Springfield Armory has issued a voluntary safety recall of their popular XD-s in both 9mm and .45 ACP. This recall was issued on August 28, 2013, to resolve two rare but potentially dangerous situations; the gun firing when loading a cartridge, or double-firing when the trigger is pulled once. Brief overview of the steps necessary for returning the gun to Springfield, including notification of the affected serial numbers. The XD-s .45 ACP that I purchased in early 2013 is on the list. Although I have not had any problems with the handgun, I'm going to follow the steps in the recall protocol and return for the repair "upgrade". I bought this double eagle / colt .45 p.169 airsoft pistol off amazon for a really cheap price.It is a really good and powerful gun but .12 gram bb's fly up after 25 feet or so so i recommend using .20 bb's instead.
