She sucks, but in a good way.
[first lines]::Male Vampire: [after a few seconds of ominous growling behind a hooded girl] Dammit! Not a scream. Not even a whimper. I must be losing my touch.::Buffy: [turns around to face the vampire] You're about to lose more than your touch... like your face!
Willow: You know, you may be the slayer, the girl destined to fight off the forces of darkness and all, but... maybe you shouldn't slay out alone. You know, we're your friends and we're here to help you, Buffy.::Buffy: Thanks, Willow. I appreciate it.::Willow: And it's not like we can't handle it. Giles is your watcher, I'm a witch, and Xander's the... the...::Xander: the... Ron Weasley? Come on, no really, I bring a lot to the table besides comic relief. I bring donuts... and plus I play a key role in battle. I distract.::Buffy: And by distract, you mean scream and shriek? Seriously, you really shouldn't leap into the fray like that.::Willow: I think you said he should be fray-adjacent.::Buffy: Yes, fray-adjacent. And by adjacent I mean as fray away from the fight as possible.
Spike: In the meantime, let's get randy.::Harmony: Who's Randy? [laughs] I'm sorry. I just melt every time you do that accent. Austrian, right? G'day, mate. Let's throw another shrimp on the barbie. But, if Shrimp is with Barbie, then who's with Ken?::Spike: Oh bugger, you really are a stupid bint.

On New Year's Eve, the queen announces that she wants galanthus brought to her on New Year's Day; she will reward him or her who can bring her the flowers with a basketful of gold coins. The old woman and her daughter hear these news and send Anya during a terrible snowstorm into the woods to collect the flowers. In the woods, Anya meets the Spirits of the Twelve Months and in reward for her kindness and good nature, the Spirit of April proposes helping the girl by presenting her with one hour of spring during which she can pick the flowers and return home safely. When this is done, the Spirit of January makes the girl promise that she will never tell anyone about this encounter, and the Spirit of April gives her one more gift, a magic ring that will summon the spirits' help should she ever be in trouble. Upon returning home, Anya is thanked by the queen for bringing her the flowers, but the young queen, who is no more than another orphaned girl of Anya's age, insists on knowing where the flowers came from. Anya then struggles between keeping her promise to the spirits or holding on to her own life.

Wise Man: Well, it seems impossible but...::The queen: Yes or no?::Wise Man: I think they are, in my doubting opinion.
Wise Man: It's a trick and I won't be tricked, but I *have* been tricked.::Capt. Rustov: Wise Man, are you all right?::Wise Man: But I knew it had to be a trick so I really wasn't tricked. It's winter. It's got to be winter, and that's no trick.
Capt. Rustov: [making it over to her just after the rain starts] You said you were hot. Here's the water, Your Highness.::The Queen: Do you think I need water now that I'm soaking wet?
The Queen: Ah. There are snowflakes coming down.::Wise Man: Snow, again? Of course it's snowing; it's winter, exactly what it's supposed to do in winter. And it's really January.::[runs off]::The Queen: And he's supposed to be the Wise Man?::Wise Man: [walking onto the pond] Snow, and cold, and ice. That's the law of nature for winter. Oh, yes, and ice. And the lake is frozen solid. Smooth and solid. Perfect, per...::[slips and falls]::Wise Man: Help!::Capt. Rustov: The Foolish Man is what he should be called.

Must have been the right month
Must have been a good time
Must have counted every cloud in the sky that night
Every single glass of wine
Must have learned some home truths
Sitting in that cool grass
Must have counted every blade in that emerald field
Every shooting star that passed
Should have had a talk with God
Sitting in the great unknown
Watching all the lovers in the world get together
Sitting in Heaven all alone
And we were love's knot after summer
Tied together in the dead of winter
Wrapped up with spring fever in the air
Bound together in the autumn
Every month means a little something
But January is the month that cares
Must have kissed you 'till I hurt you
Must have been a wild night
Must have rolled in the ashes at the break of day
Rag dolls in the morning light
Must have found a secret place
Hiding in our own world
Must have counted every smile on your sweet, sweet lips
January January that's when I am blue
January January when the year is new
I found you in January then you proved untrue
That's why January makes me blue
That's why January makes me blue
[ guitar ]
Once we found an achorn and you planted it with me
We swore that we would love till it became a mighty tree
Our tree's now mighty tall but love is just a memory
Just a January memory just a January memory
[ guitar ]
January January promised me the sky
Blinded me and offered me the love that was a lie
Made me want to live forever made want to die
That's why January makes me cry
I know you told me this before
I know you told me this a million times
You say you don't know how you feel
You don't know if you even love me anymore
If she was a good kisser
Then I know how much I miss her
January came
By April you have stayed
June I was in heaven
July was just the same
September rolled around
October wore a frown
By Christmas we were through
I wish I didn't say I'm sorry
I wish you loved me still the same
I wish I wasn't such a wishy-washy prick
I wish I said just how I felt
If I was a good listener
Maybe you would still be here
January came
By April you have stayed
June I was in heaven
July was just the same
September rolled around
October wore a frown
By Christmas we were through
I still miss the way we touch
I miss the way you bite my tongue
I miss the way you run away
You run away
January February March April May
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me
January February March April May
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me
I know you told me this before
I know you told me this a million times (times) (times) (times)
You say you don't know how you feel (feel) (feel)
When will you know just how you feel?
January came
By April you have stayed
June I was in heaven
July was just the same
September rolled around
October wore a frown
By Christmas we were through
January February March April May
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me (I know you're leaving me)
January February March April May
June through December I wish you would stay
The cold that burns
The tide that drift away
No more talks about tomorrow
The past is gone and all that was today
I cant forget the cold
That fell January day
Seasons change for the rain he washed away
All the smiles and the tears
What's in between and all one's hopes and fears
I feel that January's cold shall never disappear
Empty sky the bitterness unfolds
Its hard to hold a memory
When there's nothing left to hold
Rain rain rain
The desert kills what's left inside
Its hard to live when all you wanna do is die
The book is done
No more pages left to turn
No more letters left to write
nothings left for whom it may concern
January's cold shall forever live on
You say al though your love for me is strong.
That a lover under seventeen is wrong.
Another night goes by
And I awake enveloped in your arms, yeah
You wont make up your mind.
Because my helplessness turns you on, yeah.
If you leave now baby dont come back,
if your leavin baby dont come back [x2]
[Chorus:]
January's just around the corner
I know that you'll be back by then
I'm counting down the days on my calender,
till lovin me wont be a sin
I thought that after all we've seen and done.
That your battle with morality was won
You've already crossed the line (Crossed the line)
You might as well just wait it out (Yeah)
I havent got the time (Havent got the time)
to be led in and then be shut out Oh no no
If you leave now baby dont come back,
if your leavin baby dont come back [x2]
[Chorus:]
January's just around the corner
I know that you'll be back by then
I'm counting down the days on my calender,
till lovin me wont be a sin
I dont want you to leave but I need you to know,
that I can only take so much of all your come and go
Just stick around and there'll be no more reason for concern,
because your baby will be legal when the season turns cause
[Chorus:]
January's just around the corner
I know that you'll be back by then
I'm counting down the days on my calender,
till lovin me wont be a sin [x2] oh ohh
Do you remember the time I said goodbye?
You looked at me like you might cry
yeah, we were both young fools
And we took our time with the January air
and you said that I really don't care
cause we are meant to be together
ohoh
Do you think that you are the only one
that sits alone in the January sun?
and said
just another lover
It's lost in line but I have a good time
and it hurts right now but I'll be fine
no you're not
no you're not
cause I'll follow that before
I think think you got it
I think you mighta saw it in me
I think think you got it
I think you mighta saw it in me
but you didn't wanna do that
no you say you didn't wanna go there no oh
I think think you got it
I think you mighta saw it in me
I think think you got it
I think you mighta saw it in me
but you didn't wanna do that
no you say you didn't wanna go there baby
January carried me away
January carry us away
to something better
something warmer
something higher
something brighter than
this.
January carried me away
January carried me away
January carry us away
to something better
something warmer
something higher
something brighter than
January to the one
January to the nine
I swear I've found my piece of mind
Can you let me tell you the rest of your life?
That you can be anything if you so please and you try
You just try
What can I say?
I try
Words will not suffice
To express the emotion that seems to just flood from your eyes
When January comes in the summer time
The marker one and nine
We'll celebrate your life
In January
When you woke up and you looked up for the first time
And I looked into your eyes
You changed my fucking life
First released: 1975
January
sick and tired you've been hanging on me
You make me sad with your eyes
you're telling me lies
Don't go
don't go
January
don't be cold
Don't be angry to me.
You make me sad
come and see.
Oh January
don't go
don't go.
Life gets me higher
[higher]
I can show
I can blow
I can wake up the world, the world.
Gotta know you
gotta show you.
like a fire
[higher]
Carry on
don't be gone
Bring me out of my home
sweet home
Gotta know me
gotta show me
You've been facing the world
You've been chasing the world.
January
sick and tired you've been hanging on me
You make me sad with your eyes
you're telling me lies
Don't go
don't go
January
don't be cold
Don't be angry to me.
You make me sad
come and see.
Oh January
don't go
don't go.
Time
it's a flyer
[flyer]
Sunny days
fly away
English summers are gone.
So long
gotta go up
gotta blow up.
like a fire
[higher]
Carry on
don't be gone
Bring me out of my home
sweet home
Gotta know me
gotta show me
You've been facing the world
You've been chasing the world.
January
sick and tired you've been hanging on me
You make me sad with your eyes
you're telling me lies
Don't go
don't go
January
don't be cold
Don't be angry to me.
You make me sad
come and see.
Oh January
don't go
Christmas is years away
and I can hardly wait
how on earth am I gonna last
until my holiday
Every hour drags it feet
and every grey sky
makes me sad for summer
January
I don't think I'll go out there today
December made me smile
no matter how it rained
the laughter came and went
but winter still remained
Jack Frost bit my fingers
the smell of bonfires always lingers
Every raincloud followed by another
the pages are thick in my calendar
I look around this dead place
then I drop my head
You say al though your love for me is strong.
That a lover under seventeen is wrong.
Another night goes by
And I awake enveloped in your arms, yeah
You wont make up your mind.
Because my helplessness turns you on, yeah.
If you leave now baby dont come back,

I'm counting down the days on my calender,
till lovin me wont be a sin
oh ohh
I cannot be all day long
So clever, so clear-headed so broken down
I've had enough of the fudging
But tomorrow again I won't face anything
I'm waiting for the dawn
Holding my breath as if I was gone
Kissing your neck as if you were here
I've no one to love only the new day to fear
Is it a new phase for me
I have not cried since January
It might be the sign
To switch and embrace the final decline
I've had such an empty life
And it's a great weight off my mind
To reach physical pain
The divine gift offered to an old man
Childhood is gone
Love never found
Life almost done
Through you, I slide the sounds of my creation. What is I? I offer to thee. All things are in a state of fluxuation, look within and fly, the self is the deceiver; you are the lie. In death I see liberty; corruption, perdition, I taste freedom! This life is not for me; the thinker in, finite properties! I see farther, past the liar! Stand I alone, the sacred fire! In death I see liberty. What is I? I offer to thee. Hail to the one what wisdom is thus, thus is wisdom one that hails dust! Sympathetic vibration - the gathering of my energy - to release the sensation; of all things flowing through me; angelic masturbation; I offer to thee. My seed is the creation; of the flowers of discovery! The act of salvation, of the universe I bend. In a trance of supplication, the heavens cry out my name again. Fuck, fuck me; fuck, fuck me!
He sees her sleeping on the grass
I think I heard a distant splash
In July she came to play
By January he learns to pray.
Your shoes at the door
Waves come crashing to the floor
He sees your swimsuit on the grass
(Verse)
And moving kills me
And it sets me on fire
And I cannot imagine
How to qualify too
(Chorus)
When the season's gone
We come out like eagles
But carry the weight for too long
We'll fall from sky like seagulls
All I say don't be great
You'll fall apart from the view
And most of the time gliding's fine
But flagging posts is fine too
Fly ,fly
(Verse)
When seasons change me
But they don't show me flowers
It's more than I can handle
Bathless storms came from showers
(Chorus)
When the season's gone
We come out like eagles
But carry the weight for too long
We'll fall from sky like seagulls
All I say don't be great
You'll fall apart from the view
And most of the time gliding's fine
But flagging posts is fine too
Fly ,fly
(Verse)
And now you know you've got it made
When the days are yours alone
Go out employ the country
(Verse)
January's coming back
I don't know if I'll be in for the bolt
I'll still love something
I'll still love something
(Chorus)
When the season's gone
We come out like eagles
But carry the weight for too long
We'll fall from sky like seagulls
All I say don't be great
You'll fall apart from the view
And most of the time gliding's fine
But flagging posts is fine too
Tell me just what I should be expecting
'Cause here I am on my own free will
Fortune favors the brave
So they say
I might as well fix something, play your game
Make a memory the reason
Remembering the time when you and I felt the high
I've found a way just to fight it
And we cannot regret
The esthetical feel
We had our brighter day
Was it synthetic or real
I protect the memory
If baby you can't recall it
You can't recall that
20 second journey with me
If baby you can't recall it
I won't forget that
I protect the memory
If baby you can't recall it
You can't recall that
20 second journey with me
If baby you can't recall it
I won't forget that
Was it just as real as you expected
'Cause looking back gives you a chill
Show me something you prefer today
Yea yea
Or maybe you're grown up and down to say
That amnesia gave you freedom
Or maybe you're a kind that tells a lie just to lie
We never have to say goodbye
And we cannot regret
The esthetical feel
We had our brighter day
Was it synthetic or real
I suspect your disbelief
Put in faith in your relief
I suspect your disbelief
Put in faith in your relief
I suspect your disbelief
Put in faith in your relief
I suspect your disbelief
I protect the memory
If baby you can't recall it
You can't recall that
20 second journey with me
If baby you can't recall it
I won't forget that
I protect the memory
If baby you can't recall it
You can't recall that
20 second journey with me
If baby you can't recall it
I won't forget that
I protect the memory
If baby you can't recall it
You can't recall that
20 second journey with me
If baby you can't recall it
i always knew summer was fleeting
but never that winter suffered the same fate
is there a season that doesn't change?
because this love seems to be following
the same patterns
the same disappointments
i always knew time was passing
but not that it carried any true weight
is there a second that doesn't fade?
because this life seems to be following
the same patterns
the same disappointments
it may be a new year but that just means
new ways to fail myself and relive memories
because i live each day like it's my last
and still find a way to have regrets
(and i have them)
