Plot
Dr. Lynn Harper, psychologist, has been called out to the old Ingston Mansion, a dark and mysterious place with a very bad reputation, in order to make an assessment of the sanity of Margaret Ingston, daughter of patriarch Kurt Ingston. She claims to be sane, but she is clearly very disturbed; we can't be certain, although the doctor gives her a clean bill of health. But then Dick Baldwin shows up on the scene, just when Dr. Lynne has been receiving thinly veiled threats from the inhabitants of the house. He's our hero. Three medical doctors have been invited out to the mansion as well, Dr. Timmons, Dr. Phipps and the sleazy Dr. King (Lionel Atwill). One by one the doctors are mysteriously murdered. Dick Baldwin must figure out who is doing the killings, and he must do so before whoever it is can kill his new love interest, Dr. Lynne Harper. But the only one he can trust is Kurt Ingston himself, since Ingston has no legs and can't have perpetrated these murders. Is it sinister Rolf, the butler, or Laurie, the sex crazed and sociopathic chauffeur, or Agor Singh, the Hindu Yogi with his strange ways? And of course, Lynne might be wrong, Margaret may be very insane, and she might be the culprit.

What kind of a thing is it?
Sarah Judd: [trapped in burning room] Unlock that door you fool! Do you want to die?::Margaret Ingston: Yes! You and Kurt don't deserve to live, and I don't want to!
Margaret Ingston: How many of us are sane? You wouldn't know, but I shall soon.
Milly Carson: [reacting to Laurie's stopping the car by the side of a deserted road] What's this for - as if I didn't know?::Laurie: How is it dames always know what's on a guy's mind before he knows himself?
Kurt Ingston: When a person questions her own sanity, it's a good sign she's not far from normal.
Dick Baldwin, Agor Singh: How is that the blood didn't dematerialize with the rest?::Agor Singh: There are certain details in the process that we are not allowed to explain to the uninitiated.
Dr. Lynne Harper: My study of the mind has convinced me how little we know of its powers.
Dick Baldwin: [discussing the murders] It all seemed to start with that skeleton of Agor Singh's.::Const. Cap Beggs: You know, that's good enough for me. I'm gonna arrest that Hindu if I never see the back of my neck.
[last lines]::Agor Singh: A little knowledge of the occult is dangerous. Unless it's used for good, disaster will follow its wake. That is Cosmic Law!
Margaret Ingston: Blood... the whole house reeks of it. The air is charged with death and hatred and something that's unclean!
Torque, moment or moment of force (see the terminology below), is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis, fulcrum, or pivot. Just as a force is a push or a pull, a torque can be thought of as a twist to an object.
Loosely speaking, torque is a measure of the turning force on an object such as a bolt or a flywheel. For example, pushing or pulling the handle of a wrench connected to a nut or bolt produces a torque (turning force) that loosens or tightens the nut or bolt.
The symbol for torque is typically τ, the Greek letter tau. When it is called moment, it is commonly denoted M.
The magnitude of torque depends on three quantities: the force applied, the length of the lever arm connecting the axis to the point of force application, and the angle between the force vector and the lever arm. In symbols:
where
The length of the lever arm is particularly important; choosing this length appropriately lies behind the operation of levers, pulleys, gears, and most other simple machines involving a mechanical advantage.
The Basics ( /ˈbæzɪtʃ/ BAZZ-ich) are a three-piece band from Melbourne, Australia, formed by Wally De Backer and Kris Schroeder in 2002. Their style has been described as anything from 'indie-pop' to 'rock'n'roll' to 'pop-rock', though their records show they span a wide range of genres, including reggae, ska, country, and electro-pop. They are "recognised as one of Australia's hardest-working bands".
With close to 1000 shows in their ten-year career, their live performances are well-known for their sense of humour and energy.
The Basics were formed after Kris met Wally at a party in Melbourne. The event was to see off the young aspiring producer, who was about to depart for Los Angeles, and together with a number of musician friends, the two jammed on some blues-rock standards. Later that night, they bonded over a mutual love of The Beatles, 70s and 80s cartoon theme songs and old Sierra adventure games.
Initially, they played around Melbourne as an acoustic guitar/drums combo, starting at The Opposition in Frankston and the House of Fools in Footscray, where in late 2002 they met Michael Hubbard and later invited him to join them on electric guitar. Though lacking any real experience with the instrument, Kris willingly purchased his first bass guitar, and the trio was born. During this time, the group start performing songs with more complicated three-part harmony.
my lip gloss froze off
outside the airport
on a hard bench
beside a dingy Santa
i searched every face
what are you?
animated soft tissue
shifting neuropeptides
a social pyromaniac
a plate spinner
and it's smoky around you
i can hardly breathe
i watched your eyes go dark
i saw them look blank
i wasn't there
i saw it in pictures
after the fact
and it's smoky around you
Twisted views and bankrupt ideology,
I stand empty; pour them into me,
I am fallen man, I search for reprieve,
My soul lies open - what do I believe?
Save me,
Save me.
Come and save me with your worldly wisdom,
Come and save me with your boundless freedom,
Come and save me with your higher learning,
Come and satisfy a soul that's yearning.
Seek to ensnare me with your humanistic views,
Bereft of substance, they serve only to confuse,
Wide is the chasm that eats me from inside,
Forever falling into the great divide.
Save me,
Save me.
Come and save me with your worldly wisdom,
Come and save me with your boundless freedom,
Come and save me with your higher learning,
Come and satisfy a soul that's yearning.
Come and save me with your worldly wisdom,
Come and save me with your boundless freedom,
Come and save me with your higher learning,
