Ian Ronald Bell MBE (born 11 April 1982) is an English cricketer who plays international cricket for the England cricket team. He also plays county cricket for Warwickshire County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed higher/middle order batsman, described in The Times as an "exquisite rapier," and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He is also noted for his sharp reflexes and often fields in close catching positions. He has scored sixteen Test centuries and one ODI 100. He is one of only a handful of Batsman to have scored a test century against all current test playing nations (this excludes Zimbabwe).
In the 2006 New Year Honours List, Ian Bell was awarded the MBE for his role in the successful Ashes campaign of 2005. In November 2006, he was awarded the Emerging Player of the Year award by the International Cricket Council. During 2008 and 2009, he was a more infrequent member of the England teams – however he reclaimed his Test place during the 2009 Ashes, which England won, and featured in several ODIs the following year. During 2010, he captained Warwickshire to victory in the CB40 final before scoring his first Ashes century the following winter as he helped England retain the Ashes down-under. Warwickshire County Cricket Club awarded Bell a benefit in 2011.
Glenn Donald McGrath AM (pronounced /məˈɡrɑː/; born 9 February 1970 in Dubbo, New South Wales), nicknamed "Pigeon", is a former Australian cricket player. He is one of the most highly regarded fast-medium pace bowlers in cricketing history, and a leading contributor to Australia's domination of world cricket from the mid-1990s to the early 21st century.
Known throughout his career for maintaining a remarkably accurate line and length, McGrath's consistency enabled him to be one of the most economical and dangerous fast bowlers of his time. McGrath holds the world record for the highest number of Test wickets by a fast bowler and is fourth on the all-time list, with the top three wicket takers Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, and Anil Kumble all being spin bowlers. He has also taken the sixth highest number of One Day International wickets, and holds the record for the most wickets in the Cricket World Cup. McGrath announced his retirement from Test cricket on 23 December 2006, with his Test career coming to an end after the fifth Ashes test in Sydney in January 2007, whilst the 2007 World Cup marked the end of his one-day career. McGrath later played for the Indian Premier League team of the Delhi DareDevils, and was one of the tournaments' most economical bowlers during its first season, however he saw no action in the second season, ultimately having his contract bought out.
Timothy 'Tim' Thomas Bresnan (born 28 February 1985) is an English cricketer. He is a fast-medium bowler, as well as being respected for his ability with the bat for Yorkshire. He normally fields in the deep, but is sometimes found in the slip cordon. He won the NBC Denis Compton Award in 2002 and 2003. In June 2006 he was called up to the England One Day International side, and in May 2009, he joined the Test side. He was selected for the 2010–11 Ashes series and played in the Boxing Day Test at the MCG; he took six wickets including the final one which saw England retain the Ashes. As of May 2012, England have won every Test match he has played in (13 Tests from 2009 to 2012).
Bresnan was born in February 1985 to Ray and Julie. He attended Castleford High School Technology and Sports College, and subsequently attended NEW College, Pontefract. He started his career and played his junior cricket at Townville Cricket Club, the club where his father played his cricket, and where his brother Ritchie still does. He then moved to Castleford Cricket Club as he began to play within the Yorkshire set up. He is a Leeds United FC supporter.
Kevin Peter Pietersen, MBE (born 27 June 1980) is a South African-born English cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional off spin bowler who plays for England, Surrey and the Delhi Daredevils. He was captain of the England Test and One Day International teams from 4 August 2008 to 7 January 2009 but resigned after just three Tests and nine One Day Internationals, following a dispute with England coach Peter Moores, who was sacked the same day. On 31 May 2012, Pietersen retired from all forms of international limited-overs cricket.
Pietersen was born in Pietermaritzburg, Natal Province, South Africa. He made his first-class debut for Natal in 1997 before moving to England after voicing his displeasure at the racial quota system in place in South Africa. His English mother gave Pietersen eligibility to play for England, and after serving a qualifying period of four years playing at county level, he was called up almost immediately into the national side. He made his international debut in the One Day International match against Zimbabwe in 2004, and his Test match debut in the 2005 Ashes series against Australia the following year. The England team's subsequent reliance on Pietersen since his debut resulted in only a single first-class appearance for Hampshire between 2005 and 2010. On 17 June 2010, Pietersen announced his wish to leave Hampshire . He subsequently joined Surrey on loan for the remainder of the 2010 English county cricket season after being dropped by England due to a poor run of form, before joining the club permanently from the 2011 season onwards.
"The Man" is a slang phrase that may refer to the government or to some other authority in a position of power. In addition to this derogatory connotation, it may also serve as a term of respect and praise.
The phrase "the Man is keeping me down" is commonly used to describe oppression. The phrase "stick it to the Man" encourages resistance to authority, and essentially means "fight back" or "resist", either openly or via sabotage.
The earliest recorded use[citation needed] of the term "the Man" in the American sense dates back to a letter written by a young Alexander Hamilton in September 1772, when he was 15. In a letter to his father James Hamilton, published in the Royal Dutch-American Gazette, he described the response of the Dutch governor of St. Croix to a hurricane that raked that island on August 31, 1772. "Our General has issued several very salutary and humane regulations and both in his publick and private measures, has shewn himself the Man." [dubious – discuss] In the Southern U.S. states, the phrase came to be applied to any man or any group in a position of authority, or to authority in the abstract. From about the 1950s the phrase was also an underworld code word for police, the warden of a prison or other law enforcement or penal authorities.

Ohhh, oh oh oh.....
I think I need a change of scenery
Warm water sunshine on my foot?
Just like my daydream
And on the nightly?
Everything is hot and sticky
But its ok
cause no one plans to sleep here anyway
Ohhhhh.... be-because
We all want a better life
I think I found it in this place
Everthing is so sublime
You should come with me
We all want a better life
I think I found you just in time
And I feeling so divine
We all want a better life
And Im not going home
Im not ever going home
I think I need a change of scenery, yea
I think I need you to be here with me
Oh.....
We all want a better life
I think I found it in this place
Everything is so sublime
You should come with me
We all want a better life
I think I found you just in time
And Im feeling so divine
We all want a better life
Come..... oh...... come.... better life....
Better life.... (music) ...
Better life....better life... better life...
Everything is hot and sticky
But its ok
cause no one plans to sleep here anyway
Ohhhh.... be-because
We all want a better life
I think I found it in this place
Everything is so sublime
You should come with me
We all want a better life
I think I found you just in time
And Im feeling so divine
We all want a better life
You move me, you move me
Not everybody does
I care about all of you
Not everybody would
My love, she's better the rest
My love, she knows better than the rest
You see through me, see through me
Not everybody does
I care about all of you
Not everybody could
It's your move, I made mine
After six months of going back and forth
And losing my memory
Nearly losing my mind
You're better than the rest
My love, you know better than the rest
My love, she knows better than the rest
It's war if she ever finds out
It's war if she ever finds out
It's war if she ever finds out
It's war if she ever finds out
It's war if she ever finds out
It's war if she ever finds out
You soothe me, you soothe me
Not everybody does
I care about all of you
Not everybody could
It's your move, I made mine
After six months of going back and forth
And losing my memory
Nearly losing my mind
You're better than the rest
My love, she knows better than the rest
My love, she's better than the rest
It's war if she ever finds out
It's war if she ever finds out
The war must be over by now
The war must be over by now
The war must be over by now
The war must be over by now
The war must be over by now
If I ever get caught in the usual situation
Of champagne taste and big pocketbook
I would spend all I own without any reservation
Then get some sweet, sweeter than sweet
Sweeter than sweet, sweet sleep
I remember the time when I was in your position
And though I was younger than you, you're always in control
You see the world is a sea of possibility
And you go in deep deeper than deep
Yes, you were deeper than deep, deep sleep
You send the riot squad in, deeper than deep, deep sleep
You never turn on me, deeper than deep, deep sleep
'Cause it's the lonely, it's the lonely life baby
You get more out of it if you put some more into it
It's the feeling, the feeling's not right
If I wasn't so out of it, I'd put some more into it
If I wasn't so out of it, I'd put some more into it
I would, it's never enough, it's never enough
If you ever wake up and everybody's changed direction
Would you go with the flow or let them wash you away
If I know you, you'd never move your foundation
And you go in deep deeper than deep
Yes, you were deeper than deep, deep sleep
You send the riot squad in, deeper than deep, deep sleep
You never turn on me, deeper than deep, deep sleep
She was the first I ever knew
Came from the mainland on the east side
She said, "Don? t follow me, don? t follow me, you? ll get lost
If you follow me, if you follow me you? ll get lost"
She? s not your regular Mrs. Robinson
She got him drunk so she could sneak out the hotel
I played a little song, I got it all wrong
It sounded like easy lover
Well, she left and she smiled, didn? t look like her type
Looked like genesis
She said, "Hey, don? t let a little failure get you down"
She said, "Hey, don't let a little failure get you down"
She said, "Hey, don't let a little failure get you down"
? Cause it happens to the best of us
She asked me which way I wanted to go
I was too young to know the difference
When she showed me a trick, I couldn? t handle it
I was too nervous
So she gave me a wink, said I would thank her for it
In the future when the other girls are lining up
Don't let a little failure get you down
She said, "Hey, don't let a little failure get you down"
She said, "Hey, don't let a little failure get you down"
She said, "Hey, don't let a little failure get you down"
She said, "Hey, don't let a little failure get you down"
She said, "Hey, don? t ever let the failure get you down"
