Plot
Octavius Caesar (later renamed Augustus Caesar, son of the murdered Julius Caesar), Marc Antony, and Lepidus form the triumvirate, the three rulers of the Roman Empire. Antony, though married to Fulvia, spends his time in Egypt, living a life of decadence and conducting an affair with Queen Cleopatra. In Antony's absence, Caesar and Lepidus worry about Pompey's increasing strength. Caesar condemns Antony for neglecting his duties as a statesman and military officer. Hearing that his wife, Fulvia, has died and that Pompey is raising an army to rebel against the triumvirate, Antony feels he must return to Rome. Caesar and Antony try to patch up their quarrel through the marriage of Antony to Caesar's sister Octavia. In Egypt, Cleopatra is told that Antony has married and is furious with jealousy. However, when the messenger says that Octavia is not very beautiful, Cleopatra feels confident that she can win Antony back. The triumvirs meet Pompey, who agrees to keep peace in exchange for control of Sicily and Sardinia. When Antony and Octavia leave for Athens, Caesar breaks his truce, wages war against Pompey, and defeats him. After using Lepidus's army to secure a victory, he imprisons Lepidus. Antony learns this with anger; Octavia pleads him to stay friends with her brother. Antony sends her to Rome, then returns to Cleopatra. In Egypt he raises an army to fight Caesar. Antony decides to fight him at sea, although Caesar has the better navy; and he allows Cleopatra to command a ship, ignoring the protests of Enobarbus, his best friend. Enobarbus deserts him and joins Caesar's army, but then in remorse kills himself. Antony's forces lose the battle when Cleopatra's ship flees and Antony's follows, leaving the rest of the fleet vulnerable to attack. Antony swears he will kill Cleopatra, so she sends word that she has committed suicide. Full of grief, Antony commands his attendant to kill him, but the man kills himself instead. Antony then falls on his own sword. Caesar takes Cleopatra prisoner, planning to display her in Rome as a trophy, but she kills herself with the help of several poisonous asps. Caesar has the two lovers buried beside each other.

Antony is an English variant of Anthony (name). It can refer to:
Antony and the Johnsons are a music group presenting the work of Antony Hegarty and his collaborators.
British experimental musician David Tibet of Current 93 heard a demo and offered to release Antony's music through his Durtro label. The debut album, Antony and the Johnsons, was released in 1998. In 2001, Hegarty released a short follow-up EP, I Fell in Love with a Dead Boy, which, in addition to the title track, included a cover of "Mysteries of Love", a David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti song and "Soft Black Stars", a Current 93 cover.
Producer Hal Willner heard the EP and played it to Lou Reed, who immediately recruited him for his project The Raven. Now gaining more attention, Hegarty signed to US-based record label Secretly Canadian, and released another EP, The Lake, with Lou Reed guest-performing on one of the tracks. Secretly Canadian also re-released Hegarty's debut album in the United States to wider distribution in 2004.
Antony's second full-length album, 2005's I Am a Bird Now, was greeted with positive reviews and significantly more mainstream attention. The album featured guest appearances by Lou Reed, Rufus Wainwright, Boy George and Devendra Banhart, and circled themes of duality and transformation. I Am a Bird Now featured arrangements by Maxim Moston and Julia Kent and was mixed by Doug Henderson. In September 2005 Antony and the Johnsons were awarded the Mercury Prize for the best UK album of 2005. Rival Mercury nominees, and favorites for the prize, the Kaiser Chiefs suggested that Antony got in on a technicality; despite the fact he was born in the United Kingdom he spent much of his time in the US — although they later apologized for the suggestion that he wasn't a deserving winner.

Antony Santos is a bachata musician from the Dominican Republic, renowned for his role in redefining the genre to include romantic music.
Santos entered onto the scene in the early 1990s, beginning his career as the guira player for fellow bachatero Luis Vargas, only to leave the group and maintain a very public feud with Vargas that would last until Vargas' career faded into obscurity. Santos became the first rural bachatero to reach a mainstream audience, with his hit "Voy pa'llá", shortly after Blas Durán had introduced the electric guitar into the genre. Santos' adoption of soft romantic lyrics was more socially accepted than the bawdy style common to bachata before him, and he shortly became the genre's leading artist, helping move bachata into the mainstream. Santos has helped define the sound of modern bachata, mainly through his use of a chorus pedal and the Yamaha APX series of guitars (with a Gibson Classic Humbucker mounted in the soundhole).
His hit songs include: "Voy Pa Lla", "Cuantos Dias Mas", "Vete y Alejate de Mi", "Un Muerto Vivo", "Por Mi Timidez", "Pegame Tu Vicio", "Corazon Culpable", "Pequeño Huracan" and "Muchos Cambios" among others
