A peasant is an agricultural worker who generally works land owned or rented by/from a noble, with regards to the era. The peasant was bound to the land and could not move or change their occupation unless they became a yeoman (free person), which generally happened by buying their freedom. The peasant also generally had to give most of their crops to the nobles.
The word is derived from 15th century French païsant meaning one from the pays, or countryside, ultimately from the Latin pagus, or outlying administrative district.
Peasants typically make up the majority of the agricultural labour-force in a pre-industrial society, dependent on the civilization of their land: without stockpiles of provisions they thrive or starve according to the most recent harvest. The majority of the people in the Middle Ages were peasants. (Pre-industrial societies have diminished with the advent of industrialization.)
Though "peasant" is a word of loose application, once a market economy has taken root the term peasant proprietors is frequently used to describe the traditional rural population in countries where smallholders farm much of the land. It is sometimes used by people who consider themselves of higher class, more precisely the second and first Estate - these were the Nobility and the Clergy and right at the top was the monarch. As slang to refer pejoratively to those of poorer education who come from a lower income background.
Terence Graham Parry Jones (born 1 February 1942) is a Welsh comedian, screenwriter, actor, film director, author, political commentator, and TV host. He is best known as a member of the Monty Python comedy team.
Jones was born in Colwyn Bay, Wales. The family home was named "Bodchwil". His father was stationed with the RAF in India. When Jones was four-and-a-half, the family moved to Surrey.
Jones was educated at the Royal Grammar School in Guildford, where he was head boy in the 1960-61 academic year. He read English at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, but "strayed into history". He graduated with a 2:1. While there, he performed comedy with future Monty Python castmate Michael Palin in The Oxford Revue.
Jones appeared in Twice a Fortnight with Palin, Graeme Garden, Bill Oddie and Jonathan Lynn, as well as the television series The Complete and Utter History of Britain (1969). He appeared in Do Not Adjust Your Set (1967–69) with Palin, Eric Idle and David Jason. He wrote for The Frost Report and several other David Frost programmes on British television. Along with Palin, he wrote lyrics for the 1968 Barry Booth album "Diversions".
Franz von Suppé or Francesco Suppé Demelli (April 18, 1819 – May 21, 1895) was an Austrian composer of light operas who was born in what is now Croatia during the time his father was working in this outpost of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. A composer and conductor of the Romantic period, he is notable for his four dozen operettas.
Franz von Suppé's parents named him Francesco Ezechiele Ermenegildo Cavaliere di Suppé-Demelli when he was born on April 18, 1819, in Split, Dalmatia, Austrian Empire. His Belgian ancestors may have emigrated there in the 18th century. His father – a man of Italian and Belgian ancestry – was a civil servant in the service of the Austrian Empire, as was his father before him; Suppé's mother was Viennese by birth. He was a distant relative of Gaetano Donizetti. He simplified and Germanized his name when in Vienna, and changed "cavaliere di" to "von". Outside Germanic circles, his name may appear on programs as Francesco Suppé-Demelli.
He spent his childhood in Zadar, where he had his first music lessons and began to compose at an early age. As a boy he had no encouragement in music from his father, but was helped by a local bandmaster and by the Spalato cathedral choirmaster. His Missa dalmatica dates from this early period. As a teenager in Cremona, Suppé studied flute and harmony. His first extant composition is a Roman Catholic Mass, which premiered at a Franciscan church in Zadar in 1832. At the age of 16, he moved to Padua to study law – a field of study not chosen by him – but continued to study music. Suppé was also a singer, making his debut as a basso profundo in the role of Dulcamara in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore at the Sopron Theater in 1842.
Monty Python (sometimes known as The Pythons) was a British surreal comedy group who created Monty Python's Flying Circus, a British television comedy sketch show that first aired on the BBC on 5 October 1969. Forty-five episodes were made over four series. The Python phenomenon developed from the television series into something larger in scope and impact, spawning touring stage shows, films, numerous albums, several books and a stage musical as well as launching the members to individual stardom. The group's influence on comedy has been compared to The Beatles' influence on music.
The television series, broadcast by the BBC from 1969 to 1974, was conceived, written and performed by members Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin. Loosely structured as a sketch show, but with an innovative stream-of-consciousness approach (aided by Gilliam's animation), it pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in style and content. A self-contained comedy team responsible for both writing and performing their work, the Pythons' creative control allowed them to experiment with form and content, discarding rules of television comedy. Their influence on British comedy has been apparent for years, while in North America it has coloured the work of cult performers from the early editions of Saturday Night Live through to more recent absurdist trends in television comedy. "Pythonesque" has entered the English lexicon as a result.
Arturo Toscanini (Italian pronunciation: [arˈtuːro toskaˈniːni]; March 25, 1867 – January 16, 1957) was an Italian conductor. One of the most acclaimed musicians of the late 19th and 20th century, he was renowned for his intensity, his perfectionism, his ear for orchestral detail and sonority, and his photographic memory. As music director of the NBC Symphony Orchestra he became a household name (especially in the United States) through his radio and television broadcasts and many recordings of the operatic and symphonic repertoire.
Toscanini was born in Parma, Emilia-Romagna, and won a scholarship to the local music conservatory, where he studied the cello. He joined the orchestra of an opera company, with which he toured South America in 1886. While presenting Aida in Rio de Janeiro, Leopoldo Miguez, the locally hired conductor, reached the summit of a two-month escalating conflict with the performers due to his rather poor command of the work, to the point that the singers went on strike and forced the company's general manager to seek a substitute conductor. Carlo Superti and Aristide Venturi tried unsuccessfully to finish the work. In desperation, the singers suggested the name of their assistant Chorus Master, who knew the whole opera from memory. Although he had no conducting experience, Toscanini was eventually convinced by the musicians to take up the baton at 9:15 P.M., and led a performance of the two-and-a-half hour opera. The public was taken by surprise, at first by the youth and sheer aplomb of this unknown conductor, then by his solid mastery. The result was astounding acclaim. For the rest of that season Toscanini conducted eighteen operas, all with absolute success. Thus began his career as a conductor, at age 19.

Got me a raygun
Got me an altitude
Can't help feelin' something's wrong
With everyone of you
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Talk revolution
As if it matters now
I don't care anyway
Just give me what I want
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Ooh, honey
Fill me with your little whispers
Store your little nightmares
Of a generation set to burn
Come on honey
Let's go for a ride
Down where the crickets learn and sing and play, baby
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Brother friend
It's not like I want this to end
Sister companion
It's not like I planned to abandon
I have been here before
Your pages get flipped
I can tell by the weight in your face
That you can't be trusted
I have been here before
There's nothing behind it
You can't tell us that we're all together
Like a sea of presidential timber
We are filled up one by one
I like you! I like you!
We feel our heads collapsing
Until we find some kind of space
It comes on slow and then it takes over
Let's be passionate
It's not like we'll get another chance to do this
Don't be embarrassed
Go over the top but come up from the bottom
Let's be passionate
It's not like we'll get another chance to do this
Don't be embarrassed
Your heart, your lips
The parts of your being that I miss
They have seasoned me over the last year
But haven't we been here before
We've got something against the words
When there's nothing behind it
I want to take these little minutes
Try to find myself some space
I want to relive little minutes
Try to keep the dream awake
I want to relive little minutes
But they just keep stacking up on themselves
You can't make it fit when it works like this
If it becomes a job
Let's be passionate
It's not like we'll get another chance to do this
Don't be embarrassed
Go over the top but come up from the bottom
Let's be passionate
It's not like we'll get another chance to do this
Got me a raygun
Got me an altitude
Can't help feelin' something's wrong
With everyone of you
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Talk revolution
As if it matters now
I don't care anyway
Just give me what I want
Inside your head
Trust me instead
Inside your head
Ooh, honey
Fill me with your little whispers
Store your little nightmares
Of a generation set to burn
Come on honey
Let's go for a ride

Inside your head

yeah, it's a motherfucker, oh
You try to dream, but you are not able to sleep
You want to scream, but you can not even speak
You want to walk, but you just started to creep
And when you talk you always feel so weak
A promise you can't keep
Please don't try to flee
It's just a passionate act of desperation
You hear a voice, a voice inside your hear
Some gun that speaks, "I wanna see you dead"
Insane thoughts, that you don't dare to say
Not now, not here and never not this way
Don't try to run away
It's just a passionate act of desperation
It's just a passionate
Just a passionate act of desperation
Your broken heart it beats in fever
It beats in pain, deeper and deeper
It's just a passionate act of desperation
It's just a passionate
Just a passionate act of desperation
Just a passionate
Just a passionate
Just a passionate
Just a passionate
Yeah just a passionate
[Chorus]
Poisoned, Poisoned, taken left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
You're Poisoned, under you're taken, left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
Watch for the liar
He'll steal your soul
They'll take all that you've got
Now you're left with nothing
[Chorus]
Poisoned, Poisoned, you're taken left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
You're Poisoned, under you're taken, left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
Call them up, up on the phone
Give them all that you've got
Savings and your checking account
Now you're left with nothing
[Chorus]
Poisoned, Poisoned, you're taken left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
You're Poisoned, under you're taken, left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
[Lead]
Yaaaooooowww
[Chorus]
Poisoned, Poisoned, you're taken left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
You're Poisoned, under you're taken, left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
[Chorus]
You're Poisoned, under you're taken, left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
[Chorus]
You're Poisoned, under you're taken, left behind
Salvation is screaming,
Scheming, always dreaming
You're Poisoned, Poisoned, Poisoned...
You might pretend that hurt don't apply to you
But I do know how you feel
You like to make me believe that you're fooling me
And don't give a damn about this now
But I hope no matter what you do
No matter what you choose
That you don't lose
That hunger in your life
Oh passionate you
Oh passionate you
I can see it now
I saw the briefest slip
A flash of anger with a single teardrop to explain
How your pain don't hide so easily
Hide anything from me
Now I can see that hunger in your life
Oh passionate you
Oh passionate you
I can see it now
And every time I look at you I see myself
And it tells me I don't ever want nobody else
You don't have to wear it on the outside every time
But I see every joy and every pain in your life
Oh passionate you
Oh passionate you
I can see it now
If I just can't see it now
My love will show you how you're so
Busy night
Tie your boots check your gear
Graduations night tonight
White jeans, dancing shoes
Ain't got control of your drug abuse
Rich boy - Rich girl
Come and see them play
Rich boy - Rich girl
It's a busy night
Busy night
All the pigs don't stand a chance
Everybody is having a blast
All the pigs don't stand a chance
Tonight everybody's living fast
Rich boy - Rich girl
Come and see them play
Rich boy - Rich girl

Those summer nights, those summer nights in bed
You were forcing him to play
You cannot make it right, you cannot make it right again
He's scared now for life
Hey! Will he ever let it out?
And I wonder why doesn't he break down and cry?
How do you feel when he's inside you and he cries?
What's in your head, is it pleasure in your mind?
He didn't know what's right, he didn't know what's right but you did
He was just a kid
On top of a child, on top of a child, it's wrong it's so bizarre
Hey! Will he ever let it out?
And I wonder why doesn't he break down and cry?
How do you feel when he's inside you and he cries?
What's in your head, is it pleasure in your mind?
You're so bad, you're so bad, the poison is in there now and forever
The soul's lost and the ache is blunt, hollow feelings
You killed his youth and hunger,
the mouring wont stop,
addiction's growing.
Masturbation saved his life
It means nothing now
It means nothing now to you
