Lori or Luri (Lori/Persian: لری‎, pronounced [loriː], [luriː]) is a collection of Southwestern Iranian languages which are mainly spoken by the Lurs and Bakhtiari people in the Iranian provinces of Lorestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and parts of Khuzestan and Esfahan province and Fars provinces. Lori is a descendant of a variant of Middle Persian and is lexically similar to modern Persian. According to the linguist Don Stillo: "Persian, Lori-Baḵtiāri and others, are derived directly from Old Persian through Middle Persian/Pahlavi". These dialects are also referred to as the “Persid” southern Zagros group. The special character of the Lori language suggests that its spreading area was Iranicized from Persia and not from Media.

Lori Anne Loughlin (born July 28, 1964) is an American actress. She best known for her role as Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom Full House (1988–1995). From 2008 to 2011, she portrayed the role of Debbie Wilson on the The CW series 90210, a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210. She is also known for portraying the role of Ava Gregory on the The WB series Summerland (2004–2005), which she also co-created and produced.

Loughlin was born in Queens, New York and moved with her family to Long Island. She lived in Oceanside, New York, where she attended Oaks Public Elementary School #3 and then moved to Hauppauge, New York, where she attended Hauppauge High School. She is of Irish descent.

She began her career at age twelve as a print model. During her early teen years she appeared in television commercials and was frequently seen in national print advertisements.

At the age of fifteen, Loughlin was cast in the ABC soap opera The Edge of Night, playing the part of Jody Travis, an aspiring dancer, appearing in the series from 1980 to 1983. From 1983 to 1988, Loughlin appeared a number of feature films and television guest spots. From 1988 to 1995, she was cast in her most notable role to date, as Rebecca Donaldson, Danny Tanner (Bob Saget)'s co-host and later Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos)' wife in the ABC sitcom Full House. Recurring during the second season, she became a regular for the remainder of the series run.

James Hugh Calum Laurie, OBE (born 11 June 1959), known as Hugh Laurie (/ˈhjuː ˈlɒri/), is an English actor, voice artist, comedian, writer, musician, recording artist, and director. He first became known as one half of the Fry and Laurie double act, along with his friend and comedy partner Stephen Fry, whom he joined in the cast of Blackadder and Jeeves and Wooster from 1987 to 1999.

From 2004 to 2012, he played Dr Gregory House, the protagonist of House, for which he received two Golden Globe awards, two Screen Actors Guild awards, and six Emmy nominations. As of August 2010, Laurie is the highest paid actor in a drama series on US television. He has been listed in the 2011 Guinness Book of World Records as the highest paid actor ever in a TV Drama—earning US$ 700,000 per episode in House—and for being the most watched leading man on television.

Laurie was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. The youngest of four children, Laurie has an older brother named Charles and two older sisters named Susan and Janet. He had a somewhat strained relationship with his mother, Patricia (née Laidlaw). His father, Ran Laurie, was a medical doctor who also won an Olympic gold medal in the coxless pairs (rowing) at the 1948 London Games.
