Oscar has just arrived in Montreal with his son Jose en route to a small city in Quebec to introduce the boy to his mother. They miss their bus and are stranded for the night in this unfamiliar city. Later, when Jose is fast asleep, restless Oscar decides to get some air. This is where he meets Diane, looking for her lost dog. They walk side by side through the night streets of Montreal. But are they really looking for a dog? Where will the twists and turns of their stroll lead them? Does Diane's husband Vincent, set out on a search for his wife, have reasons to worry? After wandering all night like tortured souls, and meeting a bunch of special characters, among whom the homeless Barack Obama himself, these three scoundrels find themselves together at the bus station in the wee hours of the morning along with dumbfounded Jose. With the help of the cold light of the rising day, all accounts can finally be settled. This film is an ode to Montreal told as an urban symphony, creating characters of the night and the city unto themselves. Oscar and Diane, both played by three actors of different ethnic backgrounds, take turns pulling us into this breathtaking tale that reveals the colorful charm of the melting-pot city of Montreal to anyone willing to look.

As she spends the night avoiding her ex, and the other undesirable guys in attendance, she interacts with a colorful assortment of party peeps. Between disappearing fortune tellers and over crowded jacuzzis, she questions if real love is even possible. The irony; the only person she's the least bit attracted to, is the homeless man!

SNL’s 60 Minutes Spoofs Obama’s ISIS Response and Secret Service Failures

In a 60 Minutes format, Saturday Night Live poked fun at President Obama — specifically, his strategies toward fighting ISIS and dealing with the recent Secret Service security breaches. Asked if he underestimated the threat ISIS poses to the Middle East, President Barack Obama (played by Jay Pharoah) said they absolutely did, explaining that ISIS’s social media strategy in particular caught them by surprise. He then read a series of tweets, hashtags — and even a Tinder profile — to back himself up. As a result, he said, America’s response to ISIS has been moving “slow[ly] and deliberately.” Pharoah expanded on this and even created a new Internet moniker: DTJ. That is, “down to jihad.” They also poked fun at the recent security lapses at the White House when a Secret Service agent (played by Taran Killam) informed the president of a breach. “I should probably go take care of that,” the president said before the show officially opened. In a major reversal, President Barack Obama ordered the United States into a broad military campaign Wednesday night to "degrade and ultimately destroy" Islamic State militants in two volatile Middle East nations authorizing airstrikes inside Syria for the first time as well as an expansion of strikes in Iraq. The president added that the U.S. will send 475 more U.S. troops into Iraq to supplement an existing American military presence that is helping Iraqi security forces battle Islamic State militants and secure diplomatic facilities. Obama announced the additional forces Wednesday in a prime-time speech to the nation. The new troops would join more than 1,000 U.S. military personnel in Iraq and would be embedded with Iraqi security forces and help identify targets for U.S. military airstrikes against the extremist group. The U.S. already has more than 750 U.S. military personnel supporting diplomatic security at facilities in Baghdad and nearly 300 at joint operating centers in Baghdad and Irbil. 60 minutes President Barack Obama lauded Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton as one of his closest advisers and said their shared vision for America's role in the world persuaded his one-time rival -- and potential successor -- to be his top diplomat while he dealt with the shattered economy at home. During a joint interview that aired Sunday, Obama and Clinton chuckled as they described their partnership and stoked speculation that Obama may prefer Clinton to succeed him in the White House after the 2016 elections. Clinton is leaving Obama's Cabinet soon, and speculation about the former first lady and senator has only grown more intense after a heated appearance last week on Capitol Hill. Both Obama and Clinton batted away questions about future campaigns, but the joint interview -- the president's first with anyone other than first lady Michelle Obama -- was only likely to increase the fascination with Clinton's future. "The president and I care deeply about what's going to happen for our country in the future," Clinton said. "And I don't think, you know, either he or I can make predictions about what's going to happen tomorrow or the next year."

President Obama rips into Republicans while speaking in Austin, Texas. Key quote: So when folks say they're frustrated with Congress, let's be clear about what the problem is. (Applause.) I'm just telling the truth now. I don't have to run for office again, so I can just let her rip. (Applause.) And I want to assure you, I'm really not that partisan of a guy. My favorite President is the first Republican President, a guy named Abraham Lincoln. You look at our history, and we had great Republican Presidents who -- like Teddy Roosevelt started the National Park System, and Dwight Eisenhower built the Interstate Highway System, and Richard Nixon started the EPA. The statement I'm making is not a partisan statement, it is a statement of fact. (Applause.) So far this year, Republicans in Congress have blocked or voted down every serious idea to strengthen the middle class. They have said no -- AUDIENCE: Booo! THE PRESIDENT: Don't boo now, because what I want you to do is vote. (Applause.) They've said no to raising the minimum wage. They've said no to fair pay. They said no to unemployment insurance for hardworking folks like Kinsey's parents who have paid taxes all their lives and never depended on anything and just needed a little help to get over a hump. They said no to fixing our broken immigration system that we know would strengthen our borders and our businesses and help families. (Applause.) Instead of investing in education that helps working families, they voted to give another massive tax cut to the wealthiest Americans. Instead of creating jobs by rebuilding our infrastructure, our roads, our bridges, our ports that help every business, they've decided to protect tax loopholes for companies that are shifting jobs overseas and profits overseas. The best thing you can say about this Congress -- the Republicans in Congress, and particularly the House of Representatives -- the best you can say for them this year is that so far they have not shut down the government -- (laughter) -- or threatened to have America welch on our obligations and ruin our credit rating. That's the best you can say. But of course, it's only July -- (laughter) -- so who knows what they may cook up in the next few months. So even as they're blocking policies that would help middle-class families, they keep on offering these theories of the economy that have failed over and over again. They say, well, if we give more tax breaks to folks at the top that's going to be good. If we make fewer investments in things like education, everything will work out. If we loosen the rules for big banks and credit card companies and polluters and insurers, somehow that's going to make the economy better. If we shrink the safety net and cut Medicaid and cut food stamps, and make sure that folks who are vulnerable and trying to get back on their suffer more hardship, somehow that's going to improve the economy. Now, they believe these things -- sincerely, I assume -- that if they -- if we do these things, if we just take care of folks at the top, or at least if we don't empower our government to be able to help anybody, that somehow jobs and prosperity will trickle down and we'll all be better off.

FULL Speech and Press Conference: U.S. President Barrack Obama Speaks at NATO Summit 9/5/2014. Obama Vows to 'Degrade and Ultimately Destroy' ISIS (MSNBC) President Barack Obama vowed Friday to “degrade and ultimately destroy” ISIS militants in the Middle East. He said that NATO countries agreed on the need for immediate action against the militants, who have rampaged across Syria and Iraq. He also said that Arab states, including those with a Sunni majority, must help as well. The president spoke from Wales at the conclusion of a NATO summit that was called to deal with Russian aggression in Ukraine but that was somewhat overshadowed by the ISIS threat. “The goal has to be to dismantle them,” he said. He said that included bolstering Iraqi security forces and taking out ISIS leaders. On Russia, NATO leaders approved plans earlier in the day to create a force that could mobilize quickly if any alliance country in Eastern Europe were to come under attack. NATO will also continue air patrol flights over the Baltics and other security measures. Obama declared that “we will defend every ally.” He said the alliance had “sent a strong message to Russia that actions have consequences.” “Russia must stop its violations of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” he said. In a hopeful sign, Ukraine signed a cease-fire agreement Friday with pro-Russian rebels who have been fighting Ukrainian government forces in eastern Ukraine. “Obviously, we are hopeful — but, based on past experience, also skeptical that in fact the separatists will follow through and the Russians will stop violating Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Obama said. “So it has to be tested.” On ISIS, the militant group that has conquered parts of Syria and Iraq, Obama pledged: “We are going to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL,” using a different acronym for the group. Obama Promises to 'Deepen and Broaden' Sanctions Against Russia. (ABC) Hours after the Ukrainian government and pro-Russia rebels agreed to a ceasefire after five months of fighting, President Obama told reporters at the NATO Summit in Newport, Wales, today that, “Our alliance is fully united in support of Ukraine's sovereignty." “The U.S. and Europe are finalizing measures to deepen and broaden our sanctions across Russia’s banking, energy, and defense sectors," he said. Obama announced that all NATO allies will provide security assistance to Ukraine, including support and care for Ukrainian troops. Obama reiterated that pro-Russian separatists must keep their commitments, even as European leaders plan to intensify sanctions against the Russian government and its economy. To apply pressure, Obama said the discussion at NATO and the international community's support of Ukraine has been "a testimony to how seriously people take to the principle that big countries can't just stomp on little countries." Obama’s comments come two days after he referred to the Russian advance in Ukraine as a “moment of testing” for the world, a problem that “challenges that most basic of principles of our international system, that borders cannot be redrawn at the barrel of a gun.” The usual strain in Russian-American relations was taken to an even more international stage this week after Obama visited Estonia in part to reassure the Baltic nations that America’s and Europe’s interests are also theirs, that Russian encroachments on sovereign nations would not evade the attention of Western nations. “An attack on one is an attack on all, and so if, in such a moment, you ever ask again, ‘Who’ll come to help?’ you’ll know the answer: the NATO alliance, including the armed forces of the United States of America,” he told a gathering of almost 2,000 Estonians. On Thursday, Obama, UK Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President François Hollande, and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi met with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in a display of fraternity. Obama and Cameron published a joint editorial in the London Times Thursday making clear to Russia the determination of NATO allies in defending one another. Both leaders support a NATO rapid-response force “that could deploy anywhere in the world at very short notice,” something Obama confirmed at his news conference today. In Mongolia on Thursday, in an act seemingly aimed at responding to the activity in Wales, Russian President Vladimir Putin displayed a notebook on which he wrote a seven-point plan peace plan intended to appeal to the ceasefire negotiations. Speaking to reporters next to a golf course in Wales this morning, Poroshenko clarified and confirmed today’s ceasefire news. The agreement was settled upon in Minsk, Belarus, where the Ukrainian and pro-Russian camps met to design a truce after suffering more than 2,600 deaths since the fighting began.
