Same Bridget. Brand new diary.
The perfect boyfriend. The perfect life. What could posssibly go wrong?
Big Lawyer. Big Liar. Big Problem
Bridget's back! (UK)
Mark Darcy: [answers the phone] Hello?::Bridget Jones: It's me. Just wondered how you are.::Mark Darcy: I'm fine thanks. Everything alright with you?::Bridget Jones: Fine, though, er, I've just had a rather graphic shag flashback. You do have a genuinely gorgeous bottom.::Mark Darcy: Right, well, thank you. I'm actually with the Mexican Ambassador just at the moment and the Head of Amnesty International and the Under Secretary for Trade and Industry and you're on speakerphone.::Bridget Jones: Oh, right.
Daniel Cleaver: [Daniel Cleaver and Mark Darcy have just had a fistfight over Bridget] You know what, mate? If you are so obsessed with Bridget Jones, why don't you just marry her?::Mark Darcy: [turns away and starts to walk]::Daniel Cleaver: [pause] Cause then she'd definitely shag me.::[Mark dives again into the fountain]
Daniel Cleaver: [after fighting and falling into a fountain together] What are you gonna do now? Drown me in sixteen inches of water?::Mark Darcy: [slight pause] Yes, certainly.::[fight resumes]
Mark Darcy: And this is Horatio...::Bridget Jones: Horatio?::Mark Darcy: Yes, Horatio.
Bridget Jones: I read that you should never go out with someone if you can think of three reasons why you shouldn't.::Mark Darcy: And can you think of three?::Bridget Jones: Yes.::Mark Darcy: Which are?::Bridget Jones: First off, I embarrass you. I can't ski, I can't ride, I can't speak Latin , my legs only come up to here and yes I will always be just a little bit fat. And you, you fold your underpants before you go to bed!::Mark Darcy: No, hang on! That-that can't be a reason.::Bridget Jones: No, it's not a reason! But you're not perfect either! You look down your nose at absolutely everyone and you're incapable of doing anything spontaneous or potentially affectionate. [pause] It feels like you're waiting to find someone in the VIP room who's- who's so fantastic, just the way she is, that you don't need to fix her.::Mark Darcy: Bridget, this is mad.::Bridget Jones: And perhaps you thought you found her. [long pause] Do you *want* to marry me?::[awkward silence]::Mark Darcy: Look- I...::Bridget Jones: You see, you can never muster the strength, to fight for me.::[long silence. Mark opens his mouth and closes it again. Bridget walks out]
Bridget Jones: She's got legs up to here! My legs only come up to here!
Bridget Jones: Daniel Cleaver is a deceitful, sexist, disgusting specimen of humanity that I wouldn't share a lift with, let alone a job.::Daniel Cleaver: [swings around on his chair, coming into Bridget's view] Oh, come on Jones there must have been something you liked about me.::Bridget Jones: You have a nice car. And - quite nice manners, outside the bedroom. But that's about it. And by the way, I know exactly where Germany is. The question is, do you know the location of your arsehole? [walks out]::Daniel Cleaver: [to other colleagues] As a matter of fact I do know the exact location of my arsehole. And hers, for that matter.
[last lines]::Bridget Jones: I truly believe that happiness is possible... even when you're thirty-three and have a bottom the size of two bowling balls.
Bridget Jones: You think you've found the right man, but there's so much wrong with him, and then he finds there's so much wrong with you, and then it all just falls apart.
Bridget Jones: Friends - they spend years trying to find you a boyfriend, but the moment you get one, they instantly tell you to dump him!

Clive Barker (born 5 October 1952) is an English author, film director and visual artist best known for his work in both fantasy and horror fiction. Barker came to prominence in the mid-1980s with a series of short stories which established him as a leading young horror writer. He has since written many novels and other works, and his fiction has been adapted into motion pictures, notably the Hellraiser and Candyman series.
Clive Barker was born in Liverpool, England, the son of Joan Rubie (née Revill), a painter and school welfare officer, and Leonard Barker, a personnel director for an industrial relations firm. Educated at Dovedale Primary School and the former Quarry Bank High School now Calderstones Quarry Bank High School, he studied English and Philosophy at Liverpool University. The Damnation Game and Volume 2 of The Books of Blood are dedicated to John Gregson[who?].
In 2003, Barker received The Davidson/Valentini Award at the 15th GLAAD Media Awards, presented "to an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender individual who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for any of those communities". While Barker is critical of organized religion, he has identified himself as a Christian and has stated that the Bible influences his work.
Clive Wearing (May 11, 1938) is a British musicologist, conductor, tenor and keyboardist suffering from an acute and long-lasting case of anterograde and retrograde amnesia, meaning that he lacks both the ability to form new memories and to recall some aspects of his past memories.
Clive Wearing is an accomplished musician, and is known for editing the works of Orlande de Lassus. Wearing sang at Westminster Cathedral as a tenor lay clerk for many years and also had a successful career as a chorus master and worked as such at Covent Garden and the London Sinfonietta Chorus.
In 1968 he founded the Europa Singers of London, an amateur choir specialising in music of the 17th, 18th and 20th centuries. It won critical approval especially for performances of the Monteverdi Vespers. In 1977 it gave the first performance in the Russian Cathedral of Sir John Tavener's setting of the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom with Roderick Earle as bass soloist, and subsequently made a recording (Ikon Records No. 9007). The Europa Singers also competed in the XXXII Concorso Polifonico Internazionale in Arezzo in 1984, and provided choruses for operas staged by the London Opera Centre, including Lully's Alceste and Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, which was performed at Sadler's Wells.
"The Man" is a slang phrase that may refer to the government or to some other authority in a position of power. In addition to this derogatory connotation, it may also serve as a term of respect and praise.
The phrase "the Man is keeping me down" is commonly used to describe oppression. The phrase "stick it to the Man" encourages resistance to authority, and essentially means "fight back" or "resist", either openly or via sabotage.
The earliest recorded use[citation needed] of the term "the Man" in the American sense dates back to a letter written by a young Alexander Hamilton in September 1772, when he was 15. In a letter to his father James Hamilton, published in the Royal Dutch-American Gazette, he described the response of the Dutch governor of St. Croix to a hurricane that raked that island on August 31, 1772. "Our General has issued several very salutary and humane regulations and both in his publick and private measures, has shewn himself the Man." [dubious – discuss] In the Southern U.S. states, the phrase came to be applied to any man or any group in a position of authority, or to authority in the abstract. From about the 1950s the phrase was also an underworld code word for police, the warden of a prison or other law enforcement or penal authorities.
Your morning smile of torture
Holds me in its grip
You trace the taste of yesterday
The bruise upon my lip
You touch my eyes and hypnotize
And slip inside my heart
I wait for this forever
But we always fall apart
You want to hold me closer
And secretly entice
You take the size of shadowed men
And punish me with kisses every night
This espionage is sweeter now
Now that we're alone
But I meet your eyes and then despise
All we call our own
I write my name in lipstick
On the mirror as I leave
To stay would be too dangerous
To break the make-believe
You want to hold me closer
And secretly entice
You take the size of shadowed men
Move inside my daydream: like
fingers in a glove: twisting round
and round and round: round and round
and round with love!: the meeker
sleeker circle girls dressed in docile
white: spinning on a hill they follow
the dracula kite: the first idea
flew thin and uninvited from
the sky: I reached out my
hands and held the knife of
ice: very thin red water
flowed underneath my skin: I
turned their eyes blue children:
the perfect murder: wait until
the darkest coldest summer
nights that s when it starts
but if you blink you' ll miss
the fun you'll lose their
One mile in the air that's where she lives
Her body looks so thin and pink and small
Dropping eggs from nervous shaking hands
And swallowing her fingers as they fall
Two people dance on the edge
Three of us push them away
There's nowhere to go
We're all in this
But nothing can hurt us at all
Fight her all you want you'll never win
Couldn't we just once leave her in bed
Let the dry air cut her happy throat
Hide her heart and lose her happy head
First I was a murderer then I was a saint
Now I live on stolen time
Twist and run like paint
Like an animal
Tuesday in the sun
Nothing could be worse
Your body grows more beautiful
With every move you make
Your body grows more beautiful
With every bite I take
You won't believe I love you
It's too stupid for words
So I lick your trembling lips
And use your hands to feed the birds
I laid with you for hours
Staring at your face
I laid with you for hours
Remembering your taste
And when the morning came
It splattered us in light
I think I left you sleeping there
I think I left you sleeping
Mouth to mouth - I asked you to stay
Mouth to mouth - But you're slipping away
Down seven stairs and first on the left
Arch your back and hold your breath
A million fat girls and a million fat men
Couldn't put me back together again
Your body grows so beautiful
With every move you make
Your body grows so beautiful
With every bite I take
A million fat girls and a million fat men
Like a looking glass girl
In a miniature world
Saw you dance like dice
And tumble to the floor
Like a looking glass girl
In a miniature world
Whirl your disney arms
And jump the merry-go-round
The umbrella man is shouting
We shake his paper hands
There's mirrors down beneath our feet
So "let's skate down the street"
The casino man is laughing
He wears a shivering hat
We peel away like tinsel
Stick like splinters to the wall
Like a looking glass girl
In a miniature world
She saw you dressed in rags
In-and-out of a jack-in-a-box
Because she's a looking glass girl
In a miniature world
Whirl your see-saw arms
And ride the catherine wheel
Someone's evil laugh shoots down my back
Shapeless and aging we start to run
Through the tangle of your broken words
This cheap impulse falls so dry
In the maze I burn down turn
You turn my skin around
Wishing my eyes could look down down on me...
Stairs fall like jewels
As we near the door
You fold through my neck
Arms like crystal
So black with charm breath
We turn to face the dying sun...
This green city rains down on me
Here comes the book
the book of rules
if you play this game
you won t stay the same
you could win your golden teeth
be a spinning top
use a riding crop
Mr. Alphabet says
"smile like a weasel
as I cover you...
cover you in treacle"
we all know impatience
is a sin. so do as you re
told to do, it s SO rewarding to...
and you could win the tin man s heart
be a chiming clock
lie on the chopping block
Mr. Alphabet says
"give me all your money
just to cover you
cover you in honey"
Don t be afraid
There s no marmalade
Don t be afraid
A disease is under my fingernails
It stains me like a tattoo
Back on the rack
Aching with time
Your face is familiar
From another crime
And we could swim
We could swim
My little fishes and me
Overgrown senses prickle and spark
The flesh is in the palm of my hand
Back on the rack
Love under will
Your face is familiar
From another kill
A tongue explodes into my mouth
A taste of coma and tears
Back on the rack
My shape of rage
Your face is familiar
From another cage
And we could swim
We could swim
Don? t you let the heat out of the oven lord
It takes awhile to build a fire
Don? t let? em cool you down
Don? t let? em cool you down
Cause it? s some hot cookin? that? s goin? on tonight
And the temperature is risin? just right
All I got to do is keep this fire burnin? bright
And I think I might
Cause if you put the fuel into the fire
And you start a chain reaction
Which is burning me
Tossin? turning me through the night
The temperature is risin? fine
It? s this feeling strong I cant mask
Its time for you to melt into desire
Cause it? s some hot cookin? that? s goin? on tonight
And the temperature is risin? just right
All I got to do is keep this fire burnin? bright
And I think I might
My momma always said don? t play with fire
Don? t you go and burn this whole house down
But I? m about to strike this match
And put paper on the fire
So you better run and call someone to come
My fever? s pitchin? and I? m not so sure
Just what I? m talkin? bout
I put my foot into my mouth
I don? t know what I? m sayin?
But now is not the time for words
Forget all those things you heard
Its time for you to melt into the fire
Cause it? s some hot cookin? that? s goin? on tonight
And the temperature is risin? just right
All I got to do is keep this fire burnin? bright
And I think I might
Yes I think I might
Yes I think I might
Run around the chairs in your Sunday dress
It's the best thing money can buy
Or leave me on the stairs with my feet in the air
I think that I'm jazzy like Christ
One more cigarette and the car burns slow
Burning like the body waiting at home
Throw out your teeth and call all your friends
Someone's coughing took away my breath
Inches of glass all shiny and new
Screaming laughing fucks me to death
One more boy full of writhing white mice
Rolls over again in a London disguise
The blood bath woman in room number one
Sex-eye-make-up tonight
She just woke up today to do as she's told
VERSE 1:
Du, du, du, du, du ...
The alarm clock rings - suddenly I? m shocked
Did I oversleep today
Thank god it? s sunday - I don? t have to work
I feel so dizzy when I open up my eyes
BRIDGE:
Who is lying there
Something in the air
That girl is lost and found
I get close to her
I just sit and stare
Then she turns around
CHORUS:
So let? s stay in bed
You? re the sweetest girl I? ve ever met
Time is on my side
And everytime is like last night
It? s a beautiful, it? s a beautiful, it? s a beautiful morning
It? s a beautiful, it? s a beautiful, it? s a beautiful morning
VERSE 2:
Du, du, du, du, du ...
Ain? t that toothbrush mine? suddenly I? m shocked
Must be dreaming anyway
I see a lipstick? solid as a rock
I have to go to bed and close my eyes
BRIDGE:
What is going on
Didn? t make it home
All I remember are the blue eyes in my dream
Then I turn to see
How she looks at me
Now I know she? s real
PRE CHORUS/SOLO
What a beautiful morning
Cause I got you by my side
What a beautiful morning
So many faces, so many names -
So many people playing games
A million hands I have to shake -
I need a break
I see people running 'round -
Shaking hands, talking about
Everything but nothing -
What a funny crowd
I hear so many stories -
Boring stories
Every single day - it's my day
Really something special
Every single day - make my day
Cause it all belongs to me
Every single day
Kind of new and precious
Baby superficial
Talks about the weather
I don't hear the words -
It doesn't matter
So many people, so many eyes -
So many lips are telling lies
So many times when you pretend -
To be a friend
Pretty vacant deep inside -
Hope and glory day and night
Small-talk terror -
Doesn't feel right
I hear so many stories -
Boring stories
Every single day - it's my day
Really something special
Every single day - make my day
Cause it all belongs to me
Every single day
Kind of new and precious
Baby superficial
Talks about the weather
I don't hear the words -
It doesn't matter
I know what's good - for me
I know what's good - for me
Every single day - it's my day
Really something special
Every single day - make my day
Cause it all belongs to me
Every single day
Kind of new and precious
Baby superficial
Talks about the weather
I don't hear the words -
I'm standing in a street
And I'm just watching
Watching people passing by
The wind blows through my hair
And suddenly you're there
When walking down your street
I am still wishing
Wishing that you had not died
So many years have passed
But still your memory lasts
It happened when nobody was expecting it
And then you were gone
You have to know I'd like to press repeat
I want to see you again
A place up in the sky is where we'll meet
You'll always be my friend
You were too good for hell
That's why I'm hoping
Hoping that you are o.k.
And in the night you are
My shining lucky star
It happened when nobody was expecting it
And then you were gone
You have to know I'd like to press repeat
I want to see you again
A place up in the sky is where we'll meet
You'll always be my friend
It helps that in my heart
I know you're still there
You have to know I'd like to press repeat
I want to see you again
A place up in the sky is where we'll meet
You blame the nation for making you sick
communication it's always a trick
yes you are so tired of all the channels you see
why don't you make it stop,
switch off your bloody TV
if they make you believe you'll never be free
I am not, I am not, I am not happy
I'm not happy about this complication
happy about this conversation
why don't you change you situation
and just be happy
Politicians are bringing you down
but nobody saw you vote in your town
you've never ever learned what a friendship is for
if you are able to help, you never open the door
so sad you'll never get out you're lost on your couch
Desperation, no vacation, irritation, escalation, separation, bad vibration, doubt about united nations fascination, exploitation, talking 'bout my generation people they abuse me, people they accuse me they confuse and seduce me, I am pissed off at everything
I'm not happy about this complication
when you are gone you leave frustration
why do you force your isolation
Always have you on my mind
You've been a part of my life
Sometimes you're just a ghost
That's when I miss you most
Mother left us far too soon
I was crying at the moon
There's nothing left to loose
And no need to excuse
Here's all
All about me
All about me
My love will last forever
Tell me all
All about you
All about you
We have to stay together
I didn't go a long way in life
Didn't know who I can trust
And no matter what I do
It all comes back to you
I cannot find my place
Brother - catch my fall
There's nothing left to loose
And no need to excuse
Here's all
All about me
All about me
My love will last forever
Tell me all
All about you
All about you
We have to stay together
I was wrong - now I see
That love is the key
VERSE 1:
Years ago we met by chance
Thinking - we? d start the greatest love of all
Both of us were in a trance
Together we have been so strong
Through the years I felt a change
Suspecting? we could not keep our love alive
Soon it all
Became so strange
CHORUS:
You? re gone
But where I don? t know
Footsteps you left in the snow
Now I? m alone
But where should I go
I feel like I miss you so
VERSE 2:
I shy away from love these days
Because? I need to be alone for now
We have to go different ways
Then I may understand my faults
I? m sure that it will take some time
Until? I open up my heart again
It? s so dark
The sun won? t shine
CHORUS:
You? re gone
But where I don? t know
Footsteps you left in the snow
Now I? m alone
But where should I go
I feel like I miss you so
I? d like to set off
And follow your track
But I know you would never come back
All that remains
At the end of the show
I miss you today
I'll miss you tomorrow
Girl - your love is like a cure
I've never been so sure
That you are the one
I - want to stay by your side
'Cause in the darkest night
You make me feel strong
I miss you today
I'll miss you tomorrow
I wish I could stay
My heart feels so hollow
I hope and I pray
That you feel no sorrow
I'm gone today
And I'm still gone tomorrow
Girl, you used to start to cry
When I said goodbye
Please remember I'll be back
I - feel like I do belong
To you - yes we are one
We're on the right track
But now the Fall winds blow
That means I have to go
I miss you today
I'll miss you tomorrow
I wish I could stay
My heart feels so hollow
I hope and I pray
That you feel no sorrow
I'm gone today
He reels across the street
In his hand a sticky weed
Ah did he drink too much
Ah did he drug too much
Can't straighten out his thoughts
Crazy world where are your gods
Who will help him in the pain
Who will help to cure his brain
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford clinic oh yeah
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford, he will go there
Smoke a little, drink a little -
Everything's fine
Betty Ford she'll take care -
na-na-na, na-na
Thought he was with a woman in bed
He had sex with a man instead
Uh did he drink too much
Uh did he drug too much
He's lost his mind and heart
But he thinks he's very smart
Who will help him in his pain
Who will help to cure his brain
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford clinic oh yeah
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford, he will go there
Smoke a little, drink a little -
Everything's fine
Betty Ford she'll take care -
na-na-na, na-na
In this center we will all meet again
If you're addicted -
We can be friends
Small-red eyes, faded skin
Everybody come in
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford clinic oh yeah
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford, he will go there
Smoke a little, drink a little -
Everything's fine
Betty Ford she'll take care -
na-na-na, na-na
Ba-Ba-Betty Ford clinic oh yeah
He saw a lady and his heart was beating fast
And then just accidently her scarf fell on the ground
Too blind to see he didn't get up from his ass
He missed the only chance he ever really had
In a little town lives a Mr. BrownHe's a decent man
Monday time to work - Sunday time for church
He does what he can
To stand in the last row - never let it go
Only to feel safe
Hello Mr. Brown - Come out of your town
It's easier when you just act brave
Yes Mr. Brown just doesn't look as if he's rich
'Cause all the money he earns goes directly in the bank
Some people say that Mr. Brown must be bewitched
Uh sometimes happyness results from very different things
I wonder why I'm still into you
I wake up and all I wanna do is shout
It feels like no one understands
Girl listen here is where the nightmare
Where the nightmare ends
Where you and me commence
Celebrate youth - celebrate
This is what they say
But I gotta have it my way
Celebrate youth - celebrate
You don't have to turn me on
Do, do, do, do, do-o
We are free
Do, do, do, do, do-do...
As free as can be
Do, do, do, do, do-o
Cause we hold the truth
Do, do, do, do, do-do...
Yes we celebrate -
We celebrate youth
Some people know it better than you
Some people go crazy - and you're a fool
Your parents golden garden fence
Boy listen here is where the nightmare
Where the nightmare ends
Where you and me commence
Celebrate youth - celebrate
This is what they say
But I gotta have it my way
Celebrate youth - celebrate
You don't have to turn me on
Do, do, do, do, do-o
We are free
Do, do, do, do, do-do...
As free as can be
Do, do, do, do, do-o
Cause we hold the truth
Do, do, do, do, do-do...
Yes we celebrate -
We celebrate youth
Where the nightmare ends
Where you and me commence
Celebrate youth - celebrate
This is what they say
But I gotta have it my way
Celebrate youth - celebrate
You don't have to turn me on
Do, do, do, do, do-o
We are free
Do, do, do, do, do-do...
As free as can be
Do, do, do, do, do-o
Cause we hold the truth
Do, do, do, do, do-do...
Yes we celebrate -
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the musics high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn em on
Leave them burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
Lean, skinny or fat, I'm untouchable
poor, meagre or reach, that's personal
bein' a freak, or dumb or an addict
even cheap or proud or a convict
I don't want to live somebody elses life
I am just a guy who's got some life inside
but someone drives me mad, I'm looking for the saviour
ask me who it is my friend,
it's my neighbour
I want you to take care of your own business neighbour's got eyes on me
I know you take the chance if I am careless and you make up stories
You rusty, ugly, curious man
going through my garbage can
always pinning back your ears
when somebody else appears
you make things much worse than they already are
when I'm coming home you're hidin in your car
I wish you'd go to hell where you will meet your maker
I'm in trouble, beeing judged by the neighbour
Eyes stuck to my back, when I walk
I am in your mouth, when you talk
behind the curtain it is
you I know for certain it is you
Why don't you take care of your private business
I'm everywhere just like ozone, I ring your telephone
you always take your chance to make me nervous
She's independent,
She goes out working
On weekdays she is on the run
I am her neighbour,
I want to tell her
That I would love to take her out
But when it's Friday,
She's on the highway
Julie goes out to have fun
Julie goes out to have fun
All her work has been done
She goes out to have fun
I've tried to meet her alone
But she's never at home
It makes you want to weep
To see there is no chance
She likes to be a single
She likes to live alone
Oh my god - she's amazing
She's driving me crazy
But I know that I'm not the one
Late in the night when -
It's early morning
She's back with a smile on her face
On second glance she -
is still so hungry
The sparkle now changes to tears
Hard working woman,
Where is your man?
Julie goes out to have fun
Julie goes out to have fun
All her work has been done
She goes out to have fun
I've tried to meet her alone
But she's never at home
It makes you want to weep
To see there is no chance
She likes to be a single
She likes to live alone
Oh my god - she's amazing
She's driving me crazy
But I know that I'm not the one
I wish I could reach you -
But you're still just looking for fun
You don't expect a relationship -
Oh Julie I am not the one
Julie goes out to have fun
All her work has been done
She goes out to have fun
I've tried to meet her alone
But she's never at home
It makes you want to weep
To see there is no chance
She likes to be a single
She likes to live alone
Oh my god - she's amazing
She's driving me crazy
But I know that I'm not the one
Oh my god - she's amazing
She's driving me crazy
Once upon a time
I thought she could be mine
I couldn't let her go
She had a special glow
She came to me and said
Musicians drive her mad
Took lessons from a friend
Bought an Orange guitar amp
I practiced all the time -
And then I almost got the chords
I started with a rhyme -
And soon I wrote a lot of words
I saw her standing there
She was just everywhere
Once upon a time
I thought she could be mine
I couldn't let her go
She had a special glow
She came to me and said
Musicians drive her mad
Took lessons from a friend
Bought an Orange guitar amp
Skipped work and dinner time -
Yes I worked until late at night
Like poets I drank wine -
To write for her was sheer delight
I saw her standing there
She was just everywhere
Once upon a time
I thought she could be mine
I couldn't let her go
She had a special glow
She came to me and said
Musicians drive her mad
Took lessons from a friend
Bought an Orange guitar amp
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na...
I saw her standing there
She was just everywhere
Softly I closed my eyes
And thought that she's so nice
Once upon a time
I thought she could be mine
I couldn't let her go
She had a special glow
She came to me and said
Musicians drive her mad
Took lessons from a friend
Bought an Orange guitar amp
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na...
I was oh so wrong
Cause when I played her song
She said she likes the amp
Last night I had a great dream
Though it wasn't 'bout a girl
I was elected to be president
Of my own private world
So I gave the name boarderland
And everybody rushed
Into this first rate climate
Created without slush
We have a five day weekend -
And work two days a week
On which we have good parties -
Where fun is guaranteed
It's cool I am the president
The president of boarderland
It's my private wonderland
I do whatever I like -
And will not do
What is recommended
By a boring government
I'm a boarding president
I do whatever I like -
And I say
Uhh-Uhh - don't wake me up
Uhh-Uhh
Well, you don't have to pay me
If you want to take a ride
But make sure to meet me
On a hard days night
No sickness after parties
Just drink as much as you like
It never snows in daytime
It's snowing in the night
We have a five day weekend -
And work two days a week
On which we have good parties -
Where fun is guaranteed
It's cool I am the president
The president of boarderland
It's my private wonderland
I do whatever I like -
And will not do
What is recommended
By a boring government
I'm a boarding president
I do whatever I like -
And I say
Uhh-Uhh - don't wake me up
Uhh-Uhh - just don't stop
And now I am the president
The president of boarderland
I'm depending on your helping hand
To rule the entire continent
It's cool I am the president
The president of boarderland
It's my private wonderland
I do whatever I like -
And will not do
What is recommended
By a boring government
I'm a boarding president
I do whatever I like -
And I say
Uhh-Uhh - don't wake me up
Top girls have a very special style
they hide safe on an isle
with a little luck you can meet them there hello
Keep on searching for the one
'cause the magic is all gone
we are stranded in the night is all right
I feel so tired of all the tests
to find the one who's best
does it have to be this way
ref.
Top girls have...
Now it's time for me to go
cause you make me feel so low
your top boy i'll never be so i'm heading out to sea
it doesn't matter if you're ugly or a beauty
you can be fat, thin, big or small, clever or stupid
as long as we're goin' the same way
ref.
Top girls have...
Top girls are like mermaids, hard to catch
they make the perfect match
Hated my time in school,
The teachers were all fools
They said learn to become,
come-come-come-come someone
After that bitter pill,
I felt so badly ill
And it continued
When I fa-fa-found a job
Parents want me to work in a safe position
All I wanna do ist write a composition
Like to free myself with very loud music
That's where I get my kicks
Don't want a daily routine -
On stage I wanna be seen
That's why I'll never return,
Turn-turn-it on and
Let's rock, let's rock,
Let's rock, let's rock
Free youself and
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop, don't stop
I advise you to rock
Don't want no ugly spouse,
Don't want to build no house
And in the evening we,
Wa-wa-watch TV
Weekends we meet her mummy,
her jokes are not so funny
And in the tacky flat,
I am not allowed to smoke
Asking us if we don't
Want to have some children
And she wants to know
Why we still live so urban
Like to free myself with very loud sounds
Yes I get off the ground
Everybody plans my life,
I think I wanna die
Luckily I have the cure -
cure and it goes
Let's rock, let's rock,
Let's rock, let's rock
Free youself and
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop, don't stop
I advise you to rock
Money makes the world go round
To this rule you're gagged and bound
No sweets without some sweat
Oh people get so sad
Over what they've never had
Why are they so upset?
Oh shit!
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday -
Draggin' me down
Thursday, Friday, yeah -
It's finally gettin' highday
Don't have to punch the clock - now -
All I wanna do ist ... rock
Let's rock,
Let's rock, let's rock
Free youself and
Don't stop, don't stop,
Don't stop, don't stop
I advise you to rock
Money makes the world go round
To this rule you're gagged and bound
No sweets without some sweat
Oh people get so sad
Over what they've never had
Why are they so upset?
She caught me in a trap
I wasn't quite prepared
She watches every step
I'd like her to succed
i'm waiting for that kiss
a deadly kiss indeed
You put a curse on me
This is an emergency. Hello Hell!
The devil's in love with me
absolute lunacy
is the devil in love just with me?
I'm running through the night
But i need to get down
i'm burning deep inside
At the end of a dead end street
You're waiting with the fuel
i't you i have to meet
Nothing that comforts me
This is an emergency. Hello Hell!
The devil's in love with me
absolute lunacy
im so sorry about the word, the words that i was talking
im so sorry about the years, the years that i was walking.
through the world of all my fears. but now its not the time to dry my tears.
cause im still here.
she knows that im already waiting,
the knows that i show how i am.
when we return to be run we have taking
i never ever be someone, hows of the run.
now im thinking about the time
the time that we will wasting
why we didnt feel inside?
the picture we will painting
how could we become so blind?
we try the hide but we are all one kind.
i dont know why
she knows that im already waiting,
the knows that i show how i am.
when we return to be run we have taking
i never ever be someone, hows of the run.
and she knows... (waiting, waiting)
i still dream there is a place,
a place in deeply mission,
theres a longing in your face
a face than i can kissing
and you almost say "good breath"
turns me that i need i usally.
yah im still here.
she knows that im already waiting,
the knows that i show how i am.
when we return to be run we have taking
i never ever be someone, hows of the run.
and she knows... (waiting, waiting)
she knows that im already waiting,
the knows that i show how i am.
when we return to be run we have taking
Verse 1:
One two, whats up with you - did someone
Try to bring you down? - Were here to
Play for you, we have a little clue - were gonna
Wipe away your frown - yeah
Dee-wee, take your eyes and see - theres so much
Happiness around - right now this
Song is sad but we will go ahead and
Turn you around and around and around and around
Chorus:
Were here in high spirits - were here in high spirits
Find a way to find fun in the simple things and the little things
High, high, high, high spiritsHigh, high, high, high spirits
Tell me why we cant always be in
High, high, high - minor comes
Verse 2:
With hope you go to bed, that the
Next day will be alright - Will you
Have the luck to have a happy day or will youGet into a fight
Are you the one who things he can
Decide it on his own
Is it the energy around ourselves or
Myself who makes things goin on
Yes I can't explain, the thunder in my brain
When I walk into the lamp-post
On the boulevard, thinking I'm a star
I always walk into the lamp-post
I was the best, long time ago
It was in school, got the best marks
Took the best tests, in the first row
Around me just fools, that hung round in bars
It's different today, I hear myself say
And grab another whisky glas
And I feel no tears, cause after eight beers
I feel great in superclass,
Super-super-superclass
Yes I can't explain, the thunder in my brain...
Hey I busted my head
And I do not feel o.k.-i-ey-i-ey
I‘ve noticed that my face is scratched
And people lough about my way-i-ey-i-ey
When I look back, what have I done
Threw it away, the money is gone
But here is my beer, yeah I'm having fun
And in my own way, I am faithful
It's different today, I hear myself say...
I don't want you coming here
and wosting all my time
'cos when you're standing oh so near
I kind of lose my mind
it's not the perfume that you wear
it's not the rebbons in your hair
and I don't mind you coming here
and wasting all my time
I don't want you hanging out
and talking in your sleep
it doesn't matter where you've been
as long as it was deep yeah
you always knew to wear it well
you look so fancy I can tell
and I don't mind you hanging out
and talking in your sleep
I guess you're just what I needed
I needed someone to see
I guess yov're jusr what I needed
