Herring
Herring are forage fish, mostly belonging to the family Clupeidae. They often move in large schools around fishing banks and near the coast. The most abundant and commercially important species belong to the genus Clupea, found particularly in shallow, temperate waters of the North Pacific and the North Atlantic oceans, including the Baltic Sea, as well as off the west coast of South America. Three species of Clupea are recognized, and provide about 90% of all herrings captured in fisheries. Most abundant of all is the Atlantic herring, providing over half of all herring capture.
Herring played a pivotal role in the history of marine fisheries in Europe, and early in the twentieth century their study was fundamental to evolution of fisheries science. These oily fish also have a long history as an important food fish, and are often salted, smoked, or pickled.
A number of different species, most belonging to the family Clupeidae, are commonly referred to as herrings. The origins of the term herring is somewhat unclear, though it may derive from the Old High German heri meaning a "host, multitude", in reference to the large schools they form.
Jimmy Herring is an American guitarist who is currently the lead guitarist in the band Widespread Panic. Herring is a founding member of Aquarium Rescue Unit and Jazz Is Dead. He has also played with The Allman Brothers Band, Project Z, Derek Trucks Band, and has enjoyed a long and successful tenure with Phil Lesh and Friends as well as The Dead.
Jimmy Herring was born on January 22, 1962, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the son of a high school English teacher, and a North Carolina Superior Court judge. The youngest of three brothers, Herring attended Terry Sanford Senior High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Although he played saxophone in the high school band, he quickly became known for his prodigious talent on guitar, which he had begun playing at age 13. Herring had a Telecaster guitar with a Stratocaster neck, in the same style as one of his biggest influences at the time, Steve Morse of the Dixie Dregs. He played with various groups through high school and junior high. One of his first performances was in Horace Sisk Junior High School. He played in the talent show in the 8th grade. The band played "Walking The Dog", and "Helter Skelter" by The Beatles. The first concert he went to was Alice Cooper. In high school he played with various fellow musicians, including bass players Corky Jones and Mike Logiovino, drummers Tom Pollock, John Sutton, and Bill Wiggs, guitarist Adam Ancherico, and keyboard players Steve Page and John Stonebraker. After high school he also formed the band Paradox with drummer John Sutton and bassist Mike Logiovino, which played local bars including the Cellar and Baby Blues. Paradox was a cover band that played mostly jazz fusion instrumentals, including songs by the Dixie Dregs, Al Di Meola and Chuck Mangione, and included a 3-piece horn section for which Herring did the arrangements.

Luke Kelly (Irish: Lúc Ó Ceallaigh; 17 November 1940 - 30 January 1984) was an Irish singer and folk musician from Dublin, Ireland, notable as a founding member of the band The Dubliners.
Luke Kelly was born into a working class family in Lattimore Cottages, 1 Sheriff Street, a quarter of a mile from Dublin's main thoroughfare, O'Connell Street. His grandmother, who was a McDonald from Scotland, lived with the family until her death in 1953. His father worked all his life in Jacob's biscuit factory and enjoyed playing football. Both Luke and his brother Paddy played club Gaelic football and soccer as children.
He attended the Laurence O'Toole School as a child, and achieved very good grades in most subjects. In 1953 the Dublin Corporation moved the family to Larkhill near Whitehall when their flat was destroyed in a fire, but he continued to attend O'Toole's by taking a bus there every day. Luke left school at thirteen and after four years of odd-jobbing, he went to England in 1958. Working at steel fixing with his brother Paddy on a building site in Wolverhampton, he was sacked after asking for more money. He worked odd jobs from oil barrel cleaning to vacuum salesman.
I'm alive
[Verse 1:]
I'm trying hard to loose control
My heart grows darker than my soul
Do you remember who I used to I?
I can hear a voice thats calling out
To save me from this pain
[Chorus:]
I'm alive!
I'm living in the underworld
My life is an open wound - that you leave bleeding
Save me now!
I'm drowning in the underworld
If I can't break away - I'm lost forever
[Verse 2:]
I always asked the question why
I hear the answer was a lie
Will someone notice if the heavens collide
There's a feeling deep inside of me
That I can't understand
[Chorus:]
I'm alive!
I'm living in the underworld
My life is an open wound - that you leave bleeding
Save me now!
I'm drowning in the underworld
If I can't break away - I'm lost forevermore
[SOLO]
[Verse 1:]
I see the colours of my mind - Slowly fading
For years I walked along so blind - Without falling
I need to rest for a while
No need to pretend or deny
Bits and peices fall into place
I close my eyes
[Chorus:]
Reaching out for a quiet moment
Slow down - Slow down
The price is high for some peace of mind
Slow down - Slow down now!
[Verse 2:]
I walk alone beside myself - In sorrow
My way ahead goes on and on - Towards tomorrow
I need to rest for a while
No need to pretend or deny
Bits and peices fall into place
I close my eyes
[Verse 1:]
Into a world of my own
Where pain and fear is overthrown
I'm falling down - In a way
To live a lie another day
You were the only one I trusted
My only chance to hide away
[Chorus:]
I put all my hope and trust in you
But you disapoint me once again
Caught in a dream - out of the blue
My Imaginary friend
[Verse 2:]
You left me standing alone
Inside this broken mind, unknown
I'm forced to choose a way
Like whispers leads a child astray
You were the only one I trusted
My only chance to hide away
[Repeat chorus]
[Bridge:]
You were the only one I trusted
My only chance to hide away
Falling inside a dream forever
A dream that leads my mind astray
