Luis Campos, also known by the stage name Chocs (born June 5, 1981) is a Mexican Rock/Jazz Drummer, best known as a member of the band Collinz Room.
Luis Campos was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico and started playing drums at the age of sixteen. He performed with several bands for a few years in Culiacan. In 2000 He moved to Mexico City to study at Fermata school of music.
Campos kept pursuing a career as a rock and jazz drummer after moving to Los Angeles. He worked several mediocre jobs before he was hired to be the musical director of the band of Puerto Rican pop-star Noelia in 2006.[citation needed] That same year he joined the rock punk band Collinz Room and toured the United States with the band. The band received the award for Performer of The Year from the LA Music Awards for that year. In 2009 he signed a record deal with company MIP Music Group to produce an Instructional drum DVD, Not Just Drumming, and a CD Album, Time For Sound, at the Drumchannel Studios. DW Drums founder Don Lombardi directed the DVD, which includes a live performance of Campos' Jazz Trio, a 15 minute interview with his trio by Don Lombardi, and 3 tracks from Collinz Room. In 2010 he signed to worldwide cymbal company PAISTE, drum company Ddrums, Grover Pro Percussions, and a second deal with MIP Music Group. He was invited to perform at the Laguna Drum Fest in 2010, one of the main drum festivals in Mexico. A video documentary of the event is set to be released in 2011.[dated info]

Hey what's up guys here's a behind the scenes playing with one of my idols Mr. Antonio Sanchez at DrumChannel. We had the honor to have Curt Bisquera hosting the live show and Mr. Don Lombardi (DW drums Owner) directing the whole thing. This is the most amazing thing that ever could have happened in my life and career. Antonio Sanchez is one of the drummers who have influenced me the most in my career not to mention he's a person I admire tremendously. It was really hard for me to play in front of him, I have never experienced playing in front of a person who I consider my idol so Kids "DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME" but anyways somehow I made it through and he was kind enough to guide me through. I wanna let you know that Antonio Sanchez is one of the most humble successful musician I have ever met in my life, that guy is the real deal. I also wanna thank Curt Bisquera for being so kind and for giving me some strong encouragement while I was at DrumChannel's bathroom LOL when it was my turn to go out there and play in front of Antonio.
