In case of emergency (ICE) is a programme that enables first responders, such as paramedics, firefighters, and police officers, as well as hospital personnel, to contact the next of kin of the owner of a mobile phone to obtain important medical or support information (the phone must be unlocked and working). The phone entry (or entries) should supplement or complement written (such as wallet, bracelet, or necklace) information or indicators. The programme was conceived in the mid-2000s and promoted by British paramedic Bob Brotchie in May 2005. It encourages people to enter emergency contacts in their mobile phone address book under the name "ICE". Alternatively, a person can list multiple emergency contacts as "ICE1", "ICE2", etc. The popularity of the program has spread across Europe and Australia, and it has started to grow into North America.
Following research carried out by Vodafone that showed that fewer than 25% of people carry any details of who they would like telephoned following a serious accident, a campaign encouraging people to do this was started in May 2005 by Bob Brotchie of the East Anglia Ambulance Service in the UK. The idea has taken off since 7 July 2005 London bombings.
Jane Seymour (c. 1508 – 24 October 1537) was Queen of England as the third wife of King Henry VIII. She succeeded Anne Boleyn as queen consort following the latter's execution for trumped up charges of high treason, incest and adultery in May 1536. She died of postnatal complications less than two weeks after the birth of her only child, a son who reigned as Edward VI. She was the only one of Henry's wives to receive a queen's funeral, and his only consort to be buried beside him in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, as she was the only consort to have a male heir.
Jane Seymour was born at Wulfhall, Savernake Forest, Wiltshire, the daughter of Sir John Seymour and Margery Wentworth. Through her maternal grandfather, she was the great-great granddaughter of King Edward III of England through Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence. Because of this, she and King Henry VIII were fifth cousins. She was a half-second cousin to her predecessor Anne Boleyn, sharing a great-grandmother, Elizabeth Cheney. Her date of birth is a matter of debate. It is usually given as 1509 or even 1510, but it has been noted that at her funeral, 29 women walked in succession. Since it was customary for the attendant company to mark every year of the deceased's life in numbers, this implies she was born in 1508, or 1507 and she had not yet celebrated her 30th birthday.
All the telephones say we like to speak in a forked tongue.
To keep our hands clean, we fuck with dull knives,
and we're keeping tabs to make sure
that no one here gets out alive!
"Please sign your name on the dotted line."
Electric lady came to me in a daydream singing in
key, to the tune of a pitchfork apocalypse.
A digital baby came to me in my sleep saying
"If I want to learn to speak, I'll start
keeping track of my teeth."
We're so over dramatic, so stick
this knife in my side just to spite my heart.
And it's so post-traumatic. This funeral party is
dead, and we're sending "thank you" cars.
I'm beginning to learn to pay my way
through benign tumors and manageable pain.
Where there's a will there's a way.
I'm calling the doctor, but they say he's not in,
and I'm calling your priest but he won't absolve my sins.
I'm calling hotlines but "all operators are currently busy."
I'm calling neighbors but all of them are
watching movies, none of them are living.
They're all praying to gods they found on the T.V.
