A middle school (also known as intermediate school or junior high school) is a school for students older than elementary school, but not yet in high school. The ages covered varies between, and sometimes within, countries.
In Afghanistan, middle school consists of grades 6, 7 and 8.
In Algeria, a middle school includes grades 6 through 10, consisting of students from ages 10 or 11 to 15.
Most regions of Australia do not have middle schools, as students go directly from primary school (for years K–6) to secondary school (years 7–12, usually referred to as high school).
As an alternate to the middle school model, some secondary schools divided their grades into "junior high school" (years 7 to 8) and "senior high school" (years 9, 10, 11, and 12.)
In 1996 and 1997, a national conference met to develop what became known as the National Middle Schooling Project, which aimed to develop a common Australian view of

This 266 +/- acre ranch is located in Mendocino County about 2.4 miles north of the town of Manchester, CA and 8 miles north of Pt. Arena, CA. The scenic drive through the redwoods and wine country takes about three hours from the San Francisco Bay Area. This ranch has it all; ocean frontage, ocean views, your own beach, creek frontage, meadows, abundant rolling grassland for horses or livestock, two homes, barns and outbuildings. A ranch like this rarely comes on the market and this one has been in the same family since the 1950's. www.CaliforniaOutdoorProperties.com Property Web Link: http://www.californiaoutdoorproperties.com/listing/fordyce-trail?rslug=listing%2Fpage%2F2

In the classroom we discuss paddling safely, local destinations and equipment. On the water, we introduce the basic paddle strokes needed to efficiently move a kayak through the water. We encourage students to practice a deep water wet exit and an assisted re-entry which is a safety skill every paddler should own! A person completing this class is qualified to rent sea kayaks from Alder Creek Kayak & Canoe. Basic Skills Kayak Classes are offered every weekend year round and daily in the late spring, summer and early fall. Call for details and reservations.

You might not be asked to sign a paper pledging allegiance to the Union when you enter Virginia City, Montana, but then again you could be. Born during the throes of the Civil War, Virginia City originally had the name Varina, for the wife of Con-federate President Jefferson Davis, and there was real contention in 1864 as Confederates tried to control the gold coming out of Alder Gulch and get it to the South. The Northern supporters rallied, however, and preserved the gold for the Union. In 1863 when miners found gold in Alder Gulch, the region was a part of the Idaho Territory, but Virginia City became the territorial capital of Montana Territory shortly after it was established on May 26, 1864. (The town replaced Bannack, Montana’s first territorial capital and served until being repla...
Not a great video, but it will give you some idea of what's in Virginia City. We stopped there on the way to Yellowstone. It's an old 1800's town, where they found placer gold, located 14 miles west of Ennis MT.

"Backroads of Montana: Episode #24 - Fromberg to Ulm" (2005) hosted by Montana TV & Radio personality, William Marcus. Stop by a Tea Shop in Anaconda, Gebo, and the Cowboy Bar & Museum. Along the Missouri River south of Great Falls we meet a woman who gathers fiber from her family farm animals to make an intriguing variety of products. We stop by a Tea Shop in Anaconda for some cookies and Earl Grey. A naturalist guides us to see some of Montana's diverse butterfly population. We visit all that remains of the town of Gebo: the cemetery, which is being researched and preserved by a woman from Fromberg. And we cool our heels at the Cowboy Bar & Museum in Fromberg - the ideal place for a cold beer and a warm recollection. Follow THE MONTANA EXPERIENCE on facebook - https://www.facebook....

Like Me at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cascade-Trekker/398559483549413 A favorite place of mine to visit and I usually do it once or twice a year. This will be the first time though that I stop at the ranger station to check availability for hiking into the limited entry Obsidian Area. It is full for the day, so I hike instead up the Scott Trail. A little silly because I intended to through hike anyway. I don't see a single soul on this trail, except for three White-Tailed Deer: two doe and a fawn. After a steady climb through the forest the trail breaks out to cross a lava field then skirts the edge of it up to a huge lava plain next to Four In One Cone. I push hard to get to Minnie Scott Spring, the ...
