Julie Bindel (born 1962) is an English writer, feminist and co-founder of the group Justice For Women, which opposes violence against women from a feminist viewpoint.

Bindel is described as a "Marmite writer", as readers are strongly divided on her work, and is a freelance journalist whose work regularly appears in The Guardian. Her primary areas of interest are lesbian rights, opposition to the sex industry, modern anti-trafficking campaigns and defending female victims of domestic violence. Bindel, who has been involved in feminist law reform campaigns for victims of domestic violence, originally began writing as a way to get the message across to the wider public. Bindel is also a lesbian and has shared her views and been quoted regarding sexual identity and sexual orientation issues and refers to herself as a political lesbian feminist. Bindel though does not support same-sex marriage and believes that it would be preferable to outlaw marriage altogether and have civil partnerships for both same-sex and opposite-sex couples.

Suzanne Moore (born 1958, Ipswich) is a British journalist.

The daughter of an American father and a working class Tory mother, who split up during her childhood, Moore was lined up by her headmistress to apply to enter Cambridge University, but left school at 16. After various jobs in Britain and overseas, Moore embarked on a psychology degree at Middlesex University (then Middlesex Polytechnic), but soon switched to Cultural Studies. She began a PhD and journalism career simultaneously after graduation.

During her career Moore has written for Marxism Today, The Mail on Sunday, The Independent, The Guardian, and the New Statesman. She is presently a columnist for the Daily Mail.

In 2009, Moore resigned as a contributing editor of the New Statesman, disgusted that former spin doctor Alastair Campbell had been allowed to guest edit an issue.

Moore stood as an independent candidate for the constituency of Hackney North and Stoke Newington in the 2010 U.K General Election due to her disillusionment with the main political parties.

Gerald Moore CBE (30 July 1899 – 13 March 1987) was an English pianist best known for his career as one of the most in-demand accompanists of his day, accompanying many of the world's most famous musicians. Moore was born in Watford but received most of his musical education in Toronto, Canada, to which country his family emigrated when he was a child, and where he was an organist at St Thomas' Church, Huron Street, in Toronto.

He accompanied notable instrumentalists such as Pablo Casals and the child prodigy Josef Hassid, but is perhaps best remembered for his work with singers, with notable partnerships including Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Victoria de los Ángeles, Elisabeth Schumann, Maggie Teyte and Kathleen Ferrier. He had a particular affinity for the art song (lieder) repertoire; the BBC has featured a number of his recordings in its Building a Library recommendations, including his 1961 recording of Schubert's Die Schöne Müllerin with Fischer-Dieskau and the 1958 Salzburg Festival recording of Wolf lieder with Schwarzkopf. He also gave lectures on stage and radio and wrote about music, publishing his much-admired memoir Am I Too Loud?: Memoirs of An Accompanist in 1962. He published two other volumes of autobiography: Farewell Recital: Further Memoirs (1978) and Furthermoore (1983), where he "looks back on great musicians he has known and admired".

Geert Hofstede, born as Gerard Hendrik Hofstede (5 October 1928 in Haarlem, Netherlands) is an influential Dutch researcher in the fields of organizational studies and more concretely organizational culture, also cultural economics and management. He is a well-known pioneer in his research of cross-cultural groups and organizations and played a major role in developing a systematic framework for assessing and differentiating national cultures and organizational cultures. His studies demonstrated that there are national and regional cultural groups that influence behavior of societies and organizations. His most notable work has been in developing cultural dimensions theory. He is known with his books Culture's Consequences and Cultures and Organizations: Software of the Mind, co-authored with his son Gert Jan Hofstede.

Upon his retirement in 1993, Geert has visited numerous universities worldwide to educate students on his theoretical approaches and to continue his research in this field. He currently is Professor Emeritus of Organizational Anthropology and International Management at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, and serves as an extramural fellow of the Center of Economic Research at Tilburg University in Tilburg, Netherlands.
