Borders define geographic boundaries of political entities or legal jurisdictions, such as governments, sovereign states, federated states and other subnational entities. Some borders—such as a state's internal administrative borders, or inter-state borders within the Schengen Area—are open and completely unguarded. Other borders are partially or fully controlled, and may be crossed legally only at designated border checkpoints. Some, mostly contentious, borders may even foster the setting up of buffer zones.
In the past, many borders were not clearly defined lines, but were neutral zones called marchlands. This has been reflected in recent times with the neutral zones that were set up along part of Saudi Arabia's borders with Kuwait and Iraq (however, these zones no longer exist)[citation needed]. In modern times the concept of a marchland has been replaced by that of the clearly defined and demarcated border. For the purposes of border control, airports and seaports are also classed as borders. Most countries have some form of border control to restrict or limit the movement of people, animals, plants, and goods into or out of the country. Under international law, each country is generally permitted to define the conditions that have to be met by a person to legally cross its borders by its own laws, and to prevent persons from crossing its border when this happens in violation of those laws.
Fritz Kalkbrenner (° 1981 in Berlin) is a German DJ and producer.
Since 2002, Kalkbrenner has worked as a culture and music journalist for TV stations including MDR, MTV and Deutsche Welle.
In 2008 he produced the soundtrack for the motion picture Berlin Calling with his brother Paul Kalkbrenner. Both appeared in the film. The track Sky and Sand was his breakthrough in the music business.
Unlike compositions by his brother, Paul, Fritz's music is warmer - his cold electro-beats are influenced by warm soul-sounds and is a distinguishing characteristic from other electronic artists. His real breakthrough came with the movie “Berlin Calling” and in particular the soundtrack: “Sky and Sand”, which Fritz and his brother produced together. Fritz himself has released one album: “Here Today Gone Tomorrow”.

There are days i wanna leave LA
I wanna break out the maze
Escape the dark haze these days
So many kids i know your feelin' crazed
Craze materials thangs and makin' slave wages
Baggy pockets only got laudry fluff
Livin' where rich people always buyin some stuff
So you try to act tough and hide what's inside
Hold your head high gettin fucked up and throwin' dice
As bad as yours and and bad enough i'm sure
My heart wants to love but must navigate through war
Cuz seein' that we're wired to short circuit
Must mean the meek who will inherit the earth
Already work it
There's a land by the sand grab the money
Plastic the life end of the century
People actin fake can't see the omens
Wake up yourself cause change is comin
Theres a land by the sand grab the Mountain Dew
Hollywood is such a place fuelin the frenzy
And everybody starts to peep around corners
Before they take their snapple they know thier borders
In this $19.98 plus shipping and handling type nether-
World everytime merchandise dips in our coffers
We buy that imagine that cost of livin' uh huh
The fakest shit and act cool our friends are watchin
Attention shoppers check the section in your reflection
Don't you feel so good does it enhance your fresh Complexion
You gotta have it you got to have it x2
As the world turns and all the money we burn
On the bullshit to make us happy sometimes we never learn
We're self centered we think we're better
We look down as a people upon our elders
Theres a land buy the snapple grab the money
Now let go of it cause its dissolving
It created all your fears and kept you hustling
Made you sever all the ties to your family
She's always trying to work it out
Sitting in a parked car
Music on the stereo is blaring out
Shutting out the world
People always say
What you gonna' do now
Are you gonna' go far
Gonna' follow your heart till it stops
She could never say why
Cause she's leaving tonight
She would never say why
Cause she's leaving
Jesse always wanted, to get away
Drive across the border
Head out to the lakes
Lie beside the water
Blinded by the sun
Jesse are you gonna leave now?
Are you gonna leave town?
It's funny how she hesitates
She wonders why she still cares
Tomorrow seems so far away
This moment could be hers
People always say
What you gonna' do now
Are you gonna' go far
Gonna' follow your heart till it stops
She could never say why
Cause she's leaving tonight
She would never say why
Cause she's leaving
Jesse always wanted, to get away
Drive across the border
Head out to the lakes
Lie beside the water
Blinded by the sun
Jesse are you gonna leave now?
Are you gonna leave town?
Looking for the answer, she won't be the last one out
Trying to get a head-start, find her way through the crowds
Right now
Jesse always wanted, to get away
Drive across the border
Head out to the lakes
Lie beside the water
Blinded by the sun
Jesse don't leave it too long, too long now
Jesse always wanted, to get away
Drive across the border
Head out to the lakes
Lie beside the water
Blinded by the sun
Do you really believe, you bastards,
That misery is stopped by boundaries
That hunger will never cross the seas,
And that you'll never have to share your wealth ?
Don't you understand, you idiot,
That segregation gives way to hatred,
That poor and rich will always be on opposition,
Draw a line, and decide no trespassing,
Feel secure behind your laws and money,
Responsible for the third world decay,
Would you stop talking,
Because I don't think we agree,
You're always keeping all your borders up,
I'm thinking something must be wrong with me,
Well i know you don't like it,
You're no exclusive company,
You're always keeping all your borders up,
And it's a little more than you and me.
Well somebodies had a harder time,
But your always on the attack,
Have they been giving you the run-around,
And now you're trying to get your own back?
Well i know you don't like it,
You're no exclusive company,
You're always keeping all your borders up,
And it's a little more than you and me,
I'm not guilty.
Oh well I better say something,
To stop us creeping round these avenues,
You're always keeping all your borders up,
I bet you're getting a little confused,
I don't think so.
Well it's time to turn this thing around,
Well there's no reason for this thing you found,
We're always keeping all our borders up,
I think it's time we tore them all down.
You've got to fight for a reason,
what's your reason?
You never cared,
You've got to fight for a reason,
what's your reason?
Would you stop talking,
Because I don't think we agree,
You're always keeping all your borders up,
I'm thinking something must be wrong with me,
Well I know you don't like it,
