Fritz Kalkbrenner (° 1981 in Berlin) is a German DJ and producer.
Since 2002, Kalkbrenner has worked as a culture and music journalist for TV stations including MDR, MTV and Deutsche Welle.
In 2008 he produced the soundtrack for the motion picture Berlin Calling with his brother Paul Kalkbrenner. Both appeared in the film. The track Sky and Sand was his breakthrough in the music business.
Unlike compositions by his brother, Paul, Fritz's music is warmer - his cold electro-beats are influenced by warm soul-sounds and is a distinguishing characteristic from other electronic artists. His real breakthrough came with the movie “Berlin Calling” and in particular the soundtrack: “Sky and Sand”, which Fritz and his brother produced together. Fritz himself has released one album: “Here Today Gone Tomorrow”.

I been warped by the rain, driven by the snow
I'm drunk and dirty, don't you know
But I'm still willin'
Out on the road late last night
I'd see my pretty Alice in every headlight
Alice, Dallas Alice
And I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonopah
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
Driven the backroads so I wouldn't get weighed
And if you give me weed, whites and wine
And you show me a sign
And I'll be willin' to be movin'
And I've been kicked by the wind, robbed by the sleet
Had my head stove in but I'm still on my feet
And I'm still willin'
And I smuggled some smokes and folks from Mexico
Baked by the sun every time I go to Mexico
Ah but I'm still...
And I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonopah
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
Driven the backroads so I wouldn't get weighed
And if you give me weed, whites and wine
And you show me a sign
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
There were times I betrayed what was sacred to myself and lost.
Over lines I'm ashamed of the things that I had done and crossed.
I was so fast to run when doubt had come
So fast to run, so fast to run.
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
So many times when I gave I was faking and I felt so lone.
I'm a munster, I´m an adict, I'm a danger to myself, I know.
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
Can we take another round?
Can we take another round of love..
Without the guns?
Can we take another round?
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
I'm willing to listen
I'm willing to say
I'm willing to try or throw it all away
Do we throw it all behind?
Throw it
On a dime life can change
Everything that you once loved you've lost
I'll tell you why I'm afraid with the symptoms
I've been making up
We didn't know
We didn't know
We want love
We want love
Willing and now
Willing and now
We want love
We want love
Can we take another round?
can we take another round of love..
Without the gun?
I wake with the wings of morning
To the light of a new day
Now my eyes are open
Through the darkest times
I find you
I find you always
Cover me
With your hands
Make me see
All I am
Though I fall
I'm willing
I could break
Fall back into sorrow
Give me life
Make my faith much stronger
Now my eyes are open
Now I feel I'm lost
I find a way
I find a way
I find a way to you
Cover me
With your hands
Make me see
All I am
Though I fall
I'm willing
This is the now
No longer will I wait my time
Can't lose faith
There'll be days of grace
I'd give it all
I'd give it all
To see redemption reign
Cover me
With your hands
Make me see
All I am
Though I stumble
Though I stumble
