Gavin Christopher Newsom (born October 10, 1967) is an American politician who is the 49th and current Lieutenant Governor of California. Previously, he was the 42nd Mayor of San Francisco, and was elected in 2003 to succeed Willie Brown, becoming San Francisco's youngest mayor in 100 years. Newsom was re-elected in 2007 with 72 percent of the vote. In 2010, Samepoint released a study that measured the social media influence of mayors around the country, and ranking the top 100 most social mayors. San Francisco's Mayor Gavin Newsom was named the Most Social Mayor in America according to the Samepoint study.

Newsom graduated from Redwood High School in Larkspur, California, in 1985, and in 1989 from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. His PlumpJack Wine Shop, founded in 1992, grew into a multimillion-dollar enterprise, and now includes bars, restaurants, and a Lake Tahoe hotel called Squaw Valley Inn. He was first appointed by Willie Brown to serve on San Francisco's Parking and Traffic Commission in 1996, and was appointed the following year as Supervisor. Newsom drew voter attention with his Care Not Cash program, designed to move homeless people into city assisted care. He defeated the Green Party's Matt Gonzalez 53% to 47% in a run-off in his race for mayor in 2003, becoming the youngest mayor of San Francisco since John W. Geary.

Adam Carolla (born May 27, 1964) is an American radio personality, television host, comedian, and actor. He hosts The Adam Carolla Show, a talk show distributed as a podcast which set the record as the "most downloaded podcast" as judged by Guinness World Records.

Carolla co-hosted the syndicated radio call-in program Loveline from 1995 to 2005 as well as the show's television incarnation on MTV from 1996 to 2000. He was the co-host and co-creator of the television program The Man Show (1999–2004), and the co-creator and a regular performer on the television show Crank Yankers (2002–2007). He hosted The Adam Carolla Project, a home improvement television program which aired on TLC in 2005 and The Car Show on Speed TV in 2011.

Carolla has also appeared on the network reality television programs Dancing with the Stars and The Celebrity Apprentice. His book, In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks, debuted on The New York Times Best Seller list in 2010.

Carolla was born in Los Angeles, California. His father, Jim Carolla, a psychologist of Italian heritage, and his mother, Kris (née Novello), who is of Hungarian descent, separated when Adam was young. Carolla was not given a middle name; on his driver's license application he filled the "middle name" blank with "Lakers" (after his love for the Los Angeles Lakers professional basketball team) and the made-up name still appears on his license.

Henry A. "Hank" Plante is an American television reporter and editor. Winner of the George Foster Peabody Award and multiple Emmys, he covered California for three decades for TV stations in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He now writes occasional columns for newspapers in California, usually focusing on politics or gay and lesbian issues. One of the first openly gay TV reporters in the United States, Plante is the recipient of various honors from LGBT rights advocacy organizations and trade groups.

A native of Detroit, Plante worked in both radio and television journalism, including 25 years at KPIX-TV (CBS 5) in San Francisco, before retiring in April 2010. Before that, he worked in print journalism, including at The Washington Post. At KPIX-TV, he interviewed a range of national and state political figures, including Al Gore, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Barack Obama, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

His experience includes reporting and anchoring at TV stations in various cities, including KHJ-TV in Los Angeles, KRIV-TV in Houston, KMSP-TV in Minneapolis and WVEC-TV in Norfolk, Virginia. He also served as Assignment Editor at WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C., and as News Editor at WRC (NBC) Radio in Washington D.C. He began his career as a journalist in Washington, D.C. at the Sentinel Newspapers, where he was managing editor, and at The Washington Post, where he worked on the city desk.

Jennifer Lynn Siebel (born June 19, 1974) is an American documentary filmmaker, actress and the wife of former San Francisco Mayor and current Lieutenant Governor of California Gavin Newsom. She is the director, writer and producer of the film Miss Representation, which premiered in the documentary competition at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The film examines how the media have contributed to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power.

Siebel was born in San Francisco to Ken, an investment manager (second cousin to software entrepreneur Thomas Siebel), and his wife Judy Siebel, co-founder of the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito. Siebel grew up in the Marin County community of Ross, California. Siebel is the oldest of four sisters. Siebel attended Ross Grammar School and The Branson School. During high school, she played varsity basketball, soccer, and tennis. She later graduated with honors from Stanford University, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in 1996 and Master of Business Administration in 2001. Her studies focused on conservation policy and Third World development. At Stanford, she was recruited to play on the women's soccer team. While pursuing her MBA, Siebel also studied at the American Conservatory Theater, where she completed a certificate program. After completing her education, Siebel traveled to Africa, Latin America, and Europe on assignments with Conservation International, a global environmental coalition. Siebel worked in rain forest communities with a focus on helping indigenous populations and creating business enterprise opportunities for women. In 2002, Siebel moved to Hollywood, where she concentrated on building her acting career. Siebel earned many roles in television, film, and theater. Siebel has appeared on many television shows, including Mad Men, Strong Medicine, and Numb3rs.

J. Quinn C. Bradlee, LMNSC (born April 4, 1982) is an American author and filmmaker.

Bradlee is the son of former Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and journalist Sally Quinn, and through his father, is a member of the Boston Brahmin Crowninshield family and the colonial Bradlee family from Boston. He went to the Lab School Of Washington DC until his tenth grade year. He graduated from the Gow School, a college prep school for student with learning disabilities, in 2002, with honors. He also had two years at Landmark College and one year at American University in Washington, DC.

He is the author of a memoir entitled A Different Life: Growing Up Learning Disabled and Other Adventures, documenting his efforts to overcome velo-cardio-facial syndrome (VCFS), a genetically linked syndrome identified by Dr. Robert Shprintzen. Bradlee credits Shprintzen with diagnosing and helping him overcome physical symptoms and learning disabilities.

Bradlee helped make a film about velo-cardio-facial syndrome and the VCFS International Center in Syracuse, New York, which debuted in 2007. He told USA Today he plans to make more films.
