Limerick ( /ˈlɪmrɪk/; Irish: Luimneach [ˈl̪imʲɨnʲəx]) is a city in the Mid-West or Shannon Region of Ireland. It is the fifth most populous city on the island of Ireland and when taking the extra-municipal suburbs into account, Limerick is the third largest urban area in the Republic of Ireland, with a population of 91,454. Limerick is also the second-largest city in the province of Munster, an area that constitutes the midwest and southwest of Ireland. The city is built on several curves and islands of the River Shannon, which spreads into an estuary shortly downriver from Limerick. Road infrastructure features four main crossing points near the city centre (an additional river tunnel to the west of the three bridges opened in July 2010). Limerick is one of the constituent cities of the Cork-Limerick-Galway corridor, which has a population of 1 million.
Luimneach originally referred to the general area along the banks of the Shannon Estuary known as Loch Luimnigh. The earliest settlement in the city, Inis Sibhtonn, was the original name for King's Island during the pre-Viking and Viking eras. This island was also called Inis an Ghaill Duibh, The Dark(haired) Foreigner's Island. The name is recorded in Viking sources as Hlymrekr.
Yeeeaahh I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
L'America, L'America, L'America
L'America, L'America, L'America
C'mon people, don't ya look so down
You know the rain man's comin' ta town
Change the weather, change your luck
And then he'll teach ya how ta...find yourself
L'America
Friendly strangers came to town
All the people put them down
But, the women loved their ways
Come again some other day
Like the gentle rain
Like the gentle rain that falls
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
L'America, L'America, L'America
L'America, L'America, L'America
L'America
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
L'America, L'America, L'America
L'America, L'America, L'America
Come on people, don't you look so down
You know the rain man is coming to town
He'll change your weather, change your luck
And it'll teach you how to
Find yourself
L'America
Friendly strangers came to town
All the people put them down
But the women loved their ways
Come again some other day
Like the gentle rain
Like the gentle rain
That falls
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
I took a trip down to L'America
To trade some beads for a pint of gold
L'America, L'America, L'America
L'America, L'America, L'America
L'America
Tears of the feeble, hands of the slaves
Skin of the mothers, mouths of the babes
Building the towers, belongs to the sky
When the whole thing comes crashing down
Don't ask me why
Under the shelf, the shelf of the sky
Two eyes, two suns, too heavenly blinds
Swallowing rivers, belongs to the sea
When the whole thing washes away
Don't run to me
I'll be going down for the rest of the slide
While the rest of you harvest the gold
And the wreck of you
Is the death of you all
And the wreck of you
Is the break and the fall
I'm the wreck of you
I'm the death of you all
I'm the wreck of you
I'm the break and the fall
Under the red break of the lights
Heroes in stretches inch to the site
Blowing the pieces, belong to the wind
When the whole thing blows away
I won't pretend
I'll be going down for the rest of the slide
While the rest of you harvest the souls
And the wreck of you
Is the death of you all
And the wreck of you
Is the break and the fall
I'm the wreck of you
I'm the death of you all
I'm the wreck of you
I'm the break and the fall
Behind the blood red break of the lights
Lies the wreck of you for the rest of your life
And the wreck of you
Is the death of you all
And the wreck of you
Is the break and the fall
I'm the wreck of you
I'm the death of you all
I'm the wreck of you
L'amore che parla di sé in un bello sguardo
La percezione in cui mi perdo
E l'oltre mare di un assurdo sì
L amore che arriva con movenze lente
Qui sotto gli occhi della gente
Mi parla con voce tremante sì
Illudendo, lusingando
Incantando e come danzando
Afferra le mani sì
Affrettando, ansimando, provocando
E tutto abbreviando, come adorando sì
Sì ti amo tanto e ti sento
Arrossendo e impallidendo
Quasi morendo, sì
L'amore che trafigge me lascia che dica
Non so cos'è non lo so mica
Le Mirage
Downtown c’est monotone
Je m’accroche à Elvis
étoile brillante sur quoi je glisse
l’été un café
je cherche un petit matin
un peu d’humeur et de satin
Je croise un mirage
Je croise un rivage
J’attendais la mer
Où est ce passage
Chasser par les vents d’hiver
Je croise un mirage
j’étouffe et j’enrage
Ou est ce passage
Pousser par les vents d’hiver
J’aimais la cité
ses bruits et ses odeurs
Un dragon dans un wagon fumeur
Downtown c’est monotone
Je m’accroche à Elvis
étoile brillante et moi je glisse
