Rudi Gunn: [Dirk wants Al to pull a "Panama"] What's a Panama?::Al Giordino: It's a Navy thing.::Rudi Gunn: I didn't know you were in Panama.::Al Giordino: We weren't in Panama, we were in Nicaragua.::Rudi Gunn: So why do you call it a Panama?::Al Giordino: Because we thought we were in Panama!
Al Giordino: [after going outside and being shot at] Next time, *you* go!::Dirk Pitt: What the hell took you so long?::Al Giordino: What? I stopped for coffee.::Dirk Pitt: Get a receipt?::Al Giordino: Yeah, I got a receipt, and I got you one, too!::Dirk Pitt: You're the best, Al!::Al Giordino: You know what? I'll even get you the money from Sandecker!

Dirk Pitt: Hey, Al. Do remember that time when we were in Morocco?::Al Giordino: Ya, when you made me ride that damn camel, that bit my ass.::Dirk Pitt: Yeah, that's the time.::Al Giordino: [pauses, confused] Why?
Rudi Gunn: [answers the phone] Uh... Hello, Admiral, you still there? I shot a guy with a flare gun.::Admiral James Sandecker: [on the phone] What? You shot a guy with a flare gun? Who?::[no answer]
Admiral James Sandecker: [sees Rudi on a couch] Rudi?::Rudi Gunn: [sits up] Admiral, I have news about your boat. Boom.::[makes a hand gesture that implies blowing up]
Al Giordino: Man, the Admiral's gonna be mad when he hears you lost his satellite phone.::Dirk Pitt: Not as mad as when Rudi tells him it was attached to the boat.
Al Giordino: Hi! How are ya?
Admiral James Sandecker: [after his boat has been shot up] [over the phone] Don't you hurt my boat.
Rudi Gunn: [after they pulled a Panama] Is that how it worked the first time?::Dirk Pitt: Well, it didn't really work the first time.
An imam (Arabic: إمام, plural: أئمة A'immah; Persian: امام) is an Islamic leadership position, often the worship leader of a mosque and the Muslim community. Similar to spiritual leaders, the imam is the one who leads Islamic worship services. More often, the community turns to the mosque imam if they have a religious question. In smaller communities, an imam could also be the community leader however most Imams are there for religious guidance.
The Sunni branch of Islam does not have imams in the same sense as the Shi'a. In every day terms, the imam for Sunni Muslims is the one who leads congregational Islamic worship and prayers, and the Friday sermon is most often given by an appointed imam.
The term is also used:
for a recognized religious scholar or authority in Islam, often for the founding scholars of the four Sunni madhhabs, or schools of jurisprudence (fiqh). It may also refer to the Muslim scholars who created the analytical sciences related to Hadith or it may refer to the heads of the Prophet Muhammad's family in their generational times.
Anjem Choudary (Urdu: انجم چودری; born 1967 in England) is a British former solicitor, and, before it was proscribed, spokesman for the Islamist group Islam4UK. He is married, has four children, and lives in Ilford, London.
Choudary studied medicine at the University of Southampton before switching to law. He became a solicitor, and chairman of the Society of Muslim Lawyers. He later met Omar Bakri Muhammad, and the two helped form the Islamist organisation, al-Muhajiroun. The group organised several anti-Western demonstrations, including a banned protest march in London for which Choudary was summoned to appear in court. Al-Muhajiroun was a controversial organisation, which was later disbanded following the UK government's decision to ban it. Choudary was present at the launch of its intended successor, Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, and later helped form Al Ghurabaa, which was also banned, before he became the spokesman for Islam4UK.
Choudary is a vocal critic of the UK's involvement in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has praised the terrorists involved in the attacks of 11 September 2001, and 7 July 2005. He believes in the implementation of Sharia Law throughout the UK, and marched in protest at the Jyllands-Posten cartoons controversy, following which he was prosecuted for organising an unlawful demonstration. He was also investigated, but not charged, for his 2006 comments regarding Pope Benedict XVI. Choudary receives little support from the mainstream UK Muslim population and has been largely criticised in the media.
Günther Johannes Jauch (German pronunciation: [ˈɡʏntɐ joˈhanəs ˈjaʊx]; born 13 July 1956) is a German television host. He is a member of the Hamburg Jauch family, but currently lives in Potsdam, Brandenburg with his wife Thea (Dorothea) Jauch and his four children.
Jauch was born in Münster. After 18 years of common-law marriage, he married Thea in 2006 without permitting the press to photograph the wedding. A photo that circulated in the tabloid media (which had not much detail) was published by BILD. The newspaper was fined € 200,000 for the abuse of personal rights. He married in the Orangerie at Schloss Sanssouci in Potsdam.
Jauch is known for a unique style of informing and entertaining people that is generally considered witty and funny; he won several awards for his appearances in German television. Jauch also owns the production company "i&u TV", which stands for Information und Unterhaltung ("information and entertainment"). He is known to make large donations from money he receives from his appearances in advertisements and other promotional work.
Abdullah al-Mahdi Billah (r. 909-934) (Arabic: عبد الله بن الحسين بن أحمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن اسماعيل بن جعفر المهدي), often referred to as Ubayd Allah, is the founder of the Fatimid dynasty, the only major Shi'a caliphate in Islam, and established Fatimid rule throughout much of North Africa.
At the beginning of the Abbasid realm in Baghdad, the Alids faced severe persecution by the ruling party as they were a direct threat to the Abbasid Caliphate. Owing to the political complexities, the forefathers of Imam Abdullah opted to conceal themselves which helped them secure the Dawa's existence. Subsequently, these Imams traveled long and far towards the Iranian Plateau and distanced themselves from the epicenter of the political scenario. Al Mahdi's father, Imam al Husain al Mastoor returned in secrecy to Syria and began to control the Dawa's affairs from there in complete concealment. He sent two Dai's of great calibre, abul Qasim and Abu 'Abdullah Al-Husayn Al-Shi'i to Yemen and Western Africa respectively to build the foundation for what was to be the Fatimid Caliphate.
Geert Wilders (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣɪːrt ˈʋɪldərs] or [ˈʝɪːrt ˈβ̞ɪldərs], born 6 September 1963) is a Dutch right-wing politician and the founder and leader of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid – PVV), the third-largest political party in the Netherlands. Wilders is the Parliamentary group leader of his party in the Dutch House of Representatives. In the formation in 2010 of the current Rutte cabinet, a minority cabinet of VVD and CDA, he actively participated in the negotiations, resulting in a "support agreement" (gedoogakkoord) between the PVV and these parties, but withdrew his support in April 2012, citing disagreements with the cabinet on proposed budget cuts. Wilders is best known for his criticism of Islam, summing up his views by saying, "I don't hate Muslims, I hate Islam". Wilders' views regarding Islam have made him a deeply divisive figure in the Netherlands and abroad.
Raised a Roman Catholic, Wilders left the church at his coming of age. His travels to Israel as a young adult, as well as to neighbouring Arab countries, helped form his political views. Wilders worked as a speechwriter for the conservative-liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie – VVD), and later served as parliamentary assistant to party leader Frits Bolkestein from 1990 to 1998. He was elected to the Utrecht city council in 1996, and later to the House of Representatives. Citing irreconcilable differences over the party's position on the accession of Turkey to the European Union, he left the VVD in 2004 to form his own party, the Party for Freedom.

You Am I - Trainspottin'
==========================
You can haul my ass with a word from any line you took.
from a laugh or any microphone you shook.
You turned my head from a rock into a burning bush.
With a chord, call, or Leon tape you'd push.
Yeah, yeah.
Anyway we split the bill
you couldn't leave us ever standing still
Anyhow we try to forget
We'd can still remember the date they met
Every aside is better than one of my jokes.
Would you die, if I ever called you out my folks?
And how long can we talk about Mick and Keith
"Bayou Country" or "Exile On Main Street"?
Ooh could you still remember?
Saw the sun come up again.
Last week's papers and a pack of darts
That got me through 'til ten.
The ten fifteen's five minutes late.
I really should just get out more these days.
Next door is coughing up his lungs.
Two A.M. I'm sure she said
She's gonna get herself a gun.
I blacked out from three to five.
You should hear what's going on outside.
As the morning bread goes hard
On the corner shop they're waiting
Just for rush hour to start.
And I'm wondering why his kids are late
I really should just get out more these days.
Days, and each one shows
there's so much I'll never know
If I don't ever get
If I never get home, home.
And old Ryan's still his rust
And Tuesday comes and goes
Like any late night bus.
I could do a lot more with my time
You thought you'd never hear
A voice that cracked so clear
Thought you'd never see
A head that slept for three
Every dream that thrills you up
Smells like poison in your cup
And every dream that thrills you up
Now smells like poison in your cup
A drink never meant so much
You can put it all down to luck
Sleeps the only friend
You can grab on 'til the end
The now the voice and touch that used to thrill you up
Tears your lip just like a chip in a cup
And the feel that made you forget the rest
You couldn't have took it any harder
You couldn't have put it anymore sweet
But every bone of yours for picking
Is every bone they picked of meat
Now you're loaded, lonely and on her mind
Now you're loaded, bloated, but it's only 'til next time
When every cut on the wall becomes a curse
Cut yourself real deep before they get in first.
Take each good word like a crucifx
You gave up the dte for a mouth of dirt.
Now you're loaded, lonely and on her mind
Now you're loaded, bloated, but it's only 'til next time
You scare me blind
Can't help but take each day as another call
To arms in the hero victim's cause
And every bone you left out for picking
Is gonna stick in the throat of everyone that you never called.
It's only, loaded on her mind
It's only, loaded but it's only 'til next time
When you know what you want, the winds at your back yeah, and time's your friend, it'll push you out like tide, drag you in and kiss you at the end, when you know what you want, you keep your head up yeah, you look at the sun, you stopp hiding beneath fringes he who just lingers on and on, just keep that voice on your shoulder, that steers you out of the corners, that night won't swallow you up, when you know, when you know what you want,
When your mind's made up, you wake up with the junk yeah, your shoulders can drop, you out run the demons, the cramps you just leave them, choking in your dust, and when you fall down exhausted you sleep you don't force the day to cave in, sleep is there to hug ya, caress and to drug ya, on it you can depend, so keep that voice on your shoulder, that steers you out of the corners, that night won't swallow you up, when you know, when you know what you want,
When you know what you want, the winds at your back yeah, and time's your friend, it'll push you out like tide, drag you in and kiss you at the end, when you know what you want, you keep your head up yeah, you look at the sun, you stopp hiding beneath fringes he who just lingers on and on, just keep that voice on your shoulder, that steers you out of the corners, that night won't swallow you up, when you know, when you know what you want,
You drive me to drink
But I'm in for the whole trip I promise
You won't go out with the drunk on the road
Or use yer fork to search for the toast
Girl I ain't easy
And any ass could see
But I can't believe
Just watcha doin' to me
I'm falling this way and I
I'm stumbling over there but I
Can't believe watcha doin' to me
The sweetest sound yeah
To knock this lightweight down but I
I can't believe watcha doin to me
Shake my trunk
And I wake like from a three day drunk
As my branches hit the ground
I'm finally comin around
Bury me deep in my
Oh my wedding shoes
Lay me flash
Just fifty bucks cash it's the
One day I never wanna lose
I'm falling this way and I
I'm stumbling over there but I
Can't believe watcha doin' to me
The sweetest sound yeah
To knock this lightweight down but I
I can't believe watcha doin to me
I'm falling this way and I
I'm stumbling over there but I
Can't believe watcha doin' to me
The sweetest sound yeah
To knock this lightweight down but I
I can't believe watcha doin to me
I never felt so jealous or felt so alive
I feel like I could run
I feel like I could die
I can't believe watcha doin' to me
I shuffle 'round the earth like a ping pong
To find something just to hang my hat on
And somewhere just to let my pants get dry
Heard a trucker on a pay phone gas mall
Sort his deal out with a twenty five cent call
Shooting through before his see through coffee went cold
And it sure did seem a good deal to me
But my head's too soaked in Brilliantine
So just take me out, alright
I've brushed over stations and channels
And combed the town, corduroy and flannel
Only know who you are when you move
And who you're with when you're alone
That's all I know
And it sure did seem a good deal to me
But my head's too soaked in Brilliantine
So just take me out, alright
And top of the morn and slip of the day
Just don't sleep good since I been away
So here's to you, alright
I think I've figured out a way to get by
I'll leave your bran sitting on a shelf
I think I figured out a cracking good way to get by
So kick me out, I'm going west, bye-bye
And it sure did seem a good deal to me
But my head's too soaked in Brilliantine
So just take me out, alright
And top of the morn and slip of the day
Just don't sleep good since I been away
So here's to you, alright
Walk stupid, like an expectant dad
Waiting for your hand like I'm waiting for Skylab

You Am I - Wally Raffles
==========================
Walter quit the RAF
When there was no good air left.
Made it back to the clan.
The dog, the wife, the betting slip wet in his hand.
And no one's listening.
To the boys
Tim, Jaimme and Gab.
Keeping him up while his mistress rings his hands.
Picked him up after school
Just make sure you're looking good.
And no one's leaving.
Walter plays.
Get off your knees.
Walter plays.
Get off your knees.
It's mini coke and prawns again
In his room or on the sand.
Not a day before he fell
Propping up the bar at the Raffle's hotel.
And no one' leaving.
Walter plays
Get off your knees.
Give the kids a hand
Down on the sand.
No one's listening.
Walter plays
Get off your knees.
Give the kids a hand

You Am I - Sound As Ever
==========================
I can read your degree and now give me my medicine
Cause every drink is a poison and I think I'm Judas Christ again
She's got a feeling its a sound I'm faking
I got a feeling each corner's an ending
Each minute is a dollar you can pay back your parents with
I got a brand new vein you can tap on in and since
now that you've got the power of mercy
And the chance to figure out just where I've been lately
Now that you've got a sniff of pharmaceutic
That can kill anything in my head that's electric
and I'm alone with sound
Now that you've got the power prescription
Please make me interesting
When I'm all done with sound
Read my mind
Cause I won't give sign
She's got a feeling its a sound I'm faking
I got a feeling each corner's an ending
I've checked all the dailies
And subscription mail ins
But where do we come from?
You never stopped dusting
My middle ear's always buzzing.
Where do we belong?
Trust me not 'cause I still don't know.
We're not in someone else's
Someone else's home.
Do you really want to exist
Past 1946
Or have I got you wrong?
When nothing much matters
But shoes, pants and haircuts.
The morning engines go.
Heaven's toast, like the sound they told.
We're not in someone else's
Someone else's home.
We're gonna run away, make your heart my own.
And if we're not hot at least we're not
In someone else's home.
Subscription filled the yellow pills.
We're not in someone else's
Someone else's home.
We're gonna run away, make your heart my own.
And if we're not hot at least we're not
Around the corner every morning just to see you get across,
The civic fathers divide us up into cats and dogs,
The seargent major of the neighbourhood is weighing up the cost,
The senior transit lane,
While we're standing in the rain,
Worried if our heads will fall,
Alright, right,
We'll stay together 'til the kids die just to keep it clean,
Buy the weapons with the sales made from garden magazines,
Strike up the ladies to bake tea cakes for the council's war machine,
And we're digging up the roads,
And widening it just so,
You can suffocate at home,
Alright, right,
The Prince of Wales tea,
To keep the garden green,
but they don't want to be there,
The shit can't be there,
You woke me up just to check that I'm alive,
We talk to each other as if we're five,
Raise open the flag just to see which of us cares,
And we're digging up the roads,
And widening it just so,
You can suffocate at home,
Alright, right,
Alright,
Alright,
Alright,
I'm sure could make your hand fit mine(woo, woo)
if I deliver these custard trays on time.(woo, woo)
Four thirty a.m. ding dong rise.(woo, woo)
Kiss her photo with the beam from ash tray light.(woo, woo)
I'm sure I could deliver better
if I pretended I'd never met her.
She said she'd love me sweeter
if we made it to the pier for dinner.
Seven months in a ditch while the ring kept for her to decide (woo, woo)
If my milk truck's gonna be her chariot ride.(woo, woo)
Four thirty a.m. ding dong rise.(woo, woo)
Morning sun makes my sour heart pasteurise.(woo, woo)
I'm sure I could deliver better
if I pretended I'd never met her.
she said she'd love me sweeter
if we made it to the pier for dinner.
Welsh rarebit with a new dress on.
If that ain't enough to make you smile.
Every Kinteil road kid knows
When she's around then cheese goes dry.
Get the lead on out 'coz it's my round
And I punched the van 'coz I lost the sound
And then I fell on down, oh yeah
I ain't old enough to have walked the line
But I've circled this room for the twenty fifth time
For a fortunate son I'm such a jealous guy
Got a bone to pick I dunno why
A bottle o' wine and Patsy Cline
But what would I do with a satisfied mind
Hey hey yours for ten
I fell on down I'm gonna do it again
What I gave away and what I left behind
Swallowed history like a five an' dine
And then I fell on down oh yeah
Y'all knew the guy he was the king of the kids
Threw his trophies to the sky as he jumped from the bridge yeah
For a fortunate son I'm such a jealous guy
Got a bone to pick I dunno why
A bottle o' wine and Patsy Cline
But what would I do with a satisfied mind
Hey hey yours for ten
I fell on down I'm gonna do it again
And if you're looking for the guy who can see
With some of these damn apologies
A bottle o' wine and Patsy Cline
But what would I do with a satisfied mind
Hey hey yours for ten
I fell on down I'm gonna do it again
Hey hey your foot down
I fell on down I'm gonna do it again
Hey hey get on up
I fell on down I'm gonna do it again
A bottle o' wine and Patsy Cline
But what would I do with a satisfied mind
Oh yeah

You Am I - Dead Letter Chorus
===============================
Everyone talks fast and walks so slow.
Suddenly in a town they don't know.
Last stop and strangers drink
and admitting me in the midnight show and
Two kids sweat
as he's trying to get his lips to her neck.
It's all up to him, it's a concession film
But what do you do?
Where have I been lately?
Dirty water interrupted by
a bridge that's not too sore on the eye.
Guy in the better looking pants
is ruining the other's night and
Will he hurt
as the air conditioning draws out the shirt.
It's all up to him, it's a concession film.
But what do you do?
Where have I been lately?
It's if nothing I said knows new.
It's if you've never heard anything true.
but we will try 'til the next time or the last time.
Everyone talks fast and walks so slow
Suddenly in a town they don't know.
Hours come and minutes fly
the fifteen stories window high and
Two kids sweet
as he tries to stare his shame to his feet.
'cause you owe it to him, it's a concession film.
But what do you do?
Where have I been lately?
It's if nothing I said knows new.
It's if you've never heard anything true.

You Am I - Rosedale
=====================
That's the two we are you and me.
I can't make you talk, I'll make you see
Us and them just can't agree.
We can't write the songs we want
to make it up to eachother
So we'll just take it out on our brothers.
I'll see you 'round the world.
See you 'round the world.
Make your mother proud, yeah.
Never a blemish on your face
Skinniest guy I could never replace.
We'll drag another round, yeah.
And create another problem
And spill it out on our favourite album.
Is it be cool if I grab a little of your time?
I feel my heart over crowded
Steal everything you say and make it mine.
If my head would allow it
Never trust anybody with a clear face.
Shouldn't have to shout it
Your the enemy I know I'd never replace.

You Am I - She Digs Her
=========================
Your eyes hit a gilded window
when the Housewives Journal, started closing every door
The wind's so strong and you decided
that you just don't want to be carried with it anymore
"Oh my god" the neighbours
just can't put a word to it never seen to write or call
Greetings to the sister
as you're strutting through your suburb watching ladies trip and fall
She came when he left, never thought it was a big decision
Gave up on lives that revolve around car ignition
Hey did you ever get the feeling everything is working out okay?
Sunday afternoon sure used to sting until
the drinks kick in at ten
But now you've joined a collective
surely nothing ordinary kicking up a storm again
"Oh my god" the neighbours
just can't put a word to it never seen to write or call
Greetings to the sister
as you're strutting through your suburb watching ladies trip and fall
Came when he left, never thought it was a big decision
Gave up on lives that revolve around beer and fishing
All of our friends keep saying we should be more social
Cuz we keep to ourselves most of the time
They just don't understand what we got going on
Cause a love like this is so hard to find
Don't wanna live by no one else's designs
Though every day ain't glamorous
To me it's just fine
Unperfect the way that we are... oh
Nothing ordinary bout the way I feel
Nothing un-extraordinary this is real
Don't need to reach for the stars
Happy here on earth
In our beautiful ordinary life
I love my beautiful ordinary life
With you
Why don't we spend the day
Doing a lot of nothing
Cuz anything s alright, long as I'm with you baby
We don't need special plans, don't need no reservations
Cuz my favorite place is right here with you
Don't wanna live my life any other way
Cuz baby it's the simple things that can't be replaced
Unperfect the way that we are... oh
Nothing ordinary bout the way I feel
Nothing un-extraordinary this is real
Don't need to reach for the stars
Happy here on earth
In our beautiful ordinary life
I love my beautiful ordinary life
With you
Like watching you sleep
The way that you paint your toes
The crazy way we, count to three before we hang up the phone
See the life that I live, is so much better girl when you're here with me
Nothing ordinary bout the way I feel
Nothing un-extraordinary this is real
Don't need to reach for the stars
Happy here on earth
In our beautiful ordinary life
I love my beautiful ordinary life
At my nan's I wasn't thinking
Over boiled beans and chicken
Something cool fell in my juice cup
Sudden I could lie and make stuff up
Is that why
My future's so bright?
So strap in and go
The backyard rock show
When all city folk got southern
Paint my face up with my brother
Uncle choked and started shaking
Over whiskey, eggs and bacon
Is that why
Our nights look so bright?
So strap in and go
Walks like a crooked tooth
And sleeps with a dexedrine smile
Keeps finding the holes where old memory can go
And wash it down liquefied
Keep that old door swinging
Coz you can be the freeloader
When it's closing time
When it's closing time
Watcha gonna do it's nothing to see
But something's got ya down on your knees
I'm crawling through the dirt to see where it hurts
And it ain't falling down by degrees
I think I'm gonna die
From trying to kick a hole in the sky
Yer walls are plastered with ham-fist drunks
And fagans wrapped in denim and smoke
So tell me what chance did you happen to dance
With the step that kicked yer feet in the boat
Loose band on the radio
All static and clashin' a hob-nailed hint
You're never losing ground
It's just the way it sounds
Watcha gonna do it's nothing to see
But something's got ya down on your knees
I'm crawling through the dirt to see where it hurts
And it ain't falling down by degrees
I think I'm gonna die
From trying to kick a hole in the sky
Trying to kick a hole in the sky
Trying to kick a hole in the sky
You cover me like the sunshine kisses the day
But a pulse starts in my gut now
And it's gonna make us pay
Watcha gonna do it's nothing to see
But something's got ya down on your knees
I'm crawling through the dirt to see where it hurts
And it ain't falling down by degrees
I think I'm gonna die
From trying to kick a hole in the sky
Trying to kick a hole in the sky
Trying to kick a hole in the sky
The train came behind him like a shot from a gun in yer sleep
And just for a second he forgot what to do with his feet
The photo creases dug in to his chest 'til they cut
And sweet Lily Langtry whispered his name through the dust
So it's out with the older one and in with the new
Here comes the judge in somebody else's shoes
Ah here comes the judge in somebody else's shoes
Champagne heels are gonna dig a golden hole in the dirt
So keep your guns in your jackets I'm sending you out with a curse
Keeping the law from the Pecos to the Rio Grande
And sweet Lily Langtry whispered his name through the sand
So it's out with the older one and in with the new
Here comes the judge in somebody else's shoes
Ah here comes the judge in somebody else's shoes
He heard her name call
As the Texas wind blows
From ten thousand miles away
To the cactus that frames her face
So it's out with the older one and in with the new
Here comes the judge in somebody else's shoes
Would it stain
If the lights fell down on your name
And each face began to look all the same
How much is enough?
Did you ever want to just lose touch with everybody you know?
In the morning
When you've wiped his taste away
The last of the red and all the records you played
How much is enough?
Did you ever want to just lose touch with everybody who heard?
Did you ever want to join a collective
Throw a party just to make sure you missed it?
Did you ever want to be a collective?
Would you sell out
To the dealer with the lowest cost
And burn every proscenium floor
How much is enough?
Did you ever want to get in touch with somebody you hurt?
Offered up some kind of collective
So you can never ever be left selected
Did you ever want to be a collective?
If the lights, they fell
Do you think you could tell
Don't let there be
Something sour in my coffee.
There's fourteen year olds
Screaming get out of my country.
I won't let him rise just to say goodbye.
Hourly, daily.
The August cold
brings something bad in its sock drawer.
There's too much hate
covering up those once white walls.
I don't want my boy thinking I'm only to avoid.
Tread safe hourly, daily.
He's the splitting image and the oldest of two.
Now what kind of mess have you gone and gotten yourself into?
Make a morning pledge
To the heart of the city quiet.
Pray the daybreak sun
Can fill up the halls of a sleepless night.
Bring one good face into this house today.
Hourly, daily.
He's the splitting image and the oldest of two.
Been watching so much TV
I'm thinner than I should be
I'm like a waterlogged ball
That no one wants to kick around anymore
An all day morning hairdo
That no comb can get through
It's all granola and beer
A calling card and a silk cut souvenir
I miss you like sleep
And there's nothing romantic about the hours I keep
The morning when it starts
I don't look so good
Now I got a heavy heart
I talk a lot about football
And girls I kissed in grade 4
I piss off my friends and digging a hole
Just staring at the floor
Now every t-shirt's got a wine stain
I'm loving cigarettes again
I know every tune about guys and girls
And hurts and hearts and moans
I miss you like sleep
And there's nothing romantic about the hours I keep
The morning when it starts
I don't look so sharp
Now I got a heavy heart
It's just a low rent paying
Palpitating pulp under my shirt
But there's a weight that's sitting
Oh, God it hurts, oh, God it hurts
Been watching so much TV
I'm thinner than I should be
I'm like a waterlogged ball
That no one wants to kick around anymore
I miss you like sleep
And there's nothing romantic about the hours I keep
The morning when it starts
Did you catch her in the window?
Do I run or do I mend.
Praying for heavy comfort
To fill his pockets with his hands.
Men in chip shops, milk bars, postmen
Used to fork out for your mouth.
And now the compliments have stopped
Since every asset's headed south.
He was a sharp one what a looker.
The last drunk to hang around.
Get well she could colour knickers
Just for the mirror now.
Had a dream once it was morning
In a dress that never frayed.
And now your friends are like eyelashes
Too many dropping off these days.
For forty seconds today
I was sure that we were feeling the same way.
For forty seconds today
Been living underwater but I sure dug the sea
But no-one could hear me out when I leant back to scream
Coming through the shelves to live in the dirt
To keep from the sun, to keep from getting hurt
Gettin' gone
You got a lot to learn
Ahh got a lot to learn from getting
Gone gone gone
Been feeding on contributions from the folks on the bridge
Throw the scraps on out when they need a trip
So I flap my tail and give a high-pitched squeak
Just so they could leave me in between the rocks to sleep
Gettin' gone
I wasted so much time that I
Oh wouldn't swap the line of getting
Gone gone gone
You got a lot to learn
Ahh got a lot to learn from getting
Gone gone gone
I don't know where the sadness starts
'Coz I'm so happy I could die
Just give me long enough to live
Yeah an' it's only when I fly
I wasted so much time that I
Oh wouldn't swap the line of getting
Gone gone gone
You got a lot to learn
Ahh got a lot to learn from getting

You Am I - Handwasher
=======================
Never wanted more
From my local store
A chance to be by myself
Be on the right side of the shelf
But for every drink I serve
Sure wish I had callous nerve
Cause for every sandwich I know
There's a sack of shit to be dosed
Wash my hands in shame
4000 times a day
And when I make it on home
There's a smell that always stays
I know the regulars well
From every stale grill I sell
From bainmaries to cold tea
I'm the service that you need
There's a poison in my drink
It's gonna take each good thought I could think
There's a poison I know
Wash my hands in shame
4000 times a day
For while I service your greed
If half of what I'm saying, of what I'm saying is true
Will you rub my head, make it all shiny and new?
And you drag my coat tails, drag my coat tails down
and I'll be the only cold assed king around.
If you wait I'll give all my aches to you.
Take the chance, to ignore what you're going through?
My cold hand is there for you to take
(If you leave, can I fall down)
I'm your Berlin Chair, won't you lean on me 'til I break.
I'll ignore each golden, dragging kiss you can give.
On the blankest face that you ever had to forgive.
If you see my fallings, see my failings through.
I'm the re-run that you'll always force yourself to sit through.
If you wait I'll give all my aches to you.
Take the chance, to ignore what you're going through?
My cold hand is there for you to take
(If you leave, can I fall down)
I'm your Berlin Chair, won't you lean on me 'til I break.
Well you're too late. You're too late.
Hey you
Put your chewing gum in my fist
And pass the last over of your drink
I've known you long enough to know
Yeah I'm in deep and it shows
I met her on grand final day
And from sixteen thousand miles away
Yeah I knew
I was in trouble deep past me boots
You think it's so hard
Alone in the world
Yeah well just try keeping up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
So I strayed (keep your head in the sky)
Til my fingers all burnt in a sneeze (leaving nothing behind)
And I'm holding by the skin of my teeth
She got me grinning like a karaoke king
Without a clue on how the thing begins
And that's where the hell I'll reside
In between the width of her smile
So if you spy me just let it be
I'm far beyond what you knew of me
You think it's so hard
Alone in the world
Yeah well just try keeping up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
You're never alone
It's you against the world
You're the uninvited oyster next to the pearl
The best lesson I learned
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
Me, keep up with that beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
Keepin' up with a beautiful girl
I had that something from my head to my eye
Just as I made it to the front of the line.
I only seen them out in front of the rehab.
My buddy's check form is all blown to sag.
And just because I'm spoonfed on milo and cheese
Don't go shooting every dog just 'cause one of us got fleas.
And if you don't want to grow wear some
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes.
And I'm so sick of sickness yeah
Why do I write the songs so dickless yeah.
A just cause I'm too fat on cheap smokes and wine
I can't look over your fat shoulder and make rock 'n' roll mine.
Been hearing so much chitter chatter chitter chatter
And now I found something that matters, matters, matters, matters.
But if you don't want to grow wear some
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
Baby clothes
And if the bar is closed
Don't look at my waist 'cause the pants don't fit right.
I'm a dedicated follower of skin tight
As long as we don't eat everything will be fine.
I just want to look fascinating, snorting the diet pills I'm grating
As long as we throw up everything will be fine.
As long as we're emasciated
tastes outdated, yeah, everything will be fine.
Everytime I eat is a slate away from every photo that I emulate.
As long as my fingers fit everything will be fine.
Cheeks like a valley and ribs like grater
but just think of all that cash I'm saving.
As long as we throw up everything will be fine.
As long as we're emasciated
Taste out dated, yeah, everything will be fine.
It will be fine. It will be fine.
It's irregular and it sure won't pay
But say naught 'til you got something to say
So I live for forty minutes a day
Can I have that?
The biggest kick you ever got
Was paying out on dinosaur rock
And said with every prehistoric thought
You can stain
For every door that's been closed
There's another of your friends you can dose
While your brains seem to speak through your clothes
And for every handshake that'll pay
There's another motherfucker who'll complain
That to keep a legal dose is so lame
Are you stray?
Those born with gold with weary souls
Should eat their young and die
Don't you wish that your kids all looked more fine?
Do you feel that your guy's below your style?
Animal slippers and a drink over Sunday mail
Coffee teeth and a cigarette heart for sale
Any minute now something's gonna happen
Everything's falling 'cept the shit you fell in
Mailman, black umbrella, doesn't feel the need to tell ya
Sure have looked better and ego kissing fools
Are teaching your kids in private schools
Crack another bottle, it's five
Monday morning who could ask for more
Smoking buds, got your friends all 'round next door
Any minute now something's gonna happen
Everything's falling 'cept the shit you fell in
Mailman, black umbrella, doesn't feel the need to tell ya
Kudzu Cinderella, them ego kissing fools
Are teaching your kids in private schools
Grab a six pack for the way home
It's only twenty five minutes alone
At a chance to listen to what you see fit
Put your tail between your legs and you split
Was never one for luck
On a pay rise or a girl you got stuck
Never bother with FM radio
Pop a compilation tape and we'll go
But every dick that comes from the hills
Is gonna inundate you still
Never one to let something go
To make you hate or cuss at folks you don't know
As his girlfriend takes the last mushroom slice
You hope they never make their movie on time
Was never one for luck
On a pay rise or a girl you got stuck
Never bother with FM radio
Pop a compilation tape and we'll go
But every dick that comes from the hills
Is gonna inundate you still
Nineteen to twenty two
Just Nik, Jaimme, red wine and you
Into the Datsun and go
To another mass appeals show
Was never one for luck
On a pay rise or a girl you got stuck
Never bother with FM radio
Pop a compilation tape and we'll go
But every dick that comes from the hills
You've lived on beans and rice
And fell for Jesus Christ
And if your pants are nice
Mother Nature's son
Never made sense until you begun
To play the kids for fun
Maybe start a TV show
A service in day-glo
Watch your ethics grow
Mother Nature's kid
Just keep the money hid
As if you never did sell
Mother Nature's son
Never made sense until you begun
To play the kids for fun
You've never tasted hell
'Cause Judas signed you well
And if the story sells
Mother Nature's kid
Just keep the money hid
As if you never did sell
Mother Nature's son
Never made sense until you begun
The weightlifter and a library tech you know
Made a big decision in the magazine row
I'll open my catalog, just enough to let you in
And she'll drop beers like you drop vitamins
Did you ever, never, wanna let somebody down?
Was you ever thinking that you'd be Cathy's clown
Now she's around?
The protein pills and the G-strings you left in her flat
Are just enough to get your Dewey Decimal back
You lift her to work, just before your daily workout begins
And she'll stack up like you stack vitamins
Did you ever, never, wanna let somebody down?
Was you ever thinking that you'd be Cathy's clown
Wide eyes show white
White enough to shoot
But if you ain't got the strength to fight it
And you just can't hide it
And I ain't gonna open my eyes anymore
Ain't gonna open my eyes anymore
Pale faces burn
I would've thought by now we'd learn
But every fool still waits their turn in
The rotisseries turning
Well, I ain't gonna open my eyes anymore
I ain't gonna open my eyes anymore
ya know my three best friends were drummers yeah when i still had a face just like a pizza slice I knew my zildjians from my paradiddle plug straight into the stereo watch the damn thing blow
yeh orchy bottle bongs and rocket fuel, while leaves gather in the corner of the pool but now my words theyre drownin in the amber again its like explainin cricket to americans just tryin to get a hold the whole damn thing oh oh oh ooo
weekend experimentation (now you need laxidation) where did we all get the need for the daily medication? now my words theyre drownin in the liquor again its like explaining cricket to americans just tryin to get a hold of the whole damn thing oh oh oh oh ooo
Got a new haircut
It cost me just six bucks
Filled a plastic bag with stuff I need
In a big dumb car, I'm off my knees
Fill it up and start over again
Ooh, it's the rumble and moan
Transistor AM cassette drone
It's the sound without a home address
And hydromatic hopelessness
Fill it up and start over again
Yeah, fill it up and start over again and again
All night
R A D I O
Hit me hard and hit me low
Static engine blow the scene
A rumble in the old machine
R A D I O
Ah, hit me just like Lionel Rose
R A D I O
I heard stomach and soul
A rumble underneath my toes
And it didn't come with a clear face
Designer punk or daily rate
Fill it up and start over again
Yeah, fill it up and start over again and again
All night
R A D I O
Hit me hard and hit me low
Static engine blow the scene
A rumble in the old machine
R A D I O
R A D I O
A rumble in the old machine
Ronnie James D I O
Fell down like Bocephus under all the noise and grease
To get up the bond for an Inner West flat
He'd work for anybody if he wasn't working for her dad
She's practising saying 'I do' and 'I will'
Cause she don't know how to tell him that she's going off the pill
Her curtains are for certain that he'll talk about her ass
But she clings to his photo like a piece of broken glass
If we cant get it together today
She's looking for his heart while he stares the other way
His dad is a nut, his ex- girl is a slut
But he'll be yours forever
If you just get it together
If we cant get it together if we cant get it together
Is it ever gonna be just you and me?
So they met on Tuesday at the Town Hall steps
To get an 8" by 10" photo and a wedding date set
'we might as well do it next week,
cause we've met everybody that we're ever gonna meet'
His dad is a nut, his ex- girl is a slut
But he'll be yours forever
If you just get it together
If we cant get it together if we cant get it together
Is it ever gonna be just you and me?
470 to Circular Quay
With a present in your pocket from the TAB
If we cant get it together if we cant get it together
Is it ever gonna be just you and me?
Would you settle for a mobile home
Near a good record store and a public phone?

You Am I - Television Addict
==============================
I read the news the other day about a boy they threw away.
He went out and shot someone like some goddamn teleplay.
He claimed he was confused between fact and fantasy.
Seems he spent all his time in front of a TV screen
(and was a)television addict.
His lawyers said this boy was sick blaming ratings for his crime.
They said too much sex and too much violence on the idiot box blew up his idiot mind.
(he was a) television addict.
Watch it.
(he was a) television addict.
You and me we spend all our time in front of the window of the world.
And just because I watch Diner, sure doesn't mean I need a face lift
doesn't mean my brain has skipped. Doesn't mean anything.
There's more going on inside my mind than on any television screen.
(he was a) television addict.
Just because I watch Prisoner, Cop Shop, Fat Cat, Humphrey fucking B
Here it comes again
It's talking through the band
All the? you took
Is waiting out 'till then
Breathe
Life
You ask
Will pray
Scream
We're dead
You pay
I'll cry
Sell you're sure again
We're still in the band
Pride has gone to yours
Sucked your spinners yeah
Breathe
Life
You ask
Will pray
Scream
We're dead
You pay
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
Sugarman hasn't got a care
He's been traveling everywhere
Been on a voyage across the ocean
Heard the sweet sounds of wheels in motion
He's seen the hawk fly high to hail the setting sun
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
Sugarman hasn't got a care
He's been traveling everywhere
Seen all the people in the city
And the bright lights, they're awful pretty
He's followed dusty tracks into eternity
Eatin' sugar made in cuba
Tried to grow it in japan
On the west coast he's real famous
Kids all call him sugarman
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
Sugarman hasn't got a care
He's been traveling everywhere
Been on a voyage across the ocean
Heard the sweet sounds of wheels in motion
He's seen the hawk fly high to hail the setting sun
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
My friend jack eats sugarlumps
Sugarman hasn't got a care

You Am I - I Can Hear The Grass Grow
======================================
I see the people all in line, I'm thinking they look at me.
Can't imagine that their minds are thinking the same as me.
I can hear the grass grow.
I can hear the grass grow.
I see rainbows in the evening.
My head's attracted to a magnetic wave of sound.
Lead springs curly up girls are making their way around.
I can hear the grass grow.
I can hear the grass grow.
I see rainbows in the evening.
Can't seem to hold the mouth aside.
My senses follow with the skies
Yeah I won't do without my baby.
Yeah I need you to help now baby.
Yeah I won't do without now baby
Put your head down to the crowd and listen to your mind.
Think against the watch you found, I know that you're not my kind.
See the people all in line I'm thinking they look at me.
Can't imagine that their minds are thinking the same as me.
I can hear the grass grow.
I can hear the grass grow.

You Am I - She's So Fine
==========================
I woke up bright and early this morning, my little girl's not inside.
I've been searching everywhere, morning, noon and daylight, yeah.
Cos she's so fine, she's so fine, she's so fine.
She's so fine you know I wish she were mine.
I got something to tell her, maybe she'll listen maybe not.
I never loved another woman before cos all my love she's got.
Cos she's so fine, she's so fine, she's so fine.
She's so fine you know I wish she were mine.
One, two, three, six.
Cos she's so fine, she's so fine, she's so fine.

You Am I - Janie Jones
========================
by the Clash
He's in love with rock'n'roll world
He's in love with gettin' stoned world
He's in love with Janie Jones world
But he don't like his boring job, now
An' he knows what he's got to do
So he knows he's gonna have fun with you
An' he knows when the evening comes
When his job is done he'll be over in his car for you
You lucky lady!
An' in the in-tray lots of work
But the boss at the firm always thinks he shirks
But he's just like everyone, he's got a Ford Cortina
That just won't run without fuel
Fill her up, Jacko!
An' the invoice it don't quite fit,
There's no payola in his alphabetical file
This time he's gonna really tell the boss
Gonna really let him know exactly how he feels
It's pretty bad!
====================
You Am I - Goddamn
====================
Don't need to spoil your day
But I think if I ever get to see you today
I'm gonna rub you out
Can't remember every word you said
So we can't even matter
'Coz we'll only remember what's cut in lead
I was just trying to warn ya
In my head I'm thinking that wrong
Everything that the body can do
And when you find the strength to get off the floor
I'm gonna take every single one
Sent out on you
Just wanna spoil your night
'Coz three hundred miles of distance ain't nothing
That's not sitting right
I can't remember every punch you took
And the times I sent a lash to make sure
That you couldn't take a look
Everyone just kept on crying
When every ripple in blood and every heart in his mouth
Meant a life to get through
And when you find the strength to get off the floor
I'm gonna take every single one
Sent out on you
Come on
There's a club at the tender
'Coz you never can seem to remember
Every time I fell
Don't wanna rip your skin off
'Coz you just can't seem to get off
Watchin' me, the head ruler say
Let it rock
When you take you take me with you away
Ah when I fake I'll take me with you away
Take me with you away
Won't you fucking take me with you away
Take me with you away
=========================
You Am I - I'm So Tired
=========================
I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink
I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink
I wonder, should I get up and fix myself a drink?
No, no, no
I'm so tired, I don't know what to do
I'm so tired, my mind is set on you
I wonder, should I call you, but I know what you would do
You'd say I'm puttin' you on
But it's no joke, it's doin' me harm
You know, I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain
You know, it's three weeks, I'm goin' insane, you know,
I'd give you everything I've got for little piece of mind
I'm so tired, I'm feeling so upset
Although I'm so tired, I'll have another cigarette
And curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid get
You'd say I'm puttin' you on
But it's no joke, it's doin' me harm
You know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain
You know it's three weeks, I'm goin' insane, you know,
I'd give you everything I've got for little piece of mind
Give you everything I've got for little piece of mind

You Am I - Young Man Blues
============================
Well the young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
I said a young ain't got nothing in the world these days
You know in the old days when a young man was a strong man
All the people they stepped back when a young man walked by
But you know nowadays it's the old man whose got all the money
and the young man ain't got nothing in the world these days
In the old days every cunt like you stepped back
When a young, skinny, faggy looking guy walked by
Walked by. Walked...
They stepped back
These days if you're the young man you ain't got nothing in the world these days
You've got nothing, nothing

You Am I - Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You
==================================================
Throw my ticket out the window.
Throw my suitcase out there too.
I throw my troubles out the door
I don't need them anymore
for tonight I'll be staying here with you.
I should have left this town this morning
But it was more than I could do.
'Cause you're loving me so strong
And I've been waiting oh so long
For tonight, when I'll be staying here with you.
Is it really any wonder
The love a stranger can receive.
You cast your spell and I went under
That's why it's so difficult to leave.
I can hear that old train whistle blowing.
Can see that station master too.
If there's a poor boy on the street
Let him have my seat
'cause tonight I'll be staying here with you.
Throw my ticket out the window.
Throw my suitcase out there too.
I throw my troubles out the door
I don't need them anymore

You Am I - I'll Make You Happy
================================
I, I'll give, I'll give you, I'll give you love.
I'll give you loving all the time.
Give you kisses just like wine
Does his lips taste sweeter than mine?
I'll make you happy (just like your mamma wants)
I'll make you happy (just like your daddy said)
I'll make you happy just like your mamma said to me
If, if you, if you don't, if you don't think.
If you don't think i'm your man
Find somebody if you can
And get them to hold your hand, not me.
I'll make you happy (just like your mamma wants)
I'll make you happy (just like your daddy said)
I'll make you happy just like your mamma said to me
I, I'll give, I'll give you, I'll give you love.
I'll give you loving all the time.
Give you kisses just like wine
Does his lips taste sweeter than mine?
I'll make you happy (just like your mamma wants)
I'll make you happy (just like your daddy said)
