Plot
THE PLOT An aristocratic lunatic murders his family then kills himself. A young tree takes root by his grave and over time absorbs its evil spores. Two hundred years later a storm brings the tree crashing to the ground after which part of it is fashioned into a guitar. A guitar with a terrible appetite for blood, usually that of the unfortunate musicians who acquire the horned instrument and become its prey. That guitar might be red but it ain't paint! It's a musical monster. A descendant from one of Europe's most eminent vampire hunting families pursues the killer with the grudging support of a local Police Inspector who is stumped by the strange murders. The deaths are connected by an attendant roadie who works his way in and out of the music business. We follow his career and his ultimate dependence on the guitar for fame and glory. He finally takes part in a showdown that involves a musical shoot out between the forces of good and evil. It's him versus Van Hellbent Junior (the good guy) in a contest that can turn us into angels or devils.

Plot
'Lagos' is a city portrait of the second biggest city in Africa, which could grow well into the third biggest city worldwide by 2025 (UN). It's a virtual day in a Lagos which gained the fame of the NYC of Africa. 'Lagos is the place where you can make it!' Following six protagonists through the stream of traffic, along the rhythm and the unique energy of the city going to the workplaces and centres of religion and music, the film encounters the commercial drive, the force of believe and the omnipresent musical and spiritual heritage of legend Fela Kuti. Such the film obtains an inside perspective of an urban African society in the midst of rapid social change.

Sometimes when you are trying to speak English, you just don't know what to say! Because you are still learning, maybe you need some extra time to think of the correct words. Watch this lesson and learn how English speakers use "hesitation" sounds like "erm", "mmm" and phrases such as "you know" to keep the conversation alive. I'll also teach you some phrases you can easily add to the beginning of sentences to give yourself more time. Hello. My name is Benjamin. I'm a lost tourist in London, and I don't know where to go. I'm going to talk to the ticket man in the London Underground and see if he can help me. "Hello, Mr. ticket man. I would like a ticket to Piccadilly." The man starts talking to me. "Blah, blah, blah." He asks me a question. I don't know what to say, so I need to make a noise. "Ah." These are noises that give you time to think about your answer. "Ah. I would like a ticket, please, to Piccadilly Circus." Or I could say, "Urgh, I want a ticket please." Or "Urm, I want to go to --." Or the other one would be, "Mmm, I want a ticket." Okay. Good.
So then, my ticket man says, "No problem. That will be four pounds fifty, please." I then say, "You know, I think that's a little bit expensive, a bit expensive." So these are all phrases for expressing an opinion -- if I think that's too big a price. So I could say, "you know, I think that's too expensive." Or, "I mean, I only really want to go one stop, half a mile. You see, I've only got four pounds. Then, I can't eat." Or, "Well, maybe you could give it to me for a little less." Or, "the thing is, Mr. ticket man, I need to go there as well." These are all expressing an opinion to the ticket man. Okay? So one last way of expressive an opinion. I could say, "Well, it's like this. You see, I want to go to Piccadilly, but I can only give you two pounds." Okay? All ways of giving an opinion, of starting "I want, I need". Okay?
The ticket man thinks, and then he says, "Well, for three pounds, I can give you a single. Is that what you want?" "A single? What is a single?" These are all phrases for when I need to think about my answer. So I could say, "Mmm, let me see. A single?" And then I repeat the question he has given to me. Okay? Or I can say, "Now, let me think. That might be a good idea." Or, "Just a minute. I'm going to ask my friend." Or, "Hang on, sir. I need to look in my guidebook to find out." Or, "That's a really interesting question."
Now, the thing about this phrase here, "It's a really interesting question", it's better maybe in school or university. Probably not very appropriate for the London Underground. But it's a good phrase to remember, anyway. Or I could say, "I'm not sure about that. Maybe. Could you tell me more?" Sometimes when you are trying to speak English, you just don't know what to say! Because you are still learning, maybe you need some extra time to think of the correct words. Watch this lesson and learn how English speakers use "hesitation" sounds like "erm", "mmm" and phrases such as "you know" to keep the conversation alive. I'll also teach you some phrases you can easily add to the beginning of sentences to give yourself more time. No more awkward silence! http://www.engvid.com/sound-more-fluent-in-english-hesitation-devices/ TRANSCRIPT Hello. My name is Benjamin. I'm a lost tourist in London, and I don't know where to go. I'm going to talk to the ticket man in the London Underground and see if he can help me. "Hello, Mr. ticket man. I would like a ticket to Piccadilly." The man starts talking to me. "Blah, blah, blah." He asks me a question. I don't know what to say, so I need to make a noise. "Ah." These are noises that give you time to think about your answer. "Ah. I would like a ticket, please, to Piccadilly Circus." Or I could say, "Urgh, I want a ticket please." Or "Urm, I want to go to --." Or the other one would be, "Mmm, I want a ticket." Okay. Good. So then, my ticket man says, "No problem. That will be four pounds fifty, please." I then say, "You know, I think that's a little bit expensive, a bit expensive." So these are all phrases for expressing an opinion -- if I think that's too big a price. So I could say, "you know, I think that's too expensive." Or, "I mean, I only really want to go one stop, half a mile. You see, I've only got four pounds. Then, I can't eat." Or, "Well, maybe you could give it to me for a little less." Or, "the thing is, Mr. ticket man, I need to go there as well." These are all expressing an opinion to the ticket man. Okay? So one last way of expressive an opinion. I could say, "Well, it's like this. You see, I want to go to Piccadilly, but I can only give you two pounds." Okay? All ways of giving an opinion, of starting "I want, I need". Okay? The ticket man thinks, and then he says, "Well, for three pounds, I can give you a single. Is that what you want?" "A single? What is a single?" These are all phrases for when I need to think about my answer. So I could say, "Mmm, let me see. A single?" And then I repeat the question he has given to me. Okay? Or I can say, "Now, let me think. That might be a good idea." Or, "Just a minute. I'm going to ask my friend." Or, "Hang on, sir. I need to look in my guidebook to find out." Or, "That's a really interesting question." Now, the thing about this phrase here, "It's a really interesting question", it's better maybe in school or university. Probably not very appropriate for the London Underground. But it's a good phrase to remember, anyway. Or I could say, "I'm not sure about that. Maybe. Could you tell me more?" Sound is a mechanical wave that is an oscillation of pressure transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gas, composed of frequencies within the range of hearing and of a level sufficiently strong to be heard, or the sensation stimulated in organs of hearing by such vibrations.
Sound is a sequence of waves of pressure that propagates through compressible media such as air or water. (Sound can propagate through solids as well, but there are additional modes of propagation). During propagation, waves can be reflected, refracted, or attenuated by the medium.
The behavior of sound propagation is generally affected by three things:
When sound is moving through a medium that does not have constant physical properties, it may be refracted (either dispersed or focused).
The perception of sound in any organism is limited to a certain range of frequencies. For humans, hearing is normally limited to frequencies between about 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz (20 kHz), although these limits are not definite. The upper limit generally decreases with age. Other species have a different range of hearing. For example, dogs can perceive vibrations higher than 20 kHz, but are deaf to anything below 40 Hz. As a signal perceived by one of the major senses, sound is used by many species for detecting danger, navigation, predation, and communication. Earth's atmosphere, water, and virtually any physical phenomenon, such as fire, rain, wind, surf, or earthquake, produces (and is characterized by) its unique sounds. Many species, such as frogs, birds, marine and terrestrial mammals, have also developed special organs to produce sound. In some species, these produce song and speech. Furthermore, humans have developed culture and technology (such as music, telephone and radio) that allows them to generate, record, transmit, and broadcast sound. The scientific study of human sound perception is known as psychoacoustics.

DJ Fresh (born as Daniel Stein) is an English Drum & Bass and Dubstep producer and DJ. He was one of the principal members of drum & bass supergroup, Bad Company, alongside Darren White (dBridge), Jason Maldini, and Michael Wojcicki (Vegas). He also owns and runs the pioneering drum & bass label Breakbeat Kaos with Adam F.
Along with the three other members of Bad Company, Fresh founded the record label BC Recordings, as well as the website Dogs On Acid. Bad Company are heralded as one of the finest drum & bass acts ever, having produced numerous genre-defining tracks. Undoubtedly their most renowned track is "The Nine", a track released in 1998 when Fresh was just 21 years old. "The Nine" was later voted the greatest drum & bass track of all time by readers of Knowledge Magazine
Resuming his solo career in 2002, Fresh founded Breakbeat Punk, which merged with Adam F's Kaos Recordings to become Breakbeat Kaos in 2003. In 2004 Dogs on Acid was given its own imprint.
Fresh has worked with artists ranging from Pet Shop Boys, DJ Shadow, Apollo 440 to Andy C and Grooverider, and has also held a working relationship with the drum and bass trio Pendulum, whom he signed to Breakbeat Kaos in 2005.

Niomi Arleen McLean-Daley (born 26 April 1981), who performs as Ms. Dynamite, is a double BRIT Award and three time MOBO Awards winning UK garage, R&B and hip hop singer, rapper and MC.
Ms. Dynamite was born and raised in Archway, a district in North London, to a Jamaican father and a Scottish mother. She grew up listening to reggae and hip hop music. Though she wanted to become a schoolteacher or social worker, her biggest aspiration was to be a musician. She is the eldest of eleven siblings, one of whom is a grime artist known as Akala, and attended Acland Burghley School in London.
Ms. Dynamite (originally called Lady Dynamite) was first known for her vocals on the UK garage underground track "Booo!", which was regularly played on London pirate radio stations and was later released as a single. Whilst working at the radio station RAW FM, Ms Dynamite was discovered by Richard Forbes AKA DJ Sticky at a West End club. After a period as a member of the UK garage act So Solid Crew, she released her debut album, A Little Deeper in 2002, featuring the hit songs "It Takes More" and "Dy-na-mi-tee". In 2003, the album was released in the United States to critical acclaim. In 2002, Dynamite won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize, for A Little Deeper. She donated the £20,000 prize to the NSPCC.
