Birth is a 2004 film directed by Jonathan Glazer and consists of acting performances by Nicole Kidman, Lauren Bacall, Danny Huston and Cameron Bright.
Birth's storyline follows a young protagonist, Anna (played by Kidman), who is portrayed as the daughter of a prominent Manhattan-based family, as she gradually becomes convinced that her deceased husband, Sean, has been reincarnated in the form of a 10 year-old boy (also named Sean). Anna's initial skepticism is swayed by the child's intimate knowledge of the former married couple's life. Despite critical praise for various components of the film, including Kidman's acting and Glazer's direction, Birth generally received mixed reviews.[citation needed]
Distributed by New Line Cinema, the film's worldwide box office earnings total was USD$23,925,492.
In the opening of the film, a male narrator lectures to an unseen audience, explaining that he does not believe in the concept of reincarnation. The viewer then observes the narrator, Sean, running through Central Park in New York City, United States (US), where he subsequently dies of a heart attack. Ten years later, the deceased character's widow, Anna (Nicole Kidman), has accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Joseph (Danny Huston).
[instrumental]
In the beginning there was semen,
In a deep mound of flesh,
And a crest that traveled,
On a wave of their own mess.
Through a tunnel of mucus,
And toward a vault,
With tourists and traffic,
I just paced myself.
Not I as my whole self,
Just the half that I had,
Before greeting the rest,
Of my better half.
A connection was made,
Through the shared love of science,
And vows were taken,
A seed was hired.
A cavern of fluid,
Brought shape to my hide,
In the months that remain,
To the time of my life.
Add thrashed for the reason,
Was spilling from the crack,
To the palms of the doctor,
To a towel full of scraps.
My brains wouldn't fit,
Through her organ sets,
An incision was made,
With a scalpel and mask.
I should have noticed the beauty,
And not how it hurt,
Wet like a cherry,
In the bloodbath of birth.
Drowning into the sea of vanity
Ocean drawn of mans worth
By my god and grace I am reborn
In hatred to kill again
Nature unbound
From beyond the light and dark
My birth descents
Sick delusions of the man
Behold the fall of god
I kill again
Vail eternal
Values tainted and raped
Death takes control
Nature unbound
From beyond the light and dark
My birth descents
Sick delusions of the man
Behold the fall of god
I kill again
Nature unbound
Beyond the dark and light
For those are the lost
You saw the world that we had created before
Your birth.
Is there any chance for you to grow up in it,
In love and peace?
No, because I know that all the attempts to
Change hatred into love, sadness in joy,
Had already gone long time ago into
The dismal abyss of hell
I wish only to save you, the helpless being,
By covering your eyes with my still untouched
soul.
Born in the ravages of wars,
In times of hatred and pain.
Now you are doomed to struggle,
That I keep on losing.
Maybe once the time will come when,
The awaken will enjoy peace and love.
This is your chance, you can achieve it.
Your pure soul will help you in this fight,
With the wraped humanity that ravages everything.
Your pure heart will protect you
against the vile,
Whispers of this world's monsters.

Forever cast out
To lurk among the shadows
Forever cast out
To live as a pariah
Forever doomed, forever marked
To lurk among the shadows
Forever hung with this existence
Forever this
Un-wanting, unending
Darkness
Fear no man
Fear not death
White paper and empty places
The head between my shoulders,
wounded and bleeding badly
I can smell your remorse
Stains all over
Been outside and seen it all
You are the master, you know it all
Made yourself a number
And your time is now
Holding tight, wish you were nearer
Lost my voice, don't want to scream no more
It's like a box and I'm trapped inside
I've been paralyzed
This narrow road ends to a ditch
Been outside and seen it all
You are the master, you know it all
Made yourself a number
And your time is now
You fit in the program
And your blood is fine
The skin is perfect
It's time to build a new nation
this one is about to explode
I lost my mind and my ego
I found my way in other's
Hopes but close to you it felt like home,
Like home
I lost my invitation
To the funeral of love
I still believe but I still doubt,
beyond my window there are
Only Monkeys killing monkeys
Lovers, lovers let the river
Grow and ease the pain
Never, never let them feed
The crows in your head I trusted you,
Will you trust me?
Even if your eyes, start to bleed
I trusted you
Will you trust me?
Even if your eyes, your eyes
Maybe this song could bring you back
Maybe or maybe not
You're my vaccine you're my disease
Beyond my window there are only
Feelings killing feelings
Lovers, lovers let the river
Grow and ease the pain
Never, never let them feed
The crows in your head I trusted you,
Will you trust me?
Even if your eyes, start to bleed
I trusted you
Will you trust me?
Even if your eyes, your eyes
I lost my invitation
to the funeral of your love
I still believe I still doubt
I saw you through the window
I lost my invitation
to the funeral of your love
I still believe I still doubt
I saw you,
I saw you
Lovers, lovers let the river
Grow and ease the pain
Never, never let them feed
The crows in your head I trusted you,
Will you trust me?
Even if your eyes, start to bleed
I trusted you
Will you trust me?
Even if your eyes,
