I tried like 20 times to get over to the other platform at 08:23, but it's probably impossible. I can't jump over because he comes down immediately from hitting his head in the stuff above him. Can't be done even if the two platforms are as close to each other as they possibly can. I tried like 20 times to get over to the other platform at 08:23, but it's probably impossible. I can't jump over because he comes down immediately from hitting his head in the stuff above him. Can't be done even if the two platforms are as close to each other as they possibly can. I even tried to walk straight over (ye, I know, there's a gap so shouldn't be possible, but a crap game is a crap game, so who knows). Luckily I could summon TREMENDOUS TERENCE to take me to the end of the screen. Once summoned, I can't summon him immediately again, but I did it one more time later. I think I might get a new summon every time I meet the butler (can't be arsed to look up his name so 'butler' is better as more people will understand who I'm talking about, cuz not everyone has seen the show or remember his name :P), should have tested it.
Was really no need to collect those thingies in the top left corner of the inventory. Four of them gives the player invulnerability which is pretty useless (even if it allows me to touch enemies without getting hurt), because you walk slower, you jump shorter distance, you still die from falling any distance higher than the duck - same thing even if you don't have the invulnerability. But I wanted to collect all items anyway so I kept picking them up and the ketchup bottles. -

GAME PLAY PLANET CUTE
You have to guide DUCKULA past various obstacles and cute toys to find the lightning conductor. On the way you collect cereal packet tops which help DUCKULA become like his hero TREMENDOUS TERENCE for a short time and be invulnerable to the effects of the cuties. You can also pick up bottles of ketchup that DUCKULA can squirt at the Cuties rendering them temporarily
harmless. DUCKULA can call on TREMENDOUS TERENCE to help him get past really awkward obstacles, but only for a limited number of times, and when DUCKULA meets up with IGOR, he is refeshed with broccoli sandwiches, so allowing his search for the lightning conductor to continue. Finally, if you have successful kept DUCKULA from becoming cute, the lightning conductor is seen, but a large lovable puppy toy is in the way. IGOR has already done all he can and TREMENDOUS TERENCE cannot be contacted at the moment, that just leaves NANNY. Will she be able to help get DUCKULA past the puppy and retrieve the lightning conductor?
HINTS & TIPS
In the main game, you have plenty of time so don't rush. Time your jumps to the movement of the platforms, which follow a set pattern. Fire sauce at Cuties to get past them.Top up your supply of sauce by collecting sauce bottles. Collect four cereal packet tops to gain temporary invulnerability. If you find a screen too difficult call TREMENDOUS TERENCE, but remember you can only use him once.
JOYSTICK - CONTROLS (NONE FOR KEYBOARD)
Jump - Up
Left/Right - Guess
Call Tremendous Terrence - Down & Fire
MY OPINION
This game mostly sucks. I mean, it is more frustrating than fun because you never know where the damned platforms are going to appear and disappear, so it takes a lot of cringeworthy timing.
The sound is lazy, graphics mediocre, and the ending is stupid. Then again, this was a budget game based on a British TV cartoon series so you can't expect much.
Also made for the Atari ST, Amiga, Amstrad, and Spectrum and sequel to Count Duckula - No Sax Please, We're Egyptian (eyes roll).
