At the height of the London blitz Dr Lennox Collins, pioneer of the new forensic science,is enlisted by DI Wilkins after prostitute Mary Williams is strangled and a swastika carved on her tongue. Wilkins' chief suspect is shy young Anglo-German Wilfred Ziegler, who found the body but Lennox dismisses this as Ziegler is left-handed and the killer was not.The trail leads to the Metropole club, frequented by Mary, where Lennox's new assistant Molly meets the sinister owner Danny Hastings but then two more women are killed in the same way. A rent boy places closet gay actor Ronald Terry at the scene of the last murder though Terry denies seeing anything. However Lennox and Molly are soon investigating Terry's apparent suicide - which they work out is murder. Lennox takes Hastings' DNA but is attacked by men in gas masks and, when Wilkins is taken off the case after bullying Ziegler into a confession, it looks as if Hastings has corrupt police officers in his pocket. Acting separately Lennox and Molly aim to build a case against Hastings but discover another possible suspect and finally have to challenge a government conspiracy in order to bring the killer to justice.

Dixie is a nickname for the Southern United States.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the origins of this nickname remain obscure. According to A Dictionary of Americanisms on Historical Principles (1951), by Mitford M. Mathews, three theories most commonly attempt to explain the term:
As a definite geographic location within the United States, "Dixie" is usually defined as the 11 Southern states that seceded to form the Confederate States of America. They are (in order of secession): South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee. This definition is strongly correlated with history and, in the minds of many Southerners, remains the traditional South.
In other ways however, the location and boundaries of Dixie have become, over time, more limited, vernacular, and/or mercurial. In popular mindset today, it is most often associated with those parts of the Southern United States where traditions and legacies of the Antebellum South live most strongly.
James Vernon Taylor (born March 12, 1948) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. A five-time Grammy Award winner, Taylor was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
Taylor achieved his major breakthrough in 1970 with the #3 single "Fire and Rain" and had his first #1 hit the following year with "You've Got a Friend", a recording of Carole King's classic song. His 1976 Greatest Hits album was certified Diamond and has sold 12 million US copies. Following his 1977 album, JT, he has retained a large audience over the decades. His commercial achievements declined slightly until a big resurgence during the late 1990s and 2000s, when some of his best-selling and most-awarded albums (including Hourglass, October Road and Covers) were released.
James Taylor was born at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 12, 1948, where his father, Isaac M. Taylor, was a resident physician. His father was from a well-off family of Southern Scottish ancestry. His mother, the former Gertrude Woodard, had studied singing with Marie Sundelius at the New England Conservatory of Music and was an aspiring opera singer before the couple's marriage in 1946. James was the second of five children, the others being Alex (1947-1993), Kate (born 1949), Livingston (born 1950), and Hugh (born 1952).
Bob Dylan ( /ˈdɪlən/), born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941, is an American singer-songwriter, musician and artist. He has been an influential figure in popular music and culture for five decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s when he was an informal chronicler and a seemingly reluctant figurehead of social unrest. A number of Dylan's early songs, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'", became anthems for the US civil rights and anti-war movements. Leaving his initial base in the culture of folk music behind, Dylan's six-minute single "Like a Rolling Stone" has been described as radically altering the parameters of popular music in 1965. However, his recordings employing electric instruments attracted denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement.
Dylan's lyrics incorporated a variety of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences. They defied existing pop music conventions and appealed hugely to the then burgeoning counterculture. Initially inspired by the songs of Woody Guthrie,Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams, as well as the music and performance styles of Buddy Holly and Little Richard, Dylan has both amplified and personalized musical genres. His recording career, spanning fifty years, has explored numerous distinct traditions in American song—from folk, blues and country to gospel, rock and roll, and rockabilly to English, Scottish, and Irish folk music, embracing even jazz and swing.

Carter was born in McLemoresville, Tennessee, and spent many of her early years in Memphis. She attended college at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes College). She was a graduate of Memphis State with a degree in English.

I wish I was in the land of cotton
Old times there are not forgotten
Look away, look away, look away to Dixie Land
[Chorus]
In Dixie Land where i was born
Early on one frosty morn
Look away, look away, look away to Dixie Land
I wish I was in Dixie
Away, away
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand
To live and die in Dixie
Away, away, away down south in Dixie
Away, away, away down south in Dixie
[Chorus]
I wish I was in Dixie
Away, away
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand
To live and die in Dixie
Away, away, away down south in Dixie
Wish I was in the land of cotton
There's a man waiting there
Who'll never be forgotten
Why did I have to go
Why did I go away
It was early on one frosty morning
I left the sleepy town I was born in
I wrote a letter that said I was going
And I laid it beside your bed
And now the concrete hurts my feet
New York's too big a city for me
Back down south from Dixie beside you
Honey is where I want to be
[Chorus:]
And then my cotton gown'll come tumblin' down
I'll make ya feel like a hell of a man
I want to be held tight in your arms tonight
In my sweet old Dixie land
Darling it seems like forever
Does the Mississippi still run free
I miss a little bit of Heaven
And your southern hospitality
These neon lights drive me crazy
I want to lay next to you and be lazy
Where the sweet magnolia blossoms
In the early morning Georgia air
Tonight it looks like snow
But this Gray Hound's starting to roll
I gonna be whistlin' Dixie
All the way back home to you
New york city is a thousand miles away
And if you ask me, I'll tell you that's ok
Now I'm not trying to put the big apple down
'Cause they don't need a man like me in town
I pick cotton down on the dixie line
Work hard all day tryin' to make a dime
But that's allright, that's ok by me
'Cause that's the way that it was meant to be
Big city, hard times don't bother me
I'm a country boy, I'm as happy as I can be
I don't like smoke chokin' up my air
And some of those city folks well they don't care
I don't like cars buzzing around
I don't even want a piece of concrete in my town
I like sunshine, fresh clean air
Makes me feel like you wouldn't care but
That's all right, each to his own
But one smell from the city
And this country boy is gone
Big city, hard times don't bother me
I'm a country boy, I'm as happy as I can be
Well, I don't want to even read about it
Let me tell you something, let me tell you true
What's right for me might not be right for you
Well, you live your way, I'll live mine
And I hope that your happy all the time
I pick cotton down on the dixie line
Work hard all day tryin' to make a dime
But that's all right, that's ok by me
'Cause that's the way that it was supposed to be
Big city, hard times never bother me
I'm a country boy, I'm as happy as I can be
Let me tell ya, I said
Big city, hard times never bother me
I'm a country boy, I'm as happy as I can be
Ooh, that's my way, baby
I don't want you to even tell me about the big city
I wish I was in the land of cotton
old times there are not forgotton
look away - look away
look away - dixie land
In dixie land where I was born
early on one frosty morning
look away - look away
look away - dixie land
Then I wish I was in dixie - away - away
in dixie land I take my stand
I live and die in dixie
I wish i was in the land of cotton
Old times there are soon forgotten
Look away, look away, look away
Dixie land
In dixie land where i was born in
Early on one frosty morning
Look away, look away, look away
Dixie land
Then i wish i was in dixie
Hooray, hooray!
In dixie land i'll take my stand to live or die in dixie
Away, away, away down south in dixie
I wish I was in the land of cotton
old times there are not forgotton
look away - look away
look away - dixie land
In dixie land where I was born
early on one frosty morning
look away - look away
look away - dixie land
Then I wish I was in dixie - away - away
in dixie land I take my stand
I live and die in dixie
Hoy vas a cobrar puro amor,
Hoy vas a cobrar puro amor,
Hoy miras de frente al horizonte,
Hoy te aras una con el sol
Eres mentira el sol no brilla
Y sales de noche,
Todo es un sueño,
Todo es tan falso
Todo es tan frívolo,
Eres mentira el sol no brilla
Y sales de noche
Esta es una noche subliminal,
Es una noche subliminal,
Es una noche subliminal eh!
Y vuelas...
Y vuelas libre,
Y vuelas libre a donde tu mente lo pide
No mas dolor de rodillas
No tienes que disimular esta vez
Y ahora las notas que nunca has tocado
Son las que inundan el cuarto
Hear the Northern thunders mutter!
Northern flags in South winds flutter!
To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
Send them back your fierce defiance!
Stamp upon the cursed alliance!
To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
Chorus:
Advance the flag of Dixie! Hurrah! Hurrah!
In Dixie's land we take our stand, and live or die for
Dixie!
To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie!
To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie
Fear no danger! Shun no labor!
Lift up rifle, pike, and saber!
To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
Shoulder pressing close to shoulder,
Let the odds make each heart bolder!
To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
Chorus:
Advance the flag of Dixie! Hurrah! Hurrah!
In Dixie's land we take our stand, and live or die for
Dixie!
To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie!
To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie
Swear upon your country's altar
Never to submit or falter--
To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
Till the spoilers are defeated,
Till the Lord's work is completed!
To arms! To arms! To arms, in Dixie!
Chorus:
Advance the flag of Dixie! Hurrah! Hurrah!
In Dixie's land we take our stand, and live or die for
Dixie!
To arms! To arms! And conquer peace for Dixie!

O, I wish I was in the land of cotton Old times there are not forgotten Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
In Dixie Land where I was born in Early on one frosty mornin' Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
Chorus: O, I wish I was in Dixie! Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie Land I'll take my stand To live and die in Dixie Away, away, Away down south in Dixie!
Old Missus marry Will, the weaver, William was a gay deceiver Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
But when he put his arm around her He smiled as fierce as a forty pounder Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
Chorus: O, I wish I was in Dixie! Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie Land I'll take my stand To live and die in Dixie Away, away, Away down south in Dixie!
His face was sharp as a butcher's cleaver But that did not seem to grieve her Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land. Old Missus acted the foolish part And died for a man that broke her heart Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
she was touching
my motions
reaching every sensation
while I tasted
the fruits of her love
she was someone
who meant nothing
just a friend worth loving
nothing more
nothing less to me
now I'm deep
in the heart of Dixie
I'm there
and I'll never be free
yes, I'm deep
in the heart of dixie
but Dixie hasn't got
a heart for me
wishin' I could
share forever
knowing she will never..
still I hold on
till she is just a memory
now she is someone
who means everything
and I no one till I just a name
nothing more
nothing less to her
* repeat
now I'm deep
in the heart of dixie
I'm there
and I'll never be free
yes, I'm deep
in the heart of Dixie
but Dixie hasn't got
a heart for me
know Dixie hasn't got
I feel good, I feel bad, I shot a man in Dixie
I did not know his name or who he was
I won't lie, it felt good, when my finger pulled the
Trigger
But I sent a good man to his grave
You know it comes this way, you never change and
All you read about, will make you humble or in doubt,
Tonight
I feel good, I feel bad I broke a heart in Dixie
I did not know her name or who she was
I won't lie, it felt good when my body brushed against
But I made a good girl lose her mind
There are plenty of blond haired girls to go around
Its hard to let you know that I need your help,
I am domino,
Im falling one by one and I dont know why,
And Im sorry tell me that it's easy when its cold you get close to me
Please take away all of these troubles,
I need a brighter sun and okay I'll try another day
My history can tell,
That I repeat myself and I dont know why,
All arguments aside Im wrong and this is mine
And Im sorry tell me that its easy when its cold you get close to me
Please take away
All of these troubles I need a brighter sun
And okay I'll try another day
Tell me that it's easy
When its cold you get close to me
Please take away all of these troubles
I need a brighter sun and Im okay ill try to live
And its easy when it's cold you get close to me
Please take away all of these troubles I need a brighter sun
And okay I'll feel like I was 21
And okay I'll follow you and I'll fight again
