Plot
Filmed entirely in San Antonio, Texas, this story follows a meek, passive student named Marcus. Soon after receiving news that he will be moving to the Maldives in 24 hours to attend a rigorous boarding school, Marcus follows the advice of his friends to escape from the confines of his home (and perspective) to spend his last night with the people - and the city, he calls home.

Indiana (i/ɪndiˈænə/) is a US state, admitted to the United States as the 19th on December 11, 1816. It is located in the midwestern and Great Lakes regions of North America. Indiana is the 38th largest by area and the 15th most populous of the 50 United States. Indiana is the least extensive state in the continental US west of the Appalachian Mountains. Its capital and largest city is Indianapolis, the second largest of any state capital and largest state capital east of the Mississippi River.
Before it became a territory, varying cultures of indigenous peoples and historic Native Americans inhabited Indiana for thousands of years. Angel Mounds State Historic Site, one of the best preserved ancient earthwork mound sites in the United States, can be found in Southwestern Indiana near Evansville. Residents of Indiana are known as Hoosiers. The etymology of the word is disputed, but the leading theory as advanced by the Indiana Historical Bureau and the Indiana Historical Society has "Hoosier" originating from the upland South region of the U.S. as a derogatory slang term for a rough countryman, a country bumpkin.
She came to this world on a cold night
Papa turned his head and said
I don't believe she's mine
Single mama raised her in a place
Where you can look but never touch
'Cause we don't have enough
Don't let your hopes get high
'Cause girls like you can't fly
Oh, the long nights in the small room
With the big dreams, oh Indiana
You're only dying here
And they don't understand
Yeah, it's a tough road but you start slow
And before you know it you're not alone
Looking for a place called home anywhere
Oh Indiana
She tended bar in New York City
Indiana
People turned their heads and said
Baby, you sure look fine
They put her on TV and then they told her
You're gonna be a star, you can go so far
Let your hopes get high
'Cause girls like you can fly
And the long nights in the small room
With the big dreams, oh Indiana
You're only dying here
And they don't understand
Yeah, tough road but you start slow
And before you know it, you're not alone
Looking for a place called home anywhere
Oh Indiana
Those big dreams are flying machines
And they'll take you where ever you want to go
Oh, and sometimes you find that what's real is inside
You don't have to go away to find your way home
Oh, Indiana
She turned around and she stopped running
She saw that fame was never
The answer to her prayers
She found that answer in her children
When she takes them to a place
Where they can have so much
She lets their hopes get high
'Cause anyone, anyone can fly
And the, the long nights in the small room
With the big dreams, oh Indiana
You're only dying here
And they don't understand
Yeah, it's a tough road but you start slow
And before you know it, you're not alone
Looking for a place called home anywhere
Oh Indiana
'Giro, giro tondo casca il mondo, casca la terra tutti giù per terra'
'ring a ring a rosesa pocketful of posies: atishoo!
atishoo! we all fall down'
stay
these days and you will find
all the hurting here will die
be better when you're mine
and we'll stay
the basket and the blue
of your eyes
the basket and the blue skies
and your eyes
I don't care about the boy
throw up your head hit the road
I won't feel the wedding mourn
if you stay the same
the basket and the blue
of your eyes
the basket and the blue skies
I remember the first time
I drove through Indiana
Watching fences in the distance
Fade away
Once there was a girl I knew there
And she was pretty
We kept in touch until we just
Went our own ways
I remember the first time I drove
Through Indiana
Waving goodbye to the towns
That we drove through
Far away I know they're deep
Inside a city
Running back and forth wanting
Only to get home
Once I was there in a dream
Meeting people
WIthout names and without
Faces they lived
I rmember the first time I drove
Through Indiana
Watching semis hauling grain
To the west
They're gonna make it all the
Way to Colorado
Where the mountains touch
The sky and rivers bend
I remember the first time I drove
Through Indiana
Thinking to myself how big
This land really is
AMber waves of grain, from a highway
Who lives in that house so far away?
I remember the first time I drove
Though Indiana
Watching fences in the distance
Fade away
I remember the first time I drove
Though Indiana
I remember the first time I drove
¿Qué te he hecho yo? (Oh Indiana)
Nunca que me he portado mal contigo niña... (Oh, Indiana)
¡Dios mío! ¿Qué te he hecho yo? (Oh Indiana)
Y volverás a mí...
Indiana, Indiana... Indiana, Indiana...
¿No sabes decir otra cosa?
(Oh, Indiana)
...No puedo soportar tu barbita de cuatro días... (Oh, Indiana)
Suelta el látigo y verás, (Oh, Indiana),
Dale gracias a Dios que tienes gafas Indiana (Oh, Indiana)
Uh! Indiana... (Oh, Indiana)
Uh! Indiana... (Oh, Indiana)
Uh! Indiana...
So get in or get out before your mom cracks down
Honest, it's a touch, too much to get down
So get up or lie down cause either way we're making out tonight
Alone, alone tonight
I put forth the effort to keep you happy for a while
We're two weeks in and here we are again (Here we go again)
And when it's over and done
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
When every one of your words they make them in
If I cannot be close to you
Where do you get off telling me constantly what I'm gonna be
I'll be just fine if I cannot be close to you (To you)
And so you gave me a second chance
It was my first intent to make you believe me, so
Tell me the way you felt the morning after
Tell me the way you felt, you wanted to hear it, so here it goes
And when it's over and done
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
When every one of your words they make them in
If I cannot be close to you
Where do you get off telling me constantly what I'm gonna be
I'll be just fine if I cannot be close to you (To you)
I can't just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing (Come on baby I don't want to)
I can't just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing (I don't want to)
I can't just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing (Come on baby I don't want to)
I can't just agree to disagree, it's a sad thing (Come on baby I don't want to)
And when it's over and done
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
Oh, this place that I am in
I cannot get out of this place that I am in
When every one of your words they make them in
If I cannot be close to you
Where do you get off telling me constantly what I'm gonna be
Johnny:
Back home again in Indiana ...
Bobby:
Ah, ... talk about the South!
Johnny:
And it seems that I can see
The gleaming candlelight
Still shinin' bright
Through the sycamores for me.
The new mown hay
Sends all its fragrance ...
Bobby:
You know ‘bout that jazz.
Johnny:
From the fields I used to roam.
Bobby:
I'm a Yankee myself.
Johnny:
When I dream about the moonlight on the Wabash
then I long for my Indian home.
Bobby:
Sounds like it could be fun!
Back home again in Indiana ...
Johnny:
Way out west!
Bobby:
And it seems that I can see ...
Johnny:
See what?
Bobby:
The gleaming' candlelight ...
Johnny:
One watt.
Bobby:
Still shinin' bright
Through the sycamores for me.
The new mown hay ...
Johnny:
Cut it yourself?
Bobby:
Yeah, ... sends all its fragrance
From the fields I use to roam.
Johnny:
Roamin' in the gloamin'.
Bobby:
When I dream about the moonlight on the Wabash
then I long for my Indiana home.
Johnny:
When the meadowlark
Is singin' in the springtime ...
Bobby:
I want to sing a little swing.
Johnny:
I got the key, just follow me.
Scat sing.
Bobby:
You mean?
Scat sing.
Both:
Scat sing.
Johnny:
When things are peachy
On the old Ogichee ...
Bobby:
Where the heck is that?
When they start to shiver
On the Hudson River ...
Johnny:
I know where that is!
Bobby: Yeah!
Johnny:
I dream of my Indiana ...
Bobby:
New York and Old Savannah ...
Both:
Dream of my Indiana home.
I can do whatever I want like you.
She began to die.
Indiana that's not right.
Indiana that's not life.
Then she began to fight.
Indiana make it mine.
Indiana make this mine.
So pale and white.
Determined in rust and ruin.
A dew drenched hour.
Colonel sir her name's not yours.
I can do whatever I want like you.
Like You...
Frail, gothic eyes.
A damsel, a somber sky.
She faints on isles.
Mademoiselle, hold tight your tongue.
I can do whatever I want like you.
Is this where the brave hearts hide?
Oh no.
I'm glad i never lived next to the water
So I could never get used to the beach
And I'm glad I never grew up on a mountain
To figure out how high the world could reach
I love the miles between me and the city
Where I quietly imagine every street
And I'm glad I'm only picturing the moment
I'm glad she never fell in love with me
For some the world's a treasure to discover
And your scenery should never stay the same
And they're trading in their dreams for Explanations
All in an attempt to entertain
But I love the miles between me and the city
Where I quietly imagine every street
And I'm glad I'm only picturing the moment
I'm glad she never fell in love with me
The trick of love is to never let it find you
It's easy to get over missing out
I know the how's and whens, but now and then,
She's all I think about
I wonder how it feels to be famous
But wonder is as far as I will go
Because I'd probably lose myself in all the Pictures
And end up being someone I don't know.
So it's probably best I stay in Indiana
Just dreaming of the world as it should be
Where every day is a battle to convince myself

Oh New Orleans rest assure,I have been there once
before
Ain't no last few days in Indiana
San Francisco you broke my heart, Left alone in a
troubled part
Ain't no last few days in Indiana
Chorus:
And all my friends gonna rest my heart
Cry just a little bit
And all these drugs gonna tickle my soul
Cry just a little bit
Verse:
Old New York, did me well,I bought a house upon the
hills
Ain't no last few days in Indiana
Maryland lost my band, Fighting wars with a better man
Jesus loves those girls from Indiana
Chorus:
And all my friends gonna rest my heart
Cry just a little bit
An all these drugs gonna tickle my soul
Cry just a little bit
Bridge:
And all my friends get caught in the middle
in a poor man's heart and a poor man's fiddle
I got a hole in my pocket
and nothing coming down my leg
thinkin' about my home
I got a box in my socket
the extra E is tellin' me
I never should have got up and grown.
I'm gonna hock every buck in the bank
and vacate this skinny town
like a Finney Brown
I got a hole in my pocket and nothin' trickle down
done permanent turn my mouth into a frown
got fuel in the rocket start the countdown
I got a roach in the cabin and multiplyin' overtime
under the laundry mat
I ain't seen the sun in a hundred million light years
gimme a land that's flat
I'm on a budget of nothin'
my life is a lemon
I'm suckin' the rind and it's spittin' time
(It's what I ain't got)
My momma's grin
(It's what I ain't got )
I wanna wear it again
(It's what I ain't got)
I wanna get me on back to my IN
Indiana
Back to my Granddaddy's farm,
someday I'll return to slam the backboard on the barn
Indiana
now the grass and corn and fireflies
are just a distant humble paradise
She got a tag on her pocketbook, fake alligator
never took an animal life
she got a run in her stocking the length of an equator
think she'll be my wife
she got my face in a locket a scrap of tin around her finger
diggin' the bone and I'm goin' home
(To what I ain't got)
My momma's grin
(To what I ain't got )
I wanna wear it again
(To what I ain't got)
I wanna get me on back to my IN
Gentlemen start your engines
Indiana
Gonna' hold my head up proud
I won't live in the shadow of no buildin'
scrapin' up the clouds
Indiana
down at the Brickyard on Memorial Day
I'm on one knee and beggin' you to stay
Oh, Honey
I got a token in my pocket
a wormy apple for the boss
hitchin' it home tonight
I down a Coke and the sign says
half way to Santa Claus
I feel I'm gonna ignite
They got a pie on the window
a pickup in the backyard
ready to roam 'cause i'm comin' home
(To what I ain't got)
My momma's grin
(To what I ain't got )
I wanna wear it again
(To what I ain't got)
my Hoosier kin
I'm gonna get it
I see what you see
Yeah I get what you're after
Visions of something
It turns out to be
Shades of Limboland and MTV
Don't rationalise
Your sentence lies so tenderly
She was a girl who could turn you in time
Morons they wanted more, more, more
I saw her lead the dance across the floor
Amongst the flowers and ivory towers of long ago
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
I see what you are after
You feel it in my laughter I know
I know it's late but I don't want to go.
The fragrance and the radiance and the afterglow.
The afterglow.
I don't want to go.
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
Oh Anja
Hey, hey, hey Anja
