The Hui people (Chinese: 回族; pinyin: Huízú, Xiao'erjing: حُوِ ذَو / حواري) are a predominantly Muslim ethnic group in China. Hui people are found throughout the country, though they are concentrated mainly in the provinces of Ningxia, Qinghai, and Gansu. According to a 2000 census, China is home to approximately 9.8 million Hui people, the majority of whom are Chinese-speaking practitioners of Islam, though some practice other religions. Although many Hui people are ethnically similar to Han Chinese, the group has retained some Persian and Central Asian features, their ethnicity and culture having been shaped profoundly by their position along the Silk Road trading route.
In the People's Republic of China, the Hui people are one of 56 officially recognized ethnic groups. Under this definition, the Hui people are defined to include all historically Muslim communities in People's Republic of China that are not included in China's other ethnic groups. Since China's Muslims speaking various Turkic, Mongolic, or Iranian languages are all included into those other groups (e.g., Uyghurs, Dongxiang, or Tajiks) the "officially recognized" Hui ethnic group consists predominantly of Chinese speakers. In fact, the "Hui nationality" is unique among China's officially recognized ethnic minorities in that it does not have any particular non-Chinese language associated with it.
The Hakka (Hakka: Hak-kâ; Chinese: 客家; pinyin: Kèjiā), sometimes Hakka Han, are Han Chinese who speak the Hakka language and have links to the provincial areas of Guangdong, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Sichuan, Hunan and Fujian in China.
The Chinese characters for Hakka (客家) literally means "guest families". The Hakka's ancestors were often said to have arrived from what is today's central China centuries ago. In a series of migrations, the Hakkas moved, settled in their present locations in southern China, and then often migrated overseas to various countries throughout the world. The worldwide population of Hakkas is about 80 million, though the number of Hakka-language speakers is fewer. Hakka people have had a significant influence on the course of Chinese and world history: in particular, they have been a source of many revolutionary, government, and military leaders.
Lee Teng-hui (traditional Chinese: 李登輝; simplified Chinese: 李登辉; pinyin: Lǐ Dēnghuī; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lí Teng-hui; born 15 January 1923) is a politician of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan). He was the President of the Republic of China and Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT) from 1988 to 2000. He presided over major advancements in democratic reforms including his own re-election which marked the first direct presidential election for the Republic of China. The first native Taiwanese to become ROC president and KMT chairman, Lee promoted the Taiwanese localization movement and led an aggressive foreign policy to gain diplomatic allies. Critics accused him of betraying the party he headed, secret support of Taiwanese independence, and involvement in corruption (black gold politics).
After leaving office Lee was expelled from the KMT for his role in founding the pro-independence Taiwan Solidarity Union (TSU), which forms part of the Pan-Green Coalition alongside Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party. (Lee is considered the "spiritual leader" of the TSU.) Lee has been outspoken in support for Taiwanese independence though not necessarily a formal declaration.
Su Hui (born 23 March 1982 in Xi'an, Shaanxi) is a male Chinese rower, who will compete for Team China at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
SS501 (pronounced as Double-S Five-Oh-One or Deo Beul E Seu Oh Gong Il, Hangul: 더블에스오공일) is a South Korean boy band formed under the management of DSP Media, formerly known as Daesung Entertainment and DSP Entertainment. The group debut in 2005 with five members: Kim Hyun Joong, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Jun.
The name of the band is a combination of letters and numbers that have special meaning. The first “S” stands for “Superstar". The second “S” is an abbreviation for "Singer". The combination of 5, 0, and 1 symbolizes "five members united as one forever". SS501's official fan club name is Triple S (means SSS : Super Star Supporters).
As of June 2010, upon the expiration of group's contract with DSP Media, all the members have subsequently moved to other management companies, to pursue solo careers, but Kim Hyun Joong, the leader, has stated that they have not disbanded.
SS501 debuted on June 8, 2005 with their first single "Kyeonggo" (Korean: "경고", "Warning"); a second single, "Snow Prince", was released in late 2005. The group was inactive in Korea for most of 2006, although they had a fan meeting in Japan in April of that year. The reason was due to Heo Young Saeng's throat condition, which required a surgery, thus resulting in a need for time to fully recover. In mid-2006, they held their first successful concert, "Step Up Concert" in Osaka, Japan. In late 2006, they returned to Korea in order to promote their first full album, which was released on November 10 and was entitled S.T.01 Now. Singles from the album included "Unlock" and "Four Chance". Alongside promoting the album on various variety and music shows, they also filmed a show on MNet, which was called SOS. The group (excepting Heo Young Saeng, who was recovering from the sugery) also lent their voices for the 2006 animated movie Pi's Story.

Riding on an eastbound freight train, speeding through the night,
hobo bill, the railroad bum, was a-fighting for his life.
As the train sped through the darkness, with raging storm outside,
hobo bill, the railroad bum, was taking his last ride.
The sadness of his eyes revealed the torture of his soul,
as he raised a weak and weary hand to brush away the cold.
Outside the rain was a-pouring on that lonely boxcar door,
and the little form of hobo bill lay still upon the floor.
He heard the whistle blowing in a dreamy sort of way,
the hobo seemed contented, for he smiled there where he lay.
It was early in the morning when they raised the hobo's head,
and the smile still lingered on his face, but hobo bill was dead.
There was no mother's longing to think of his weary soul,
Ishq Mohbbat Pyaar Ki Baatein
Bekaar Ki Baatein
Jhoothe Hai Saare Vaadein
Rasmein Na Jaane
Kasmein Na Maane
Kar Woh Jo Thaane
Hum To Begde Sehjaade
[Hey Babyy Je Le De Is Pal Ko
Hey Babyy Kal Ki Sochenge Kal Ko]2
Aaja Yahan Mere Sang Aake Zara Jhoom Le Jaanejaa
Yun Na Jala Hoothon Se Hoothon Ko Zara Chumm Le Jaanejaa
Ho Armaano Ki In Raaton Mein
Aag Lagi Hai Mere Jazbaaton Mein
Mujhko Na Eshe Tadpaa
Ishq Mohbbat Pyaar Ki Baatein
Bekaar Ki Baatein
Jhoothe Hai Saare Vaadein
Rasmein Na Jaane
Kasmein Na Maane
