Plot
Upon his release from a mental hospital following a nervous breakdown, the directionless Anthony joins his friend Dignan, who seems far less sane than the former. Dignan has hatched a hare-brained scheme for an as-yet-unspecified crime spree that somehow involves his former boss, the (supposedly) legendary Mr. Henry. With the help of their pathetic neighbor and pal Bob, Anthony and Dignan pull a job and hit the road, where Anthony finds love with motel maid Inez. When our boys finally hook up with Mr. Henry, the ensuing escapade turns out to be far from what anyone expected.

Dignan: What do you think I was doing the whole time you were out there man? I told you Dignan got fired, out on his ass. But you didn't think about that, did you. In the end it's easier to think about yourself than it is to think about Dignan.
Dignan: What a lemon! One minute it's running like a top, and the next it's broken down on the side of the road. And I can't fix a car like this, because I don't have the tools! And even if I did have the tools I don't know if I could fix a car like this!
Anthony: Maybe we should've robbed your house. You ever think of that?::Dignan: You know there's nothing to steal from my mom and Craig!
Dignan: They'll never catch me... because I'm fucking innocent.
Bob: Wha - why is there tape on your nose?::Dignan: Exactly!
Dignan: [points to Bob] He's out. [points to Anthony] And you're out, too. And I dont think I'm in, either. No gang!
Dignan: Okay. There, you see the star is me, right there, and I'll be in there. The X is Anthony. Bob, you're the zero out here in the car.
Kumar: Man, I blew it. I blew it, man.::Anthony: Kumar, what were you doing in the freezer?::Kumar: I don't know, man, I lose my touch, man.::Dignan: Did you ever have a touch to lose, man?
Dignan: We'll get him. We'll get him. Man, dont worry about that, we'll get him. And when we do, we'll blow up his car, do something. I can guarantee you that. What makes me furious is thinking about the look on Bob's fat face, thinking he pulled one over on us. I tell you another thing. If our paths cross again, you're gonna see a side of Dignan that you havent seen before. A sick, sadistic side, cause I'm furious at Bob.
Dignan: Bob Mapplethorpe, potential get-away driver: go!::Bob: Well, I think there's a real air of mystery about me.::Dignan: Don't complicate it. Your number one strength is you have a car you can provide. Sell yourself! Start over. Ready, go!::Bob: Okay, alright. I'm a risk taker! I'm growin' an entire crop of marijuana plants in my parents back yard! I think that shows...::Dignan: Wait, you're growing an entire crop of marijuana in your back yard?::Bob: Dignan, look. I'm just not very good at this selling-yourself stuff, okay? So, I'm just gonna tell you the truth. I really wanna be a part of this team. And I'm the only one with a car.::Dignan: That's good. That's good. 'Cause that hits me right here.

A temple (from the Latin word templum) is a structure reserved for religious or spiritual activities, such as prayer and sacrifice, or analogous rites. A templum constituted a sacred precinct as defined by a priest, or augur. It has the same root as the word "template," a plan in preparation of the building that was marked out on the ground by the augur. Templa also became associated with the dwelling places of a god or gods. The word "temple" dates to about the 6th century BCE. Despite the specific set of meanings associated with the religion of the ancient Rome, the word has now become quite widely used to describe a house of worship for any number of religions and is even used for time periods prior to the Romans.
Göbekli Tepe, located in southern Turkey, is the oldest-known, existing temple in the world. It was built approximately 11,000 years ago.
The temple of Mesopotamia derived from the cult of gods and deities in Mesopotamian religion. It spanned several civilizations; from Sumerian, Akkadian, Assyrian, and Babylonian. The most common temple architecture of Mesopotamia is the structure of sun-baked bricks called Ziggurat, having the form of a terraced step pyramid with flat upper terrace where shrine or temple stood

When the house was burned,
we returned to the desert and wept
son's slaughtered, daughter's raped
gone away are the sun's rays
and the days when our children play
Now they been crushed like grapes.
There ain't no escape.
This is your place, this is your kingdom.
This is your face, broken reflection
Am ma ma-ou...
Burn'n in a burnt down house
Silent victim from bite of regret
Sick with a symptom of name we forget
Forgot the skeleton?? left
Unforgiven, we are forgotten
So...
fill with the venom of an ancient fire that burned our kingdom
on this day the hot breeze (or high priest) sang the anthem
This is your place, this is your kingdom.
This is your face, broken reflection
Who have we become,
what will we be?
One day the moon will shine like the sun
And our heart will feel the love and be numb
Take out your drum and your harps to strum
This is your place, this is your kingdom.
[Intro/Chorus: Wyclef Jean]
Delivered straight from the temple
Hip-hop ya don't stop
One o' clock, two o' clock, three o' clock, ROCK!!
[Lauryn Hill]
Well as an infant I was born into religion
My mother called me back - this brother she forgot to mention
Was just one baptist - me! The stories o' God sent
His only forgotten sooonnn who gave his life
to make sure that I would have one
As I learned in Sunday School, he's got to care
of who's ready to disrespect, my mother and father would be Taboo
But as I grew, I met a Jew, a Catholic
and the pastor just couldn't figure out where baptist fit
Hastily ya paid me that'cha make me sing
Brother has confronted me, mister ??
I get Jehovah, a Buddha or shall I call you Adder
or though rich for tellin' me brother
I just like to be a scholar on the subject called realogy
So that's how I might figure
why they call themselves Christians, ya still call me nigga
And off to store a black hole leaves no control over thought
I leave my body to see the pits
go high when the physical takes control
No communications with the inner stealth
The prize is the up the wise, wise who has a spiritual health
Now to explain they had the problems/visions of gettin' along with herself
She bought a corner, cornered herself and becomes a mourner
Logic brothers...
(Ahhh, yo sister can Praswell and Wyclef get some, check it out)
[Chorus: Wyclef Jean]
Delivered straight from the temple
Hip-hop ya don't stop
One o' clock, two o' clock, three o' clock, ROCK!!
[Wyclef Jean]
Delivered straight from the (TEMPLE), I had no time to (SAMPLE)
My cousin's name was (SAMUEL), I wasn't allowed to use the turntables
My dad was a preacher, so rap music was your devilism
And if it wasn't say: Thank You Lord, I couldn't listen
So why you s-sneak to listen to DJ Red Alert?
To check the competition, a DJ Red Alert goes berserk
Cause as a young lad, I had a big rap pad
Cause he who wanted to practice would someday be the greatest guy
So I checked them as they flippin' sometimes
they're not flippin', they think they rippin'-rappin'
the only rappin' they doin' is in they room before they packin'
You gained the world sucker, but you lost your soul
(The devil approach you us, all you do is tell a foe)
Life after death could be eternal fire
So some get blunted but you're back all on this when it's all over
Mama said that blunt was a stunt to the brain
So some say: I don't smoke but on a sneak-tip he sniff coke
He won the lotto but now he dies of an overdose
While the bum he picked a hole to sleep he wanted a deep throat
So ask yourself the question: Who's really maxin'?
Cause some check in but don't check out and either Hell or Heaven high
But to some Earth is Hell and Heaven's death
So they predict to be Haiti's and kill till there's nothin' left, hah
But I'ma hit with a gun, that's harder than all guns
Mic check from the temple, check the Tech
(And start the nuzzle to get wreck)
Can I get a witness? (Check the Tech)
Get wreck (Check the Tech), check the Tech
(And start the nuzzle to get wreck), can I get a witness?
(Check the Techs), here we go yo
Well I arrive let me tell you what I see in my third eye
Many die they call a battle, they got crucified
Justice, is righteous, in the eyes of the beholder
While the, younger the better but the, older the wiser
Mama used to read in deep from the book of powers
But the bird said the word was absurd, have ya heard?
Knowledge - I come to teach while I increase ya decrease
Some say peace, but on a street a .45's my piece
[Pras]
Hallelujah, hallelujah, praise me two things
try all my cheap - COME!!
On the nineteenth of October I remember
startin' my life as a natural leaver
Cause I lick one-two-three-four-five-six-seven shots
While any priest here builds his church on a solid rock, hit me
So feel the spirit comin' from the Heaven above
(Ay, Pras, how could you be a hood in full of so much love?)
I said: On every man chest there breathes a heart
(Hoffmann)
Color me
With your wild night dream
Oh when you called
When you called, you called my name
Color me sweet
Sweet as summer night roses
Falling down
Falling down around our feet
Emotion
And devotion
We step into our temple to be seen
This kind of worship will set us free
Cycles mistrust
Cycle of envy
Oh when they call
When they call to take you back
Open your eyes
To these night time hunters
â'Til they fall
â'Til they fall along your path
Emotion
And devotion
We step into our temple to be seen
This kind of worship will set us free
Oh, when I'm
I'm alone I
I can feel you
A lucid daydream
Oh, it poured down
Through the night sky
All around us
The world was dancing
And we were singing
Color me
With your wild night dream
When you called
When you called, you called my name
Color me sweet
Sweet as summer night roses
Falling down
Falling around our feet
Emotion
And devotion
We step into our temple to be seen
This kind of worship will set us free
Imagine a temple in your dreams
Where even all my fears won’t make you disappear
Imagine these feelings we could share
You’d keep them in your head, even when I’m dead
Imagine now, imagine now (but you can’t) Imagine…
Remember this ringing in your ears
Sounded like my biggest fear and you made it disappear
Remember now these feelings that we shared
How they whisper in your ears even when I’m far away
Remember now this temple in my dreams
Where even all your fears won’t make me disappear
Remember now these moments that we shared
Now they will stay in your head even when I’m dead
Remember now, remember now
I won’t say goodbye this time
Make me believe again
I've built a life out of sacrifice
And its a temple to waste
A place where I hide
The fractions of daylight
I thought would survive
Tell me the truth again
I have nothing to say and I
Want to be whole again
After this life built of second sight
Its falling like rain
These thorns in my side
Are all I can feel
When our seconds collide
Make me believe again
Because I can't see the sky and I
Want to be whole again
Because I don't think our afterlife
Is something I need
A night without sleep
Is all I remember
Why there's left so many questions
that beats inside my head?
It's worth givin' up the answers
and fill dreams instead?
My heart beats for you, for your sacrifice,
giving in everything.
For my brothers, for my sisters - open your eyes.
Everything I've done -
what is it worth? Your sacrifice?
What have we build? Our own paradise?
Justice!
My heart bleeds for you, for world sacrifice,
give up everything.
For my brothers and my sisters - open your eyes.
Everything you've done - a ticket straight to skies.
What have we build? Our own paradise -
for eternity!
My heart beats for you, for world sacrifice,
give up everything, lose yourself to lord above.
Destroy their arrogance now,
in our self-made land.
All I can see is burning temple
ANGELS DO NOT FOLLOW ME
AND THE SUN DON'T ALWAYS SHINE
CAN'T ALWAYS COUNT ON YOUR MOTHER'S LOVE
WHEN THE TURNING WORLD
UNFURLS UNKIND
NEITHER FAITH NOR REASON
SAVE ME FROM THE FIRE
AND WHO BUT WHO'S GONNA SAVE MY ASS
WHEN IT'S HANGIN' OUT ON THE WIRE
SOME PEOPLE TRUST FAITH
SOME PEOPLE TRUST REASON
I BELIEVE WHAT I SEE IN THE LIGHT IN THE NIGHT
AND THE CHANGIN' SEASON
IN THE TEMPLE OF MY MOTHER'S FAITH
IN A TEMPLE THAT MY MIND REPLACED
'CAUSE A TEMPLE MADE OF STONE
AIN'T NO SAINT GONNA SHOW
WALK ON WATER WALK ON AIR
WALK IN SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOES
WALK ON DOWN THE ROAD AWHILE
WALKIN' WITH THE WALKIN' BLUES
I HAVE CRIED IN FRUSTRATION
WRESTLED WITH DESIRE
AIN'T NOBODY EVER HEAR MY PRAYER
AND SET MY SOUL ON FIRE
SOME PEOPLE TRUST FAITH
SOME PEOPLE TRUST REASON
SOME PEOPLE NEED TO BELIEVE
WHAT THEY NEED
AND THEN THEY BELIEVE SOME
I THINK ABOUT MY MOTHER'S FAITH
IN THE TEMPLE THAT MY MIND REPLACED
'CAUSE A TEMPLE MADE OF STONE
AIN'T NO SAINT GONNA SHOW
STARS AND SATELLITES
FALLING THRU' THE OPEN SKY
RANDOM AND COLLIDING
JUST LIKE CHANGES IN OUR LIVES
LOSING FAITH ALONE INSIDE OURSELVES
REACHING OUT FOR SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN
TO BELIEVE
WAKE ME WHEN IT'S OVER ANGEL
WAKE ME UP WITH WINGS
FLOATIN' OVER THE SEVEN SEAS
WITH A BAD CIGAR
AND A PEARLY QUEEN
ONE MAN LIVIN' IN PARADISE
ANOTHER CRAWLIN' IN THE SLIME
AIN'T NO SOLACE AND AIN'T NO COMFORT
UNTIL THE DAY HE DIE
SOME PEOPLE TRUST FAITH
SOME PEOPLE TRUST REASON
I CAN SEE WHAT I SEE WHAT I SEE
WHAT I SEE AND IT AIN'T NO TREASON
IN THE TEMPLE OF MY MOTHER'S FAITH
IN THE TEMPLE THAT MY MIND REPLACED
'CAUSE A TEMPLE MADE OF STONE
MADE MY HEART TURN COLD
SOME PEOPLE TRUST FAITH
SOME PEOPLE TRUST REASON
SOME AIN'T GOT NOWHERE LEFT TO GO
JUST UP A TREE SON
IN THE TEMPLE OF MY MOTHER'S FAITH
IN THE TEMPLE THAT MY MIND REPLACED
'CAUSE A TEMPLE MADE OF STONE
AND AIN'T NO SAINT GONNA SHOW
SOME PEOPLE TRUST REASON
SOME PEOPLE TRUST REASON
