Did you know?

  • The University has more than 100 university exchange agreements in some 30 countries where students can learn and live like a local while adding an overseas mark of distinction to their studies.
  • In 2013, Victoria University was recognised as one of Australia’s most industry-engaged universities, and won a prestigious Business Higher Education Roundtable (BHERT) award. We are the only university to have won the Ashley Goldsworthy Award twice, which is testament to our strong and active partnership with Western Health.
  • Victoria University's five year partnership with Netball Victoria and the Melbourne Vixens is the first of its kind between an Australian university and an elite women’s sporting team.
  • The APS College of Sport and Exercise Psychologists Student Award is named after one of our lecturers Professor Tony Morris, who is a pioneer researcher and writer in sport psychology.
  • Our flagship $68 million world-class Sport and Learning precinct at Footscray Park Campus was recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects as one of the five best public buildings completed in Australia during 2011.
  • Our $44 million Construction Hub at Sunshine Campus consolidates the University's construction trade courses, including carpentry, bricklaying and furniture-making. It was awarded a 6 Star Green Star rating in 2013 by the Green Building Australia Council.
  • Our Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) course was ranked as the best in the state of Victoria for 2012, for graduate outcomes, work readiness and employability.
  • The first classes in the Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (BMER) course commenced in July 2011 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This is VU's first offshore program in India, delivered in partnership with Ganpat University.
  • Our MBA has been ranked number one in Australia and number six in the global Top 20 by London-based CEO magazine in 2014 for its excellent lecturers, small class sizes, student diversity, value-for-money, and international study options.
