The Ku band (/ˌkeɪˈjuː/) is a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum in the microwave range of frequencies. This symbol refers to (originally German: Kurz-unten)—in other words, the band directly below the K-band. In radar applications, it ranges from 12-18 GHz according to the formal definition of radar frequency band nomenclature in IEEE Standard 521-2002.
Ku band is primarily used for satellite communications, most notably for fixed and broadcast services, and for specific applications such as NASA's Tracking Data Relay Satellite used for both space shuttle and ISS communications. Ku band satellites are also used for backhauls and particularly for satellite from remote locations back to a television network's studio for editing and broadcasting. The band is split into multiple segments that vary by geographical region by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). NBC was the first television network to uplink a majority of its affiliate feeds via Ku band in 1983.
Some frequencies in this radio band are used for vehicle speed detection by law enforcement, especially in Europe.

Nicholas Berkeley "Nick" Mason (born 27 January 1944) is an English drummer and songwriter, best known for his work with Pink Floyd. He is the only constant member of the band since its formation in 1965. Despite solely writing only a few Pink Floyd songs, Mason has contributed to some of Pink Floyd's most popular compositions such as "Interstellar Overdrive", "A Saucerful Of Secrets" and "Echoes".
He is the only Pink Floyd member to be featured on every one of their albums. It is estimated that as of 2010, the group have sold over 250 million records worldwide, including 74.5 million units sold in the United States.
He also competes in auto racing events, such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The son of the documentary film maker Bill Mason, he was born in Birmingham but brought up in Hampstead, London (many online biographies mistakenly cite the street address Downshire Hill – sometimes as "the Downshire Hills" – as a district of Birmingham) and attended Frensham Heights School, near Farnham, Surrey. He later studied at the Regent Street Polytechnic (now the University of Westminster), where he teamed up with Roger Waters, Bob Klose and Richard Wright in 1964 to form Pink Floyd's predecessor, Sigma 6.
Thought like ink
Love runs out
So I kept it up on a shelf
And I will polish it, finger it
But never let it breathe by itself
Whatever happens next
When nothing's left
I'd just rather not see
You've been slicing like a knife
Like Eve with her bite
But I don't think you've wounded me
We don't fall into love
It slips from the cabinets and falls into us
I stand apart from your body in the dark
But our gazes link like a bridge
And I don' t think that I'm weak
Though my lips open to speak
That I'd trade my soul for a kiss
I turn away to cry but even when I lie
There's some things words cannot hide
And my aim's never been good
But my arrow to the moon
Is so close it scrapes the sides
We don't fall into love
It slips from the cabinets and falls into us
Now love's tangled up
Like a sitting duck
I don't have to search
You're all my answers
We don't fall into love
El mar besa la costa otra vez
el portal de la noche a mis pies
va añorando a la luna, ya ves
yo te tengo a ti
quien querrá otra fortuna nose
yo canto
*Que bonito es, que bomito
jugar un poquito
que bonito es, que bonito
que bonito es, que bonito
mirar tus ojitos
que bonito es, que bonito
Por la arena desnuda iba ayer
tu sonrisa una estrella en mi piel
que importa que amanezca despues
si te tengo a ti
Cuando caiga la noche estaré
Cantando
* Estribillo
Que bonito cuando te veo, ay
Que bonito cuando te siento
Que bonito es sentir que estas aquí, junto a mí
Que bonito cuando me hablas, ay
Que bonito cuando te callas
Que bonito es sentir que estas aquí, junto a mí
(Coro)
Que bonito seria poder volar
Y a tu lado poderte allí a cantar
Junto a mí, junto a mí
(Coro)
Que bonito tu pelo negro, ay
Que bonito tu cuerpo entero
Que bonito es sentir todo tu ser, ay si tu ser
Ay que bonito, que bonito, ay que bonito
Que bonito, ay que bonito ay que bonito
