Puppy love

Puppy love (also known as a crush, calf love or kitten love) is an informal term for feelings of love, romance, or infatuation, often felt by young people during their childhood and adolescence. It is named for its resemblance to the adoring, worshipful affection that may be felt for a puppy. It may also be able to describe short/long-term love interest.

The term can be used in a derogatory fashion, describing emotions which are shallow and transient in comparison to other forms of love such as romantic love.Sigmund Freud, however, was far from underestimating the power of early love; recognizing the validity of "the proverbial durability of first loves: on reviendra toujours à ses premières amours."

Characteristics

Puppy love is a very widespread experience in the process of maturing. It may be difficult to not have cases of "puppy love" sometime during the maturing process. The object of attachment may be a peer, but the term can also be used to describe the fondness of a child for an adult, for example, students being attracted to their teachers, their friends' parents, or children to older celebrities: indeed, some consider that in puppy love 'usually the object of such infatuation is some highly idealised person who is some years older—a teacher, a friend of the family, an actor, or rock star'—and typically the sufferer 'greatly moved with emotion...spending much time in daydreams and wishful fantasies about them. When people have wishful fantasies about their love interest, they may have a fantasy about having their first kiss with them, or maybe have a fantasy about marrying them one day.

Pony Club

Pony Club is an international youth organization devoted to the educating youths about horses and riding. Pony Club organizations exist in over 30 countries worldwide.

Origins

Pony Club began with the organisation that was formed in Great Britain in 1929 when the Institute of the Horse formed a youth branch of their organization, "The Pony Club." It was formed to encourage children to start riding, while providing them with opportunities in the field that they would not be able to reach on their own. The group grew rapidly, from 300 members in 1930, to over 10,000 in 1935. When the Institute of the Horse joined with National Horse Association of Great Britain to form The British Horse Society, Pony Club was incorporated into the new group.

The success of Pony Club in Britain sparked the formation of Pony Clubs in other nations, such that there are now over 100,000 Pony Club members worldwide. Australia has the largest pony club membership in the world with just under 55,000 financial members. Note they also ride horses.

Katie Price

Katie Price (born; Katrina Amy Alexandra Alexis Infield 22 May 1978), previously known by the pseudonym Jordan, is an English television personality and glamour model.

Her time as topless female glamour model in a pictorial Page 3 in British tabloid newspaper The Sun shot Price into the limelight. Her placement in the public spotlight allowed Price to expand into a variety of different industries including television, books, fashion and music.

Price has had many highly publicised relationships and has been married three times, to singer Peter Andre (2005–2009), to professional fighter Alex Reid (2010–2011) and to builder and part-time stripper Kieran Hayler (2013–). In April 2012, Price's net worth was estimated at £45 million.

Early life

Born in 1978 in Brighton, East Sussex, southeast England, Katie Price was the only child of Amy (née Charlier) and Ray Infield. Her father left the family when she was four, and in 1988 her mother married builder Paul Price, after which she acquired the surname Price. From two of her mother's other's marriages, she has an older half-brother named Daniel and a younger half-sister named Sophie. Her maternal grandmother was Jewish, but she is not religious.
