The Fudge Family in Paris is a 1818 epistolary verse novel by Thomas Moore. It was intended to be a comedic critique of the post-war settlement of Europe following the Congress of Vienna and the large number of British and Irish families who flocked to France for tourism. It was inspired in part by a brief trip that Moore had made to Paris.
It depicts the visit to Paris of the fictional Fudge family in the wake of the end of the Napoleonic Wars and the restoration of the Bourbon regime. The story is told through the letters of four characters: the father Phil Fudge, his children Bob and Biddy and the family tutor Phelim Connor. Phil is in the city researching a book which he intends to be propaganda on behalf of his patron Lord Castlereagh, the foreign secretary. His son is a dandy mainly interested in the city's restaurants while his dizzy daughter is seeking romance. She falls in love with a young man who she believes to be the King of Prussia in disguise, but is in fact a draper.
It was published on 20 April 1818 by Longmans. The work proved popular and sparked a number of imitations by other writers depicting the Fudge Family's antics in other cities including Edinburgh, Washington and Dublin. Castlereagh, who was the target of much of the humour, read the work and did not much mind it but objected to the letters of the pro-Bonaparte tutor Connor which he thought were "in very bad taste".
Terius Youngdell Nash (Born September 20, 1977), better known by his stage name The-Dream, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. He is known for co-writing chart topping hits such as "Baby" for Justin Bieber, "Umbrella" for Rihanna and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" for Beyoncé, as well as for his three solo albums, Love Hate, Love vs. Money, and Love King.
Terius Nash was born in Rockingham, North Carolina and moved with his mother, Reva Nash, to Atlanta at the age of 3. He played trumpet, drums, and guitar as a child. His mother died in 1992 when Nash was fifteen years old, an event which would inspire him to write songs. He states that the death of his mother gave him a "soft spot" for women, which he credits to his desire to write songs about female empowerment such as Rihanna's "Umbrella". He moved in with his grandfather, a concrete mason who instilled a strong work ethic in young Nash. Of his grandfather, Nash recalls "He came out of a bad time for blacks in the South, but even though we lived in the hood, we had a boat, some cars and a house that was paid for. So I’ve always had a different outlook on life. There’s nothing I can’t do."
Meet...
New values and dreams
New passions and rules
New actions and thoughts
You...
You're so much surprised
Your mind_s paralyzed
Your essence is dead
Now...
Your mission complete
Feel nothing but pain
And empty again...
Again...
It's more than a mistake
And crowds enjoy
The beautiful view
Again...
The end is the same
Disgusting and mad
meet
at the disco
get on your feet
baby let's go
come feel the heat
electric glow
dance to the beat
you're a pro
I can see it in your eyes
no goodbyes, no disguise
from your sighs
and then the temperature will soar
I want more, on the dance floor, paramour
and now we're heading for the door
walking your way
you're so sublime
it's time to play
the perfect crime
what can i say
and one more time
action replay
I can sense it in your smile
I can sense it in your smile
I can sense it in your smile
you've got style, to beguile, you know i'll
i'll really make it worth the wait
it's our fate, now it's late, you look great
and now i hope you take the bait
if you want me hold me close
will our our bodies juxtapose
