Prof. Clooney on his Catholicism in Dialogue lecture:
"The wisdom of the Ignatian tradition is beautifully enshrined in the insight of St. Ignatius Loyola that we seek God in all things and see God everywhere. In that way we learn how to serve God and our neighbor everywhere and at all times. From St. Ignatius on, mystics and poets and scholars, inspired by this ideal, have lived out the Ignatian ideal in service to others. Gerard Manley Hopkins expressed the ideal most simply: “Christ plays in ten thousand places, Lovely in limbs, and lovely in eyes not his To the Father through the features of men's faces.” Teilhard de Chardin spoke for many of us when he said that he “sought to teach how to see God everywhere, to see Him in all that is most hidden, most solid and most ultimate in the world.” In our times, the quest to see God in all things can be naturally extended to seeing God in the religious traditions around us. As Vatican II says, we can revere and welcome those other ways of conduct and of life, even when different from our own, that “by no means rarely reflect the radiance of that Truth enlightening all people.” Yet we can do even more: in a climate of true interreligious exchange, we can also learn from how saints and mystics in other traditions see God in all things, and can see us in light of their experience of God everywhere. In today’s world, God is offering us the grace to be seen by others in light of their vision of God in the world. In this lecture, I give the example of a Hindu tradition of south India, wherein the devotee is invited to see the divine — Krishna, Rama, Sita — everywhere and in all things. At a Jesuit university, we have nothing to fear when we find ourselves in the light of other faiths, other people’s vision of the world in God."

The plot centers on Lord Shiva and brings Hindu theology to life in a series of interconnected stories. The serial begins with the creation of the universe and the other Devas, then guides the viewer through Shiva's marriage to Sati, Sati's death, Shiva's marriage to Parvati, and tales of many devotional acts, demonic battles, and important religious events (such as the creation of the twelve Jyotirlinga). It ends with events covered in the Mahabharata and the blessing of the hero Arjuna by Shiva.
According to the show's introduction, source material used to construct the show's plot and script was extensive. Sources listed are the Vayu Puran, Shiv Maha Puran, Skand Puran, Ling Puran, Tantra Chooramani, Valmiki Ramayan, Swetashwar Upanishad, Vaman Puran, Varah Puran, Koorma Puran, Rudra Yamal Tantra, Padma Puran, Devi Bhagwat Puran, and Bhagwat Puran. Director Dheeraj Kumar, a devotee of Lord Shiva, oversaw nine years of research to ensure that Om Namah Shivay's story was complete and accurate. Nonetheless, the opening credits begin with an apology for any errors that may have been made in the series.

Product Description
The Bhagavad Gita (Sanskrit , Bhagavad G t , "Song of God"), also more simply known as Gita, is a sacred Hindu scripture, considered among the most important texts in the history of literature and philosophy. The Bhagavad Gita comprises roughly 700 verses, and is a part of the Mahabharata. The teacher of the Bhagavad Gita is Lord Krishna, who is revered by Hindus as a manifestation of God (Parabrahman) himself, and is referred to within as Bhagavan, the Divine One. The content of the Gita is the conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna taking place on the battlefield before the start of the Kurukshetra war. Responding to Arjuna's confusion and moral dilemma about fighting his own cousins, Lord Krishna explains to Arjuna his duties as a warrior and prince and elaborates on different Yogic and Vedantic philosophies, with examples and analogies. This has led to the Gita often being described as a concise guide to Hindu theology and also as a practical, self-contained guide to life. During the discourse, Lord Krishna reveals His identity as the Supreme Being Himself (Svayam Bhagavan), blessing Arjuna with an awe-inspiring vision of His divine universal form. The Bhagavad Gita is also called G topanisad, implying its having the status of an Upanishad, i.e. a Vedantic scripture.Since the Gita is drawn from the Mahabharata, it is classified as a Smriti text. However, those branches of Hinduism that give it the status of an Upanishad also consider it a ruti or "revealed" text. As it is taken to represent a summary of the Upanishadic teachings, it is also called "the Upanishad of the Upanishads". Another title is mok a stra, or "Scripture of Liberation".[
About the Author
Swami Dayananda Saraswati is a contemporary teacher of Vedanta and a scholar in Sanskrit in the tradition of Sankara. Swamiji has been teaching Vedanta in India for more than five decades and around the world since 1976. His deep scholarship and assimilation of Vedanta combined with a subtle appreciation of contemporary problems make him that rare teacher who can reach both traditional and modern students. A teacher of teachers, Swami Dayananda taught six resident in-depth Vedanta courses, each spanning 30 to 36 months. Four of them were conducted in India and two in the United States. Each course graduated about 60 qualified teachers, who are now teaching throughout India and abroad. Under his guidance, various centers for teaching of Vedanta have been founded around the world; among these, there are three primary centers in India at Rishikesh, Coimbatore, Nagpur and one in the U.S. at Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. There are more than one hundred centers in India and abroad that carry on the same tradition of Vedantic teaching. In addition to teaching, Swami Dayananda has initiated and supported various humanitarian efforts for the last forty-five years. The most far-reaching of these is the establishment of All India Movement for Seva in 2000. Awarded consultative status with ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) by the United Nations in 2005, this organization is devoted to serving people in the remote areas of India, mainly in the field of Education and Health Care. Swami Dayananda Saraswati has also promoted several international events and participated as a speaker in several global forums, among which are: the United Nations gathering of NGO's, the UNESCO Seoul Global Convention, the United Nations 50th Anniversary Celebration, the Millennium World Peace Summit, the International Congress for the Preservation of Religious Diversity, the Conference on the Preservation of Sacred Sites, the World Council for Preservation of Religious Diversity, the Youth Peace Summit, the Global Peace Initiative of Women Religious and Spiritual Leaders, a Hindu-Christian dialogue with the World Council of Churches, and the Hindu-Jewish Leadership Summit.

Hinduism is a categorisation of distinct intellectual or philosophical points of view, rather than a rigid, common set of beliefs.[2] Hinduism, with about one billion followers[web 1] is the world's third largest religion, after Christianity and Islam.
Hinduism has been called the "oldest religion" in the world,[note 2] and some practitioners refer to it as Sanātana Dharma, "the eternal law" or the "eternal way"[3] beyond human origins.[4] Hinduism is the dominant religion, or way of life, note in South Asia. Well, I need to warn you ahead of time: Rich surprised me with a new, uh, shall we say, powerful version of the Radio Free Geneva theme. I had not heard it till today! So that got us going for a review of the outrageous article that appeared on the SBC Today website on July 20th by Dr. Coxe of the First Baptist Church of Pryor, Oklahoma. This reprehensible example of Anti-Calvinist Derangement Syndrome should be pulled and an apology posted in its place—but I doubt those in charge of the SBC Today website would have the temerity to do the right thing in this case. We also spent a few minutes toward the end of the hour looking at the comparison of Calvin and Herschel Hobbs provided by Dr. Rick Patrick, also on the same website.

Pushkar (Hindi: पुष्कर) is a town in the Ajmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is situated 14 km (8.7 mi) northwest of Ajmer at an average elevation of 510 m (1,670 ft) and is one of the five sacred dhams (pilgrimage site) for devout Hindus. According to Hindu theology, the pond at the Katas Raj temple Near Choa Saidan Shah in Chakwal District of Pakistan has a theological association with Shiva; it was formed by the tears of Lord Shiva which he is believed to have shed after the death of his wife, Sati. The story goes that when Sati died, Shiva cried so much and for so long, that his tears created two holy ponds – one at Pushkara in Ajmer in India and the other at Ketaksha, which literally means raining eyes, in Sanskrit. It is from this name that the word Katas is derived. It is often called "Tirth Raj" – the king of pilgrimage sites – and has in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists.
Pushkar is one of the oldest existing cities of India. It lies on the shore of Pushkar Lake. The date of its actual origin is not known, but legend associates Brahma with its creation.
