The Bunker Hill has an impressive history, of which a little is listed here:
In January 2010, the USS Bunker Hill headed toward Haiti, part of the US Navy's enlarging sea base directed at implementing disaster relief for the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
In February 2011, the USS Bunker Hill along with the USS Momsen broke up a pirate attack on a tanker while patrolling the Gulf of Oman. The ships chased away two skiffs, eventually sinking both after they had returned to their mothership.
Since her commissioning, Bunker Hill has deployed six times to the Persian Gulf and has earned fifteen Battle "E" Awards, including the Golden Battle "E" in 1996 and 2006 which is given when a ship receives five such awards consecutively.
In March 2006, it was announced that Lockheed Martin will upgrade the Aegis system on 22 navy vessels; the Bunker Hill is the first slated to receive the upgrade.
In January 2007, the Bunker Hill was sent to the coast of Somalia to conduct anti-terrorist operations as part of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) task force. She was awarded the Meritorious Unit Citation for this role.
On 28 February 2008, Bunker Hill was awarded the 2007 Battle "E" award, her 6th consecutive Battle "E".
From 1 October 2009, Bunker Hill was assigned to Carrier Strike Group One, whose flagship is the USS Carl Vinson.

Two ships of the United States Navy have been named Bunker Hill, in remembrance of the Battle of Bunker Hill during the American Revolutionary War:
One civilian steamer, SS Bunker Hill, was acquired by the Navy in 1917 and commissioned as USS Aroostook (CM-3).

USS Bunker Hill (CG-52)
USS Bunker Hill (CG-52) is a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser of the United States Navy laid down by Litton-Ingalls Shipbuilding Corporation at Pascagoula, Mississippi on 11 January 1984, launched on 11 March 1985 and commissioned on 20 September 1986. Bunker Hill is homeported at Naval Base San Diego in San Diego, California.
Bunker Hill was the first Ticonderoga-class cruiser to be equipped with the Mark 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) in place of the previous ships' twin-arm Mark 26 missile launchers, which greatly improved the flexibility and firepower of the ships by allowing them to fire RGM-109 Tomahawk missiles.

Description Area 52 is a SVA BFA Computer Arts senior thesis project. It is the story of war between humans and monsters that were created from nuclear radioactivity on judgment day. The Book of Revelations 12:9 says 'The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.' Humans run away and hide themselves, but monsters overrun most of the continents and humans start to build a new weapon that can protect them from monsters. They build their own angel to fight against devils. Technical Description Area 52 is a CG based realistic short story animation. I started with a variety of concept art for robot modeling and took references of transformations from movie 'Transformers'. Monsters from Pacific Rim were used as references for anatomy and movements. I made soldiers, robot, monsters and the environment modelings with Autodesk Maya 2015, and UVed with UV Layout. I rigged also in Autodesk Maya and used custom scripts because of the high polygon modelings. While animating, I first started lighting by using lots of volumetric lights and small point light to show big scale area. Lastly, I composited with Nuke for z-depths and color correction. Stock images of smoke and breaking rock debris were added and the dusts was made with particle in After Effects and Nuk. The sound design was made with Protools. The USS Bunker Hill (CG-52), a Ticonderoga class guided missile cruiser, shown here returning in June 2012, from her deployment as part of Carrier Strike Group One, (USS Carl Vinson Strike Group).

The Bunker Hill has an impressive history, of which a little is listed here:
In January 2010, the USS Bunker Hill headed toward Haiti, part of the US Navy's enlarging sea base directed at implementing disaster relief for the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
In February 2011, the USS Bunker Hill along with the USS Momsen broke up a pirate attack on a tanker while patrolling the Gulf of Oman. The ships chased away two skiffs, eventually sinking both after they had returned to their mothership.
Since her commissioning, Bunker Hill has deployed six times to the Persian Gulf and has earned fifteen Battle "E" Awards, including the Golden Battle "E" in 1996 and 2006 which is given when a ship receives five such awards consecutively.
In March 2006, it was announced that Lockheed Martin will upgrade the Aegis system on 22 navy vessels; the Bunker Hill is the first slated to receive the upgrade.
In January 2007, the Bunker Hill was sent to the coast of Somalia to conduct anti-terrorist operations as part of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) task force. She was awarded the Meritorious Unit Citation for this role.
On 28 February 2008, Bunker Hill was awarded the 2007 Battle "E" award, her 6th consecutive Battle "E".
From 1 October 2009, Bunker Hill was assigned to Carrier Strike Group One, whose flagship is the USS Carl Vinson.

Area 52 is a SVA BFA Computer Arts senior thesis project. It is the story of war between humans and monsters that were created from nuclear radioactivity on judgment day. The Book of Revelations 12:9 says 'The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.' Humans run away and hide themselves, but monsters overrun most of the continents and humans start to build a new weapon that can protect them from monsters. They build their own angel to fight against devils.
Technical Description
Area 52 is a CG based realistic short story animation. I started with a variety of concept art for robot modeling and took references of transformations from movie 'Transformers'. Monsters from Pacific Rim were used as references for anatomy and movements. I made soldiers, robot, monsters and the environment modelings with Autodesk Maya 2015, and UVed with UV Layout. I rigged also in Autodesk Maya and used custom scripts because of the high polygon modelings. While animating, I first started lighting by using lots of volumetric lights and small point light to show big scale area. Lastly, I composited with Nuke for z-depths and color correction. Stock images of smoke and breaking rock debris were added and the dusts was made with particle in After Effects and Nuk. The sound design was made with Protools.
