Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier; February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer, songwriter, and musician whose career spans more than four decades. With a stage show that features guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, boa constrictors, and baby dolls, Cooper has drawn equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a grandly theatrical and violent brand of heavy metal designed to shock.
Originating in Detroit in the late 1960s, Alice Cooper was originally a band consisting of Furnier on vocals and harmonica, lead guitarist Glen Buxton, Michael Bruce on rhythm guitar, Dennis Dunaway on bass guitar, and drummer Neal Smith. The original Alice Cooper band broke into the international music mainstream with the 1971 hit "I'm Eighteen" from the album Love It to Death, which was followed by the even bigger single "School's Out" in 1972. The band reached their commercial peak with the 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies.
Furnier's solo career as Alice Cooper, adopting the band's name as his own name, began with the 1975 concept album Welcome to My Nightmare; in 2011 he released Welcome 2 My Nightmare, his 19th album as a solo artist, and his 26th album in total. Expanding from his Detroit rock roots, in his career Cooper has experimented with a number of musical styles, including conceptual rock, art rock, hard rock, New Wave, pop rock, experimental rock and industrial rock.

He is also a descendant, through his mother, of Brevet Major General Hugh Judson Kilpatrick who was with Union General William T. Sherman in his March through Georgia.
At the age of 3 Cooper was a guest on The Tonight Show on September 17, 1970, appearing with his mother. At the age of 9, he appeared on To Tell the Truth as an impostor. From age 10 to 13 Cooper modeled with Ford Models for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Macy's.

Cooper went out late last night
I heard the slam from her door
Foggy ways, November daze
All the white wolves were smiling
Cooper went out walkin' the clouds
She left everything in a mess
"Shut your mouth when you talk to me"
Her words were always so small
And there's a sound from the telephone
When can I say she's coming home?
Leave me the number you're dialing from
And may I ask who's calling?
May I ask who's calling?
Cooper went out, 3 o'clock sharp
I heard the bells from the church
Someone said they saw a car
Picking her up by the stations
Cooper went out and that's all there is
I'm just no one from next door
Everything will be alright
When all the flowers have cried
Then there's a voice on the telephone
When can I say she's coming home?
Leave me the number you're dialing from
And may I ask who's callin'? (Who's calling?)
May I ask who's calling? (Who's calling?)
Me costó reconocer mi voluntad.
Y olor a despedida
Justo a tiempo para confesar
Su secreto de ayer.
Sin pensar empieza a hablar
Y escapa entre sus risas
Una excusa no pedida,
Ahora todos querrán conocer
Por quién suspira Steph.
Bajo cero en la ciudad,
Bajo cero, qué felicidad,
Susurrándome en francés,
Vas a echar en falta a Steph.
Sale Steph a pasear,
Sólo queda acelerar, otro giro y respirar.
A asfalto y humedad.
Jugando a cara o cruz.
Hoy brindamos por los buenos tiempos,
Abrazados, en silencio
Mientras el cielo se tiñe de azul.
Los sonidos del recuerdo
Me invitan a sentir,
Suenan dentro de altavoces viejos,
Quién se va a resistir.
Chicas que hablan con acento extraño
Venden sueños en el baño
Mientras yo escapo sonriendo de allí.
Qué más da
Todo lo que venga después.
Qué más da
Que mi vida esté del revés.
Ahora me parece un instante,
Nada será ya como antes.
Mantener el equilibrio
No se me da tan mal.
Escondido tras mis gafas negras
No me verás llorar.
Y aunque esté mal voy a seguir igual
Y aunque esté mal voy a seguir igual
Vuelveeeee...
Vuelveeeee...
Vuelveeeee...
Perdidos en el aeropuerto
Oyendo aviones despegar,
Buscando un poco de silencio
Para poder solucionar
En 2 minutos lo que necesita más,
Como siempre, como siempre.
Mentiras de sala de espera,
Retrasos en el monitor,
Un último deseo
Mientras te llaman por el altavoz.
Y repetimos cosas que no son verdad,
Como siempre, como siempre.
Boeing 747 que te vas sin dirección,
Hoy no voy a decirte adiós.
Los dos sabemos qué podemos esperar,
Lo de siempre, lo de siempre.
Perdidos en el aeropuerto
Oyendo aviones despegar.
Te vas volando por el cielo,
