Plot
The Unusual (Calling of) Charlie Christmas is the story of a socially awkward, thirty-two year old high school janitor who is inspired to become a costumed vigilante in his small Oklahoma town. Bullied and overlooked his entire life, Charlie receives his 'higher calling' even as his tender friendship with his neighbor, a meek and mysterious woman named Gracie, begins to develop into something more powerful. As Charlie begins to craft his crime fighting alter ego, the line between costumed hero and everyday reality begins to blur. He is guided by an apparition of Jesus as he begins to confront both the loss of his parents as a child and his fear of "getting hit" which stem from his own experience of being bullied. Flush with his new found conviction to rid the town of bullies he finds himself in a personal confrontation with Gracie's abusive boyfriend Brad. The conflict between Charlie and Brad serves as a parallel to Charlie's attempt to clean up the town's criminal element. While Charlie dispenses his own brand of "masked" justice to various street thugs and gangs he steps out from behind the mask to deal with Brad making this conflict more visceral. Charlie loves Gracie, if only at a distance, and Gracie sees Charlie as someone she may have loved if life had only taken a different path. Although their relationship seems hopeless and at times quietly desperate, it more than anything else is the catalyst for change in both of their lives.

Tej: [to Giselle] Did he smack that ass, or did he grab it?
Tej: Aw, hell no. They really went and scraped the bottom of the barrel here, didn't they?::Roman Pearce: Guess they did, considering your ass is here. When are you gonna give Martin Luther King his car back?::Tej: As soon as you give Rick James his jacket back.
Reyes: [crawling out of his wrecked car and lying on the ground] Help me.::Hobbs: [shoots him in the torso, without looking at him] That's for my team, you son of a bitch.
Roman Pearce: [regarding going into a police station] Who's supposed to do all that?::[Everyone looks at Roman]::Roman Pearce: What do you mean? Why me?::Brian O'Conner: Cause you got the biggest mouth.::Tej: That is for damn sure.
Roman Pearce: You know, I think I make a better special agent than you ever did.::Brian O'Conner: I guess that depends on how you define 'special'.
Chief of Police Alemeida: Is all this really necessary to apprehend two men?::Hobbs: Let me tell you a little something about these two men. One's a former federal officer, been in deep cover for five years. He knows every way you're gonna come for him. The other one's a professional criminal, escaped prison twice, spent half his life on the run avoiding folks like you.::Chief of Police Alemeida: Well, if there's anything we can do to help the DSS...::Hobbs: Two things. One: I need a translator.::Chief of Police Alemeida: Claro, we have plenty in the public relations department.::Hobbs: Elena Neves.::Chief of Police Alemeida: A patrol officer?::Hobbs: You heard me.::Chief of Police Alemeida: But why? We have many more experienced people.::Hobbs: I like her smile.::Chief of Police Alemeida: What's the second thing?::Hobbs: [pause] Stay the fuck out of my way!
Roman Pearce: Sexy legs, baby girl. What time do they open?::Gisele: [pulls her gun on Roman] They open at the same time I pull this trigger. Want me to open them?
Roman Pearce: You only live once, lets do this!
Roman Pearce: $11 million? Sounds like a whole lot of vaginal activity to me.
Hobbs: Hell of a mess.::Brian O'Conner: Yeah, it is.::Hobbs: You know I can't let you two go. I ain't made that way. The way I see it, you've earned yourselves 24 hours. The money stays, though. If I were you, I'd use the time. Make peace with whatever demons you got left. Cause come tomorrow, I will find you.::Hobbs: [to Toretto] Toretto, I'll see you soon.::Dominic Toretto: [pause] No you won't.
