Mexican police in Ciudad Juarez launch a manhunt for a female who is suspected of killing two bus drivers in apparent revenge for crimes against women. Full Story: Mexican authorities are investigating claims a that a woman shot dead two bus drivers last week in Ciudad Juarez in revenge for the sexual abuse against female passengers. The "Diario de Juarez" newspaper says last Wednesday morning a blonde-haired woman boarded a bus, walked up to the driver, took out a gun and shot him in the head several times. It reported that the following day, the same woman shot another driver in the same way. Eyewitnesses say the suspected killer is a woman in her fifties, dark-skinned and with dyed blonde hair or a blonde wig. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, with a plan to put undercover police aboard buses and conduct weapon searches of passengers. Local Ciudad Juarez on-line newspaper, La Polaka, says it received an email from an address dubbed: "Diana, the hunter of bus drivers", claiming responsibility for the killings in the city. Several bus drivers were arrested in connection with the killings that targeted women, but the majority of crimes still remain unsolved. Rights groups have accused Mexican authorities of not properly investigating and prosecuting crimes against women and widespread impunity. However, activists say revenge killings are no way to bring justice to the violence-ravaged border city. Ciudad Juarez was once the infamous epicentre of Mexico's brutal drugs war, where nearly three-thousand people were killed in narco violence in 2009. Locals say both bus drivers and passengers are scared by the city's wave of violence. According to a 2012 report by Amnesty, at least thirty-four-thousand women were murdered in Mexico between 1985 and 2009 with Ciudad Juarez a traditional hotspot for femicide in the country.
