A window is a transparent or translucent opening in a wall or door that allows the passage of light and, if not closed or sealed, air and sound. Windows are usually glazed or covered in some other transparent or translucent material like float glass. Windows are held in place by frames, which prevent them from collapsing in. Many glazed windows may be opened, to allow ventilation, or closed, to exclude inclement weather.
The word window originates from the Old Norse ‘vindauga’, from ‘vindr – wind’ and ‘auga – eye’, i.e. "wind eye". In Norwegian Nynorsk and Icelandic the Old Norse form has survived to this day (in Icelandic only as a less used synonym to gluggi), in Swedish the word vindöga remains as a term for a hole through the roof of a hut, and in the Danish language ‘vindue’ and Norwegian Bokmål ‘vindu’, the direct link to ‘eye’ is lost, just like for 'window'. The Danish (but not the Bokmål) word is pronounced fairly similarly to window.
Window is first recorded in the early 13th century, and originally referred to an unglazed hole in a roof. Window replaced the Old English ‘eagþyrl’, which literally means ‘eye-hole,’ and ‘eagduru’ ‘eye-door’. Many Germanic languages however adopted the Latin word ‘fenestra’ to describe a window with glass, such as standard Swedish ‘fönster’, or German ‘Fenster’. The use of window in English is probably due to the Scandinavian influence on the English language by means of loanwords during the Viking Age. In English the word fenester was used as a parallel until the mid-18th century and fenestration is still used to describe the arrangement of windows within a façade.

He grew up in Lanner, Cornwall, enjoying, along with two older sisters, a "very happy" childhood during which they, according to James, "were pretty much left to do what [they] wanted." He "liked growing up there, being cut off from the city and the rest of the world". James attended Redruth School, located in Redruth, Cornwall.
Steven Arthur Pinker (born September 18, 1954, Montreal, Canada) is a Canadian-born experimental psychologist, cognitive scientist, linguist and popular science author. He is a Harvard College Professor and the Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, and is known for his advocacy of evolutionary psychology and the computational theory of mind.
Pinker's academic specializations are visual cognition and psycholinguistics. His experimental subjects include mental imagery, shape recognition, visual attention, children's language development, regular and irregular phenomena in language, the neural bases of words and grammar, and the psychology of innuendo and euphemism. He published two technical books which proposed a general theory of language acquisition and applied it to children's learning of verbs. In his popular books, he has argued that language is an "instinct" or biological adaptation shaped by natural selection. He is the author of six books for a general audience: The Language Instinct (1994), How the Mind Works (1997), Words and Rules (2000), The Blank Slate (2002), The Stuff of Thought (2007), and The Better Angels of Our Nature (2011).
The Basics ( /ˈbæzɪtʃ/ BAZZ-ich) are a three-piece band from Melbourne, Australia, formed by Wally De Backer and Kris Schroeder in 2002. Their style has been described as anything from 'indie-pop' to 'rock'n'roll' to 'pop-rock', though their records show they span a wide range of genres, including reggae, ska, country, and electro-pop. They are "recognised as one of Australia's hardest-working bands".
With close to 1000 shows in their ten-year career, their live performances are well-known for their sense of humour and energy.
The Basics were formed after Kris met Wally at a party in Melbourne. The event was to see off the young aspiring producer, who was about to depart for Los Angeles, and together with a number of musician friends, the two jammed on some blues-rock standards. Later that night, they bonded over a mutual love of The Beatles, 70s and 80s cartoon theme songs and old Sierra adventure games.
Initially, they played around Melbourne as an acoustic guitar/drums combo, starting at The Opposition in Frankston and the House of Fools in Footscray, where in late 2002 they met Michael Hubbard and later invited him to join them on electric guitar. Though lacking any real experience with the instrument, Kris willingly purchased his first bass guitar, and the trio was born. During this time, the group start performing songs with more complicated three-part harmony.
Amethyst Amelia Kelly (born June 7, 1990), better known by her stage name Iggy Azalea is an Australian hip hop recording artist signed to Grand Hustle Records. She is perhaps better known for her promotional songs "Two Times", "Pu$$y" and "My World" whose music videos went viral on YouTube. On 27 September 2011, Azalea released her first project, a mixtape titled Ignorant Art, saying she made it "with the intent to make people question and redefine old ideals".
Iggy Azalea was born Amethyst Amelia Kelly in Sydney, Australia but moved with her family to Mullumbimby when she was still a baby, into a house on 12 acres that her father built by hand from mudbricks in New South Wales. Her father was a comic artist and painter and her mother a real estate agent. Azalea says her father "made her look at [art] as a teenager" which has always influenced her life and work.
Azalea began rapping at age 14. Azalea took her stage name from her family's dog while growing up. Before embarking on a solo career, Azalea formed a group with two other girls from her neighborhood: "I was like, I could be the rapper. This could be like TLC. I’ll be Left Eye." Azalea eventually decided to leave the group because the other girls weren’t taking it seriously: "I take everything I do serious. I’m too competitive."
Look at all the people in the window
I'm checking out the people in the window
I was uncomfortable
Now I'm unfomfortable
The trouble I encountered when I thought it was, it was a window
It was a catalog of many women, men
The window
Window
Window
Slowly I stretch out my arms, freely
Shadows of night disappear
Rise from the slough of despond, find the pathway
Guiding us forward through pastures of dream day
Days to enjoy, peace I knew once before me
Dawning to dusk on the hills until morning
Come see me take my hand
Come see me in my land
Flying invisibly high, watch me
All on a beautiful sky, I'll be
Clear and serene in the love I've discovered
Long search is over, the soul is uncovered
Resting on joy that abounds without ceasing
Bidding farewell to the fears now decreasing
Come see me take my hand
Come see me in my land
High on a golden crested wave she sits
The little nymphs dance in her hair
The trees all beckon to the sky to bless their empty lives
Horizons come to sip wine there
The veiled mist reveals the wandering ship upon the reef
The albatross flies to the stern
But only Jack Frost saw the kiss you gave him in return
Crossing the mountains of truth see them
Soaring majestically high, and then
Stop at the warning light, see it flash brightly
Thunder awakes me, the crashes beside me
Shatters the scene and brings chaos to beauty
Leading us forward where destiny may be
Come see me take my hand
A gaping wound tells the story of it all
A man lost only to find
What was left of his mind?
With no hope of a scar at all
You say, “Go slow”
But something’s right behind me
I can run away for only so long
It will not stop
I will come down
Oh no
Let me find my way
I’ll take you to the edge
Go across that window
And I’ll carry you there
Oh when nothing goes right
Oh when days don’t come tonight
Oh when all I see is the error of my own enemy
A man alone and cut and torn for it
His whole life friend after friend
They’re all a flash in the pan
With no hope of rejoice at all
Let me find my way
(Don’t be scared of what you might be thinking)
I’ll take you to the edge
Go across that window
Turn your eyes from the window so you won't see this world
The walls are closing inward, there's nowhere left to turn
You want it, you need it, the words slip away
Your crying your eyes out, your mind wants to break
Your heart is your weakness, your song plays endlessly
Wonder how you sleep
All your houses crumble
Shadows begin to howl
Spiders on the rooftops
The trapdoor's in ourselves
You want it, you need it, the words slip away
Your crying your eyes out, your mind wants to break
Your heart is your weakness, your song plays endlessly
Wonder how you sleep, it's a wonder to me
So how's it going to feel
When you don't know what's real
You tell yourself it's love, then tear your insides up
So how's it going to feel
When you don't know what's real
You tell yourself it's love, then tear yourself apart
Senses all been fractured
The traitor's in your sights
The hours spinning backwards
There's nowhere left to hide
You want it, you need it, the words slip away
Your crying your eyes out, your mind wants to break
Your heart is your weakness, your song plays endlessly
Wonder how you sleep, it's a wonder to me
So how's it going to feel
When you don't know what's real
You tell yourself it's love, then tear your insides up
So how's it going to feel
When you don't know what's real
You tell yourself it's love, then tear yourself apart
How many people must learn
How many roads must you turn
There's something hiding below
How many tears must you cry
How many buried inside
Until you finally let go
How many years must you fight
How many stories survive
Until the tables will turn
How many days must you brave
How many years must you pay
i am looking at a beautiful window
that window is your eyes
and the only time i saw rainfall
was the day your mother died
and i am looking at a beautiful rainbow
the rainbow is your smile
o, the only time i heard laughter
was the day i took you as my bride
i am looking at a beautiful window
the window is your eyes
o, the only time i saw rainfall
was the day your mother died
and i am walking with my Savior
my Savior walks with me
o, He will guide me up to heaven
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright, yeah, yeah
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
You know that I've been there
When I couldn't find an open door
That's when He consoled me
And showed me what I was looking for
I just wanna take the time to say
His love will never go away
And when all is dark, no light to see
He brings away, oh, my God has
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
I know what you're thinking
It seems that it's too good to be true
But just when I need him
He's known for always coming through
I just wanna take the time to say
His love will never go away
And when all is dark, no light to see
He brings away, oh, you know that God has
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
(It's gonna be alright)
It's gonna all work out fine
(It's gonna all work out fine )
No matter where you are in life
(No matter you are life now)
He's able
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna all work out fine
No matter where you are in life
He's able
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
(It's gonna be alright)
God has given me a window
And I can finally see the light
(Just hold on tight)
(It's gonna be alright)
And though, I felt like going under
I know it's gonna be alright
(Just hold on tight)
Oh, I've found and I believe
That it's true, it's true indeed
No matter what you're going through
God has a window for you
Oh, I've found and I believe
That it's true, it's true indeed
No matter what you're going through
God has a window for you
(It's gonna be alright)
Oh, I've found and I believe
That it's true, it's true indeed
No matter what you're going through
(Just hold on tight)
God has a window for you
(It's gonna be alright)
Oh, I've found and I believe
That it's true, it's true indeed
No matter what you're going through
(Just hold on tight)
God has a window for you
(It's gonna be alright)
Oh, I've found and I believe
That it's true, it's true indeed
No matter what you're going through
(Just hold on tight)
God has a window for you
Once it's clear then this will last forever
Isn't a blissful frenzy condemning night
Nor is it a pain or simply candles glow
Dawn's grey is the halflight long chased away
Having pressed the feeling through and through
This is mine, is mine because of you
No more cooling brow against the window pane
When the heavy mist has freed its rein
Having pressed the feeling through and through
This is mine, is mine because of you
A bird cries O but he laughed the rain
Wet my feathers too flying through this world
As I look up the window and I tell him what I see
As I look up the window what else I found
As I look up the window will I see the sunshine
As I look up the window will I see the clouds in the sky
Witness the transition from a man to a king
Nothing's been given to me, I have earned everything
I deserve much more
This what I worked for
Was, see, settling for no 9 - 5 work force
And it's a damn shame you think that I don't see your campaign
Man, I don't owe you a damn thing
Some of ya mad cause I don't hang aroun' the same corners
I got friends that can't wait to say I changed on em
Time is money and instead you try to keep me in debt
Acting like a nike sponsor, try to keep me in check
Name the best to the best and I am better than that
I'm the answer to the questions that have never been asked
You can love me like the favorite, you can hate me like a laker
Long as you know I am a genius you should call me amadegous
Mixed with I see davis, lyrically I am savior
Maybe in god's image so you can call me the greatest
Disrespected, neglected
All in my faith and tested
Never thought like a victim, I took my losses as lessons
Hated all of my bosses, aggravated my teachers
Cause they saw my potential but knew I would never reach it
Man I hated school, I picked my major but that ain't made me no major move
And every day was like a living hell but still I made it, graduated
And I lived to tell I look out the window and wonder if I wanna fail
[Chorus:]
As I look up the window and I tell him what I see
As I look up the window what else I found
As I look up the window will I see the sunshine
As I look up the window will I see the clouds in the sky
All of my friends moved away and I left alone
Wondering who is here my college was making me lose hair
Was planning to move to New York but I was too scared
Was time to tell my family just give me two years
Cause 2 years turned to 5 and 5 turned to 10
And prob wouldn't let them see the pressure setting in
Lock yourself in a room doing five piece a day for 7 summers
Man it's some you can never stomach
Blow is coming at me acting like they know the way
Disrespect me and say I'm just my friend's protégée
Like I haven't been working for years on my own, writing rhymes, doing songs making beats all at home by my lone some
My time is now that's irrelevant how could somebody name Omen be some heaven sent
Wonder if opportunity was always quipped and sheered
The story of the man never ever perseveres
[Chorus:]
As I look up the window and I tell him what I see
As I look up the window what else I found
As I look up the window will I see the sunshine
If you could roll the window down, I'm feeling crowded, and getting real nauseous. If you could let the forcefield down...I swear I'm trying to make conversation. If I could let my hair grow out, then I could prove that I'm not so impulsive. If I could let my feelings out, then I could show you that I have been thinking that we'd have gotten farther if we never even started at all.
I'll meet you for coffee, let's say four. That way it's crowded and less complicated. Let's try and get this over now. I've set the setting of great mass destruction. If we're trying, we can strum things down. I just don't think I have got this left in me. If I try and tell you in words now how much I need you and know I'll sorry. 'Cause we'd have gotten farther if we never even started at all.
[If you could roll that window down.... If you could roll that window down....]
[Chorus:]
I see a window over your head [x3]
And it's pouring out blessings
[Verse 1:]
You've been in a season of difficult lessons
Trying to do your best in this economic depression
As long as you try you will survive
Your friends and family cannot help you
And even in your struggle they need help too
You'll be ok, I just wanna say that
[Chorus]
[Verse 2:]
I see a window open, you've been copin, you've been hopin, you've been prayin
Now it's your hour, blessings falling like you're standin in the shower
It's hard to believe it, gotta give some away cause it's hard to receive it all
You break down, you cry,
Is it Christmas in July, nah
Breakthrough, miracles now you gotta tell it
Big ones fallin, I think you need a helmet
Yeah, didn't quit but you stood instead
And a blessing just bust you in the back of your head
Oh, Oh there goes another one
Give your mommy, daddy, sister, and your brother one
You're a believer the doubt is over
You're a receiver the drought is over
I was staring out the window
The whole time he was talking to me
It was a filthy pane of glass
I couldn't get a clear view
As he went on and on
It wasn't the outside world I could see
Just the filthy pane that I was looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I was never focused on just one thing
My eyes got fixed when my mind got soft
It may looked like I'm concentrated on a very clear view
But I'm as good as asleep
I bet you didn't know
It takes a lot of it away if you do
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
Because the fact in fact
Whatever's in front of me is covering my view
So I can't see what I'm seeing in fact
I only see what I'm looking through
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
So again I've done the right thing
I was never worried about that
The answer's always been in clear view
But even when the window's clean
I still can't see for the fact
That when it's clean it's so clear
I can't tell what I'm looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
I had to break the window
It was in my way
Better that I break a window
Then forget what I had to say
Or miss what I should see
[Intro: Dr. TC]
Tyler we ah, I know it's short notice but I brought all your friends here
For some reason I couldn't get a hold of Taco and Jasper
But, I just brought all your friends to talk to you
Because, they're really worried about you
I thought it would be better if, they could talk to you
[Verse 1: Domo]
It was all a dream, I used to read Complex magazines
When I rhyme I'm tryna get pictures in High Times
Smoke trees and see my dreams hanging in the sky line
Swanton bomb off the bed into a fine dime
In my mind I'm just tryna smoke the finest
And get high sticking bad heinas in vaginas
I'm the flyest when it come to this, fire when I come to spit
I am getting higher when the lighter comes in front of this
I'm a stoner yeah, yeah, yeah you get the picture now
30 thousand feet gonna make it hard for me to simmer down
Another flight, another beat, another city, wow
Thus another couple bitches crying when I kick 'em out
Where we at? We on top of the world
[Verse 2: Frank]
And five minutes from suicide, I biked it to the park
I walked onto the block, met a guy, burgundy 'Preme snap-back
Hurling himself and cars, and flirting with blonde Cadillacs
All was great, all was great, Frankie had the blues in fact
Bunch of pale hipster girls, pretty, but they booty flat
Teenage males, couldn't tell, I was going through
And had a wallet full of cream, Amex Green, Beamer almost black
Parked in front the studio Bastard's recorded at
Earl, Gilbert, Tyler, Hodgy, Domo, Left, Taco, Nakel
Sydney, Lionel, Juan, Michael, Jasper, Hal and Matt
Bet I'm missing several but I had to bring that pattern back
We live inside a house that says fuck 'em on the welcome mat
Deep inside the ear canals of Bill O'Reilly's daughter that's
Where I'm at? Now where we at? Wolf Gang, where we at?
[Verse 3: Hodgy]
Swell motions get promotions, to my whole team
Hell yeah I smoke weed cause I like to go green
Professor Beats educates niggas, let me proceed
Shine chandelier bright mike, if your nose bleeds
We at Randy's ordering that 306
Milk and glaze is the greed gold mix me
Your bitch is coming along, yeah she hum to my song
Singing like they were for her, but they were for the blur
No longer, but we working, premature, immature
She's unsure, I'm for sure, blouse and dress and my shirt
On the floor then pick it up, out the door, door
Chased an imaginary friend, a reverie absorption
Impregnate the dream 'til it has an abortion
Where we at? We on top of the world
[Verse 4: Mike]
Everything they say I'd never have, I'm seeing
Now, I bet they see that we balling like All-Star Weekend
Always been the most cool, they chase our shade
They say life switches pace when you got shit made
So I'm just tryna get paid, don't you remember the days
When your dreams were the only thing that kept you sane
And too often they think that they could stop me
Now every show we makin' half a Maserati
And the only thing blocking me is paparazzi
Now it's gold Rolex's if they try to clock me
Everything stays in the box like fighters in hockey
Miss me if you're thinking we slack, work hard
I got the world saying every single Friday is black
Took your bitch, you ain't getting her back, cause she know
Where we at nigga? We on top of the world
[Interlude: Tyler]
Where we at, niggas?
Where the fuck we at, man? You niggas don't know me, huh
Where we at?
[Verse 5: Tyler]
Down to fucking Earth, huh, down to fucking Earth, huh
Fuck everybody, here goes some extra girth Sir
You fucking critics are making my nerves hurt
Since I'm saying fuck everybody I guess that I'm a fucking pervert
My window is a book and I'm a fucking crook
Stealing phones to call home but the line is off the hook
My mom ain't paid the bill, guess I can't pay it either
I ain't signed a fucking deal yet but when I do
Clancy and Dave are to take a percentages that
Could pay the whole city's fucking mortgage
Hopefully I make a lot porn from touring in fucking Oregon
From playing piano organs and hopefully I can pay the bill
Shit is getting real, people begin to feel
Like I'm changing, but their complaining making big fucking deals
About some shit, they bitch and pout (Can we get backstage man?)
No, faggot, it's sold out (Come on why you holding out
I though we was boys, without me, you wouldn't be Tyler the Creator
You're from the Derby, I can tell whenever you perform
A leopard can't change it's spots) But I'm a fucking unicorn
(Whatever man) Look, you can't stop me, I'm going full monty
Fuck that, I'm Hitler, everyone's a fucking Nazi
Wolf Gi-di-dang you be roaming where the fox be
And I be where, anybody cares
I try to preach "Fuck age, live dreams, and have fun"
(Here's some give a fuck, cake) Oh, maybe I should have some
(Asshole, have none) How can I wake up on the wrong side
Of the bed, when I don't even fucking have one?
When I'm on that stage I feel important
A whole fucking assortment of children that's taking Ritalin
Because the teacher said that the therapist wasn't feeling him
You gotta be fucking kidding me
At school I was a zero, now I'm every boy's hero
And they fear it you can hear it when that little fucker's reciting my lyrics
Yeah rebel nigga cheer it, dead parents everywhere
It's smelling like teen spirit... okay, fuck it, Elvis has left the building
[Outro:]

[Tyler:]

[Dr. TC:]
I'm going to give you some space... so you can figure all of this out...
[Music stops]
[Dr. TC:]
takin' in the sights
from my window seat
from the Third World poor
to the land of the free
back at home it's tony night
in Tinseltown you know it
don't mean nothin' to
the down and out
from my window
window to the world
from my window
window to the world
some people born
with a Bible in their hand
spend their life and money
lookin' for the promised land
some people only know
what they see on tv
some people say it's just
part of the plan
Chorus
lookin' out my window
on a busy street below
three in the morning
someone somewhere's
takin' a blow
the girls move in circles and
the drunks spin in loops
there's a jinxed walk to nowhere
that the dealers do
and it's a tightrope
just don't look down
every day in life we're walkin'
that shadow line
Chorus
Lyrics by Steve Phillips
They're making you believe
That what they sell is what you need
Your decadence starts your decay
Bullshit lies is what you've seen
Censorship on the screen
This is your window to the world
You work - you spend
This trend will never end
Why don't you open up your eyes?
The truth - they hide
No doubt the news has lied
Why don't you open up your mind?
This ain't what life's about
Dislocate
That ain't the real thing
It's a fake
I don't beliefe a word
Deviate
Have it your own way
Consuming all we can
Wealth and stature make a man
Unto this screen you are a slave
Images of what is in
Controls your mind until the end
This is your window to the world
You work - you spend
No time to make amends
Into a wonderland you're hurled
The truth - they hide
Of wars when lands collide
Is this your window to the world?
This ain't what life's about
Dislocate
That ain't the real thing
It's a fake
I don't beliefe a word
Deviate
I was staring out the window
The whole time he was talking to me
It was a filthy pane of glass
I couldn't get a clear view
As he went on and on
It wasn't the outside world I could see
Just the filthy pane that I was looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I was never focused on just one thing
My eyes got fixed when my mind got soft
It may looked like I'm concentrated on a very clear view
But I'm as good as asleep
I bet you didn't know
It takes a lot of it away if you do
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
Because the fact in fact
Whatever's in front of me is covering my view
So I can't see what I'm seeing in fact
I only see what I'm looking through
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
So again I've done the right thing
I was never worried about that
The answer's always been in clear view
But even when the window's clean
I still can't see for the fact
That when it's clean it's so clear
I can't tell what I'm looking through
So I had to break the window
It just had to be
Better that I break the window
Than him or her or me
I had to break the window
It just had to be it was in my way
Better that I break the window
Then forget what I had to say
I had to break the window
It was in my way
Better that I break a window
Then forget what I had to say
Or miss what I should see
Or breaking him or her or me
Staring out the window you
lose yourself
you lose yourself there's no
one else
standing in the corner you're
out of place
you're out of place... outer space
you're outerspace, fell
from grace
you're far, far and away
and it's far and away
screaming out the window you
lose your breath
you lose your breath, need a rest
you need a rest welcome death
Won't you take this weight up of my back
I don't know how it got to be like that
Getting lost sounds good to me' You wind up where you
should be
You never really miss the thing that pass
Won't you take this thorn out of my side
Wont you let my soul and sprit ride
Feel the words and watch you lips touching heaven's
finger tips
And I know it is just below my eyes
And I know what I don't know
I can until I can't
I am until I realized
I'm skin and bones and sand
I see what I don't see
It gets to me somehow
I'm free but I am not free
Cause I keep looking down
Open up, open up the window
Open up the window
There's so many people you could be
Why not stop a while and stay with me
You could leave them all behind, they're never very had
to find
I know they will be here when you need
And I know what I don't know
I can until I can't
I am until I realized
I'm skin and bones and sand
I see what I don't see
It gets to me somehow
I'm free but I am not free
Cause I keep looking down
Open up, open up the window
Open up the window
And if this plane goes down (plane goes down)
I will feel the wind on my face (I will feel the wind
on my face )
And if this plane goes down (plane goes down)
We can spend the time that it takes to talk about where
we're going (We can spend the time that it takes )
We could go without ever knowing (we can spend the time
that it takes) (we could go there)
The beauty of never knowing (we can spend the time that
it takes) (never knowing)
I know what I don't know
I can until I can't
I am until I realized
I'm skin and bones and sand
I see what I don't see
It gets to me somehow
I'm free but I am not free
Cause I keep looking down
I know what I don't know
I can until I can't
I am until I realized
I'm skin and bones and sand
I see what I don't see
It gets to me somehow
I'm free but I am not free
Cause I keep looking down
I keep looking down
I keep looking down
If I remember it now
I get depressed
But at the time man
She was possessed
She was possessed by me
And she didn't really want to be
It's been a year back home
Shopping for one man
Living alone
More than you know
It's wasted and where did it go?
A whole year man
Rolled up and blown
Through my window
Oh window
Oh window
Oh window
Oh oh window
Oh my my memory
Just won't let her go
Like watching TV but I can't change the show
The past is haunting me
And it's really an anomaly
I step into the sun
Stretch out my legs man
Go for a run
And I just flow
Exhausted I head on back home
Take a bath and
And let it blow through my window
Oh window
Oh window
Oh window
Oh oh wind-
There's just some things I didn't know oh
There's a few things I think that she didn't show oh
Through my window
Uh oh
Window (window)
Oh window (window)
Oh oh wind-
Oh window
(No no no window
It s almost true: You don t expect to follow, watching
what you do. I talked my way, half the night in
overdrive, with nowhere else to stay: afternoons spent
inside crashing on the shadows in the room, wrapped in
your reigns. Gone along, you won t forget who s standing
out of frame.
Kick and run:
It doesn t fall far from the road and someone s going to
Shake it out:
Remember what you d wanted from the embers floating down.
Aren t you cold?
Standing by my window (curtained up and closed)
yesterday. I let the door fly open, broken just the same.
It s all so new, though I ve known you from somewhere I
was only falling through. Save your time, coming out with
You been sleeping with your tears
and a pillow soaking wet
i been leaving you for years
but i haven't met you yet
chorus:
could you discover me before i go too far
before i close the window to my heart
everyone is so afraid of letting down their guard
everyone makes a great escape before it gets too hard
but you'll discover me before i go too far
before i close the window to my heart
bridge:
when the wind blows and the leaves begin to fall
you can close your eyes and pretend not to notice at all
but every now and again you'll be waiting on a call
that very well may not ever come
there's no shelter from a cold hard wind
when the sun disappears in the west
but we'd never be cold again
if i could hold you to my chest
chorus
bridge
now way back off the highway
in the woods down past the farm
i'll be wrapped up in the darkness
that should have been your arms
if you'd discovered me before i went too far
before i closed the window to my heart
[Fes Taylor:]
Cause haters don't want me to shine
They trying to push me right offa my grind, it's bout time
It's G-Unit/Koch, Fox told me bring the Mazzaradi
When it come out, I'm like the sun out
Shine play the shine, with the haters salute
Nowadays, lay in the coupe, I'm just waiting to shoot
Behave in the booth, like the kid slave in Roots
Taylor Made, knock Tiffany's boots
True to the game, I manuever in lanes
Out in L.I., go see my beautiful chain
Free L.I., looking much cooler in the range
So I can Punky Brewster, again
Holla, I'm getting dollars, no Pradas
Nike Air joggers, you niggas like Frogger
Trynna cross the road, crushed by a semi
I live the street life, just trynna get by
[Chorus: Fes Taylor (w/ Flip)]
I'm looking out my window (trapped inside the rocks)
Smoking on this indo (hand up on the glock)
I'm just trynna make it to the top
And they all at the bottom waiting for me to flop
I tell 'em, get off, get off, get off, mines
I tell 'em, get, get, get off mines
[Fes Taylor:]
See niggas wanna be me, steal a style from me
Hate around, jacking my swag, sit it down for me
You a clown, homey, now they know me as
G-5 Taylor, see you niggas on the ground, homey
My flight plans like night grams of Pan Am
Now it's probably playland out in San Fran
Still kick a nigga ass like Van Damme
Exercise, bullets that have 'em doing handstands
You don't stand a chance, hard enough to start fights
And the party still smooth enough to make 'em dance
You see we getting cake in advance
Acres of land, so I talk B.I., paper in hand
I'm a boss C.I., snitching, I don't understand
Tell you probably feel safer in the can
Trust me, you don't like me, then bust me, or rush me
Do something about it, yeah, nigga I doubt it
(Baby Talking)
There's a Color and a shape to the night
I'm not suprised you never wanted me to Notice
When the darkness is covering and covering everything
I can feel it in my hands I try to hold it but it slips away
Away
Away
Away
The empty desert bowl
And my belly's getting ______ down to the sand
And all thats left at dawn is ashes
No more blood or bones
and the green sun in my heart
although its always burning never keeps me warm
I'm always riding in its flames
Flames
Flames
Flames
And if it isnt clear
Then clear the way for something dear
And if you try
I'll try not to explain
Open u p your window to the world
If you want the world to bring you happiness
And pain
Pain
Pain
I wanted to be like a window
That you look inside
Cause I can paint you the world like you want it
Just give me time
And all we’ve been working on
Means more to me than life
So give it a moment now, it will work itself out
Meanwhile, I'll be your confession
Your secrets are safe with me
I wanted to be like a rainbow
Up in the sky
Cause I can show you the way to my treasure
Just give me time
And all we’ve been fighting for will find its rest in me
I’ll give you my answer when you can finally answer me
Meanwhile I’ll be your confession
Your secrets are safe with me
Cause when rain falls like rivers
Just close your eyes
It’s the long-winded winters that takes your life
But when life is defeated, just give it time
But when love leaves you bleeding, leave love behind
And runnnnnn
I wanted to be like the ocean
With it’s flowing tides
Cause I can take you away for hours
In a luhh-llaby
And sit to the setting sun just to see it rise again
With soft spoken words were lost
And the tide of the sweet begins
Meanwhile, I'll be your confession
Your secrets are safe with me.
Cause when rain falls like rivers
Just close your eyes
It’s the long-winded winters that take your life
But when life is defeated- just give it time
But when love leaves you bleeding, leave love behind
And ru-uuunn, ooh ooo
You can ruuunnnn
If its love you’ve been lookin’ for
Then baby come to me
Meanwhile I’ll be your confession
