diana and I surfed on Bondi Beach
Played the Sydney opera house
Lit the flame for charriots of fire
I climbed the Himalayas cause you
Know there's nothing higher
Made love out in a penthouse
Underneath a New York sky
I gambled in Las Vegas
And man I bled them dry
But you, made a fool out of me
You, (million dollar ride)
You made a fool out of me
You, (million dollar ride)
You only wanted money
You only wanted money
I have searched for fortunes
Rode out on the glory trail
Been arrested in Vancouver
Let me out on bail
I played with Jimi Hendrix on the
Bill at the Isle Of White
I chauffeured for Madonna
World tour every night
I lived next door to Elvis in those
Very early days, before hound dog and blue swede shoes
We went our seperate ways
But you, made a fool out of me
You, (million dollar ride)
You made a fool out of me
You, (million dollar ride)
You only wanted money
You only wanted money
(Dave Hill-Steve Brookes)(Cloth Cap Songs)
This town it's got no soul,
She sleeps with one eye open
They don't like strangers here
So keep on passing through
And if you hear the sound of
Screaming after midnight be sure
You don't stray on the wrong side
Of the tracks, cause tonight there's
A party for those bad guys
Tonight all hell is breaking loose
In crazy town you won't like the things you see
Don't hang around here or you'll be hanging from some tree
In crazy town you won't like the things you see
Don't hang around here or you'll be hanging from some tree
This is the time of year we're cursed
By moonlight madness, and our obsessions
Lead to dancin' on the moor
We're trapped inside a web that's spun
Throughout creation, we act like
Animals awaiting for the kill
Cause tonight there's a party
For these bad guys
Tonight it's the creepy reaper's ball
In crazy town you won't like the things you see
Don't hang around here or you'll be hanging from some tree
In crazy town you won't like the things you see
Don't hang around here or you'll be hanging from some tree
We don't take prisoners here
We eat them all for breakfast
We like a hearty meal before we go to sleep
The rats can pick the bones while
We crawl back in our hell hole
And let the day decide what action
It will take
Cause tonight there's a party for
Those bad guys
Tonight all hell is breaking loose
In crazy town you won't like the things you see
Don't hang around here or you'll be hanging from some tree
In crazy town you won't like the things you see
Don't hang around here or you'll be hanging from some tree
Seeing things now
No one has seen
Am I so unique?
Will they know what I mean?
Standing on new ground
Standing on new ground
Changes were made
Outraced the light
Feeling no fear
Only wonder
In the eyes of it all
All nothing and this
We tore down the shadows
You didn't exist
Standing on new ground
Standing on new ground
Standing on new ground
Standing on new ground
you are my high
feel me love you
you are my high
feel me love you
you are my high
till me love you
you are my high
till me love you
you are my high
till me love you
you are my high
feel me love you
you are my high
till me love high
to be my high
high me
to be high me
love
love
love
love
love me
love me
love me
you you are my high
till m love you
Still they dig for gold
Fooled on city streets
With no regard for mine
We watch the same repeats
Repeat the same mistakes
And swore we'd get it right next time
Riding high in Wonderland
Another runner in the UK
See the crossing from Wonderland
Shipping it back to the USA
We gave all hope and house
Giro's to Khyber Pass
No one wants to live next door
Who runs the northern line?
Who rules the Union Jack?
Nothing's really cricket, watch the score
Riding high in Wonderland
Another runner in the UK
See the crossing from Wonderland
Shipping it back to the USA
After all we heard it all before
And still the wheels go round
And for all the changes that were made
British standard, where's the standard?
The Chinese take-away
On empire's striking back
Watch clockwork soldiers fall in line
Land of hope and glory
Ruled by class
Still the British way of life
Riding high in Wonderland
Another runner in the UK
See the crossing from Wonderland
We held it all
In our hands
Where a state of mind
Like a new born child
We're the colours of the rainbow
And all the love you gave
We've witnessed
To the lives you've saved
Oh the powers that be
Might recognise and really see
Breaking free the chains
Singing songs for life
Feeding hungry mouths
Walk in your own light
Doesn't matter who you are
The reasons why you gave
Brothers of the skin
Walk in your own light
You opened up so many eyes
You touched our hearts
Made free men cry
In a moment when we all knew
We've a chance to give
Something for someone to live
It's our right to speak
To share our table
Where the world can eat
Breaking free the chains
Singing songs for life
Feeding hungry mouths
Walk in your own light
Doesn't matter who you are
The reasons why you gave
Brothers of the skin
Victim of fortune
Servant of fate
The force that surrounds you
There's no escape
We can't control the will of destiny
Or the course of the stars
Still we journey for the secret of life
To find who we are meant to be
Is this meant to be?
In the end our beginnings we'll see
Victim of fortune
Servant of fate
The force that surrounds you
There's no escape
Too many things can't be explained
How they came to be
With all your cards and crystal prophecies
Can we really see a way
A solution for us all?
Or are we lost forever, always to fall?
Victim of fortune
Servant of fate
The force that surrounds you
There's no escape
There's a gap in the curtain
Through which some people might see
Of that I am certain
The power of predictions
Through visions we're able to see
Meant to be
Is this meant to be?
In the end our beginnings we'll see
Victim of fortune
Servant of fate
The force that surrounds you
There's no escape
Heading in the new direction
Old bulldogs had its day
Steel wheels moving in slow motion
Think it's time to take our place
Let's rattle the cage
Work the machine
Let'em know who you are
Shine to be seen
Crushed the cold hands of tradition
Who cares where you come from?
We're receivers of progression
Not signals out of phase
The mood on the street
Can't hold the line
To where will it lead?
Move on the tide
We are touching the whole human race
We are touching now
We are touching a time and a place
We are touching now
Touching, touching
Touching, touching
As we race to meet the future
A generation after face
Knowing nothing's really certain
Only the chance we gotta take
Don't need the disguise
To hide the mistakes
Rather run 'gainst the odds
Than sail on the waste
From the start of the gun
To the crossing of tape
In the eyes of the world
There's no escape
We are touching the whole human race
We are touching now
We are touching a time and a place
Total Possession. I think he's possessed
Total Possession.
Don't say a word, best left to himself now
This needs a man of the cloth
Heard him speaking in tongues not of this world
Can't bear to look at him now
It seems a change came overnight
One moment a man, in madness and rage
Became Total Possession
Total Possession. I think he's possessed
A fire in his eyes tell you
He's not like the rest
Total possession. He's out on his own
A crazed look of an insane man.
A twisted face, a tormented victim
Someone's moving upstairs
A life leaks away under the shadows
There's no hope for him now
A tortured soul lies bleeding
Oh Father in Heaven where are you now?
It's Total Possession
Total Possession. I think he's possessed
A fire in his eyes tell you
He's not like the rest
Total possession. He's out on his own
A crazed look of an insane man.
In his own world
It seems a change came overnight
One moment a man, in madness and rage
Became Total Possession
Total Possession. I think he's possessed
A fire in his eyes tell you
He's not like the rest
Total Possession. He's out on his own
A crazed look of an insane man.
Just a pair of dreamers
You and me against the world
Writing all those magic lines
No one ever heard
Riding all the storms together
Reaching out to see
Dreaming of a new tomorrow
Didn't we
Two kids from the back street
We were searching for the rainbow's end
Riding on the wheels of fortune
You and me my friend
Taking all the highs and lows
With a spirit that could tear down walls
We learned to run
To be free
We gave it all
Oh, now the race is run
Gotta to take it on for you
See the journey through
Tonight, out there I hear the call
I know that my time has come
We sail against the odds
And all the world will know
Feel the warmth of the sun that shines in my face
Take away the mask
The time has come
Painting all life's pictures
Well you know at least we tried
And though the years have left their mark
We're still the same inside
Forever in those empty rooms
Still the dream lives on
And someone else will sing our song
When we're gone
I guess we never sold out
So we were never really in
I wouldn't change the way it was
Or the places I have been
Just to have the chance to say
All the things I never said before
We learned to grow
To be free
We did it all
Oh, you took me by surprise
Gotta take it on for you
See the journey through
Tonight, out there I hear the call
I know that my time has come
We sail against the odds
And all the world will know
Feel the warmth of the sun that shines in my face
Take away the mask
Life's no more exciting after twenty one
Than Billy Graham or Mary Millington with no drawers on
Piss artists who feel they're owed one after time
Rise up from the slaughter house into the mime
The prostitute and the businessman in compromising poses
Dirty linen done in bed
A sell out between the sheets
All the King's horses and President's men
Couldn't put Dick back together again
The writings on the wall
The writings on the wall
Dr. Frankenstein getting government grants
While Mrs. T nurses another right wing transplant
Society's rag mag throwin' desperate fits
Offering you comfort on page three showing the naughty bits
The guardian of the times
Sees no reflection in the mirror
Life's become a comic strip
A prime time for master spies
All the King's horses and President's men
Couldn't put Dick back together again
The writings on the wall
The writings on the wall
The Beeb's gone underground for posterity
Taking readers of the Radio Times
The Bible and those with false teeth
A sick society dropping national health
Stirred up by gay boys protected by their wealth
Now the bear lies wounded
Another chip off the block
Skid marks on the collar
Lipstick on their seats
All the King's horses and President's men
Couldn't put Dick back together again
The writings on the wall
The writings on the wall
All the King's horses and President's men
Couldn't put Dick back together again
The writings on the wall
Take your place in the circle
Watch the mystery unwind
One cup of your lifeblood
Two parts of your mind
Thirteen faceless disciples
ln a room froze with fear
Summoned there by the master
Then he appears
Under the spell
The mark of the Beast is upon you now
Under the spell
The mark of the Beast. You must serve him well.
Under the spell
Dances at midnight
Naked but for the mask
Feasting Heaven's destruction
The spell has been cast
The power is total
Eclipse of the Son
Evil forces are strongest
His will to be done
Under the spell
The mark of the Beast is upon you now
Under the spell
The mark of the Beast. You must serve him well.
Under the spell
We all bear witness
To the ritual of life
While some choose to follow
The shadows of night
Forever banished in darkness
For those who've taken the vow
These things are of your own doing
You'll pay for it now
Under the spell
The mark of the Beast is upon you now
Under the spell
The mark of the Beast. You must serve him well.
So much more for us to say
So much more for us
So much more for us to see
So much more for us
From the ship on the water
To new shifts in space
The true potential
Was staring us in the face
Froze to perfection
All senses preserved
Await the grand opening
As you waver the nerve
Behind it all there's so much more
Behind it all there's so much more
Behind it all we see so much more
It was there all the time
just couldn't make the shape
The room for expansion
Play through the gate
You were so nearly right
You were too damn close
You could have walked on the water
You never settled for less like most
We took the stage further in the extreme
For the featured awakening
A stand in between
Behind it all there's so much more
Behind it all there's so much more
Born out of chaos, grew through the dust
The force of emotion, really screwed us up
Left at loose ends, return to the screen
Pushed back the limits, caught sight of the dream
Behind it all there's so much more
Behind it all there's so much more
There's a kid down in the underground
Waging psychedelic war
While a call girl checks a guy's credit card
On a midnight crawl
There's a boy with a laser eye
Shooting the neon sky
It's an electric age
The terraces dance to the tune of the camera
It's a hooligan's faze
Here we come the life brigade
Watch out for the life brigade
The race is on for Africa
Can we save the poor?
The preachers buy up network time
It's all in God's cause
The world sang a song for Nelson Mandela
What a birthday show
The faces were smiling on acid house music
What a way to go
Here we come the life brigade
Watch out for the life brigade
Do you know just what you're looking for?
When the wind blows in an age of change
The closeness that we once knew and held so dear
Seems so distant now in a cold world of greed
Hitler's in the Sunday Sport
An alien from World War Three
Ronnie Reagan's out to graze
It's the cowboy's final scene
The wrappers are wrappin'
Plastic is flashin'
Another rent boy's caused a stink
It's a ghetto blaster
Not a major disaster
It's just the way a generation thinks
Here we come the life brigade
Take a last shot at the sunrise
See the wheel of fire turn round
There's a thirst that burns within you
A need for something strong
Taking you on your wildest dreams
Leave it all behind
Escaping once more to that twilight time
For the hour has come
No place to run
I'll be there when you crash down
It's all the work of the devil
Now you will serve him well
All your lies and false excuses
You've got it off so well
Can you feel your blood run colder
As your senses start to rise
The D.T.'s taking over you
Joker dances in your eyes
The feeling that you're feeling now
Leaves you with no choice
To take life from the bottle
The Grand Illusion
Your one-man show
Is going down real well
It's all the work of the devil
Now you will serve him well
All the lies and false excuses
You've got it off so well
It's all the work of the devil
To stand another round
When the morning hits you
Like a thief you'll run to ground
Take a last shot at the sunrise
See the wheel of fire turn round
There's a thirst that burns within you
A need for something strong
Taking you on your wildest dreams
Leave it all behind
Escaping once more to that twilight time
For the hour has come
No place to run
I'll be there when you crash down
It's all the work of the devil
Now he will serve you well
All the lies and false excuses
You've got if off so well
It's all the work of the devil
To stand another round
When the morning hits you
Don't run something's happening on the streets tonight
The fight it's not over but we've seen the light
The roar of the jungle
The gleam of a switchblade
Victims in the night
We hold the balance
The key to the city
The scales of wrong and right
We made our name on the streets of America
Standing for liberty
Angels of destiny
This time we're taking the world by storm
It's time the battle's won
This time we're taking the world by storm
It's time the battle's won
In the heat a shot rings out the heardt beats wild
In the dark there's a cry for help on the downtown side
We served out time in the badlands of Paradise
The strip joints and the bars
It's tough on the beat but we're here to protect you
The people's National Guard
We made our name on the streets of America
Standing for liberty
Angels of destiny
One day we'll take our place in the hall of fame
And like the West we'll leave our mark
When we rule the plain
The roar of the jungle
The gleam of a switchblade
Victims in the night
We hold the balance
The key to the city
The scales of wrong and right
We made our name on the streets of America
Standing for liberty
Angels of destiny
This time we're taking the world by storm
It's time the battle's won
This time we're taking the world by storm
Everywhere they gathered on that day
Poppies worn with pride
And in a land torn apart by hate
People came to pray
It was a time of hope, a time of peace
A time for change
But in a moment all was raised to the ground
Could it ever be the same
Some Mothers son or daughter lay in wait
And blew some mothers child away
And every dream we dream
We have to pay the price
In Gods name what have we become
On rememberance day
Through the hell a father dug with bare hands
Still standing firm in his belief
He asked forgiveness for one's who taken life
I'm sure I heard the heavens cry
And as the grey reality of violence leaves its scar
The pictures tell their story more than words
A sense of survival might teach us all we know
But there's another way for voices to be heard
Some mothers son or daughter lay in wait
And blew some mothers child away
And every dream we dream we have to pay the price
In God's name what have we become
On remembrance day
On remembrance day
Outro:
I pray they find a peace
In a great and proud land
Where their sons and daughters
Will walk hand in hand
And all hearts will beat
To the sound of one drum
When the streets no more
Echo the gun
On remembrance day...
Slip through the net
You're on your own
Crossing the water
With all the blue lights on
It's what you say
And what you do
Make for the change in the end
Sensing the warm glow
Got the picture now
Watching a star go out in the black hole
It's what you say
And what you do
Make for the change in the end
Proxima Centauri
Proxima Centauri
Waiting for the answer too long
Constant reminder too long
It's what you say
And what you do
Make for the change in the end
Approaching the centre
Got to think again
Scratching the surface
No beginning to end
It's what you say
And what you do
Make for the change in the end
Proxima Centauri
Proxima Centauri

Demon, come live in me
possession, fill me with disease
temptation, a fire set aflame
feral instincts help me go insane
Shameless, searching endlessly
to appease the burning urge in me
hunger of a thousand wolverines
satisfaction by any means
Demon, replace all I've been taught
impulse, erase all second thought
gambling in this carnal game
nothing is all where everything's the same
Trembling in the balance
exploring new extremes
all sweet forms of self-destruction
coming to me in my dreams
Thoughts of cruelty and pain
in my brain - in my blood
lose control of lust and anger
Pull the blood upon your face
Grip dementia
I am now enslaved through hate
Suffer my fate decide
Decide
Shot in their blackened tombs
Death burning my eyes
Invert birth great fiery womb
Time to ever die
Feeling death consuming
Deaths head all around me
Feel death round
Feel death bound
Demons scream and pull me in
Look behold the flesh
Kingdom built of rotting skin
Enter gates of hell
Feel life die
Oooh oh oh oh
Oh oh
Oooooh oh oh oh
[Verse 1:]
Now I'm reminded of the summer
When I thought I knew ya
A fool believin everything you told me
And even maybe last winter when I thought your heart was in it
And you said you'd do whatever for me
I was lured into lies
Got lost in your eyes
Let you violate my trust time n time again
And when you cried about your life
I would sympathize
Welcome you with open arms my friends they call me foolish
[Hook:]
(Oh oh oh oh)
Too many times I put myself on the line tryin to protect you
(Oh oh oh oh)
Similar to a drug it took me too many doses 'fore the poison hit me
(Oh oh oh oh)
Now I'm left here feelin like I been struck by lightning this is frightening
Cause all my friends warned me and ain't believe them now I want you to know
[Chorus:]
Although you may be grown it's evident you haven't been raised/
Comin from a broken home and with little friends that you claim are fake/ I hadta learn that I could not believe the things you say/
But you gone learn the hard way baby/
You cannot break the arms that hold you daily-
[Verse 2:]
You claim to came from the hood
Often misunderstood
Abused neglected and looked down upon
And all I did was treat you good when no one else could
Bare to even look at you
Broke relations with ya friends
Manipulated them with no attempts to make ammends
That shoulda warned me
If I woulda listened to my mother or maybe all the others
That tried to warn me that you was schemin-
Cause all my friends warned me and ain't believe them now I want you to know ohhhhhhhhhhh
[Chorus:]
Although you may be grown it's evident you haven't been raised/
Comin from a broken home and with little friends that you claim are fake/ I hadta learn that I could not believe the things you say/
But you gone learn the hard way baby/
You cannot break the arms that hold you daily- oh
[Bridge:]
(I wish you well-, you well you well)
And I don't hate you cause you made me better, girl the shit's made me better. And I promise I can get through anything
(Wish you well-, you well you well)
No matter the weather baby Look what you did
(I wish you well-, you well you well)
Girl I loved you, you coulda had my kids. You thought you would be the one.But girl I thought you was wrong when you did what you did, you thought you was clever but girl, ys shit coulda been better baby No
(Wish you well-, you well you well)
And I want you to know that I don't really hate ya no, no, no, no. see the truth is the truth
(Wish you well-, you well you well)
You know the truth is. baby, I wish we was till cool
(I wish you well-, you well you well)
Shh, do you hear that sound?
It's death's sound over my shoulder, I grow colder
Here it comes now flapping down
You gotta be ready or it'll take on over
Ravage my brain and destroy my soul
Leave my heart with a fuckin gaping hole
It's invading my body, I can't even breathe
The lungs are filling with the air of misery
I can't take this pressure anymore
I gotta get rid of this somehow
Free me from my endless burdens
Before I strike with endless murders
This is my demon
Driving me insane
Somebody kill me
I can't explain
The pain! The pain!!
Now all I see is the color red
My eyes slant evil and my grin begins to spread
This isn't me talking, it's insanity
Damage my senses, destroy my reality
I see a person, but it's really a corpse
I see a path leading back to the source
Of this distress, of this arresting urge
To purge the souls of the fuckin world
Evil strikes quick in my spinal cord
My life is gone, and here's your reward
Two bullets into your brain
But it wasn't me you see, it was fate!
This is my demon
Driving me insane
Somebody kill me
I can't explain
The pain! The pain!!
So now we come to the end
Of this dark dream and the portal of death
My demon is still trapped within me
And I can't find the means to free me
From this emergency, this hurt in me
The pain and the firey words my brain believes
Somebody please put me out of my misery
Before I strike again with the anarchy
And the chaos of mind erupting
Destroy humankind and bodily function
Show me somethin that I can choose to believe
Save me now, forever hold your peace
SAVE ME!!!
SAVE ME!!!
SAVE ME!!!
SAVE ME!!!
This is my demon
Driving me insane
Somebody kill me
I can't explain
The pain! The pain!!
This is my demon
Driving me insane
Somebody kill me
I can't explain
The pain! The pain!!
This is my demon
Driving me insane
Somebody kill me
I can't explain
The pain! The pain!!
Death is calling!
Death is calling!
Through darkened streets and blackened gloom
the candles dim in your bedroom
rain reflecting shadows in the night
the moon is full and through the mist
I hear your voice I feel your kiss
the line grows thin between what's wrong and right.
Burning flesh, pale as the stars
no one knows just who you are
drive the knife in deeper to my soul
velvet touch your mouth on mine
drunk on lust like drunk on wine
the world will end we'll hear the thunder roll.
Don't even say it
don't even look away
haunted by
haunted by
black winged angel come to me
release my soul from this misery.
In the candle light you'll see
just what all this means to me
I'm just letting you in
Mabye you know
Let me tell you something
It's painful to say
Which way to go
I don't know
Demon in me
Demon in me
I can't live without it
Every river must flow
Shine the light
I want you to stay
But I'm forcing you out
I can't express it
It's such a mess
Demon in me
Demon in me
Between you and me
Demon in me
Demon in me
I'm warning you up
'Cause you slide on my mind
Hammers on my heart
Show me which way to go
I don't know
It's livin' in me
The demon in me
Demon in me
I was on my way to heaven,
Then she brought me down with a smile.
The scent of her perfume (black leather),
One look I traded God for her eyes.
What do I do? ('cause I love her),
But she's a demon (she's a demon).
I'll trade it all (my soul),
'Cause she's a demon (she's a demon, demon, demon).
I said I had to let this go,
No sense in burning for eternity.
That's when she started grabbing me, pulling me,
Telling me she's all mine.
What do I do? ('cause I love her),
But she's a demon (she's a demon).
I'll trade it all (my soul),
'Cause she's a demon (she's a demon, demon, demon).
RAP:
I was trying to go and save my soul,
But loving you really takes it's toll.
You're the only single name I know,
We must be glued together 'cause I can't let go,
I tried to leave but I ain't getting away.
No wonder your eyes are red in every picture we take,
'Cause you're a demon why are you so evil to me?
But I love it so damn why didn't I see?
You're a master piece gone wrong, a wreck waiting to happen,
The grim ripper might as well go wait in the casket.
Not a human being but baby you're a spirit.
I'm a super hero but you're just a stronger super villain,
The best team in the league with you, I can't win.
Heartbeat won't die, my love's what we can see.
So let me throw again what I still believe,
Baby you're the finest demon that I've ever seen.
What do I do? ('cause I love her),
But she's a demon (she's a demon).
I'll trade it all (my soul),
'Cause she's a demon (she's a demon, demon, demon).
What do I do? ('cause I love her),
But she's a demon (she's a demon).
I'll trade it all (my soul),
And so I lay here, darkness and silence, with my head
spinning round and round.
Everyone's asleep and I'm the only one, who can't get
my head down.
Now I'm alert, I'm hearing voices, but my body is
paralysed.
I can't move a thing, I can't make a sound, but my eyes
are rolling up and down.
Wide awake, can't escape, arms tied down, some thing’s
around.
I can't take it, escape it, my body’s been tied down.
I can't shake it, I'll never make it, is a ghost here
right now?
I try to shake it off, I try to shout for help, but
it's all just useless.
I feel a presence, close by surrounding me, but I can't
escape it.
Hallucinations, they feel so real, my mind is wide
awake.
My breathing is slow, I don't wanna fall asleep, as I
might not wake up.
And so I lay here, it’s all over, my body again belongs
to me.
My breathing is fine, I'm feeling alright, I think it's
safe to fall asleep.
Some people say, it's an abduction, or a demon playing
his tricks.
I don't know, but it's gotta go, coz I need my sleep
Left us midway through
A cowardly way out
The alcoholic way
A loser there's no doubt
A weakling in disguise
He's 31 years old
Supported by his friends
He'll never leave his home
Guided by his peers
A follower at best
Success his only fear
He'll never lead the rest
His demon is his crutch
In life he has no clue
Consuming way to much
And acting like a fool
Left us midway through
A cowardly way out
The alcoholic way
A loser there's no doubt
A weakling in disguise
He's 31 years old
Supported by his friends
Take me, dance for me.
Think I'll put you with my demons,
Think I'll nail you to the floor,
I've been watching you for seasons,
I've been watching you too long.
Take me, dance for me.
It's broken, Ahah
See inside me what you have stolen.
Ah ah
If I stayed here any longer,
I'd be drowning in your arms,
I'd be wrapped around your fingers
I would die, die.
Take me, dance for me.
It's broken, See inside,
See inside me what you have stolen,
Ah ah,
It's broken,
See inside me what you have stolen,
Ah ah,
See inside me what you have stolen,
Ah, ah, it's broken
See inside
The demon in me will rise again
And I feel the power and I feel the pain
Under pressure gotta get away
Gotta break away I'm not here to stay
The demon in me has rose again
And I like the power and I like the pain
Stand the pressure gonna take away
Your right to live your right to stay
Keep the rules stay by Satan's laws
Reach from hell with powerful claws
Distorted view through bloodshot eyes
Oh baby, it's been so long since I felt your vibration
Oh so long, since you took me to that place
So long have I heard your ignition, I always kept that
feeling to this day yeah
I'm goin' to that city, oh sweet city, can't help lovin'
that hometown city
That little red house, the point of no return, it's
calling out to me
An inner demon I can't control.
An inner demon it's taken hold
I feel this evil as it's breaking loose.
Mind, body, spirit will be gone with time.
I grasp for air as he tightens the noose.
He's still with me, my partner in crime.
People say he's like a kind of saint.
People say he's like a kind of saviour.
But inside it has consumed my soul.
This is mine, my inner demon
I can feel it as it makes it's way through me.
I lose understanding, why do you look at me with your eyes?
Your eyes, so full of rage.
I see what's inside me, I see the person I can be.
People say he's like a kind of saint.
People say he's like a kind of saviour.
But inside it has consumed my soul.
This is mine, my inner demon
There's a man standing here before me, torn, twisted and tortured inside.
Something grips me sudden and sure, this vision I see of a broken man.
His face is swollen and tired like mine.
His eyes are slowly dying with time.
Is this really a vision I see?
Or a once proud man that used to be me.
My phone bill's running long these days
Rain keeps me inside
Keeping contact with old love for future pleasure aims
I've been eating healthy food all week
Hot water, makes herbal tea now
I deserve getting wasted
After all, it's friday night tonight
The demon
Running into my blood
Spreading inside my veins
Making me see things in different light
Thanks to the wine
I'm building up this new thing
Thanks to you
Put my cd's back in order, mess them up again
This is how I choose to spend another day of my life
I've been eating unhealthy food all week
Fat greasy fastfood meals
I deserve getting wasted
After all, it's friday night tonight
The demon
Running into my blood
Spreading inside my veins
Making me see things in different light
Thanks to the wine
I'm building up this new thing
Making up a new dream
So that I can put all things right into place
Tonight I'm breaking the rules you're making
Tonight I'm showing you are all mistaken
Tonight tonight tonight
completely silent, but deep in your heart,a vision of a
precious love,
isolation from your enemys and long forgotten
memories....again.....
chorus:
you beat until you hurt, but I can't feel the pain,
hit me into the dirt, but why can't we be friends,
I'm out of my control, I don't wanna sell your soul,
let's do it again...oh yeah
little demon please don't go away,
the angel comes some other day,
take the chance to turn the things allright,
When the beast comes over me
Understand no looking back
In the darkness you will see
Reach in front and take my hand
As we march out to the sea
Understand no looking back
No reflection wax eyes shut
Looking on its time for death
Certainty eternal sleep, see the life drain from my hand
No reflection wax eyes shut, life for me is coming to an
And your time is running slow
See the loved ones far below
Stare in to the dark and know
