Discourse (from Latin discursus, meaning "running to and from") generally refers to "written or spoken communication". The following are three more specific definitions:
Discourse in the first sense is studied in corpus linguistics. Analysis of discourse in the second and third senses is carried out within a variety of traditions that investigate the relations between language, structure and agency, including sociology, feminist studies, anthropology, ethnography, cultural studies, literary theory, and the philosophy of science. Within these fields, the notion of "discourse" is itself subject to discourse, that is, debated on the basis of specialized knowledge. Discourse can be observed in multimodal/multimedia forms of communication including the use of spoken, written and signed language in contexts spanning from oral history to instant message conversations to textbooks.
Discourses being corpuses of texts or communication have internal relations to themselves as well as external to other discourses. Thus, a discourse is not locally isolated, rather interdiscourse and interdiscursivity takes part in the constitution of a discourse.

Śri Sathya Sai Baba (born as Sathyanarayana Raju (23 November 1926 – 24 April 2011) was an Indian guru, spiritual figure, mystic, philanthropist and educator. He claimed to be the reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi, considered a spiritual saint and a reputed miracle worker, who died in 1918 and whose teachings were an eclectic blend of Hindu and Muslim beliefs. The materializations of vibhuti (holy ash) and other small objects such as rings, necklaces and watches by Sathya Sai Baba were a source of both fame and controversy; devotees considered them signs of divinity, while skeptics viewed them as simple conjuring tricks. Photos of him are displayed in millions of homes and on the dashboards of cars, and lockets bearing his photo are worn by many as a symbol of good fortune.
Almost everything known about Sathya Sai Baba's early life stems from the hagiography that grew around him, the presentation of narratives that hold special meaning to his devotees and are considered by them evidence of his divine nature. According to his followers, then, Sathyanarayana Raju was born to Easwaramma and Peddavenkama Raju Ratnakaram in the village of Puttaparthi, in what was the Madras Presidency of British India. His birth, which his mother Eswaramma asserted was by miraculous conception, was also said to be heralded by miracles. His siblings included elder brother Ratnam Sesham Raju (1921–1984), sister Venkamma (1923–1993), a second sister Parvathamma (1928–1998), and younger brother Janakiramiah (1930–2003). As a child, he was described as "unusually intelligent" and charitable, though not an exceptional student, as his interests were more of a spiritual nature. He was uncommonly talented in devotional music, dance and drama, and an avid composer of poems and plays. He was said to be capable of materialising objects such as food and sweets out of thin air.
While the masses are praying, the priests are collecting
This repulsive behaviour is a disgrace for the human race
Religion causes suppression
on those who are are feeble-minded
And for you in need of belief -
I say: Start believe in yourself!
While the masses are in confession for a non-existing god
Another rape is comitted and the victim bares the cross
Religion causes suppression
on those who are are feeble-minded
And for you in need of belief -
I don’t want to be a fucking disgrace in this place do I?
I don’t want to be fucking straight laced in this place do I?
I don’t want to be a crease on a piece of crimpolene do I?
I don’t want to be the colour grey like today do I?
I don’t want to be a fucking disgrace in this place do I?
I don’t want to be the colour grey like today do I?
I’ll be with you
I’ll be with you
For all my days
I don’t want to be dragged over hot coals on a sunny day do I?
I don’t want to be the weatherman in the rain do I?
I don’t want to be a sign of the times do I?
I don’t want to be the butt of the joke that’s all folks do I?
I’ll be with you
I’ll be with you
I remember
Almost every time I felt love
Descend down
And break away until it was gone
My every thought
Stuck inside the hell
That reminds me
That I've just given up
Weighing down my soul
the thought of it's too much
When I think about it all
Can I still find a place
Where my mind stops all the suffering?
Will I live in my disgrace
On and on?
So I see now
All I ever wanted was peace
Inside a
Mind that's always running from me
Where is the sunlight
Where's the repair?
For all the damage
I have done
Weighing down my soul
The thought of it's too much
When I think about it all
Can I still find a place
Where my mind stops all the suffering?
Will I live in my disgrace
On and on?
Weighing down my soul
Can I still find a place
Where my mind stops all the suffering?
Will I live in my disgrace
On and on?
Can I still find a place
Where my mind stops all the suffering?
Will I live in my disgrace
On and on?
Weighing down my soul
When you drive a nail through all that's good,
the carpenter becomes the wood.
If my concentration sounds like wreckage,
it's 'cause I got a new feeling every thirty seconds.
We put a monkey up in space and I know exactly how he felt.
Looking at the latticework of stars, missing his brothers back home.
Too much for a postcard.
Mercy, have we gone too far?
Who put all these criminals in charge?
Did they win, or just hold all the cards?
I'm leaving my place in LA, I'm gonna live in my car.
Surgery girls, from the USO.
Flown farm fresh, pure as snow.
Hand me that flask.
I just can't take it.
She had the eyes of my mom but she was turning me on.
Now I'm fading.
I got duct tape all around my heart.
I got a satellite dish to julienne my mind.
Two-hundred channels,
nothing's on but those network news can make your eyes see blonde.
Mercy, have we lost our way?
Did we come down the ladder from the apes?
Oh, those lonely apes.
Will the beard of the prophet be assuaged?
I was putting my shit in the car when the copters came.
They put a monkey in the white house and his uncle in the movies.
Now the real monkey wants a re-count.
He just couldn't believe they were his own family with those values.
Mercy, pick up your guitar.
We'll need a lot of heroes for this war.
Pick up your guitar.
"Will the last band please bring the flag?"
'cause no one's rocking the boat
Damage has arisen from my need to purify
The charm of novelty exhausting my fear of charity
Love like a strong brick to the heart
A bound reality
Lock to a frayed cage that sways
Down to nothingness
Aggression my dirty flesh the sign
Depression needs more flesh to live
Silence deletes this wind
Premature indication of dark
Can't go back and see that face
On the crystal Figurine
Destruction my last vision of life
Masturbation the only friend I have
All alone with a desperate lie
Awake from deep disgrace to hear
There's no recall to surface
The future of disposed land
All alone with dissenter breed
To have bride and will to be
I came along these bitter years
Death surprises my loneliness
The experience of lie kills creative ability
Asylum for dependence is the cure to my disgrace
Oppression falls into parts today
Termination my executed mind
do you wanna be on what i feel?
it looks so easy it's not that easy it should be simple but have you ever tried -
stay above water, get in the water, drink it and breathe at the same time
take your shirt, roll up your sleeve, tap on your vein, prepare to dream
swimming in and out of space, dyskrasia
do you wanna be on what i feel?
it looks so easy it's not that easy it should be simple but put away your pride
hit fast forward, the edge is shorter, scream and make sure you keep it quiet
feed real into your eyes and drain the way that makes you cry
swimming in and out of space, dyskrasia
do you want to be
do you want to be
do you wanna be on what i feel?
do you want to be one
do you wanna be on what i feel?
swimming in and out of space, dyskrasia
swimming in and out of space, dyskrasia
do you want to be
the noblest ideas
might turn into a farce
mkae sure you do not lose them all
your pace is growing slower now it
would not cross your mind to riot
and to forget about your safety
break in and turn on all the lights
all meanings worn thin
we're lost in disgtace
you took that poison easily
we've done an inch from nothing
now we all agree on waht is real
for the sake of our convenience
no longer standing now we kneel
why don't you get out before you're dead
why don't you get out
do you really want to sleep
This is the true fucking disgrace when one out of three are diseased.
The only thing I'll let you go down on is the barrel of my fucking gun.
There is no dignity,
There is no self respect.
You can't say you have values while you're choking on a dick.
I will show no lament while I'm thrusting my knife into your organs.
You should have closed your legs,
But now you'll have to endure the pain.
Your body twitches and shakes.
Your ailment will infect no more.
While the masses are praying, the priests are collecting
This repulsive behaviour is a disgrace for the human race
Religion causes suppression
on those who are are feeble-minded

I say: Start believe in yourself!
While the masses are in confession for a non-existing god
Another rape is comitted and the victim bares the cross
Religion causes suppression
on those who are are feeble-minded
And for you in need of belief -
Shatter my bones
Tear out my tongue
Forcing me down to my knees
But you'll find no answers from me
Rage all you want because I
Will be here, waiting for
Your world to end
So quiet, quiet, keep your mouth shut
Silence, silence, scream all you want
I will not hear you
Now quiet quiet, steal your harsh tongue
Silence, silence, I am, I am not done
Steal my thoughts
Weaken my will
Try to erase all I am
Through your subtle opiates of fear
Blind me with lies and you will
Scar the mind
Now you'll face the consequences
Quiet, quiet, keep your mouth shut
Silence, silence, scream all you want
I will not hear you
Now quiet quiet, steal your harsh tongue
Silence, silence, I am not done
You think you help but your words only seem to hinder
Their growth, their minds, their ideals
You make them all ignorant
And follow like sheep, like this proverbial lamb to the slaughter house
But I, will not let you, we will, not let you
So quiet, quiet, keep your mouth shut
Silence, silence, scream all you want
I will not hear you
Now quiet quiet, steal your harsh tongue
It's such a shame that you lose at your game
Your disgrace
Hidden hostility and nothing but lies
So destroy your life
Go back on your word
You're only fooling yourself
You're only fooling yourself
The excess of filth that escapes from your mouth
Is enough to deface
The sweetest embrace
You are vulgar and crude
No mercy or rue
Your empire and reign
Has fallen from grace
You live in the sewers of human debris
You're bound by your lies and you'll never be free
Learn to exist in your own world of guile
I'll watch you fall
This way or that way we go
For most of us it's easier
To watch the way they do betray
With wait and see
Looks on their face
Vacant expressions replace
What it was we stood for
We wonder at the motion of the step
The blow
The big disgrace
Now we are stocking the mold
That they have made
To fit like glue
Can't help but think it's all our fault
Can't help but wait for the lightning bolt
Maybe we don't want to know
That every man was bailing out
On issues that they'd have no doubt
With certainty, wipe from their face
They did all they could to replace
What it was we stood for
We wonder at the motion of the step
The blow
The big disgrace
Now we are stocking the mold
That they have made
To fit like glue
Can't help but think it's all our fault
After all these years, I can't just turn my back
All the blood, the sweat and all the tears
You've got to earn your respect
Well what the fuck do you want from me?
Cause you don't give a fuck about my scene
And I could give two fucks about you
Stop living vicariously through
You're running around like some old school star
But we don't know who you are
You dropped out - after a year
I know you're fake - you're fucking insincere
You're gone longer than you were here
Well now you're back and we don't care
We didn't build the scene for you to disgrace it
I didn't make a name for myself fo you to claim it
To you this is just another trend
But I'll be representing hardcore to the bitter end
The few, the proud, it's a way of life
Me and my friends always side by side
Cause we've got respect for each other
I treat my motherfucking friends like brothers
We didn't build the scene for you to disgrace it
