VFL On Film: 1946-1982 - Marking Time Volume 2 - A stunning presentation of archival footage detailing the rich history of Australian Rules Football. Compiled from rare newsreel footage by the National Film & Sound Archive, this documentary takes us back in time to witness football as it was in the mid to late 20th Century.
It chronicles the teams, players and public figures who shaped the development of football in Victoria, along with changing social trends, technological innovations and global events which impacted on the game.
This documentary is also about football supporters. Look at the faces in the crowd and recognise the same emotions we feel today - the wonder and exhilaration, the fury and heartbreak.
