Daniel Colt McCoy (born September 5, 1986) is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Texas at Austin.
McCoy was the starting quarterback for the Longhorns from 2006–2009 and won the 2008 Walter Camp Award and was the 2008 Heisman Trophy runner-up. McCoy is second to Boise's State's Kellen Moore in games won by a NCAA Division I quarter back. In his senior year, he won 13 of the top 15 major college player awards including quarterback of the year, offensive player of the year and outstanding football player of the year.
After sitting out the 2005 Longhorn season as a redshirt, McCoy was the starting quarterback for the 2006 Longhorn team. On November 4, 2006, McCoy threw his 27th touchdown pass in a win against Oklahoma State, to take sole possession of the Texas school record for most touchdowns ever thrown by a quarterback in a single season. Subsequently, in the 2006 Alamo Bowl on December 30, McCoy threw two touchdowns against University of Iowa to tie Nevada's David Neill for second place for freshman touchdowns in a single season. Also during the 2006 season, McCoy was named College Football News Big 12 Player of the Year and was named the quarterback to their "All Freshman Team". Injuries caused him to miss portions of the final two regular season games, but was able to play for the entire duration of the Longhorns' bowl game.
Jordan Shipley (born December 23, 1985) is an American football wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Texas at Austin, and earned All-American honors. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Shipley was born in Temple, Texas. He played high school football at Rotan High School in Rotan, Texas as a freshman in 2000, and then from 2001 to 2003 at Burnet High School in Burnet, Texas, where his father, Bob Shipley, was the head coach. Shipley holds almost every high school career receiving record for the state of Texas, including career receptions (264), receiving yards (5,424), and receiving touchdowns (73). In 2000, in his first varsity game as a freshman at Rotan High, Shipley totaled 454 all-purpose yards and returned 3 punts for touchdowns.
With current Dallas Cowboys quarterback Stephen McGee, Shipley helped lead the Burnet Bulldogs to back-to-back Class 3A State Championship games in 2002 and 2003. Following his record-setting high school career, Shipley played in the 2004 U.S. Army All-American Bowl with fellow Texas Longhorn Frank Okam and current Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
Nick Williams (born 2 December 1983 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a rugby union player who played for Munster in the Magners League and Heineken Cup for 2 seasons. Williams won 19 caps for Munster and scored 4 tries, including a hat-trick against the Newport Gwent Dragons. He previously played for North Harbour in the Air New Zealand Cup and for the Blues in the Super 14. His position is No 8. Williams joined Aironi on a 1 year deal for the 2010/2011 season.
His brother is Tim Nanai-Williams, the Chiefs wing and fullback.
In Summer 2012 Williams signed for Ulster Rugby after leaving Aironi.
Kirk Cousins (born August 19, 1988) is an American football quarterback for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. He played college at Michigan State from 2007-2011. He was the Spartans' starter from 2009–2011. He was drafted with the 102nd pick in the 4th Round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.
Cousins attended Holland Christian High School in Holland, Michigan where he starred in football, baseball (as a pitcher), and basketball. He broke his ankle in his junior year and was forced to attend camps in order to make an impression with recruiting colleges. He was about to sign with Toledo or Western Michigan when Mark Dantonio became the head coach at Michigan State. After Dantonio failed to sign his top targets at quarterback, he offered a scholarship to Cousins in January 2007, and he accepted. Cousins finished his high school football career with 3,204 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions.
In 2007, newly hired Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio recruited Cousins to play for the Spartans. Cousins was redshirted for the 2007 season. In 2008, he spent the season as the back up quarterback to Brian Hoyer. He played in five games passing for a total of 310 yards and two touchdowns and one interception. In 2009, he competed for and won the starting quarterback job against teammate Keith Nichol. He led Michigan State to a 6–7 (4-4) season with 19 touchdowns, nine interceptions and 2,680 passing yards in 12 games. In 2010, he led Michigan State to a 11–2 (7-1) record and won the Big Ten Championship. In 2011 his Michigan State Spartans went 11-3 (7-2) and played in the first ever Big Ten championship game. Cousins was named Second Team All-Big Ten by the coaches, and played his final game as a Michigan State Spartan on January 2, 2012 defeating the Georgia Bulldogs in the Outback Bowl. His teams posted a undefeated 4-0 record against in-state rivals Michigan. Cousins won the 2011 Lowes's Senior CLASS Award
Samuel Jacob Bradford (born November 8, 1987) is an American football quarterback for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He was the first overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, after playing college football for the University of Oklahoma. In 2008, as a redshirt sophomore, Bradford became the second sophomore to win a Heisman Trophy. He also holds the NCAA record for most touchdown passes by a freshman quarterback, with 36.
In his first season in the NFL, Bradford set the record for most completions by a rookie in NFL history, which helped earn him the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Bradford was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City, where he starred in football, basketball and golf. As a senior quarterback for his high school football team in 2006, he threw for 2,029 yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 games. His senior year in basketball, he averaged a double-double.
Bradford was a three-star recruit not that highly ranked among the high school class of 2006, with his highest ranking being No. 12 among only pro-style quarterbacks by recruiting source Rivals.com, behind Pat Devlin, Juice Williams, Josh Freeman, and being overshadowed by the likes of five-star recruits Mitch Mustain, Matthew Stafford and Tim Tebow.
