Kanpur Sangrahalaya / Kanpur Museum (Hindi: कानपुर पुरातत्व संग्रहालय) is a museum in Kanpur, the industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh in North India. It is the official museum in Kanpur. It was built by the British as King Edward Memorial Hall in honour of Edward VII. It is a storehouse of artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the events and people who have influenced the making of Kanpur city and tell many interesting details about the historical past of the city.
Importance
As it is the official museum, it is the primary local institution serving as source of information about history of Kanpur.
History

KEM Hall was an orthopedic rehabilitation hospital after the end of World War I and became Harcourt Butler Technological Institute in 1920.
Location
As the city of Kanpur has expanded, the Kanpur museum is located inside Phool Bagh Ground and is at the intersection of Mall Road and the Kanpur-Lucknow Road.

Kanpur
Kanpur (/ˈkɑːnpʊər/ 
pronunciation ; formerly Cawnpore) is the largest city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is the administrative headquarters of Kanpur Nagar district and Kanpur division.
Kanpur has an area of over 605 km2 with an approximate population of 5.03 million inhabitants in its area. It is administratively divided into 6 zones and 110 wards with a ward population range of 19,000 to 30,000. It is the 75th largest city in the world.
The name is believed to have derived from Karnapur (meaning "town of Karna", one of the heroes of the Mahabharata). Another theory is that it came from the nearby town of Makanpur, earlier known as Khairabad, where the Sufi saint of the Madariya Sufi order, Badiuddin Zinda Shah Madar, settled.
History
In 1207, Raja Kanh Deo of the Kanhpuria clan established the village of Kanhpur, which later came to be known as Kanpur. The area that is now Kanpur was ruled by rulers of Kannauj, Harsha Vardhan, Mihir Bhoja, Jai Chand and early Muslim rulers through the Sur Dynasty. The first mention of Kanpur was made in 1579 during Sher Shah's regime.

The song was not picturized because of Abhijeet's insistence on not filming his version of the song. Therefore, another version was created for picturization.

Recently in May 2018, he has sung the title song of Bhaijaan Elo Re starring Dhallywood King Shakib Khan. After 5 years of self-imposed exile, in 2018 he came back with back to back chartbusters with Bengali Superstars. He sang the Title track of Bhaijaan Elo Re with Shakib Khan and Sujon Majhi Re from Hoichoi Unlimited with Dev. Also, he sang for new age Music Composer Vishal Mishra who composed the song Aye Zindagi where the music video featured Siddhant Gupta. The Varanasi Cantt Railway Station has modern Route Interlock System with automated signalling system. Varanasi Cantt is the highest revenue generating station of the Indian Railways, as the station records a rush of more than 363,000 passengers and more than 260 trains passing through here on a daily basis. It is partly under the administrative control of Lucknow Division of the Northern Railway Zone, and partly under the administrative control of Varanasi Division of the North Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railways. Railway Minister Miss Mamata Bannerjee has included Varanasi Cant in World-Class Railway Stations development project.
The first railway line to Banaras or Benares was opened from Howrah in December 1862 and was built by the East Indian Railway Company. The station was built on right bank of the Ganges. Later in 1872, Oudh & Rohilkund Railway Company opened rail line from Benaras to Lucknow. In 1887, Dufferin Bridge was constructed over the Ganges at Benares allowing trains to go to Mughalsarai.
The present building towards city side was constructed during the regime of Mr Kamlapati Tripathi as railway minister. Cantonment side building was opened in 1998 by then railway minister Mr Nitish Kumar. The circulating area was renovated in 2008.

The 2,525 km (1,569 mi) river rises in the western Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, and flows south and east through the Gangetic Plain of North India into Bangladesh, where it empties into the Bay of Bengal. It is the third largest river in the World by discharge.
The Ganges is the most sacred river to Hindus[4] and is also a lifeline to millions of Indians who live along its course and depend on it for their daily needs.[5] It is worshipped as the goddess Ganga in Hinduism.[6] It has also been important historically: many former provincial or imperial capitals (such as Patliputra,[7] Kannauj,[7] Kara, Kashi, Allahabad, Murshidabad, Munger, Baharampur, Kampilya and Kolkata) have been located on its banks.
The Ganges was ranked as the fifth most polluted river of the world in 2007,[8] Pollution threatens not only humans, but also more than 140 fish species, 90 amphibian species and the endangered Ganges river dolphin.[8] The Ganga Action Plan, an environmental initiative to clean up the river, has been a major failure thus far,[9][10][11] due to corruption and lack of technical expertise,[12] lack of good environmental planning,[13] and lack of support from religious authorities.[14]

Haleem is a type of stew that is widely consumed in the Indian & persian subcontinent, the Middle East and Central Asia. Although the dish varies from region to region, it optionally includes wheat or barley, meat and lentils. It is made by blending or mashing the meat in the curry and serving hot with flat breads or on its own. But the original Haleem, which is different from this variety, is cooked in Iran. which is served with wheat, meat, cinnamon and sugar And this originality has been formed in Iran since ancient times

Abhijeet Bhattacharya (born 30 October 1958), better known as Abhijeet, is a Bollywood playback singer. Abhijeet has sung 6034 songs in over 1000 films.[1][2][3][4] He has been influenced by the singer Kishore Kumar.[5]
Abhijeet was born to a Kanpur-based Bengali businessman turned editor Dhirendranath Bhattacharya, and his wife Kamladevi Bhattacharya in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.[6] Abhijeet was the youngest among the four sons in the family. He married a fashion designer Sumati Bhattacharya in 1990 and has two sons.[citation needed]
Abhijeet left home after graduation from the Christ Church College in Kanpur for Mumbai in 1981 to pursue a career in singing in Bollywood.[7]
He has sung many Hindi songs. His songs include work from the film Baaghi, composed by Anand–Milind. The songs Ek Chanchal Shokh Hasina, Chandni Raat Hai and Har Kasam Se Badi Hai were featured in this movie. This was followed by several chartbusters from movies such as Khiladi and Shola Aur Shabnam, both of which were also box office hits. Then in 1994, he performed for movies such as Yeh Dillagi, Phool Aur Angaar, Anjaam, Raja Babu and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. In 1997, he won the Filmfare Best Playback Singer Award for the song Main Koi Aisi Geet Gaoon from Yes Boss. Other movies he sang in include Baadshah, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Rakshak, Anjaam, Darr, Josh, Dhadkan, Ziddi[disambiguation needed], Raaz, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Khoobsurat, Khiladi, Raaz, Tum Bin, Dillagi, Chalte Chalte and Main Hoon Na among many others.
Abhijeet voiced a number of songs picturized on Shah Rukh Khan in his films which include but not limited to Asoka, Duplicate and Om Shanti Om. However, due to the disappointment of being listed last of the singers in the end credits of Main Hoon Na and again in Om Shanti Om, they parted ways. Abhijeet last sang for Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Billu Barber for the song Khudaya Khair which was their last collaboration. The song was not picturized because of Abhijeet's insistence on not filming his version of the song. Therefore, another version was created for picturization.

Recently in May 2018, he has sung the title song of Bhaijaan Elo Re starring Dhallywood King Shakib Khan. After 5 years of self-imposed exile, in 2018 he came back with back to back chartbusters with Bengali Superstars. He sang the Title track of Bhaijaan Elo Re with Shakib Khan and Sujon Majhi Re from Hoichoi Unlimited with Dev. Also, he sang for new age Music Composer Vishal Mishra who composed the song Aye Zindagi where the music video featured Siddhant Gupta. Abhijeet also crooned Joy Durga Maa composed by Jeet Ganguli which is a duet with Shaan. The video featured former Indian Cricket Captain Sourav Ganguly and Tollywood Star Mimi, Nusrat and Shubhasree. In May 2019, Abhijeet Released Chakde Fatte which is the Cricket World Cup Song for 2019. The song is well appreciated by listeners. Many of his iconic songs are now being remade by new age composers, such as Tan Tana Tan for Judwaa 2 and Sheher Ki Ladki for Khandaani Shafakhana. In 2020 his first released song came for the Movie Shukranu, a 70s feel like song "Khwaab hai ya haqeqaat" duet with Indian Idol fame Krishnakali Saha released from Zee Music Company. Currently in September 2021 Abhijeet is Judging 'Sangeet er Moha Juddho', a reality show airing on Colours Bangla Channel along with other judges like Jeet Ganguli, Ustad Rashid Khan and Lopamudra Mitra. The Varanasi Cantt Railway Station has modern Route Interlock System with automated signalling system. Varanasi Cantt is the highest revenue generating station of the Indian Railways, as the station records a rush of more than 363,000 passengers and more than 260 trains passing through here on a daily basis. It is partly under the administrative control of Lucknow Division of the Northern Railway Zone, and partly under the administrative control of Varanasi Division of the North Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railways. Railway Minister Miss Mamata Bannerjee has included Varanasi Cant in World-Class Railway Stations development project.
The first railway line to Banaras or Benares was opened from Howrah in December 1862 and was built by the East Indian Railway Company. The station was built on right bank of the Ganges. Later in 1872, Oudh & Rohilkund Railway Company opened rail line from Benaras to Lucknow. In 1887, Dufferin Bridge was constructed over the Ganges at Benares allowing trains to go to Mughalsarai.
The present building towards city side was constructed during the regime of Mr Kamlapati Tripathi as railway minister. Cantonment side building was opened in 1998 by then railway minister Mr Nitish Kumar. The circulating area was renovated in 2008.

The Ganges (/ˈɡændʒiːz/ GAN-jeez), also Ganga (Hindi: [ˈɡəŋɡaː]), is a trans-boundary river of India and Bangladesh. The 2,525 km (1,569 mi) river rises in the western Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, and flows south and east through the Gangetic Plain of North India into Bangladesh, where it empties into the Bay of Bengal. It is the third largest river in the World by discharge.
The Ganges is the most sacred river to Hindus[4] and is also a lifeline to millions of Indians who live along its course and depend on it for their daily needs.[5] It is worshipped as the goddess Ganga in Hinduism.[6] It has also been important historically: many former provincial or imperial capitals (such as Patliputra,[7] Kannauj,[7] Kara, Kashi, Allahabad, Murshidabad, Munger, Baharampur, Kampilya and Kolkata) have been located on its banks.
The Ganges was ranked as the fifth most polluted river of the world in 2007,[8] Pollution threatens not only humans, but also more than 140 fish species, 90 amphibian species and the endangered Ganges river dolphin.[8] The Ganga Action Plan, an environmental initiative to clean up the river, has been a major failure thus far,[9][10][11] due to corruption and lack of technical expertise,[12] lack of good environmental planning,[13] and lack of support from religious authorities.[14]

Kanpur Sangrahalaya / Kanpur Museum (Hindi: कानपुर पुरातत्व संग्रहालय) is a museum in Kanpur, the industrial hub of Uttar Pradesh in North India. It is the official museum in Kanpur. It was built by the British as King Edward Memorial Hall in honour of Edward VII. It is a storehouse of artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the events and people who have influenced the making of Kanpur city and tell many interesting details about the historical past of the city.

As it is the official museum, it is the primary local institution serving as source of information about history of Kanpur.
