Minnesota (i/mɪnɨˈsoʊtə/) is a U.S. state located in the Midwestern United States. Minnesota was carved out of the eastern half of the Minnesota Territory and admitted to the Union as the thirty-second state on May 11, 1858. Known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes", the state's name comes from a Dakota word for "sky-tinted water". Those waters, together with forests, parks, and wilderness areas, offer residents and tourists a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities.
Minnesota is the 12th most extensive and the 21st most populous of the U.S. states. Nearly 60% of its residents live in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area (known as the "Twin Cities"), the center of transportation, business, industry and education and home to an internationally known arts community. The remainder of the state consists of western prairies now given over to intensive agriculture; deciduous forests in the southeast, now cleared, farmed and settled; and the less populated North Woods, used for mining, forestry, and recreation.
Armour let it through, borne the arboretic truth you kept posing
Sat down in the suit, fixed on up it wasn’t you by finished closing
Ramble in the roots, had the marvel, moved the proof be kneeled fine’s glowing
Storing up the clues, it had its sullen blue bruised through by showing
Settle past a patience where wishes and your will are spilling pictures
Water’s running through in the valley where we grew to write this this scripture:
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Not for a part in any gamut of the dark
Doubled in the toes annex it, it minute closed in the morning
Did not lose it in the stack’s stow, imma lay that call back on ya
You know it won’t beseech you, we’re laying in an open field
I will let you grow, no need to know this
So carry on my dear, what is clear up in the daylight is we’re hung here
Fall is coming soon, a new year for the moon and the Hmong here
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
All that it seems
Bellows tracing through the streams
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
Never gonna break
All at its seams
I made Minnesota my home tonight
It's not like the picture in my mind
'Cause I was so alone it killed tonight
I'd tell any soul if I could find one
'Cause I want to believe her
I want to believe
I want to believe her
I want to believe
I want to believe her
I want to believe
I've been burning down all my yesterdays
I can't stick around to see the smoke
'Cause we're on our way, and we don't care where
There's no time to sit around and mope
'Cause I want to believe her
I want to believe
I want to believe her
I want to believe
I want to believe her
I want to believe
I feel alright it's a Minnesota night
You've got nothing left to show me but you're smile
Stars so bright on this Minnesota night
Can we cut the conversation for a little while?
So please don't say that you don't know how
'Cause if you can talk then you can sing
So lets run away lovely Laura Leigh
And won't you take this diamond ring
'Cause I want to believe her
I want to believe
I want to believe her
I want to believe
I want to believe her
I want to believe
I feel alright it's a Minnesota night
You've got nothing left to show me but your smile
Stars so bright on this Minnesota night
Coming out of Minnesota
I could see the stars had fallen out of line
I look too deep into your words and try to live in mine
I saw you comin' in the front door
I couldn't tell what you were thinking
But I would bet on it for damn sure
We were about to get into it again
Put me through hell, swallow your pill
If you don't know who will
Put me through hell, swallow your pill
If you don't know who will
Your going to put me through it again
And as Hemingway said the sun it also rises
I only saw it set except those all nighters
And do you want to stay up, I know where this ends up
I saw you comin' in the front door
I couldn't tell what you were thinking
But I would bet on it for damn sure
We were about to get into it again
Put me through hell, swallow your pill
If you don't know who will
Put me through hell, swallow your pill
If you don't know who will
Is this the only solution?
Your going to put me through it again
Is this the only solution?
Your going to put me through it again
Swallow your pill now your patients is running out
Swallow your pill you can't help to scream or shout
It makes me sick, is all is all
It makes me sick, is all is all
It makes me sick, is all is all
It makes me sick, is all is all
Is this the only solution?
Put me through hell, swallow your pill
If you don't know who will
Put me through hell, swallow your pill
If you don't know who will (know who will)
Your going to put me through it again
If you don't know who will
Your going to put me through it again
Is this the only solution?
If you don't know who will
Well its the only solution?

Time moves in funny stages
Fluttering through the night air like moths
Glimpses of weary faces
Pale like flower, like chalk
Patience now, it’s me again
Do you have a light for my cigarette?
I’ve been trying so hard
To forget
Time picks the strangest wages
The more you earn, the more you owe
Your face, it barely ages
Just a line for every secret you know
Half the facts are all we’ve got
We ain’t ready for the second half yet
And I have been trying so hard
To forget
I tell you this but don’t repeat it
At least don’t connect it to my name
I’ve never felt so defeated
Tell me this is all just a game
Ask now
Walk now
Well I see this is getting you upset
I’ve been trying so hard
To forget
Oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
Oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
Oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
Oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
Oh, oh oh oh
It’s midnight in the morning
The moon is where the sun should be
It’s casting ghostly shadows
And looking down on me
It’s midnight in the morning
My baby’s up and gone
The rooster and the crow wait
It’s just waiting for the dawn
It’s midnight in the morning
The stars are where the sun should be
They’re hanging there suspended
And looking down on me
It’s midnight in the morning
I feel so far away
And my time is the ocean
I’ll be swimming toward the day
Yea, I was in confusion
And the bats are gold as sky
There’s a warm and it’s blurry
But it’s sinister and dry
It’s midnight in the morning
And I can’t see the light of dawn
It’s like the world stopped its turning
And everything feels wrong
It’s midnight in the morning
I’m broken up inside
I’m on the edge of madness
High wind tearing up the trees
Tension finally gets released
And you, not to be adorn
Break into a rock
Running through the leafs
Is a 1000 blackbirds fall
From a simple sky on New Year ’s Eve
Oh shit, I forgot my kiss
Now it’s time for us to flee
And we’ll have to catch a buss
With an hour to discuss
To laugh and then to grieve
Is a 1000 blackbirds fall
From a simple sky on New Year ’s Eve
Notice the air is thick as brass
Woke up, clouds are drifting past
And we’re in bed and making love
Chinese satellites above
Oh, what man conceives
Is a 1000 blackbirds fall
The moon glows red when it comes near
It will pierce your soul like a poisoned spear
You’ll be nothing but lost, an empty desire
Like you’re made of ash & chickenwire
Come out, come out ‘fore it’s too late
Now don’t you pause a visitee
He’ll bring you all that you require
‘Til you’re nothing but ash & chickenwire
She’ll break you down so neatly
You’ll never have felt more alone
She’ll break your heart so completely
And take from you everything you own
You’ll set aside and chained
‘Til there’s not a drop of blood running through your
veins
She’ll burn you like a chemical fire
You’ll be nothing but ash & chickenwire
She’ll break you down so neatly
You’ll never have felt more alone
She’ll break your heart so completely
And take from you everything you own
The rain hits up when she comes by
Vultures circle in the sky
Her possess, her lips inspire
‘Til you’re nothing but ash & chickenwire
You’ll be nothing but ash & chickenwire
Nothing but ash & chickenwire
She’s at this to gut your throat
Nothing but ash & chickenwire
Change is about to come
You’ll be nothing but ash & chickenwire
She’s at this to gut your throat
You’ll be nothing but ash & chickenwire
Change is about to come
Nothing but ash & chickenwire
What’s it means to me
It’s far beyond expression
I’m grateful for everything she’s done
I’d move mountains for my love
There’ll be no hesitation
I shine on her just like the blazing sun
I’m more than I have to be
But I know that she’s behind me
I don’t need no diamonds, no special recognition
Don’t need more than both my hands can hold
I’ll be satisfied in all of ambition
Brings a joy and comfort to a soul
And nothing puts my mind at ease
Like when I know that she’s behind me
It’s nothing to avert
Well it’s more like due than rain
It’s just the sense you carried with you
In the darkness and the pain
This thought I care, it makes me free
Cause I know that she’s behind me
Some in search up high
They miss all the small things
The subtle shades of what makes living real
Hey now, don’t you see?
It’s so much order of all things
Is that isn’t what you got, it’s how you feel
And it feels so good to see
That my baby’s right behind me yea
Well it’s nothing to avert
It’s more like due than rain
It’s just the sense you carried with you
In the darkness and the pain
This thought I care, it makes me free
Oh arabesque
Ever becoming which I’m not
You’re always dreaming of a stronger light
Oh arabesque
All of the patterns in your faith
All into locking, you’re invincible
Strange noises from behind your door
How I long to be inside
Speak you voices that I can’t ignore
If it weren’t for you I swear I would’ve died
Oh arabesque
I see you suffer with your sins
Loving is easy when you fall in love
Oh arabesque
My movie’s running and it’s late
So call me tomorrow and I’ll stay with you
Strange noises from behind your door
How I long to be inside
Speak voices that I can’t ignore
If you weren’t there for me I swear I would’ve died
You see tomorrow is opening
With the speaks for us and the sigh
You and I, we get stuck between
Your feelings and my pride
Oh arabesque
I didn’t mean to make you sad
All I was trying to do is sing for you
Oh arabesque
Do you remember when we met?
Do you remember all the silences?
Strange noises from behind your door
How I long to be inside
Speak voices that I can’t ignore
If you weren’t there for me I swear I would’ve died
Change is about to come
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Get your light on, show your face
We’re going to a better place uhuh
How you want this ride to go?
Up and down til it overflows
Run your fingers through your blood
Stick your feet down in the mud
How you want this soul to fly?
Up and into a suffering sky
Shake your pelvis and your shoulder bones
Open your jaws, let out a moan
How you want this bird to sing?
Like a slight trombone or a velvet rain?
Fill you up til you explode
Send you running for your life down a cemetery road
Change is about to come
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Get your light on, show your face
We’re going to a better place uhuh
(Feel warmth til the break of dawn)
How you want this ride to go?
Up and down, fast or slow?
Shake it til your heart gets weak
Til you can’t stand, til you can’t speak
No you here come this missile strike
Green on red, red on white
Let it show your black proton to shit
Step aside, we’re moving in
Change is about to come
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Get your light on, show your face
We’re going to a better place uhuh
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Open your jaws, let out a moan
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Fill you up til you explode
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Send you running for your life down a cemetery road
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Shake it til your heart gets weak
Hitchhiker, stick out your thumb
Put on your boots, button up your coat
Put a thick wool scarf ‘round your throat
Put on your gloves, protect your hands
Now cast your eyes across the land
The wind is stronger than a grown man’s pride
The Mississippi river is a mile wide
Turn up the heat, just pick up speed
You can’t outrun the things you need
It’s in the trunk, it’s moving around
Put on the radio and drown out the sound
The current is fast, there’s no place to hide
Cold lightning cracks the sky
Sixteen stallions going by
No strength to stand, no will to fight
Every corner, every block
Rolling het, waves of shock
Til it kick you out of spot
I got kissed by Suzie Q
Left my balls black and blue
Eyes are black and turned white
Guess I lost my concentration
Guess my prayers were all in vain
It’s an ice-cold sensation
Your part’s pleasuring yea
Get ahead, you fall back
West bound train off the track
Touch cloud rolls to oppose the night
(Death by snakebite)
Finally you’re down to the river side
Water deep, black and white
Swim across, took you all your might
(Death by snakebite)
Guess I lost my concentration (lost my concentration)
Guess my prayers were all in vain (all in vain)
It’s an ice-cold sensation
Your part’s pleasuring yea
Clear as glass, pure as fire
Been adrift on my telephone wire
Keep it close, made to hold men tight
Death by snakebite
I don’t need no antidote
Just keep it warm with your over cold
I’m a little dizzy but I feel alright
Death by snakebite
Death by snakebite
Death by snakebite
Death by snakebite
Death by snakebite
Don’t be in the city
Don’t be in the city
Don’t be in the city when the sun goes down
The saints, they go looking for the higher ground
Can’t you hear the screaming tearing up the trees?
Oh the devil’s coming out of deep freeze
Oh my baby, won’t you take my hand?
There’s nothing I can tell you that you’ll understand
Throw away your pharaoh, it’s nothing but disease
Oh the devil’s coming out of deep freeze
Run run run just fast as you can go
Boat is in the river and it’s time to row
We’re sailing on the still water quick as please
Oh the devil’s coming out of deep freeze
Climb with your arms, climb til you can’t get higher
Rise with the heat ‘fore your blood turns into ice
Climb with your fingers til you reach that heaven and
fire
Lift yourself up, baby that’s my best advice
It’s stringing up the rigors, the faggots and the jews
They’re never out of victims, it’s getting hard to
choose
They pray for restoration down on their knees
Oh the devil’s coming out of deep freeze
Ask you for directions and get a man killed
The doctors digging graves just to get them refilled
The earth is made of fire, the moon is made of cheese
Oh the devil’s coming out of deep freeze
Climb with your arms, climb til you can’t get higher
Rise with the heat ‘fore your blood turns into ice
Climb with your fingers til you reach that heaven and
fire
Lift yourself up, baby that’s my best advice
The Hayman built a cannon just to get at the white
They’re tying down the pilgrims on a funeral pride
They cleansing them of sins, ridding them of flees
Oh the devil’s coming out of deep freeze
Help me build a ladder
To climb out of this hole
Help me make up for the time
To fade in hard lost hope
Help me build a staircase
Build it out of stone
Help me walk on out of here
Make my way back home
Help me brother
Help me sister
Help me Lord
‘Cause no one gets out of here alone
Help me pack my suitcase
I’m heading for the train
Help me board, the engine’s roaring
And the sky’s growing heavy with rain
Help me brother
Help me sister
Help me Lord
‘Cause no one gets out of here alone
No Hollywood starlet
No monarch on is flown
President – no rich man son
No one gets out of here alone
Help me build a ladder
To climb out of this hole
Help me make up for the time
The greed and then this stow
Help me brother
Help me sister
Help me Lord
I’m gonna jump off the roof now
And land on the crust of the earth
I’m gonna make an impression
I’m gonna show you what I am worth
Send it up
Your smoking lid is gonna
Send it up
In a giant balloon I’m gonna
Send it up
Gonna get a reaction, gonna
Send it up
Gonna be home soon
I’m gonna dive in the ocean
I’m gonna walk on the crust of the earth
I’m gonna make an impression
I’m gonna show you why what I am worth
Send it up
Your smoking lid is gonna
Send it up
In a giant balloon I’m gonna
Send it up
Gonna get a reaction, gonna
Send it up
Gonna be home soon
I’m afraid, I’m afraid
But I’m gonna do it anyway
I’m afraid, I’m afraid
But I’m gonna do it anyway
Send it up
Your smoking lid is gonna
Send it up
In a giant balloon I’m gonna
Send it up
Gonna get a reaction, gonna
Send it up
Gonna be home soon
I’m afraid, I’m afraid
But I’m gonna do it anyway
I’m afraid, I’m afraid (send it up, send it up)
But I’m gonna do it anyway
I’m gonna send it up in letters
Hear the chanting for love
Send it up in letters
Send it up, send it
Hey I’m gonna send it up
Hey I’m gonna send it up
I call from the road, the phone keeps on ringing
You’re probably bringing the groceries in from the car
I call from the road, it’s 5 on the east coast
The feeling I miss most is being wherever you are
Oh, would I do this again?
Wouldn’t mind to repeat, this feels like a sentence
I’ll never complete
This loneliness burdens, you could die from the heat or
explode
Why don’t you answer my call from the road?
I call from the road, his knee on the tring
Hoping in vain that I’ll be with you Monday by noon
I call from the road, the backed up is runnin
The TV is humming, they’re planting a flag on the moon
Oh, would I do this again?
Wouldn’t mind to repeat, this feels like a sentence
I’ll never complete
This loneliness burdens, you could die from the heat or
explode
Why don’t you answer my call from the road?
Are you there?
Can’t you her me calling?
Are you there?
Can’t you her me falling down?
Oh, would I do this again?
Wouldn’t mind to repeat, this feels like a sentence
I’ll never complete
This loneliness burdens, you could die from the heat or
explode
Why don’t you answer my call from the road?
Are you there?
Are you there?
