In the Mahābhārata, Barbarika (IAST Barbarīka) was the son of Ghatotkacha and Maurvi (Ahilawati), daughter of Muru, a Yadava king.
Barbarika was originally a yaksha, and was reborn as a man.
H, among whom his paternal grandfather Bhima was the second one. However, he was bound by his principle of always fighting on the losing side, which led him to stand witness to the battle without taking part.
In Rajasthan, he is worshipped as Khatushyamji, and is believed to have been sacrificed before the Mahabharata war to ensure the victory of his grand-fathers, the Pandavas. In return for his sacrifice, he was deified by a boon given by Krishna.
The legend begins with the Mahābhārata. Barbarika alias Khatushyamji alias Shyam was a grandson of Bhima, Second of the Pandava brothers. He was the son of Ghatotkacha (who in turn was son of Bhima) and Kamkantkata Ma Morwi . Even in his childhood, Barbarika was a very brave warrior. He learnt the art of warfare from his mother. God Shiva, pleased with him, gave him the three infallible arrows (Teen Baan). Hence, Barbarika came to be known by the appellation Teen Baandhaari, the "Bearer of Three Arrows". Later, Agni (the god of Fire) gave him the bow that would make him victorious in the three worlds.

Her Lakme Fashion week Summer/Resort 2012 collection "Circle of life" is a tribute to India's "Saura Tribe" each garment depicting a different phase life, birth, death, etc. The highlights being there paintings, the entire collection is in handloom fabric.
Meena Kumari (1 August 1932 – 31 March 1972), born Mahjabeen Bano, was an Indian movie actress and poetess. She is regarded as one of the most prominent actresses to have appeared on the screens of Hindi Cinema. During a career spanning 30 years from her childhood to her death, she starred in more than ninety films, many of which have achieved classic and cult status today.

Shahu Modak (1918–1993) was an Indian actor who acted in many Hindi as well as Marathi movies. Shahu Modak was mostly famous for the mythological characters that he played. He mostly played the roles of Lord Krishna and Sant Dyaneshwar.
Shahu Modak was born in Ahmednagar in 1918. He was from a Marathi Christian family. He was a renowned astrologer as well, and it is said that he knew his day of judgment in advance. His wife is Pratibha Modak, who was earlier Jain sadhvi. When Shahu Modak had met her, he had predicted with his palmistry skills that one day she will leave her sainthood.
Shahu Modak died in 1993.
Shahu Modak acted in numerous films from 1932 to 1986. He played lord Krishna's character in around 30 movies. He also sang two songs for movie Bharat Milap.
The Rangat Sangat Pratishthan gives this award since 2001 to a senior artist who has been associated with Shahu Modak as an actor. This award is given at the hands of police commissioner since Shahu Modak played the role of a police in film Manoos. Baby Shakuntala, Asha Kale and Sulochana has been some of the recipients of this award.
