A toxin (from Ancient Greek: τοξικόν toxikon) is a poisonous substance produced within living cells or organisms; man-made substances created by artificial processes are thus excluded. The term was first used by organic chemist Ludwig Brieger (1849–1919).
For a toxic substance not produced within living organisms, "toxicant" and "toxics" are also sometimes used.[citation needed].
Toxins can be small molecules, peptides, or proteins that are capable of causing disease on contact with or absorption by body tissues interacting with biological macromolecules such as enzymes or cellular receptors. Toxins vary greatly in their severity, ranging from usually minor and acute (as in a bee sting) to almost immediately deadly (as in botulinum toxin).
Toxins are often distinguished from other chemical agents by their method of production - the word toxin does not specify method of delivery (compare with venom and the narrower meaning of poison – all substances that can also cause disturbances to organisms). It simply means it is a biologically produced poison. There was an ongoing terminological dispute between NATO and the Warsaw Pact over whether to call a toxin a biological or chemical agent, in which the NATO opted for biological agent, and the Warsaw Pact, like most other countries in the world, for chemical agent.[citation needed]
The Green Goblin is a fictional character, a supervillain who appears in the comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 (July 1964).
Although many characters have taken up this identity, the most well-known is the original Green Goblin, Norman Osborn. Osborn was originally an amoral industrialist head of OSCORP and father of Spider-Man's best friend, Harry Osborn, who took a serum which enhanced his physical abilities and intellect but also drove him to insanity. He adopted a Halloween-themed appearance, dressing in a goblin costume, riding on a bat-shaped "Goblin Glider", and using an arsenal of high-tech weapons, notably grenade-like "Pumpkin Bombs", to terrorize New York City. He is one of Spider-Man's most persistent foes, and many consider him to be one of the archenemies of Spider-Man, being directly responsible for numerous tragedies in Spider-Man's life, such as the death of Gwen Stacy and the Clone Saga. He is also the lead protagonist of the company-wide Dark Reign storyline.
Robert H. Lustig, MD is Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is nationally recognized in the field of neuroendocrinology, with an emphasis on the regulation of energy balance by the central nervous system. He has a special interest in childhood obesity. He has become publicly notable through his efforts to draw attention to the effects that the natural sugar fructose can have on human and especially children's health if consumed in large amounts. On May 26, 2009, Lustig gave a lecture called “Sugar: The Bitter Truth” which was posted on YouTube the following July and has become a viral success with over nearly 2.5 million viewings (as of Jun 2, 2012). In this lecture, Lustig notably calls fructose a "poison" and compares its metabolic effects with those of ethanol. Lustig is particularly critical of the widespread use of high-fructose corn syrup in the United States.
Lustig grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. He obtained his bachelors degree from MIT in 1976, and received his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College in 1980. From there, he spent six years as a research associate in neuroendocrinology at The Rockefeller University. He performed his pediatric residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital, and his clinical fellowship at UCSF which he joined in 1984.
William Robert "Will" Young (born 20 January 1979) is a British singer-songwriter and actor who came to prominence after winning the 2002 inaugural series of the British music contest Pop Idol, making him the first winner of the now-worldwide Idols-format franchise. His debut single, "Anything is Possible", was released two weeks after the show's finale and became the fastest-selling debut single in the United Kingdom.
As a teenager, Young studied politics at the University of Exeter before moving to London, where he pursued a musical theatre degree at the Arts Educational School. Although enrolled in a three-year programme, Young put his studies on hold in late 2001 to become a contestant on Pop Idol. After winning the competition the following year, he released his debut album From Now On (2002) which went to straight to number one. Friday's Child (2003) followed one year later and enjoyed greater popularity, eventually going platinum five times in the UK and spawning three top five singles. Achieving similar success, the album's successors include the multi-platinum Keep On (2005) and platinum Let It Go (2008) with his most recent release Echoes (2011) becoming his third UK number-one album.
Last night a moth came to my bed,
And filled my tired weary head,
With horrid tales of you,
I can't believe it's true.
But then the lamp shade smiled at me,
And it said, "Believe," it said, "believe."
I want you to know it's nothing personal
First time I had sex I was three.
First time consenting was thirteen.
Though you weren't there you remind,
Me of those hands.
Roses are red, violets are blue,
If I'm schizophrenic, then I am too!
Whatever it takes to escape.
I hope you understand,
Why I'm forced to take your life in my hands.
I want you to know it's nothing personal.
And though we've never met,
I've seen your image in a million waking dreams.
Your eyes they call to me, "Set me free."
Did I ever tell you? You look like my mother.
She once left me in a supermarket.
I promised myself that I'd never feel that way again.
Did I ever tell you? You look like my dear old mother.
I hope you understand,
Why I'm forced to take my life in your name.
I want you to know it's nothing all the same.
And though we've never met,
I've seen your image in a million waking dreams.
Your eyes they call to me, "Set me free."
Solo quedan
Derretidas consolas por la bruta salida
De mi voz cuando se descontrola
Agendo de perfecion
Y de equaciones matematicas es la voz
Perdido del que habla de anetica
I am the chosen, they want me
And I give them nothing
Set me free and I show you furry man and machine
Idon, ooh, Idon
I am the chosen, they want me
And I give them nothing
(Access denied)
Set me free and I show you furry man and machine
Well I love the sound of a rain on a tin roof
on a hot summer night
love to hear those hound dogs a-barkin
Howlin at the full moon light
Love to see those fireflies a buzzin
Lighting up the southern sky
Yeah I'm a hell bent 100% Texan til I die
Well I've crossed that old state line
more than a time or two
And if you see me leavin
you best be believing
I'll be back before the week is through
If I stay gone too long no tellin what I'll do
I might a-highjack a plane
I might jump a freight train
to get back home it's true
Well I love the sound of a rain on a tin roof
on a hot summer night
love to hear those hound dogs a-barkin
Howlin at the full moon light
Love to see those fireflies a buzzin
Lighting up the southern sky
Yeah I'm a hell bent 100% Texan til I die
Well now I don't mind going to Oklahoma
ain't never met an Okie that I didn't like
I dont mind New York city
Those yankees talk funny but they're alright
I don't mind going to wessiana
Their red hot cajun cooking suits me fine
If I had my way
I'd be home today
on my front porch drinking moonshine
Well I love the sound of a rain on a tin roof
on a hot summer night
love to hear those hound dogs a-barkin
Howlin at the full moon light
Love to see those fireflies a buzzin
Lighting up the southern sky
Yeah I'm a hell bent 100% Texan til I die
Well I love the sound of a rain on a tin roof
on a hot summer night
love to hear those hound dogs a-barkin
Howlin at the full moon light
Love to see those fireflies a buzzin
Lighting up the southern sky

All light has gone away
Hail ! Hail the chosen!
Faithful servants of god
All hail the chosen!
A covenant of blood
The earth cloaked in darkness, the sun is gone
The lord demands more lives
Bring them forward, brave servants
Soon to know of his eternal thirst
Drink deep and claim your prize
Bestow us light: we avert our eyes
Head are severed, raised on stakes
Bodies form a burial mound
To serve in death instead of life
To please the lord of light
Sacred martyrs, sanctified
Hear the roaring of the crowd
Hail ! Hail the chosen!
Faithful servants of god
All hail the chosen!
A covenant of blood
Raurrr
Offerings ti the god up high and the mob down below
Hearts are torn out, head are falling down
Pierce their flesh with blessed knives
Flay them from head to toe
The sun will come, rise anew
Bring with it the rain of life
Tear out their palpitating hearts
The light must return
Hail ! Hail the chosen!
Faithful servants of god
All hail the chosen!
