Elsewhere may refer to:
Sarah Ann McLachlan, OC, OBC (born January 28, 1968) is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter. Known for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano vocal range, as of 2009, she has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. McLachlan's best-selling album to date is Surfacing, for which she won two Grammy Awards (out of four nominations) and four Juno Awards. In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians. The Lilith Fair concert tours took place from 1997 to 1999, and resumed in the summer of 2010. Since 2006 she has also been known as a highly visible supporter of the ASPCA, as well as various other charities.
Sarah McLachlan was born on January 28, 1968, and adopted in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. As a child, she took voice lessons, along with studies in classical piano and guitar. When she was 17 years old and still a student at Queen Elizabeth High School, she fronted a short-lived rock band called The October Game. One of the band's songs, "Grind", credited as a group composition, can be found on the independent Flamingo Records release Out of the Fog and the CD Out of the Fog Too. It has yet to be released elsewhere. Her high school yearbook predicted that she was "destined to become a famous rock star."
Paula Cole (born April 5, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter. Her single "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?" reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997, and the following year she won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
Cole was raised in Rockport, Massachusetts; her mother was an elementary school art teacher, and her father was a professor of biology and ecology at Salem State College and a polka musician. She attended Rockport High School, where she was president of her senior class and performed in school theatrical productions such as South Pacific. Cole then attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she studied jazz singing and improvisation. She was offered a record deal by a jazz label, but decided to turn it down.
Cole got her first big professional break when she was invited to perform on Peter Gabriel's 1993-1994 Secret World Live tour. Shortly after this, she was signed on with her first record company Imago Records. Through this record company, she released her first album Harbinger in 1994. Within that year of Harbinger's release, Imago Records went out of business. In 1995, she was signed on to Warner Bros. Records. The record company reissued Harbinger in the Autumn of 1995.
Bethany Joy Lenz (formerly Bethany Joy Galeotti; born April 2, 1981) is an American actress, musician, director, writer, and producer.
Lenz is best known for her on screen portrayal of Haley James Scott on One Tree Hill (2003-2012). Furthermore, Lenz is recognized for her music as a solo artist and as a member of the band Everly.
Bethany Joy Lenz was born on April 2, 1981 in Hollywood, Florida. Lenz is an only child to Robert Lenz, a history teacher and therapist, and Cathie, a personnel manager and entrepreneur. Her grandfather George Lenz, was a regular on the Broadway stage in the 1950s starring in musicals Wish You Were Here, South Pacific, and many others. Following in her grandfather's footsteps, Lenz began singing at the early age of three at The Carpenter's Church in Lakeland, Florida. At the age of seven, Joy and her family moved to Arlington, Texas where she attended Pope Elementary. She was also enrolled in The Creative Arts Theater and School where she took dance, tap, jazz, acting and theater classes. At seven years old, Lenz landed her first stage role playing a Munchkin in a local production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Three years later, Lenz played Scout in the production of To Kill a Mockingbird at the Irving Community Theater in Texas.
Michael James Owen Pallett (born September 7, 1979 Toronto) is a Canadian composer, violinist, keyboardist, and vocalist. He won the 2006 Polaris Music Prize for the album He Poos Clouds.
Pallett is best known as a solo artist, formerly under the name Final Fantasy. Leon Taheny is also credited as drummer and engineer. Following the release of Heartland, Pallett has toured with guitarist/percussionist Thomas Gill and more recently with his former collaborators in Les Mouches, Rob Gordon and Matt Smith.
Pallett has been noted for his live performances, wherein he plays the violin into a loop pedal, a technique also used by musicians such as Andrew Bird, Jeremy Larson, Emily Wells and Zoë Keating. Pallett uses Max/MSP and SooperLooper to do multi-phonic looping, which sends his violin signal to amplifiers across the stage.
Pallett's father is an avid church organist who provided Owen with a background in classical music until his early preteens. From the age of a toddler, Owen studied classical violin and composed his first piece at age 13. A notable early composition includes some of the music for the game Traffic Department 2192; he moved on to scoring films, to composing two operas while in university. Apart from the indie music scene, he has had commissions from the Barbican, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Bang on a Can, Ecstatic Music Festival, the Vancouver CBC Orchestra, and Fine Young Classicals.
Seems like we're done here
Looks like that's everything
She walks by one last time
Checks for her things and leave the keys behind
There will be more tears
As she's beginning to drive away
It's all clear now
There's no real reason to have the pain
Now I know love has kept me here and my pride has kept me here
And hope keeps singing it's alright, I'll be fine
But she'll be going elsewhere
And she'll be lying else where
And she'll be wanted elsewhere
And I'll be somewhere thinking about her
And she'll be living elsewhere
And she'll be laughing elsewhere
And she'll be happy elsewhere
And I'll be just fine without her someday
That's what I keep telling myself
Was it the right thing?
Was this our biggest mistake?
Still call sometimes but she's got nothing to say
And still she stays away
It's got me questioning
If I ever meant the same to her
How could she? Why would she do these things?
Put me through this pain now
If love is what we have then how could it have been so bad
That she don't think it's worth a fight, she won't try
But she'll be trying elsewhere
And she'll be loving elsewhere
And she'll keep secrets elsewhere
And I'll be somewhere thinking about her
And she'll be willing elsewhere
And she will be giving elsewhere
And she'll have feelings elsewhere
But hope keeps saying Kells, you can make it
But in the meantime I can't sleep, I can't think
There's so many things in my head
Things she said, things that she meant
Things that I started feeling the day that she left
Things that I slept on, things that I should have accepted
Things I expected and the things I neglected
I better get up off my
Catch the first flight out and get her back or else
She'll be living elsewhere
And she'll be crying elsewhere
And shell be feeling elsewhere
And I'll be somewhere thinking about her
She'll be smiling elsewhere
And she'll be laughing elsewhere
Giving all of my sweet love away elsewhere
That's the reason why I gotta catch that flight
I love the time and in between
the calm inside me
in the space where I can breathe
I believe there is a
distance I have wandered
to touch upon the years of
reaching out and reaching in
holding out holding in
I believe
this is heaven to no one else but me
and I'll defend it as long as I can be
left here to linger in silence
if I choose to
would you try to understand
I know this love is passing time
passing through like liquid
I am drunk in my desire...
but I love the way you smile at me
I love the way your hands reach out and hold me near...
I believe...
I believe
this is heaven to no one else but me
and I'll defend it as long as
I can be left here to linger in silence
if I choose to
would you try to understand
Oh the quiet child awaits the day when she can break free
the mold that clings like desperation
Mother can't you see I've got
to live my life the way I feel is right for me
might not be right for you but it's right for me...
I believe...
I believe
this is heaven to no one else but me
and I'll defend it as long as
I can be left here to linger in silence
if I choose to
would you try to understand it
I would like to linger here in silence
if I choose to
would you understand it
I'm gonna find another place to be
I had to make a choice or two
one or two choices based in chemistry
I once or twice considered you
I'm gonna leave you here
I'm gonna leave you here
consider this our kiss goodbye. I...
I'm going far away
already packed my bags
and you can say we didn't try
My heart is in my hand
My hand is in the cloud
My feet have left the ground
My life is turning around and round
Every voices in my head telling me to run like mad
Oh bows and arrows stars and sunset hey hey hey hey hey
Every heart beat every kiss just
Makes me wonder what all this is
Suits of armours hearts and arrows
A glassy heart is crying
And for all the dreams denying
Never smiles
Always on the move
By the years it's raked with fire
And the heyday of desire's
Far to reach
Down and out it lies
The inner fallow land
In a tight spot I demand
The young bliss of eternal dawn
And when all the skies would fall
And a single chance is small
I'll still toe the line
My heart is like an ocean
When the rain is lashing down
And if all fails and the waves are rising frown
My soul caught in a whirlwind
Like the embers in the fire
If not elsewhere, then where is the desire
There's a place that I'd like to reach I have tried, and tried, and tried, and tried to the secret places that you keep I am repeatedley denied oh, won't you let me in I'm on your side
do you still love me do you honestley care cause I am still with you but you are elsewhere yes you are elsewhere
There's a voice that I'd like to hear words of a poet that I used to know now your eyes they keep starin into nowhere if I knew what was hurting you so oh won't you take me there dark places you hide
do you still love me do you honestley care cause I am still with you but you are elsewhere yes you are elsewhere

Here I suffocate
And I got to escape
My chances are faint
To survive in this place
I don’t belong here
Got to find a way
To evacuate before I fade…
Away…
I don’t belong here
Help me escape
Away from here
Take me away
Here I suffocate
And I got to escape
My chances are faint
To survive in this place
I don’t belong here
Got to find a way
To evacuate before I fade away
Gotta get away
It’s now or never
Take me with you
Take me away…
I don’t belong here
Help me escape
Away from here
Take me away
You’re my last resort, my last solution
My last recourse, my salvation
Take my hand across this land of desolation
You hide the secret, the fairest to see:
How cathedrals are meant to be
Monuments of terrible beauty flow,
The eternity sunrise will know.
Shining dephts built on tears I throw,
The eternity sunrise will know.
And as your touch made me blind
I see stars dancing on this steed of mine,
I see universe from a door in your mind.
I'll join the touch of divine.
Here the storms won't get their toll,
We're childish whispers meant to roll,
I know what I do will live over me
Moving in the waves of this silent sea
I know your wild chain will set me free
Moving in the waves of this silent sea.
And as your touch made me blind
I see stars dancing on this steed of mine,
I see universe from a door in your mind.
I love the time and in between
The calm inside me
In the space where I can breathe
I believe there is a
Distance I have wandered

Reaching out and reaching in

For five straight months you know we're never in the
same town
And we kiss good night on wires running underneath the
ground
For five straight months your graduation holds us in
suspense
I used to live in the past, but now I'm living in the
future tense
So we wish away two years at a time for a life we may
not ever even see
And yes I know you're still in love with me, and you
know I still care
But there's lots of looking elsewhere and we both have
tired eyes
For five straight days she's struck me with her
stunning figure
And I'm so inclined to let temptation go ahead and
linger on
And for five straight days he's charmed you with his
sense of humor
And you don't seem to mind the loose talk and idle
rumors going 'round
So we wish away two years at a time for a life we may
not ever even see
And yes I know you're still in love with me, and you
know I still care
But there's lots of looking elsewhere and we both have
tired eyes
We're both guilty, so there's no point in us pointing
fingers at each other
Just another chance to wonder what to do with ourselves
I lost myself in the big city
I wound up in dark bars
I met a lot of strange people and
I rode in a purple street car
Forgot the words, you whispered in my ear
Just can't remember what you said
Suddenly in a train to somewhere else
When will I ever understand?
Then I saw your face in a cloud
Were you above?
I couldn't make it
I was lost in the big city
I lost myself somewhere countryside
I ran across plains and meadows
I met no-fucking-body
I swallowed a purple butterfly
Know about all the things you never said
I can see clearly
Suddenly in a train to somewhere else
It's only now that I can understand
Then I saw your face in a cloud
Were you above?
I couldn't make it
