L&T;, HCC, J Kumar shares gain on Mumbai metro orders

Larsen & Toubro and J Kumar have bagged two packages each of the total seven awarded by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation as part of the third phase of the metro network in the city, the government agency said on Tuesday. NTPC employee OFS subscribed 85 pc, govt nets Rs 202 cr

New Delhi, Jul 5 () State-run power major NTPC today said its offer for sale of 2.06 crore equity shares for its employees was subscribed 85 per cent and government is expected to net around Rs 202 crore from the share sale ... This is the highest ever employee participation in disinvestment process of any company post OFS (offer for sale) and demonstrates the faith reposed by the employees in their company, it said....

Autorickshaws in the city ply without operating meters despite the order of the Madras High Court ... The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) and regional transport authorities should jointly take action to enforce the meter system in autos for the benefit of the public and tourists visiting the city ...
