1984 (MCMLXXXIV) was a leap year that started on a Sunday, in accordance with the Gregorian calendar. It is the 1984th year of the Common Era or A.D.; the 984th year of the 2nd millennium; the 84th year of the 20th century; and the 5th year of the 1980s decade.
Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950), better known by his pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist and journalist. Diljit (born 6 January 1984; as Diljit Singh Dosanjh) is a Punjabi singer and film actor.
Diljit Dosanjh debuted with his album Ishq Da Uda Ada. It was released by T-Series. He has come out with 6 albums so far.His most successful album, The Next Level is also his most recent.
Diljit made his acting debut in the Punjabi action flick, The Lion of Punjab which opened to negative reviews from critics, though managed to end up successful at the box office. His next Jatt Romantic pairs him opposite Neeru Bajwa again and is directed by leading Bollywood director Dharmesh Darshan.
John Vincent Hurt, CBE (born 22 January 1940) is an English actor and former voice actor. Among other honours, he has received two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe Award, and four BAFTA Awards, with the fourth being a Lifetime Achievement recognition.
Hurt is known for his leading roles as Joseph Merrick (billed as John Merrick) in The Elephant Man, Winston Smith in Nineteen Eighty-Four, Mr. Braddock in The Hit, Stephen Ward in Scandal, and Quentin Crisp in The Naked Civil Servant and An Englishman in New York. Recognizable for his distinctive rich voice, he has also enjoyed a successful voice acting career, starring in films such as Watership Down, The Lord of the Rings and Dogville, as well as BBC television series Merlin.

Kirron Kher (also Kiran or, Mummy Punjabi, KironPunjabi: ਕਿਰਣ ਖੇਰ; born 14 June 1955) is an Indian theatre, film and television actress and a TV talk show host.
Kirron Kher was born in Bangalore and brought up in Chandigarh, Punjab, where she did her schooling and later college from Panjab University, Chandigarh. At school she was an avid badminton player with her sister, Arjuna award Kanwal Thakar Singh. Their mother, Diljit Singh, was active in sports and dramatics during her college days in pre-partition Punjab. Kirron had a brother, artist Amardeep Singh, who died in 2003.
Kirron Kher made her film debut in 1983 in the Punjabi feature film Aasra Pyar Da and received rave reviews for her performance. She soon took a hiatus from films following her divorce to raise her son, Sikander Kher. Meanwhile, she worked for her second husband Anupam Kher as a costume designer and appeared in one film in between, Pestonjee in 1988, wherein she acted alongside Anupam Kher.
Her return to acting came about with theatre, with the play Saalgirah, by playwright Javed Siddiqui and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan. Then she hosted three television shows, starting with Purushkshetra on Zee TV which got her much acclaimed for bringing out the discussion of sexuality to the forum for the first time, while highlighting women's issues at the same time,Kiron Kher Today and Jagte Raho with Kiron Kher, before doing Bollywood films.
