Lost in time
Plot
Johnny Red always wanted to be a scientist and work for NASA when he grew up. After several academic mishaps, Johnny is stuck in his suburban Pennsylvania town. When all other means of impressing the local community fail, Johnny decides to build a functioning time machine. Instead of using correct science, Johnny decides to base all of his research on action-adventure films of the 1980s and 90s. Only his girlfriend Penny and a five-year old neighbor believe in him. Johnny is humiliated on the news and discouraged by his old physics professor Howard Lorington. Lorington doesn't want Johnny to fail, he simply wants him to use real science instead of science-fiction. After Penny helps Johnny to see the error in his ways, he goes back to the professor to get the right scientific information. Working through the night, Johnny applies what he has learned from Lorington and is ready to launch the next day. He is greeted by hundreds of local residents who have come out to see their new hero.
Boy meets girl, girl falls for boy, boy builds time machine
Johnny Red: I want to know, upfront, honestly... what are the chances of getting my time machine up to speed?::Professor Loringon: Well unlike your case study you've presented here...::Johnny Red: Exhibit A.::Professor Loringon: Yes... unlike... Exhibit A, you're gonna have to go a lot faster than eighty eight miles per hour.
Johnny Red: With all due respect Professor, do you think Ben Franklin knew jackshit about chemistry before he flew that kite in the rainstorm?

A penny is a coin (pl. pennies) or a type of currency (pl. pence) used in several English-speaking countries. It is often the smallest denomination within a currency system.
Old English versions of the word penny are penig, pening, penning and pending; the word appears in German as Pfennig, in Dutch and Swedish (often shortened to peng) as penning, and in West Frisian as peinje or penje. In Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish, the most common words for money are pengar, penger and penge respectively. These words are thought by some to have common roots with the English word "pawn", German Pfand, and Dutch pand, words which mean "a pledge or token".
The silver penny of medieval Europe was modeled on similar small silver coins from antiquity: the Greek drachma and Roman Denarius. There are also archeology exibitions that show traces of pennies in Sweden and Norway. Researchers believe that this might be the result of Viking influence in northern Europe.[citation needed]
When Britain was under Roman rule, most of Britain used the coin-based monetary system that was used by the Roman Empire, but their system of coinage soon changed after the Romans left. As the invading Anglo-Saxons began to settle and establish their own kingdoms, some started to make gold coins based on the old Roman designs or designs copied from the coins used in the Frankish kingdoms. Their monetary system had several serious flaws: first, gold was so valuable, that even the smallest coins were very valuable, thus, these gold coins would only be used in large transactions. Further, gold was very rare, and this rarity prevented such coins from being common enough to use for even large transactions.
Hanni El Khatib is a singer-songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles.

Anfernee Deon "Penny" Hardaway (born July 18, 1971) is a former American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA), specializing as an unconventionally tall point guard. His most productive years came in his days as a member of the Orlando Magic as well as the early portion of his stint with the Phoenix Suns. Hardaway was an All-NBA player early in his career, but was plagued by constant injuries which gradually reduced his effectiveness. He played for New York Knicks from 2004 to 2006 and last played for the Miami Heat, who released him December 12, 2007.
Hardaway's nickname came as a result of his grandmother's calling him "Pretty" with a southern drawl, thus sounding like "Penny." Hardaway was raised by his grandmother while his mother was away working. His first love was football but his grandmother did not want him to get hurt. He grew up in the Binghampton neighborhood of shotgun houses in Memphis, Tennessee. As a teenager, despite his rising popularity around the city, in high school, and the nation, Penny continued to work as a referee of youth sports at the Memphis YMCA and played on the Memphis Y.M.C.A. Jr. Olympic basketball teams as a youth.

Penny it's so silly to me
I guess, you're only holdin' out on me
I telephone, you're never ever home
And every time I call
It drives me up the wall
It's crazy to me
I took you to see all the stars in the sky
You took me by surprise
There isn't a doubt
That's what you're talkin' about
Everybody knows it but me
Penny I got your number
You're so easy to read
You make the sidewalks bright
In the dead of the night
You ought to give yourself a hand
Penny I got your number
You know you gave it to me
Well you could dance all right
With the boys all night
You know you got control
Penny the arcade is gettin' old
Penny I got two cities on hold
Haunted by the promise of another man
Penny it's not that
I don't really understand
It's crazy to me
I took you to see all the stars in the sky
They twinkle in your eyes
There isn't a doubt
It's what you're talkin' about
Everybody knows it but me
Penny I got your number
You're so easy to read
You make the sidewalks bright
In the dead of the night
You ought to give yourself a hand
Penny I got your number
You know you gave it to me
Well you can dance all right
With the boys all night
You know you got control
(You know you've got control)
Over me
Penny I got your number
You're so easy to read
You make the sidewalks bright
In the dead of the night
You ought to give yourself a hand
Penny I got your number
You know you gave it to me
Well you can dance all right
With the boys all night
You know you got control
Penny I got your number
Penny I got your number
Penny I got your number
Penny I got your number
Penny I got your number
Penny I got your number
Penny I got your
Don't know much about practicing what I preach,
Don't know how to be envious without jealousy,
Don't know how to hold my temper, when I have to get in the last word,
Don't know how to speak softly and still be heard,
But before I lose everything and everyone who loves me...
God if you're listening would you have a message sent?
Cause I need to be a better lover, brother, and a friend.
God if you're listening would you come up with some change?
Cause I wake up every morning with a penny to my name.
Don't know much about love cause I get the same crap from every guy,
Don't know how to see the grass being greener on my side,
Don't know much about wisdom without being jaded,
Don't know how to take criticism without feeling hated,
But before I lose everything and everyone who loves me...
God if you're listening would you have a message sent?
Cause I need to be a better lover, brother, and a friend.
God if you're listening would you come up with some change?
Cause I wake up every morning with a penny to my name.
Whoa man, I'm everything I said I wouldn't be,
Standing here with nothing, will you help me?
Don't know how to tell a joke without putting my foot in my mouth,
Don't know how to be intimate if I don't have a crowd,
Don't know how to be hopeful, what if they let me down?
I don't know how to keep myself from hurting everyone...
God if you're listening would you have a message sent?
Cause I need to be a better lover, brother, and a friend.
God if you're listening would you come up with some change?
Cause I wake up every morning with a penny to my name.
God if you're listening would you have a message sent?
Cause I need to be a better lover, brother, and a friend.
God if you're listening would you come up with some change?
Cause I wake up every morning with a penny to my name.
Oh, God, I don't know much about nothing.
No, so give me a break.
Anyway, won't anybody listen to me?
looking down thought i saw a penny
something tells me it wasn't red
spun around wishing to see clearly
happens to me now and then
when i wait in the afternoon
waiting for my, waiting for my
they say it's come so soon
waiting for my, waiting for my
favorite one to swing on by
in the hot rod woah oh ohoh
spun up near me looking sweaty
just about when i was done
maybe we'll forget to hurry
nevermind it we'll have our fun
looking down thought i saw a penny
something tells me it wasn't red
spun around wishing to see clearly
happens to me now and then
when i wait in the afternoon
waiting for my, waiting for my
they say it's come so soon
waiting for my, waiting for my
favorite one to swing on by
in the hot rod woah oh ohoh
spun up near me looking sweaty
just about when i was done
maybe we'll forget to hurry
nevermind it we'll have our fun
and we'll wait
Taking on two
Two tasks at once
It's a hell of a time
To be stranded off the line
I'm a machine,
but I'm a funny colour,
I'm a funny colour
Your evidence
Of how an electric fence
Is a breakthrough
In self defence
It takes
It takes what it takes
I'm a machine, I'm a machine
but I'm a funny colour,
I'm a funny colour
It takes
It takes what it takes
I'm a machine, I'm a machine
but I'm a funny colour,
I often wondered about the past
Wondered if our love was going to last or end
Rumours described in a way to me
Makes it easy to see that they would bend I was shy
could lend one penny to spend on feeling I hide from you
No matter what I did or tried to do
Oh any anytime to you, oh no
And when I'm looking into your eyes
Am I too blind to see that you can see meW
Woah oh oh, You see me
Ay ay ay
Now that you've found out what caused an end
It it foolish but I call you just a friend
Oh but it's in disguise in a way to me
But you make it so easy to see
I could just be the one that you see
I tried to describe the things
I know there's no chance that we might meet again
And when I'm looking into your eyes
Am I too blind to see that you can see me
Woah oh you see me, no no no
I can't waste no time, I wish I could lend
One penny to spend on those feelings that I stop
and hide from you, I stop, I'm really gonna let you see
Woah, I ever ever ever ever I know
I feel my health is falling
Feel life is most appalling
Then I find you there but
Woah, helps alright
I said baby I'm alright
I said oh oh I'm alright
I'm alright, I'm alright
I'm all, I'm all, I'm alright
Baby I'm alright if it's alright with you
I know there's nothing you can do anymore
Who said penny was just a dying soul she's just a bit lost,
Tonight it's her night she's gonna dance 'till she falls,
My daddy gave me money to take a cab,
Come on let's go buy liquor and dance,
And budy let me introduce to you,
The girl I've got the girl that doesn't make me blue,
Sing wooh wooh,
Penny show me again the city lights,
Take me once again to Paris by night,
My daddy gave me money to take a bus,
Come on let's go buy liquor and drugs,
I found you
By the heel of my shoe
You were hiding
Underneath my sole
You're my perfect, my perfect little penny
And I will keep you
Till I get old
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
So please shine on
I wonder
Will you stay in my pocket?
When I need you
Will you come out for me?
Hope I don't lose you
Being careless with my spending
I've been known to
But that's gonna change
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
So please shine on
Promise I'll never lose you
Promise I'll never let you go
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
So please shine on
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
So please shine on
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
So please shine on
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
My perfect little penny
You're my perfect, my perfect, my perfect
[Verse 1]
Retrospect is 20/20, about a girl named Penny
Thought she wasn't worth it, she said I wasn't ready
Too messed up in the head, plus no job steady
I said I'm a starving artist, and you're supposed to get me
But evidently what I represent's a bit sketchy
Probly thinking something like, my dad would never let me
I met the mom and sister, I think they both sweat me
I said run away with me she said, please, don't tempt me
But that was kindness, I know, she had her own plans
And I understood, clearly, she deserves a grown man
An optimist that's focused, likes to take her out
Not some crazy type a genius always bringing her down
Sometimes I sit and think that I'm best, without her
Or maybe I made this song just so I could say it louder
Prouder of myself now, then I was back then
All I wanna do is tell her, girl, we can't, be, friends
[Hook]
Sometimes, I sit and think, I'm best left alone
Then I get under the covers, remember the cold
I miss you in the morning when I'm putting on my clothes
When I'm sitting there, bored, just staring at the phone
Sometimes, I sit and think, I'm best left alone
Then I go out with the homies, see you at the show
I miss you in the crowd when we sharing a smoke
When I get bad news look for someone to hold
[Bridge]
I'm gonna pry
So I can see
Or someday
You may not see me, hanging on
[Verse 2]
Penny laughed a lot, I always had that
Actually come to think of it, I'VE, always had that
Nope that wasn't exclusive, and what about these raps?
She went to my shows and gave me half-ass claps
Perhaps it's merely that, I just don't like feeling lonely
There's plenty more fish in the sea, she's not the only
I asked her why she thought I was fly, and she told me
There ain't nobody like me in the world, that's near holy
I got a lot to offer, I'm honest, open and endowed
I got a job now, would a made mom proud
Yeah I can't stay off the drugs, but that's when it's just me
Trust me, if you were here, I'd be drug free, you'd love me
Sometimes I sit and think about me and you forever
Perhaps I made this song to kinda be a love letter
Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe alone is just better
I'm a find a dime, yeah at the club, then undress her
