Oklahoma Militia of 50,000 Stands Beside Bundy Ranch Against the Feds

A land dispute in Nevada between rancher Cliven Bundy and the federal government began decades ago. The Bureau of Land Management says Bundy was allowing his cattle to graze illegally, which triggered a round-up of about 400 head of cattle last week. Bundy claims his family's cattle have grazed on the land since 1870 without interference from the government. However, the Bureau of Land Management says Bundy hadn't paid his grazing fees since 1993. Over time, officials say those fees have amounted to more than $1 million. As authorities herded the cattle, a standoff was sparked with members of the militia. Organizers with the Oklahoma Militia say they have members in Nevada who claim Bundy's cattle were unlawfully herded by the bureau. The Oklahoma Militia says it is made up of nearly 50,000 volunteers. Members say they are taking Bundy's side and fear this practice could spread to the Sooner State. Scott Shaw said, "Evidently in America we don't actually own the property anymore, if you ever did." Shaw says Oklahoma Militia members are ready to take up arms against the federal government if needed. He said, "It's up to the feds, the balls in their court! You can do this legally or if you want to try to do a land grab violently, you can do that. We're going to resist you!" Shaw says the militia has not had to defend Oklahoma from the government yet but members are becoming concerned. Shaw said, "Just look around the country, they are doing it everywhere. If they can do it in Nevada, they can do it in Colorado, Texas. I mean, what's to stop them from coming to Oklahoma? The only thing to stop them is 'We the People." However, not everyone agrees. Sen. Jim Inhofe said, "You've got a bunch of people there trying to take the law into their own hands and they shouldn't be doing that. And the Bureau of Land Management is not government-owned, it's publicly owned. There's a big difference there. I blame both sides." The Bureau of Land Management released the cattle after confiscating them.

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy's decades-long battle against the federal government over grazing rights has heated to the point where militia groups have joined in and taken up spots against the feds who've circled his land — and talk is, they're not afraid to open fire. A spokesman for the one of the militia groups said as much to local 8 News Now: I'm not "afraid to shoot," he said. Margaret Houston, Mr. Bundy's sister and a cancer survivor, said at a town hall gathering this week that the situation "was like a war zone" and that she felt "like I was not in the United States," The Daily Mail reported. The Las Vegas Review-Journal described it this way: "Serious bloodshed was narrowly avoided," in a story about how dogs were unleashed on a woman who was pregnant while the rancher's son was hit with a taser. On Tuesday, armed Bureau of Land Management agents stormed Mr. Bundy's property, escalating a court dispute that's wound for two decades over the rancher's refusal to pay for grazing fees. Mr. Bundy's view is that he owns his property — that it's been in his family's hands for centuries — and he doesn't have to pay for his own 900-head of cattle to graze on the 600,000 acre Gold Butte property. The government, meanwhile, says the land belongs to it, and agents have swooped and circled, closing off roadway access to the property and flying helicopters overhead the family's home. Following the agent occupation, one of Mr. Bundy's sons, Ammon Bundy, was tasered by a federal official to the point that blood seeped through his shirt, video showed. Ms. Houston, meanwhile, said she was roughed up and manhandled by authorities, telling town hall attendees that she was "hit from the back; it was like a football tackle" and that "they just took me and threw me down to the ground," The Daily Mail reported. BLM, for its part, says the situation only turned violent when protesters who rallied to the family's defense kicked a K-9 unit officer. Now militia groups are on the scene, promising to help the Bundys keep up the fight. It's fun and addicting, and if Respawn continuously updates playlist and options, this game will have a LONG life. That being said, the single player campaign is underwhelming. We knew this going in; a lot us even wondered if there would be a campaign at all. There is, but it vaguely resembles any traditional campaign. There are two sides, the I.M.C and the Militia. As you can tell by the title, this is the Militia side. If you are buying this game expecting a single player experience, DON'T. Again I don't blame Respawn for this, they have made it clear from the beginning that their complete focus was on multiplayer, and that this game is meant for people who want to play online. I do see promise in this multiplayer style campaign, but it's clear that it is just an add on here, tacked on. The lore, and universe in the game has some potential. If the characters were fleshed I can see the story ramping up to something special. Regardless, I wanted to post both campaigns for my subs who have been asking for it, and for those of you who are interested to see what's it's like. The results of the mission are the same whether you win or lose the match. Enjoy, and make sure you like, comment, and subscriber! P.S. You HAVE to do the campaigns if you want to unlock the Strider and Ogre Titans in multiplayer. This sounds annoying, but it really is no big deal since the campaign are just online matches anyway, and you rank up and unlock other weapons that carries on into regular multiplayer, so it really is no big deal.
